Les utilisateurs Reddit saluent les couleurs et la qualité générale, mais certains trouvent l’image mate moins contrastée et moins profonde.

    r/LGOLED · LG G6/C6 vs Samsung S95H

You are on an LG forum, so all your answers will be skewed towards LG, for instance, no one mentioned the color accuracy of the QD-OLED panel vs the WOLED that the LGs both have, or the color-banding that exists on WOLED panels that almost never appears on QD-OLED, I have both an LG C6 and a Samsung S90F and I can tell you that the S90F is far better at gaming, color accuracy, off-axis viewing, and HDR brightness. HDR10 vs Dolby Vision is only really a large issue on cheaper televisions with poor tone-mapping, very negligible on these 3 TVs. The G6 is brighter in most situations, but that is about it, you would be happy with any of these three TVs, but unless you are watching a lot of SDR upscaled content, the S95H is the winner.

r/OLED_Gaming · Samsung S95h VS LG oled G6: how much better is the S95 for gaming exactly?

The Samsung has superior color volume on paper Thats why reviewers say it’s color is better. And you see that clearly in the measurements. But apart from some demo material on YouTube there is next to no content whixh actually uses it. And in reality you almost never have a fully saturated color whixh is that bright. You usually have always some part of white mixed in it. Sunlight, flashlights or room light whixh is usually the brightest part of the image in gaming scenarios are partially white and the G5/6 can easily get bright enough there. There were some fully saturated neon signs in cyberpunk that were Somewhat brighter on the QD oled but even there the difference was not night and day. In all the other scenes usually the G5 was brighter. The matte coating is meant to surpress reflections so it doesn’t look like a mirror. Zhe problem is it diffuses the light over a larger area whixh makes the image loose contrast - oleds biggest strength and the most important aspect of image quality. This leads to a flatter looking picture which is not as crisp and 3d dish like a glossy screen. If you Digg deeper in the enthusiast community you will see other enthusiasts confirm this view. For Thai reason alone I would pick the G5/6 over ghe Samsungs any time of the day

r/OLED_Gaming · Samsung S95h VS LG oled G6: how much better is the S95 for gaming exactly?

If you do the brightness mod and unlock 4500 nits on the S95H, the difference is probably pretty big. Without it, the differences mainly lie at the rare occasions where the S95H can tap into its superior BT2020 coverage, which is pretty rare in actual content. If you’re someone that doesn’t care about color accuracy and uses wide gamut and color booster and everything cranked though you might notice it more.

    Films & séries
r/OLED_Gaming · Which OLED TV gives you the best picture quality?

The vast majority of DV content (and 100% of streaming DV content) is mastered with a minimal enhancement layer that serves only to tonemap down highlights that a TV can’t display. On a TV as bright as the S95H that serves very little purpose. You should ask yourself the same question.

    Dolby VisionFilms & séries
r/OLED_Gaming · Conseil sur achat nouvelle TV oled

WOLEDs don’t even really have higher peak brightness. The S95H can be modded to do ~4500 nits highlights which is way higher than the G6. Samsung just drives their panels conservatively.

By the way I have done pre-calibration for my S95H today. It can reach 4500 nits at a 2% window with a certain setting without going into service menu for gaming. I have just posted gaming settings on avsforum. For the G6 with the latest firmware it can hit 3400 nits in a 2% window, but what is impressive is that it can do 3100 nits at 10% window which is even higher than the S95H’s 2800 nits at the same size window (with or without the 4500 nits unlock). I will do proper color calibration after they have reached 200 hours of normal use time.

I'm basically right where you are. I'm more or less set on the Bravia 9 ii, but I'd consider either the Samsung s95h, s90h (maybe), or r95h because they offer a government employee discount. Definitely not the last TV from Sony. That said I’ve seen the BRAVIA 9II side bi side with the LG and Samsung and it was not even close. What they could do in blacks looked impressive, but you could tell they were just crushing black level detail that the Sony resolved perfectly. When they started getting bright is where the OLEDs just fell apart in color saturation and the Sony pulled far ahead. As others have mentioned…go 85!

r/bravia · Sony Bravia 7 II vs Sony Bravia 9 II opinion

Because it can get bright and stay bright (no ABL), and the algorithm Sony uses for its local dimming is really good. In HDR content, everything pops extremely well and the colors are some of the best out there that you’ll find on a TV. Definitely go see it in person and also look at the G6 and the Samsung s95H. The only other TV I would have purchased is the Samsung, because it has the best colors, but the issue I have with it is the full screen brightness and also the frame around it looks hideous. Design wise, I loved how the G6 looks, and it can maintain better brightness than the Samsung in full screen but the colors are not as nice to my eye.

r/OLED_Gaming · Which OLED TV gives you the best picture quality?

Well, it’s either the latest Samsung or the latest LG. I believe Sony doesn’t have anything this generation on the OLED side, so technically Samsung and LG are better. Samsung’s S99H or American S95H is kind of horrible looking to me, so I don’t think I’d ever buy that. I’m looking at the European S95H here, and it seems like a very good mix of value and performance, considering its current sale. Buying on sale is always recommended for TVs. I think there aren’t actually huge differences between LG and Samsung right now, and you should often consider something a bit cheaper because the reality is the pricing structures for these TVs often means you pay a lot of money for a relatively small improvement if you buy the absolute highest end, just even looking at last generations flagship is a good idea, I would argue. I think the big difference between Samsung and LG right now is that Samsung has a matte screen and LG has a glossy screen. I think both have their merits. Only I have a soft spot for math screens because honestly I prefer to play games and consume content in a brighter environment. If you are someone who loves your dark room gaming experience, I do think that glossy is preferable. For gaming, you are really mostly paying for panel and less for processing. So focus mostly on that.

Why is nobody here talking about near back handling and gradients ? This to me is one of the biggest advantages of QD. The G6 relies on processing to improve gradients (see their advertising, it's like the main feature of the G6 compared to the G5). However, I've seen very little talk about game mode. Is this processing turned off in game mode ? If so, then the Samsung is an easy choice.

r/OLED_Gaming · Samsung S95h VS LG oled G6: how much better is the S95 for gaming exactly?

Im no expert but I went to the store to compare them. I always prefer matt screens and have a lot of samsung stuff. They played some game footage, Horizon Forbidden West, but even my untrained eyes noticed something was off. Suddenly it hit me, the LG had a lot more depth. With Alloy in the middle of the screen, the world looked like it was in the distance, a lot more compared to the samsung which looked really flat. Im somewhat of a samsung fan but definitely a matt screen fan, but for an OLED tv, I'd go with the LG. It was that obvious. (I wouldnt use it in a sunny room). Happy to read the other guy's arguments, confirming what I saw was real. I'd suggest going to the store yourself to compare them. The analysis tools might say they're close, but they're very different. I bet you can make up your mind within ten seconds when viewing them in real life. I also found the LG design a lot more attractive. All of them G/C/B. Thats why the samsung S90f (also glossy) got crossed from my list.

If you are the kind of person that boosts color vibrancy or straight up uses the vivid color present, the advantage of the s95 is significant. If you use accurate color or only slightly boosted color the advantage of the s95 becomes minimal, because almost no content is mastered for more than P3 color space (both the G6 and s95 cover it). With that considered many even argue the G6 is superior because of its better blacks on bright rooms and Dolby support.

From what helped me before, tbh I’d separate panel quality from living with the thing every day. For pure 4k gaming, [Samsung S95H](https://featherab.com/shopit?q=Samsung%2BS95H%2BOLED%2BTV%2Bgaming%2B4K%2BHDR) is probably the more exciting pick if you care most about color volume, bright highlights, and a punchier HDR look in game mode. LG OLED G6 still makes sense if the flush wall look, cleaner bezel, Dolby Vision support, and LG’s gaming menus matter more than squeezing out the last bit of HDR impact. I would not call it a huge night and day gap for gaming, more like Samsung wins the spec-head comparison while LG may be easier to live with. If the bezel already bothers you now, it probably keeps bothering you after the honeymoon fades.

They are very similar in performance when it comes to picture processing and how they handle motion. It's one of the reasons why I love Sony. However, it's just not as bright and vibrant as the Bravia 8 II. That's because the XR8B uses a standard WOLED panel vs the QD-OLED found on the Bravia 8 II or Samsung S95F. Personally, if you can't justfiy the price jump to the Bravia 8 II then I would look at the Samsung S95F (or S95H) or S90F. These use QD-OLED panels, so you will still get that vibrant color reproduction, in fact Samsung is even brighter than Sony, the only downside is that you would lose out on that top tier Sony processing.

And in my media room I am planning to get 83” lg g6 later on Black Friday. I was so torn between both I loved both so much. I think from what I’ve read samsung is better for gaming and lg for content consumption. Can I ask you a few questions? Which of these TVs have more of a 3d pop in HDR? Is s95f brighter in gaming (highlights, color volume etc?) Have you tried plugging your pc to g6 and used it at 165hz? I read it has washed out colors at 165hz. Does the Samsung have that behavior too? I appreciate it in advance 🙏🏼

If you set your colorspace on the Samsung S95H to "auto" instead of "Normal" or "Native" you will be way more close to the directors intent. If you want to get even closer, put it in filmmaker mode. With professional calibration, both the LG G6 and Samsung S95H can have accurate colors. Where you will see the Samsung shine is color luminance (how bright colors can get besides white) with Samsungs QD-OLED panel vs the older WOLED style. Also, in a pitch black room you can't see the matte finish on the Samsung without being uncomfortably close, I'd say 2ft or less. If you are going bigger than 77" though, I'd go LG G6 since the QD-OLED panel is only available in the 55" to 77" models on the Samsung.

r/4kTV · Buying a “big boy” TV for first time ever, and caught in the OLED vs. Mini LED spin cycle

In a bright room, give serious consideration to the impact reflections will have on your viewing experience. I bought a Samsung qn90f due to its ant-reflective panel. My tv is on the west wall in a room with floor to ceiling windows on the south wall, 16' ceiling. The room is flooded with light and the qn90f panel swallowed the reflections. I suggest you visit BestBuy or a local retailer and look at the sets in person to see how they handle reflections. The s95f and s95h and s90h have a matte screen similar to the qn90f. Some other new models (e.g. Sony Bravoa 7ii and 9ii) also have new anti-reflective screens. Give them a view. In a bright room, reflections on the screen can have a big impact on your viewing experience.

If you're primarily concerned about watching Movies/TV content and the creator's intent, then the G6 is the preferred choice by most due to Dolby Vision being heavily supported by many creators over HDR 10+(especially if you watch 4K Blurays). Any professional calibrator will likely mention going for the G6 for movie accuracy. For gaming, on the other hand, the S95H has the edge. In the end, they're both amazing TVs, and it comes down to a few preferences. If you're going for the 77" or 83" C6H, you might be satisfied with these due to having the same Tandem Oled display as the G6 models at a lower cost. Only slightly less bright, less anti-reflective, and no heatsink on the C6H.

r/bravia · Does the Sony BRAVIA 8 II Have Posterization & Quantization Issues
