r/BuyItForLife · What's the best air purifier for home right now that you swear by and recommend? We just got the 400s for the living room and the 200 for our bedroom. Our state energy trust of oregon had a rebate on them so we got about $150 off the total price tag. So far im liking them. The 400s is nice with the auto setting. I leave it on 24/7 it will crank up on its own when im cooking or it senses anything else in the air.

They all connect to the VeSync app. I did have one break during a thunderstorm but it only broke the WiFi chip. It still works, bout won’t connect to the app. I just change the air filter when the others need it.

The computer fan corsi-rosenthal boxes come in kits that arw a rectangle- more easily placed- and run quieter with equal to better air exchanges per hour, depnding on how many fans. I'm running a six fan one now and it's fantastic. I have levoit 400s and its great and a couple conways with the uvc light that are good too, but in terms of air purification **and** quiet, CR box is with computer fans. And the filters there are atandard furnace filters you can buy in bulk which is nice

(They both have a 2 year warranty for example, which is good as most random units only come with 1.) So if you can get the Phillipps for cheaper, and the aesthetics are equal to you, then go with that. Both are good.
r/AirPurifiers · Seeking advice on placement of Levoit Vital 200S-P placement in open-concept apartment living area Maybe there is less air flow in that area ? So try switch the levoit with a mila that you feel catches a lot, and see if difference. Also take Molas are way more expensive + powerful units, so it would be expected that a 400 dollar 447 CFM pulls in more than a 250 180 dollar unit, yes ? Even the mila mini is stronger + 100 dollars more expensive at 290 CFM/280 dollars. Blue Airs use ionization so that might help a smaller blue air trap visible hairs. But Levoits are great units, and perform excellently in recent testing. In terms of hairs idk, maybe there is something to that. But purifiers aren't really mens to be capturing hairs anyway so a much...as it's all the small things you can't even see. And Levoits perform very well there. But like I said, perhaps you have less airflow in that corner of your living room or something ? You'd prob want a stronger mila in that larger space anyway imo. Lastly, I think the circular Levoits are stronger pound for pound, thus the Core 300 outperforming the Levoit Vital 100 in recent testing despite costing 30 bucks less. And outperforming lots of units similarly sized. The Vital line does have the larger filter which is astrong point, but I don't think rectangle leads to better performance per se. (Again the Levoit 300 outperformed some pricier units on smoke too, maybe something to do with the circular design ? Idk) For Levoits there is a Core 400 + Core 600 that are stronger than the Vital 200. Those are great units too though, with maybe the slightly bigger filters. Anyway, I suggest moving some units around and see how it goes....great job on your overall coverage too.

You own a house with multiple rooms so space is significantly more plentiful while OP has to stuff everything in a 12x12 room. I myself own an Austin Air Healthmate Plus, Dyson TP06, both a Levoit 400s and 300s and a custom AC Infinity Filter Box setup - they all fit their special purpose at my place and could never be replaced by a single averaged sized box filter to do their respective jobs.

I think that was the case for the 400s. So not sure with these models. Check if you have some labels with the power consumption. This may indicate if they are different.

r/BuyItForLife · best air purifier for apartment, bad allergies honestly just searched this exact thing last night and ended up here. went through the same thing last year - allergist told me the same and i ended up getting the levoit core 300 after going back and forth forever. under your budget, runs quiet enough that i forget its on, and my cat dander situation got noticeably better within like the first week or two. the filters are reasonably priced to replace which matters more than people think when theyre comparing upfront costs. only thing id say is if your apartment is bigger than like 200 sq ft youll want the 400s version instead, the 300 is better for a bedroom situation. been running mine for about 8 months now and no regrets. whats the square footage youre trying to cover? that changes the answer a lot tbh

r/AirPurifiers · Should I not get a Levoit? Levoit Vital 200s gets great reviews. I read a ton of this stuff and I don't see people reporting those units malfunctioning. Over the years, yes, I've seen reports of issues with a whining noise on some units (the 300 and 400) but that was years ago and Levoit addressed it and also offered replacements. They also have good service. I have a Core 300 that is still going from 2020. A Core 300s. And most recently a Vital 100s and Vital 200s. If sized right, these latter two are what you should look at - not the Core units. Those were good in their day, but the Vital units are superior. As for the Hepa question, yes the Vital units are, on sleep mode, and the "scandal" about all of that was drummed up by a competitor - who makes inferior units.

After various research I was undecided between two purifiers, Levoit 400s and the new Philips AC3210/12 from the Philips PureProtect 3200 Series. Comparing, I see that the Philips has a better quality and the price difference is small. I'll wait for Black Friday and take that. I recommend you take a look at the new Philips even if you find few reviews since it only came out two months ago.

Winix Large spaces? Coway, Levoit and Blueair. For your use case I'd go with either levoit or coway. Either of them will work just get one based on your area. From levoit, 200s for smaller spaces, 400s for a bit larger. Airmega mighty 2 from coway is the best bang for buck but lacks smart features. Once again get one based on your area, if you get a smaller one it will do less ACH (air changes per hour).
