r/Moccamaster · Is upgrading to a Moccamaster actually worth it if I’m fine with my cheap drip machine? Water temp is going to be the biggest difference. The Aromaboy doesn't heat the water hot enough for full extraction. That said, the Moccamaster isn't magic. It only provides the correct brew temp at the correct flow rate. If you want an excellent cup of coffee you will also need quality fresh roasted beans and a grinder that grinds evenly which is expensive unless you get a manual grinder. Or a local roaster that grinds the coffee for you. Any SCA or ECB certified coffee maker will give the same extraction quality. The Moccamaster has the added benefit that it will last for decades with daily use. They're super reliable. Only you can decide if it's worth it. There are millions of people in the States that happily drink Folgers from a Mr. Coffee. (I'm kind of envious of them because I'm no longer able to be happy with that now that I know what good coffee tastes like.)

r/BuyItForLife · Best coffee maker? Is there anything new in 2025? I have a collection of Melittas in different sizes before the switch to aeropress. I use a glass Hario now, only because I wanted glass and was curious about the V60 hype. I can't say I have a strong preference between the taste and function of Hario over Melittas.

r/BuyItForLife · Best coffee maker? Is there anything new in 2025? Hario is what all the northwest coffee shops switched to after Starbucks bought Clover machines. It was a way to make a more personalized cup of coffee for each person, and to rebel against big coffee. Once people realized it was like $5-10 for the funnel and they could make the same coffee they loved from their favorite store, it started taking off. After looking at it, I like that Melitta funnel/carafe combo. I've been hesitant about getting the Hario because it only does a cup or two at a time. I'm the only coffee drinker in my house, but when my family is over, ho boy do we get caffeinated. That might be just the ticket for us!

r/Coffee · Anyone tried the Melitta AromaSignature DeLuxe or AromaElegance (Therm) DeLuxe? I bought the Melitta Aroma Signature Deluxe and a hue smart plug. It doesn't seem to work - you have to push the button once the machine has power. What a pity. Anyone knows a workaround?

r/Coffee · Anyone tried the Melitta AromaSignature DeLuxe or AromaElegance (Therm) DeLuxe? I know it’s an old post but mine did the same. I called Melitta service and they told me they’ve never heard of it bending like that. I found it hard to believe. Anyway, the shower/ arm was very annoying and I had the stir the coffee a little bit, but the machine made a nice coffee in general. Had it for three years until so switched for something else and it worked perfectly fine and still looked like new.

Le retour Reddit disponible est favorable. Un appareil a fonctionné parfaitement pendant trois ans et conservait un aspect presque neuf.
I’d say it’s fine. Nothing amazing. Biggest issue is that it doesn’t get the coffee hot enough. Adding even a small amount of milk or cream brings the coffee down nearly to room temp. To be fair though I always compare auto drip coffee makers to a cheapo Melitta that I got in the 90s from a thrift store for something like $5. No other auto drip I’ve used could get coffee as hot as that thing did without burning it. It was magical.
