Nexigo Aurora Pro

The_Hook_Upr/projectors · Unpopular Opinion: Are We Experiencing Peak Hype? My Take on the Valerion VisionMaster Max (And the Echo Chamber Review Culture) →2025-10-21
I can assure you I am not a salesman for any brand. My job is to verify claims and judge relative performance of each projector within a category. You mentioned that you bought a Pro 2 and are no longer a fan of Valerion, is that because you ultimately ended up with a different projector that you like more? If so which one? I stick by my statement that for people looking for a standard throw projector the Pro 2 is still the highest performance per dollar available until XGIMI can fix DBLE. As mentioned by Chaiscool, I use a Nexigo Aurora Pro MKII in my personal setup, not only because I prefer UST screens, but I also like ALPD light sources more than triple laser due to extremely mild protan color blindness that makes it more difficult for me to perceive the entire color volume of the red laser in a tri-laser.

Unfortunately no projector will be good without a screen during the day. That's just the reality. To look good at all during the day you need an ALR UST screen.

Sketchy reviews? Some of the most reputable reviewers in the industry have had nothing but praise for it. Not to mention it has a 2 year warranty so if it’s less than you are covered.

cr0ftr/projectors · AWOL VISION LTV-2500 4K vs. Samsung 120" The Premiere LSP7T 4K →2024-03-23
No, they're not decent in a lit room without a CLR screen. Like any other projector, they suck immensely in a lit room; with a CLR screen they suck considerably less and are actually mostly watchable. Best Ultra Short Throw Projectors 2023 (UST) || AWOL LTV-3500 Pro, Nexigo Aurora Pro, Epson LS800 | The Hook Up, YouTube and Best Ultra Short Throw Projectors 2022 (UST) || AWOL LTV-3500, FORMOVIE Theater, XGIMI AURA | The Hook Up, YouTube may be of intrest; I don't think he's reviewed the Samsung. But all current UST's give a great image, some better than others. ALR Screen VS White WALL - Side by Side Comparison in Different Lighting Conditions | Chris Maher, YouTube is a great video to see what happens in the daylight with and without a CLR screen. The CLR screen is superior in the dark, and in another league in the light. If you're buying an UST, the screen is not really optional, it's part of the solution... in my opinion. Even the cheapest Wemax or whatever you can find around the $5-600 mark (I believe) will be waaay better than a wall, and a Formovie Fresnel at 100 inches is around $800 now. Going to 120 tends to drive the price up a little. And if you want a floor-rising motorized you're now north of $1000. As for gaming, you want something with low latency. Right now, the Nexigo Aurora Pro is one of the better choices, most likely. All electronics can break. Almost all of them are Chinese-made and have more or less shaky support, but if you're concerned you should buy from a specialized retailer that takes responsibility and stands up for the customer, maybe Projectorscreen or someone like them.

If you want best contrast possible I would get Nexigo aurora pro mk 2 instead. It should be fine for a 100-120" in a darker room and have better contrast then upper mentioned models, but if you do need the extra brightness AWOL might be worth considering as well.

Miserable-Table652r/projectors · Nexigo Aurora Pro MkII / MK2 Why so few reviews? →2026-03-03
Avoid: Failed at 8% of Advertised Lifespan – No Support I purchased the NexiGo Aurora Pro in December 2023 for £2,479.12 . The product is explicitly marketed with an "Average Life Span" of 20,000–25,000 hours . After approximately 1,600 hours of light use (roughly 8% of its advertised life), the laser engine suffered a catastrophic failure, resulting in an orange/red tinted image with permanent dark spots. Despite acknowledging the 20,000-hour expectation, NexiGo Support and Amazon have both refused a free repair or replacement, citing that the unit is past its 12-month manufacturer warranty. They claimed that 26 months of ownership constitutes "satisfactory use" and "typical average life," which directly contradicts their own technical specifications. The Facts: Price Paid: £2,479.12 Advertised Life: 20,000+ Hours Actual Life Achieved: ~1,600 Hours (8%) Resolution Offered: A £330 ($400) repair bill and two pairs of 3D glasses. If you expect a premium laser projector to last more than two years, look elsewhere. A product failing at 8% of its promised lifespan is not "durable" or "fit for purpose" under UK Consumer Law, yet this brand refuses to stand behind its own claims once the 12-month clock runs out.

Consistent_Arm_5158r/hometheater · Help a Noob Choose 120" UST + Screen ($5k Budget) - LS800 vs. Aurora Pro vs. Others? →2025-11-01
You have a light controlled room. If you need some extra brightness, the Aurora Pro MKII plus Fresnel screen should be much better suited for your space. And it’s well below your budget so you can spend some money on audio. The LS800 is not great for contrast, but it’s great for a bright room setup.

I also considered Nexigo Aurora Pro because of many YouTubers, untill I finally saw one. It was my first DLP UST projector. Very high fan noise. Pixel grid. Annoying 4K shifting mechanism. No one mentioned it, but https://www.mondoprojos.fr/2025/05/21/test-nexigo-aurora-pro-mkii/ Not to mention speckle, that is a bigger problem than many reviewers present. I decided to stick to my old quiet Sony or maybe upgrade to JVC. There is an opposite example. I wanted to buy a Sony Bravia 5 98", but reconsidered after RTINGS review. Turns out 98" version is brighter and better than 98X90L, but Sony 2500 cashback campaign was already over.

i'm also very interrested by the Nexigo Aurora Pro for its low latency and color accuracy. i'm wondering if formovie fresnel ALR screen would be a good choice for this projector... specialy regarging gain / deep black / contrast.

mrlance2019r/BenQ · HT4550i review after purchase →2023-12-20
I have a BenQ TK 700 I've been using faithfully for the last year. The thing that caught my eye with the ht4550i is the local dimming and obviously the color space difference over the TK 700. Only thing is I do 60% gaming and 40% movies, in gaming I run at the 4K 60 setting for the added resolution. I would love the extra saturated colors and additional contrast in HDR mode. I'm just not sure if that alone just yet warrants a good upgrade. I was also looking in to going maybe UST like the nexigo aurora pro model, but wasn't sure how the 4k120 input and vrr beta would work if it only outputs 4k60.
