I also Analyse games with a reshade HDR Analyser and the instances where you really profit from the BT2020 gamut are very, very rare. 98 percent of games dont even use BT 2020 and even if yes, a few percent at best. What’s way more common is that you have lights and colors which have a bit of white in them (like the sun) and there the G5/6 is brighter by quite a bit. Apart from that the G5 had more clarity and definition and depth to the image to me, I think because of the glossy coating. I would buy a G5/6 any time again over the matte Samsungs, especially since they even have the immersion breaking frame now.

And you see that clearly in the measurements. But apart from some demo material on YouTube there is next to no content whixh actually uses it. And in reality you almost never have a fully saturated color whixh is that bright. You usually have always some part of white mixed in it. Sunlight, flashlights or room light whixh is usually the brightest part of the image in gaming scenarios are partially white and the G5/6 can easily get bright enough there. There were some fully saturated neon signs in cyberpunk that were Somewhat brighter on the QD oled but even there the difference was not night and day. In all the other scenes usually the G5 was brighter. The matte coating is meant to surpress reflections so it doesn’t look like a mirror. Zhe problem is it diffuses the light over a larger area whixh makes the image loose contrast - oleds biggest strength and the most important aspect of image quality. This leads to a flatter looking picture which is not as crisp and 3d dish like a glossy screen. If you Digg deeper in the enthusiast community you will see other enthusiasts confirm this view. For Thai reason alone I would pick the G5/6 over ghe Samsungs any time of the day

It will activate allm. It’s the exact same input lag than. You just have set all the professional tone mapping sliders wo 100 to avoid double ton mapping. r/LGOLED · LG G6/C6 vs Samsung S95H You are on an LG forum, so all your answers will be skewed towards LG, for instance, no one mentioned the color accuracy of the QD-OLED panel vs the WOLED that the LGs both have, or the color-banding that exists on WOLED panels that almost never appears on QD-OLED, I have both an LG C6 and a Samsung S90F and I can tell you that the S90F is far better at gaming, color accuracy, off-axis viewing, and HDR brightness. HDR10 vs Dolby Vision is only really a large issue on cheaper televisions with poor tone-mapping, very negligible on these 3 TVs. The G6 is brighter in most situations, but that is about it, you would be happy with any of these three TVs, but unless you are watching a lot of SDR upscaled content, the S95H is the winner.

The biggest advantage of QD-OLED isn't color gamut coverage; it’s the fact that the combined brightness of the RGB primaries equals the peak white brightness. In contrast, the combined RGB brightness of the G6 is only 1,200 nits, representing just 35% of its peak white brightness. This is why QD-OLED models consistently take the top spots for "Best Gaming TV" and "Best Gaming Monitor" on Rtings. Color gamut coverage isn't the main factor—since most games still target the Rec. 709 standard—but rather the RGB brightness capabilities of QD-OLED.

r/LGOLED · LG G5 worth it over the C5 I have a G4 but the relative difference between the models in generations is about the same. G4 is amazing and I've seen the reviews for G5 and 6 as well, they had some issues but are great now after updates. It's really good so happy, the one thing I'll say is by going for a G over a C or B, you will have less thoughts like this is great, but I wonder how good the G is, maybe I should have got the better model etc. You have the best of the generation. Would definitely recommend going through the settings and familiarising yourself with them. Particularly brightness and colour ones. With colour, I was a little disappointed by the image from my PC and then I noticed the colour gamut option. Swapped from default to another option and it looked like getting a whole new TV, colours were suddenly amazing. Definitely recommend tweaking a profile to your liking rather than just using standard or vivid (standard is too bland, vivid is too vivid).

G is in general better in brightness and has better anti-reflective coating than C. So either you want the best which is more expensive or great which is cheaper, but still not cheap. If you have money, go for G. If you want to save, go for C. If you buy C, you'll want to upgrade in a few years and you'll spend another €1000-€2000 for a midrange OLED. I always say, better to buy the best you want now if you can afford it and have the best product for 10 years than buy cheaper now and upgrade for a cheaper after 5 years and have midrange product for a 10 years for the same amount of money in total.

As in there is a decent amount of difference between the C6 and the G6, but there isn’t much between the G6 and the G5 (and in fact some prefer the G5 over the G6). In case there is no G5 option, for everyday use, if your room is dark in general, the C5 will work well for it, but if it has a lot of light in general, then the G6’s brighter screen will be much more useful.

r/OLED_Gaming · LG C2 42 to LG G6 55 Flickering is insane No idea, I am only a sample size of 1 so maybe some other G6 users who are crazy enough to use a 55" as a monitor can chime in as I doubt TV watchers from 6ft+ will notice any of these things. I definitely don't intend to keep it in this state. Its possible the voltage regulator in this unit is just subpar, like I know what VRR flicker is even from back when the very first gsync monitors came out which were LCDs and it was far less noticeable back then. The fact that this G6 has flickering even without VRR and I can see it there too sucks, but I also wouldn't ever play without VRR like you say.

With the C2 I never experienced the near black flickering to this extent at all. Even with VRR off I can see flickering on this G6 its just worse when VRR is on. The only fix I've found is setting black level to 52 from 50 but then you give up perfect blacks lol

I think part of the reason my C2 doesn't suffer like this is that it just innately has a good degree of black crush so it doesn't actually try to show a 1,1,1 grey color, if i go to lagom black level test the first square i can see is 5 on the C2, the G6 is better at showing those first few squares but it becomes really challenging for the panel to provide that low level of voltage with a fluctuating framerate so it manifests into a bunch of flickering.

I'm not going to be buying another WOLED if it keeps its white subpixel, will be waiting for RGB WOLED or QD OLED so long as they are RGB stripe for good text clarity.

Whats really interesting is the G6 even flickers without VRR when showing near black scenes, I can make it go away with black level set to 52 but that also eliminates having perfect blacks.

It can reach 4500 nits at a 2% window with a certain setting without going into service menu for gaming. I have just posted gaming settings on avsforum. For the G6 with the latest firmware it can hit 3400 nits in a 2% window, but what is impressive is that it can do 3100 nits at 10% window which is even higher than the S95H’s 2800 nits at the same size window (with or without the 4500 nits unlock). I will do proper color calibration after they have reached 200 hours of normal use time.

I have made the higher-tier versus bigger-size choice before, and distance changes the whole thing. The [LG G6 55 inch OLED TV](https://featherab.com/shopit?q=LG%2BG6%2B55%2Binch%2BOLED%2BTV) will probably look a bit better in brightness and refinement, but from 12 feet the smaller size is going to make that advantage harder to appreciate. The LG C6 65 inch OLED TV gives you more immersion, easier subtitles, and a more obvious upgrade every single time you sit down. I would only choose the LG G6 55 inch OLED TV if wall mounting style, room brightness, or the gallery design matters more than screen impact.

LG OLED G6 still makes sense if the flush wall look, cleaner bezel, Dolby Vision support, and LG’s gaming menus matter more than squeezing out the last bit of HDR impact. I would not call it a huge night and day gap for gaming, more like Samsung wins the spec-head comparison while LG may be easier to live with. If the bezel already bothers you now, it probably keeps bothering you after the honeymoon fades.

C5 based on those options but if you have lots of glare, S95F is better. If you have lots of reflections, G5/G6 is better 3. I'd throw everything out. Samsung also doesn't support Dolby vision which was a no go for me. On the LG side whether to go C6 or G6 depends on your use case, sensitivity, room brightness and screen size. For 90% id recommend the C6 because the G simply isn't worth the extra cost for most, if your looking the 77" or above theres even less difference (uses G panel). G is great for wall mounting (flush chassis) and has a brighter panel (but C still gets really bright. Id go G if you want a flush mount or have a stupidly bright room.

r/LGOLED · Should I buy this or save up for a G4/G in December? The B series is the base/entry level model for LG OLEDs. The C series is the midrange and the G series is the flagship. There's also the M series and now they brought back the W series to replace the M series with. Those two are basically the exact same as the G series (so still their flagship OLED), but they're only meant to be wall mounted and come with an external box that houses all of the hdmi, ethernet, optical, usb... etc ports for the TV, along with the processor and all that stuff in order to allow the TV itself to be as thin as possible to be able to sit as thin as possible against your wall. The "W" actually stands for "Wallpaper" in this case, due to the intent of the TV's design. As for the distinction in terms of performance, the B series is very dim in comparison. Talking specifically about the B5, since that's the generation you seem to be looking at here, it doesn't even reach 1000 nits. Just in case you aren't aware, nits is a measurement of brightness, and the industry standard for measuring how bright a TV can get is on a 10% window. So, 10% of the entire surface of the TV panel itself. 1000 nits on this standard is typically the bare minimum requirement to be able to produce an effective HDR image, as every piece of content that is mastered in HDR is mastered at a minimum of 1000 nits. Some are mastered at 4000 nits. Some at 10,000 nits. So, I would not reccomend the B5 if you watch HDR content or if your room has lights on. The C5 gets you a lot more brightness than the B5. The C5 gets nicely above 1000 nits, typically between 1200-1500 nits, and it also has better processing than the B5, as well as a slightly faster panel (144hz). The B5 has a 120hz panel. The G5 is the flagship, so it stands head and shoulders above both of them. Now usually I'd say the flagship is not worth it over the C series unless you have the money to spare, but in this generation, it's the rare case that it's actually worth it and it actually lived up to the hype it generated. The G5 is the first time LG has addressed taking on qd-oleds for color, and while they still haven't quite gotten there just yet, the G5 had closed the gap so much that you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference unless you had them side by side playing the same demo content pushing colors beyond the limits of the TVs themselves. So, for reference, the G5 can reach a staggering 2500 nits (likely even higher now since the last big update actually raised the brightness in almost all the modes quite significantly). It's color volume also far, far exceeds the C5, so colors will look far deeper and much more pure on the G5 in instances where they push beyond the C5's capabilities. The brightness also helps to push those colors to be significantly more vibrant than the C5 is capable of, even when the color volume of the content itself doesn't push beyond the C5's capabilities, when the brightness of those colors goes beyond the brightness of the C5, the C5 will be forced tk shift those colors towards white in order to hit the brightness levels being called for, whereas the G5 will still have a comfortable amount of room until it needs to shift towards white. So, the G5 not only can display significantly more colors than the C5, but it can also display significantly more vibrant and deep colors than the C5. So, my conclusion is this: if you can save for it, get the G5. BUT, don't just look at the G5. I actually would like you to take a look at the C6H of the new generation. This is the C series, but specifically the 77-inch and 83-inch sizes, as this year is the first year LG is putting the G series panel on the C series (again exclusively on the 77-inch and 83-inch sizes only). So, the C6H (the "H" is the designation for the models that have the G series panel on it), has the G6's panel, of which is a more refined version of the G5. Slightly better color volume, better brightness, and more importantly, the newer processor, of which basically eliminates any color banding and posterization issues, of which the G5 still has in some specific scenes. Now, the C6H won't be as bright as the G6, obviously, but it should be a very good chunk of the majority of the G5's brightness. My guess is at least 2000 nits on the C6H. So, if you can save up for at least the 77-inch C6H, then I highly urge you to do that, as that specific oled is, imo, going to be the absolute best oled for the price for this year and likely for the next couple of years. The 77-inch C6H, for reference, shouldn't cost much more than a 77-inch G5. And it could potentially cost less once discounts start to hit it throughout the year. But, if a 77-inch is not the size you're looking for, and you want to go smaller, then absolutely just save for the G5. I'd say G6, but it would be quite a bit more expensive. But, if it is something you could save for then yea, the G6 will be even better, and you'd get a more refined panel and much better processing than the G5. One last thing to note here is that the sizes below 55 inches do not use the same panels. This goes for both the C series and the G series. The sizes below 55 inches are significantly less bright and less colorful than the larger sizes. The C series actually gets less bright than the B series at the smaller sizes. That's how much you lose going less than 55 inches. The same applies for the monstrous 97 inch size of the G series. Although, that's obviously not in the budget anyway, as it's 25k, lol. It's also obviously not worth anywhere near that amount even if you had that kind of money. So, yea, stay away from the B series unless you dont watch much hdr and mainly watch it in a completely dark room. The C series is fantastic, but, I only recommend it to anyone who doesn't watch a ton of hdr content and/doesn't have the money for the G series. I also will be reccomending the C6H over the g series to basically everyone now, as i believe it to be the current best deal oled on the new market. Lastly, the G4 is basically just a slightly brighter C5. It is not worth it anymore. Only look at the G5 or G6 if you can save for those. C5 if you want to budget yourself more. And C6H if you are looking for a 77-inch or 83-inch size and want the best picture quality without having to spend G6 prices. Sorry for the long response, but I hope this helps.

G6 is much brighter and obviously is far better than C6. But I think the real deal for you should be the size of the TV. Personally, if given an option, I would opt for 65 inch C6 rather than 55 inch G6 if 65 is the right size for me. Reflection handling with G6 is better than C6. If you plan to use the TV with limited ambient light in your room, you could go with C5/C6. You can even look for deals on C5 and G5 if they are available around.

I’ve read a lot of reports lately saying that the 77- and 83-inch models have very severe vertical banding! As for the stand: someone from India was here recently who’s having serious trouble getting the stand model (LS). Apparently, LG India only ships TVs with wall mounts (WS)—keep that in mind. Stands aren’t always available right away, so you might end up waiting forever before you can set up the TV.

G6 (and G5) have the quad layer panel and it makes a really big difference. Worth paying, if you can afford the extra price. (I have in my living room 65" Philips OLED910 from last year with same LG panel as the G5 and its absolutely brilliant).

I saw an g5 here and gave it to my parents. no real difference. all this brightness marketing bs every year. of course they want to sell you a new one every year. with oleds from the last years Pic quality is 99% player chain settings and content. it sometimes seems most of the g5/6 marketing victims here are using a soundbar and stream Netflix but trying to get blind while watching in vivid.. I always think, invest in audio that's really making a difference. and if you want better Pic get an 4k player or an ugoos with dv fel for your local remuxes because that's night and day to streaming

I know G5 is 30% and now G6 is like 50% more brighter, but would like to try a 77" S95H to check the reality of color volume etc, especially during gaming in PC HDR. The S95H is currently now on sale for 3k dollars. My problem is how much should I sell my G4 for and how to make people buy it. In my country some are listing the TV for 1.9k/2k dollars, nit many of them. I can go lower to sell it, question is, is it really worth it now or wait for 240hz, 4000 nits capable OLEDs? I think we are already pushing the limits in terms of brightness of OLEDs in general, so some new tech may come by in just 4 years, making everything else obsolete.

This to me is one of the biggest advantages of QD. The G6 relies on processing to improve gradients (see their advertising, it's like the main feature of the G6 compared to the G5). I always prefer matt screens and have a lot of samsung stuff. They played some game footage, Horizon Forbidden West, but even my untrained eyes noticed something was off. Suddenly it hit me, the LG had a lot more depth. With Alloy in the middle of the screen, the world looked like it was in the distance, a lot more compared to the samsung which looked really flat. Im somewhat of a samsung fan but definitely a matt screen fan, but for an OLED tv, I'd go with the LG. It was that obvious. (I wouldnt use it in a sunny room). Happy to read the other guy's arguments, confirming what I saw was real. I'd suggest going to the store yourself to compare them. The analysis tools might say they're close, but they're very different. I bet you can make up your mind within ten seconds when viewing them in real life. I also found the LG design a lot more attractive. All of them G/C/B. Thats why the samsung S90f (also glossy) got crossed from my list.

With that considered many even argue the G6 is superior because of its better blacks on bright rooms and Dolby support.

My reasoning is that the G6 solves the diagonal dithering over the G5, and I upgrade TVs only every 5 years, so might as well get the G6. Whether the dithering solution is worth it to you at extra 600$ is upto you. Most people don’t notice the dither unless they’re looking for problems or sit too close. I belong to the former, so the extra 600 is worth it for my peace of mind.

My experience with the C6 48" was that the first panel I received had two stuck subpixels, one of which resolved after a pixel cleaning. I returned the unit to Bestbuy in exchange for another panel, which had no defects at all. Interestingly, both panels calibrated to exactly the same brightness of 1480nits in Win11 HDR tool, and neither had any subjective flicker with or without VRR enabled, and both panels have near perfect gray uniformity with no significant DSE or vertical banding reported on other tandem panels.

I use OLED monitor daily but on my PC and it wasnt ever that bad even while shuffling things in menus with fps drops. I have no idea what VRR flicker usually is on consoles, but i assume you are using this on PC too if you are also talking about eye strain from reddit? Were you trying different cables/ports? Is behavior the same on HDMI - console, DP - PC? I sometimes hook up my C3 to PC and lock fps to 117 with gsync enabled and if theres flicker its similiar to the one i get on monitor which is qd-oled but i have beefy PC so its hard to fall under the cap and get and intense flicker (but even then like i said its nowhere close to yours)

I wonder if they changed something in the G6. \>I'll be eagerly waiting for the 4k 360hz TB600 qd oleds early next year as my next upgrade path. That doesn't change anything about VRR flicker. If anything, it might even make it worse. My 321URX QD-OLED has much more noticeable VRR flicker than my G5 in the same games. Esp in dark games like silent hill

r/4kTV · Oled vs mini led bright room Have the TCl qm8k in my bright sunroom that replaced a 7-8 year old TCL 6 series. Lots of direct sun and I don’t have shades to darken room and the qm8k handles it well. There are some reflections but it’s hardly noticeable since the screen is so bright and most importantly, the picture doesn’t washout, unlike with my older 6 series which actually is quite a bit brighter than your LG B5. I’ve an older C7 that is hard to watch with the drapes open thats comparable to the B5. The qm7k will be about 3x times as bright is your B5, the qm8k about 5x. Neither have the nice inky blacks of your oled so if that’s important, the LG G6 would be better.
r/4kTV · Which deal is better? 65" LG C5 OLED ($1300) vs 65" TCL C8L/QM8L ($1450 + free speaker) yeah i don't doubt that at all especially as the C7 is about 7-8 years old and is about 200-300 NITS less than the C5. Neither will work well in brightly lit rooms with direct sunlight which is where the QM8k and other high NITs tvs really shine. Heck even my older 6 series TCL was better than the C7 in direct sunlight. The C7 absolutely rocked though when watching movies at night, which is probably why I'll move that into the bedroom when it comes time to replace it in the LV, assuming that its still working. Now if we are talking LG G6, then thats a whole different league. Thats about as bright an OLED as you can get but at a pretty premium of $3k USD. I can't sink that much $ into a TV.

r/LGOLED · Torn between 65" G5 and 55" G6 I just upgraded from my 2018 (approximately) LG 55" set and got the LG G6 I moved from a 55" set to a 65" set as that is the size of my new G6 However I am 10 feet away as I measured it and 10 feet is the recommended size for that distance - or at least that is the largest recommended size. I was fine with the 55" set at 10 feet. I love the G6 in terms of the quality of the picture as compared to my 2018 LG which I thought was pretty great. I am still using the 2018 set as I moved it to a secondary viewing spot to replace an older set which had stopped working. I really notice the difference in terms of viewing dimly lit scenes as with my 2018 LG I often couldn't actually see the actors despite my adjusting brightness levels. With my new G6 even the dark scenes are clear - they are dark but the actors are visible - just obvious that the scene is deliberately being lit to be dark. At 2 meters you don't really need a 65" set although there are a lot of people who say bigger is better but with such a short distance I would opt for the 55" G6 I am not a technical person but this is just based on my experience as a viewer

r/LGOLED · Lg C6 77" LG released two models for the C-Series in 2026 which are dependant on screen size. The larger 77" and 83" TV's (named C6H in most countries) have the upgraded Tandem OLED panels which are included with G5, and G6 models. In terms of overall performance these sit very slighty behind the equivalent G5, but are a noticeable improvement in brightness and color reproduction over C5 and C6 (non H models).

r/LGOLED · LG G6/C6 vs Samsung S95H I own a 55" S95F I use as a PC monitor and a 77" G6 I just got for an amazing price. They're both very good. Extremely bright and punchy. No visible banding. It doesn't get mentioned enough but the anti reflective properties make a huge difference. My office with my PC is pretty bright but no direct light sources on the TV. I love the matte coating there. It barely impacts black levels but it absolutely eliminates annoying reflections vs my old 48" CX OLED. I don't watch movies on my PC so the lack of DV didn't matter to me. The G6 is in the basement with a lot less ambient light. But still a huge improvement on reflections vs my old 2016 B6 OLED. Banding issues are gone, dirty screen effect is gone. Macro blocking gone. Movies look fantastic whether they're Dolby Vision or HDR. To be honest, the peak brightness the movie was calibrated for and the bitrate of the content have way more impact. Dolby vision is just more ubiquitous than HDR10+. I'm happy with my choices and wouldn't change anything.

Is s95f brighter in gaming (highlights, color volume etc?) Have you tried plugging your pc to g6 and used it at 165hz? I read it has washed out colors at 165hz. Does the Samsung have that behavior too? I appreciate it in advance 🙏🏼

r/LGOLED · LG G6/C6 vs Samsung S95H If you set your colorspace on the Samsung S95H to "auto" instead of "Normal" or "Native" you will be way more close to the directors intent. If you want to get even closer, put it in filmmaker mode. With professional calibration, both the LG G6 and Samsung S95H can have accurate colors. Where you will see the Samsung shine is color luminance (how bright colors can get besides white) with Samsungs QD-OLED panel vs the older WOLED style. Also, in a pitch black room you can't see the matte finish on the Samsung without being uncomfortably close, I'd say 2ft or less. If you are going bigger than 77" though, I'd go LG G6 since the QD-OLED panel is only available in the 55" to 77" models on the Samsung.

Sounds like for you, the G6 wins. G5 is a lot cheaper though and not much of a downgrade. C5 is also fantastic value if you don’t need the extra brightness and glare resistance.

Hgig can't be used with game genre original, which is why i'll probably get tge z95b or wait for the g6 to iron out it's shortcomings. Everything in standard mode behaves completely differently compared to original. It's not factory calibrated, which is why it has a huge red push in bt.2020. With other brands, you don't even need to worry about such a thing as color space. Samsungs software is just dogwater, despite the amazing tech.

The picture quality is impeccable, and the TV itself is flawless. By the way, since I’ve had the TV, I’ve received about four updates, which I assume were made to address any lingering issues.

r/bravia · Any owners of the Sony Bravia 7 II can tell me how good is the TV for gaming? I had a Samsung S95F which I don't like how it handles SDR and how aggressive the ABL is on the unit. When it gets hot in SDR it's like 200nits in Full Screen. I also am tired of its bugs - for example it has a brightness bug that hasn't been patched yet since release that dims your screen at startup and you need to fiddle with the settings to regain Brightness. I would buy a LG G6 for its Tandem technology but I already have a G4 in my room so if I would use the remote I would accidentally turn them On / Off etc. Also the G6 doesn't have a stand so I also would need to buy that separately. I would consider Panasonic Z95B but the unit is not available anymore here and the Sony 8 II has the same panel as the S95F.

Yea but I already have a LG in my room and when would turn on or change the settings on one of my TVs I risk turning on the other one since the remote controls are universal. r/LGOLED · LG C6 77" (OLED77C6) — severe panel uniformity/DSE on brand new unit, normal or faulty? Meaning you can just search a brown screen on YouTube or any shades of solid colors but you see it more on different shades of brown. People are saying its only an issue with the 77 inch versions with both C6H and G6 so theres something going wrong with production of that screen size. I think the 83 inch size is fine. I think most reviewers who post on youtube are either not noticing this issue or are receiving good panels because only a few real customers are noticing this issue. Also you see it much less on HDR videos so SDR is the major issue.

r/LGOLED · LG G6/C6 vs Samsung S95H If you're primarily concerned about watching Movies/TV content and the creator's intent, then the G6 is the preferred choice by most due to Dolby Vision being heavily supported by many creators over HDR 10+(especially if you watch 4K Blurays). Any professional calibrator will likely mention going for the G6 for movie accuracy. For gaming, on the other hand, the S95H has the edge. In the end, they're both amazing TVs, and it comes down to a few preferences. If you're going for the 77" or 83" C6H, you might be satisfied with these due to having the same Tandem Oled display as the G6 models at a lower cost. Only slightly less bright, less anti-reflective, and no heatsink on the C6H.

r/LGOLED · Upgraded from a LG C1 48” to LG G4 65” I mean, you might be right, but I’ve always been fine with the C series. I just got a good deal and wanted to share it, nothing more. Sure, if money wasn’t a factor I’d go for the G series, like the G6 just because it’s the best of the best. But at the end of the day, everything costs money, and I don’t really want to pay 2–3× more for what feels like relatively small upgrades.

r/tcltvs · TCL C8K (CM8K) at 900€ or LG C5 (or Samsung S90F) at 1400€ ? I have LG C2 55, LG39GS95QE-B oled monitor, Corsair 34wqdhd Qd-oled monitor, two OLED laptops. I actually wanted to go for S90F 65 at 2000CAD, but went with qm8k 65 at 1399 for my living room. Yes OLED is amazing but only if the room has controlled lighting. I'm extremely satisfied with TCL, I don't have to close blinds or turn off lights. You'll notice the pop no matter. I am not picky about color tones, tone mapping, pq eotf.. my Qd-oled monitor looks way better in this scenario. If you pick one you get one and loose one. I figured brightness is key for living room. May be latest lg G6 or last year G5 would work for you but didn't in my living room tried G5. Also they cost double if not more than qm8k which I thought wasn't a good buy for me.
