  I received the JMGO N1S pro 4K and i am really happy with my choice, the contrast is muche better and easyer to place. No i will be looking for a dedicated screen. Will just need to convince the gf about it haha.

  Unfortunately no or just not usable. I try Avatar 3D BluRay, this is the result output when activate Over-Under 3D (Top/Bottom). It seems the 3D frame package image shown as Over-Under 3D image will put into a Side-by-Side output as frame packed video. BluRay 3D Option is not available via HDMI (greyed out).

  Tonight I had talked to Dangbei support about the 3D issue including error description, photos and short videos. They answered two hours ago telling me, there will be an Update on monday 12th August 2024 via OTA (Settings > About [or Info] > System Update) Hope it will be true and functional... Edit: Dangbei did not have released an update. I returned the projector today.

  I got an answer. However, the 3D works fine, but the annoying sound of the eShift lenses are too much loud for me in 2D mode.

  No worries! I can confirm even on the current software version that focusing and placement work the same way as on the Atom model which is the 1080p version with the same optical specs (other than half the brightness) and from what I've tried so far both automatically (or manually) adjust the same way.

  I find most of my 3d Blu rays used at the local buy and sell store. Lots of people are moving away from 3d so you can get the discs for cheap. The Marvel movies all look great in 3d same with animated flicks like you mentioned.

  Hey man, that is DLP projector it should have near infinite contrast. You won't get anything better from any projector. Seems you just have non-ready room for projector. Room should be as dark as possible. No light colors. You can also improve contrast by using light returning screens or other special contrast improving screens. Just Grey screen will make your brightness lower not only in blacks but in whites also. So basically it doesn't improve contrast ratio but blacks will be more black for sure.

  Using a wall as a screen is your issue op. If you want better contrast performance. Make the investment towards a grey screen.

  The picture quality is great. The android tv UI is a treat to use. However, the autofocus and auto keystone are a hit or miss. No where near as reliable as an xgimi horizon ultra or Jmgo N1s ultra

  I couldnt wait this. I bought viewsonic lx700-4k. Lx700 comes with 0.65dmd. I think dangbei uses 0.47dmd. What do you think. Which one is better. Did ı make the wrong choice buying lx700

  Thanks for your replies, you likely saved me from going through the same thing. I ended up getting lucky and found a barely used Epson 4030 with an extra bulb for $200 bucks on the Facebook marketplace, the 3d is fantastic.

  Thanks for the comment. That youtube video was part of a reddit post by u/robbiekhan which you can check out for more information. He says he's waiting for Dangbei to drop a big software update before releasing a full review. The Vidda C2 Pro/Ultra looks pretty incredible! I really wish I knew what the price of these are going to be. Them having optical zoom is a game changer, you don't really see that in these lifestyle projectors. Might be worth it to wait and see, glad you said something!

  Thanks for the detailed update, Robbie! A personal request would be to cover any difficulties you might have faced getting the proper placement of the projector as it does not have optical zoom and any negatives that come along with digitally adjusting the picture. Thanks again!
