Dreame L40 Ultra

Dreame L40 Ultra, packshot

r/RobotVacuums · Best vacuum + mop combo for mixed floors, allergies/asthma, and cat hair? (early fall Prime Day deals planning)

I wouldn’t recommend robot vacuums if you are solely concerned with allergy and asthma care as most robot vacuums are not fully sealed (the Dyson VisNav 360 has been verified by a third party lab to be fully sealed meeting HEPA standards but it’s not really a great robot). I’d get an air purifier and get the robot vacuum to clean up fur and litter. I’d definitely go for the L40 ultra at this price since it’ll have the most cost effective obstacle avoidance and should automatically increase suction and slows down when it sees litter. Just note it’ll have to autoempty more frequently since the dustbin isn’t very well suited for lots of fur. As for care, you’d need to tap the dust out of the filter once every few cleaning runs, clean the dirty water tank, refill and empty the clean and dirty water tanks. You can add robot safe cleaning solution to the clean water tank so it mops with detergent.

    r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review

If your dog doesn’t shed that much like my long haired corgi (who may also secretly be an alien/shetland sheepdog), I don’t think so. I really do like the mop washboard on this one compared to the l40 ultra but cleaning it really depends on personal preference and I’m not really a fan of having to stay down to clean under the drain.

r/RobotVacuums · Mova P10 Pro Ultra vs Dreame L40 Ultra

Last time I checked, the L40 Ultra is sold at $440 with a tricut brush at physical dreame stores that will ship in the US mainland for free. This also means you have a store you can call for service. >\[A\]m I better off paying the extra $50 to get the larger Brand with a better product reputation (I know they have poor customer service) It seems they're improving it in the US. I've noticed people praising MOVA's customer service for its quick replies, and one user praised how fast it was sending out a return label when their P10 Pro Ultra had a fault. I think Dreame and MOVA share the same customer service teams.

r/RobotVacuums · Roborock Qrevo S Pro vs DREAME L40 Ultra Gen 2 vs Ecovacs T90

It really comes down to what you want it doing day to day O(∩\_∩)O\~ Once you figure out what you want, the pick makes itself clear\~\~\~ The T90 is a great budget buy if you want a roller-mop robovac without paying flagship money for one. The catch is ECOVACS’ app, which still lags Dreame’s and Roborock’s for UI and for actually working with the map. It’s got an RGB camera for obstacle avoidance and vision for spotting messes, but it’s noticeably weaker at both than brands running a proper aRGB camera. Worth knowing before you buy rather than after. The QRevo lineup gets confusing fast, so Jamie Andrews’ rundown is the quickest way to get your head around it: https://youtu.be/8itr7c3T\_4g For the OG L40 Ultra, it’s a solid vacuuming-focused robot, and the one I’d point most people at if cleaning pickup is the priority. Jamie Andrews did a proper thorough review that’ll tell you most of what you need: https://youtu.be/QjUASR3DdIE If you’re eyeing the L40 Ultra Gen 2, go in with your eyes open, because a fair bit of what made the OG good is gone. You lose the RGB camera (so obstacle avoidance and the computer vision that spots messes), and you lose hot-water mop washing, which you’ll miss if you’re cleaning greasier floors. Jamie Andrews compares both L40 Ultra models here: https://youtu.be/zkMZy6S1bNQ — and his full Gen 2 review is here: https://youtu.be/ilsWy3uhlwc If you still can’t choose: “I want better mopping as I have all hard floors and no pets” The T90 Pro Omni is your pick for a mopping-first robot. As long as middling computer vision and the odd mapping hiccup won’t bother you, it’ll do the job nicely. Just tidy your cables up first\~ “I have a pet or a lot of cables on the floor so obstacle avoidance is important” Go L40 Ultra. It’s got the best RGB-camera computer vision of everything you’ve listed, so it’ll actually dodge the stuff on your floor\~ A trade-off is the mopping isn’t as strong since it’s a vacuum-first machine, and the dustbin can clog with fur if you don’t run it often enough. The L40 Ultra Gen 2 and the QRevo S Pro are chasing the same budget buyer who isn’t fussed about obstacle avoidance, so on paper they do most of the same things. The real difference is the day-to-day quality-of-life stuff\~ \*\^O\^\* If you care about anti-tangle and getting into corners, as close to edges as possible, and under overhangs, take the L40 Ultra Gen 2. It runs the anti-tangle TriCut brush, which works well enough that you’re only pulling hair off the ends (and a brush cover sorts even that). It’ll also take a detergent tank (a separate purchase) for better mop cleaning. The AceClean Dryboard washboard keeps itself pretty clean, but it isn’t removable, so you’ll be reaching down to it. On top of that it extends the mop and swings the extended mop out to clean closer to furniture legs, and extends the side brush so it reaches further under things like your fridge. If none of that interests you, the Roborock QRevo S Pro is still a great call. You get Roborock’s generally better build quality and navigation, and I like that the mop washboard is removable, so the bit of manual upkeep that keeps it cleaning well is just easier to do\~

it sounds meta to clean the cleaning things, but with a robot (and even an upright, in my experience), you do need to occasionally just sit down and do the thing. # ✅ Recommendation Given your **€500–700** budget, **the L40 Ultra AE at €588** is the ideal choice. You get premium suction, full mop-dock, and excellent obstacle navigation—all within budget. r/Dreame_Tech · L40 Ultra poor performance

WOW .... I can certainly understand your sentiment 🤔 But your comparison with your Roomba I7 is in no way comparable in terms of intelligence to the L40. Especially if I read that correctly, you have owned the L40 since Black Friday. I'm also assuming that it's your first dream, at least that's what I hear from your arguments in your post. My conclusion to your post: 1. You buy an L40 and you have no idea how to handle this model to get the perfect performance. 2. You post your negative comments about the device and the poor support, although these days almost all manufacturers rely on an automatically replying bot to save personnel costs 😉 This doesn't just apply to Dreame. I am also of the opinion that in such a short time you cannot have exhausted the very extensive menu of the app and the intelligent functions of the robot for a newcomer to the first Dreame model, but you can judge it negatively more quickly. 3. Let me say upfront...I'm not a top Dream fan and I don't belong to the club and I'm not applying for anything. But I own 3 different Dreame models from old to new and I am very satisfied with all of them. I also deal with a lot of problems from other users and have to realize again and again that the majority of users have no knowledge and are quick to write bad reviews, although only a small thing would have solved the problems. Many users make incorrect settings in the app without knowing it and simply operate the model incorrectly and neglect important maintenance on the model. 4. I would suggest you continue to enjoy your Roomba I7 and return your fantastic L40. This would save you further excitement and dream more bad reviews 👍

    r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review

I’m really interested in this one. I actually have the v50 showing up Monday but I’m already thinking of keeping it boxed and sending it back because I have been using a Dreame l40 ultra that I’ve been pretty impressed with and while I’m sure the v50 is better, will I think it’s $500 better when it’s just me and my dog in a 1 bed apartment with mostly hard floors? Probably not. I also had the e28 myself and share some of your complaints so I sent it back. I know a lot of people are sold on the idea of roller mops over spinning mops but after being able to test both, I definitely agree that a good spinning mop is better than a subpar roller mop. And tbh, unless you have a lot of spills or overly stained floors, you’re really not going to see much of a difference in performance between a roller and spin mop. I’ve had the eufy e28, ecovacs t80 Omni and they both returned the same amount of dirty water as the l40 ultra did.

r/RobotVacuums · Roborock Qrevo S Pro vs DREAME L40 Ultra Gen 2 vs Ecovacs T90

I just set up my T90. So far so good but I know some people complain about long term reliability. But bear in mind, they sell a ton of these and people are much more likely to go online and complain when they have an issue vs praising when they don’t. Thats something that can be said for all robot vacs. None are perfect. That said, I have a 1st Gen l40 ultra and after a year with it, I’m underwhelmed. I strongly regretted not going roller mop, hence why I upgraded. The spin mops just don’t cut it for me. And the vacuuming was ok, but it got worse over a few months. The carpet cleaning was subpar as well. That said, I know the gen2 has improvements and alleged better suction power. Imo try a few and stick with the one you like the best. Amazon is 30 day returns.

r/RobotVacuums · Impressed with Deebot T80 Omni and comparison to Eufy E25

The x40 that I bought was refurbished and had wonky navigation so I sent it back, but bought a new l40 ultra and I really like it. The navigation is pretty good and object avoidance has been pretty solid too. Is it perfect? No. And the T80 is probably still a bit better at mopping. But it was good enough for me to realize that it wasn’t worth paying the extra money for the T80 or e28. So both of them got sent back and I kept the l40 ultra. As for the Mova v50, I have it sitting in its box still in my house as I decided I’m going to send it back for the fact that I don’t feel it’s worth me spending twice the price as the l40 ultra for what is likely marginal performance gains. Don’t get me wrong I am sure it is better, but I’ve come to the conclusion that the robot vac tech is just moving so quickly that spending money on a premium robot whose features will be dated in just a couple years wasn’t a good idea. So I’m happy with the performance of the l40 ultra and will be keeping that one.

There's many posts of people having issues where after a while, the robot will not pick up debris on floors even at max suction. This is because the brush is not contacting the floor due to the brush assembly stuck on the top position.

One thing I found that is not obvious is you can change the frequency it returns to the base to empty the vacuum bin. I originally thought it would just empty itself when full, but by default, it only empties once at the end of the job. I have two dogs and the bin would get full far before the end of the cleaning. I thought the vacuum just wasn't very good on carpet, but it was because it was getting full and not emptying. Under the dock settings you can change it to empty more frequently.

r/RobotVacuums · Mova P10 Pro Ultra vs Dreame L40 Ultra

Hi, we've just tested the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra. Early access test results will be available shortly, with the full review sometime after that, but I can give you a sneak peek: debris pickup performance is similar - a little better on bare floors since the P10 has higher suction but worse on carpets because the P10 doesn't use its side brush on carpets. However, one thing that really surprised us was the obstacle avoidance on the P10. It's nearly perfect and is the best robot vacuum we've tested so far. We're going to go back to the L40 Ultra and apply all firmware updates and see if its performance has improved, because it tested worse than the P10. It has the same sensors though, so we're intrigued. Anyway, keep an eye on the MOVA P10 Ultra, especially if you have mostly hard floors and lots of obstacles. You'll also note the pricing is great for what you get.

I used the Roomba i9 and the braava mob for years. Had a lot of problems with both, the vacuum was decent but not worth it's price, the braava was straight up bad. I swapped to the L40 3 weeks ago, and in my experience, it's way better. It cleans twice as fast and does a better job at both vacuuming and mopping.

r/RobotVacuums · Confusion reviews - Dreams L40s AE vs Roborock Qrevo S5V - WHICH ONE?

Short version for the UK: **you want the L40 Ultra AE**. There isn’t a separate “L40s AE” sold here. The AE already includes the camera-based obstacle avoidance, \~19,000Pa suction, and hot-water mop washing. The “S” naming mostly shows up in other regions and is where a lot of the confusion comes from. Versus the Qrevo S5V, the trade-off is pretty simple: * **Dreame L40 AE** = stronger raw cleaning (suction + hot mop wash), better at heavy dirt and mixed floors. * **Roborock S5V** = slightly smoother app and routing logic, but weaker mop system and no camera. If you care more about cleaning results, the Dreame is the better pick. If you care more about app polish and don’t mind lighter mopping, the Roborock is fine. Given they’re the same price right now, most people end up keeping the L40 AE once they realize it already has the “S” features in the UK.

r/Dreame_Tech · Side brush error on 6 month old L40 Ultra AE

At only six months old, I'd stop troubleshooting and open a warranty claim. You've already done the key checks: removed the brush, cleaned it, rebooted the robot, and verified that the motor struggles even without significant obstruction. If the brush does not spin freely by hand and requires assistance to start, there is a good chance the motor assembly or gear train is failing. Include the videos and mention that the brush only rotates after manual assistance and immediately stalls under load. That should help support distinguish a hardware fault from a normal "wrapped brush" condition.

    r/Dreame_Tech · Questions about L40 Ultra Gen 2

The Gen 2 is basically a light refresh of the L40, not a big upgrade. The higher suction rating won’t tank your battery in real use since the robot rarely runs at max for long. Runtime should feel pretty much the same. People saying the OA is “weaker” are right in the sense that the Gen 2 only uses structured light on the front, while the original L40 has both structured light and an RGB camera. Dreame doesn’t advertise the difference clearly, but you can see it by looking at the sensor window. The dock updates on the Gen 2 are nice, but not really a night-and-day improvement. Same idea, slightly tweaked hardware. At the same price, the L40S gives you similar cleaning but better obstacle avoidance than the Gen 2. Some of the older bad reviews were from early firmware. Exchanging an unopened box with Dreame is *usually* doable, but it can take a little patience. If it were me, I’d stick with the L40 you already ordered unless there’s a very specific Gen 2 feature you care about. It’s still the more balanced package.

r/Dreame_Tech · Should I buy the Dreams ultra AE?

The L40 AE is still a solid buy — most of the scary Reddit posts are just the usual handful of people troubleshooting edge-case layouts. It works well on normal floors and carpets. The **L40S Pro Ultra** is basically the same robot with slightly better obstacle handling and newer software features. Cleaning performance is the same. If the price jump is small, the S Pro is the nicer pick, but the AE is already a strong, reliable option. Night cleaning is fine. Dreame uses lidar for navigation, so it doesn’t need light the way camera-only robots do. If your floors aren’t weird (black rugs, mirrors, glass edges), either model will behave normally out of the box.

r/Dreame_Tech · Should I buy the Dreams ultra AE?

**If you want a robot that works well out of the box with carpets, the L40 AE is genuinely solid.** Great suction, smart routing, good carpet lift, and fewer quirks than the L10 generation. Most owners never have issues beyond the usual mapping hiccups. **Where most negative posts come from:** • People with mirrors, black carpets, or cluttered layouts • Early units with dock sensors that needed recalibration • Mapping confusion from running the first clean before the map finishes • Folks expecting it to be “fully hands-off” on day one The carpet performance is actually one of the strong points — the mop lift is high enough that normal pile carpets stay dry, and suction is way stronger than older Dreame models. If your layout is pretty normal (laminate, tile, regular carpets, no funhouse mirrors), the L40 AE is a very safe buy. If you’re hyper-sensitive to little quirks or want zero setup fuss, then yeah, any robot might annoy you.

r/Dreame_Tech · My Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Track Nightmare

If you haven’t tried it yet, a full fresh map (after a power-off reset for both robot + dock) usually gives a big improvement. The drops of water are normal until the tank valve breaks in, but the navigation issues definitely aren’t. This is the kind of thing Dreame normally fixes with OTA updates once they gather enough logs. If the new map doesn’t settle down after a couple runs, you’re not crazy — the L10s and L40 both run tighter and more confidently right now. I’d keep pushing support with screenshots like the one you posted so they can flag it to the dev team.

    r/Dreame_Tech · Stuck between Dreame L50, X50, L40 and X40 (high thresholds)

“Gentle edge” just means the mat shouldn’t have a sharp vertical lip. Anything with a soft slope or rounded front lets the robot treat it like a tiny ramp instead of a wall. Even a cheap IKEA doormat works if the front edge isn’t stiff. On L40 vs X40: • **L40 Ultra** is the better overall pick right now. Newer platform, quieter, better pad attachment, fewer quirks. • **X40 Ultra** mainly adds detergent-in-tank mopping and the retractable LiDAR. Both are nice, but not must-haves in a small, hard-floor apartment with no low furniture. If the price difference is only \~$50 and you want the extra polish/features, grab the X40. If you just want the best value for simple floors, stick with the L40 — it’ll clean just as well. Either one will work perfectly with a mat/ramp setup.

r/Dreame_Tech · Got the L40 blindly. please advise

Totally get the impulse buy panic — but honestly, you did great. The L40 Ultra is a beast: crazy strong suction, self-cleaning mop, auto-empty/refill, and great on hard floors. For $499? That’s a steal. Way ahead of something like the Eufy e25. You’ll be glad you kept it once it’s up and running — especially with a baby on the move soon. Let us know how it goes!

I loved my L40 Ultra until it wouldn't recharge and started acting crazy. Sent it in on the warranty I bought with Amazon, and they refunded me the same day they got it! Ordered a new Dreame via the Reddit special, the X60 Max Ultra complete. Will see how that is vs the L40 Ultra. Enjoy yours - it's a good machine! I didn't clean mine as often as I should have, as folks on here recommend more frequently helps avoid problems.

r/homeassistant · What’s the best robot vacuum for pet hair that actually works??

Dreame L40 Ultra AE has been awesome with the tricut brush. Hair is absolutely no longer an issue. The mapping function to figure out where to mop versus where to vacuum versus where to do both was a little confusing to me. It's an awesome set it and forget at this point. It looks like I'll go around 2 months between bag swaps and I dump the dirty water about once a week because I don't have a lot of floor that gets mopped.

r/RobotVacuums · Confusion reviews - Dreams L40s AE vs Roborock Qrevo S5V - WHICH ONE?

Hi, There is. YouTube video that explain all 3 model. The AE is the best value in my opinion, if you can get the l40s pro that’s a better machine but it’s £100. For 3 main difference. 1 different vacuum with twin blade compare with single tri cut for long hair. 2 extended arms for corners swiping 3 mop pads can be left on station for Vac only. For me the only thing that would be useful is 2 and 3. But 2 I don’t think that extra corner clean is critical for me and one less thing to go wrong. And I have mixed floors on multi floor so having it on all the time doesn’t bother me. In the UK the AE is £440 and the s Pro is £550.

I’ve had it for a month now at €479, and I’m genuinely very pleased with it for the price. It’s not top-tier, but it really does feel like the best value for money. The main selling point for us was its low height. It easily fits under our bed. At first it was a bit clumsy, but it clearly learns as it goes. You can genuinely notice the improvement over time. And having a clean kitchen floor every single day is something we absolutely love.

If you don’t want to end up with a bad one, you really need to buy the most intelligent one. I read that somewhere on Reddit, and it makes much more sense now that I own one myself. Thanks to the AI and camera system, it doesn’t get stuck. In the end, intelligence matters more than pure cleaning performance.

    r/RobotVacuums · Best Robot Vacuum/Mop for under $500 Comparison

I have the L40 ultra, and I upgraded to a 3rd party tri-cut brush. In a week's worth of daily cleaning, I have no tangled hair on the brush. (2 humans, 2 cats). Compared to the neatos, or any other vacuum we've ever had, that is amazing.

    Cheveux longs
    r/RobotVacuums · Best Robot Vacuum/Mop for under $500 Comparison

The L40 ultra only has 1 brush. The one it ships with has a rubber-looking brush, which is not very good (reportedly) with hair, and the hair gets tangled around it. Dreame sells a factory "tri-cut" brush that has little knives that cut the hairs, and keeps the hair from collecting on the brush. It will collect on the far ends of the brush, but if you do the weekly maintenance, it's really easy to pull the brush out and clean off the few strands of hair there. I was constantly cleaning hair my neato brushes, but it was a 10 year+ old design, without any thought given to mitigating hair tangling. Anyway, Dreame's brush is $50-$60 in the U.S., and you can find knock offs on amazon for about $20 that are positively reviewed. Just do a search on L40 tri cut brush, and you should see a bunch. Since the brush is a consumable item, with that sort of price difference, I tried the cheap ones, and so far they are working great, and I can't imagine the factory one somehow doing "better". I never tried the standard brush, as one of the reasons I have these vacuums is hair control. I hope that helps answer your question.

I've had that Dreame models for a month now. It's been great so far. I didn't clean its tray so it got clogged and after I cleaned it it got sort of confused, it stuck its mop pad out all the time, so it couldn't dock properly which led to it spilling water trying to wash the mop pads. However a reset fixed this issue and now it works like a charm again.

r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester.

So the Curv S5X is the same robot as the original Curv, but they removed the camera for obstacle avoidance and the lifting wheel for threshold crossing, so pickup and mopping performance should be the same. The S5V further removes the extending side brush and lowers the suction. Since they have the same brush roller, their pickup performance should be within ballpark of each other. The higher suction of the Curv might make it a little better at pickup of finer debris, but not by much. The extending side brush of the Curv will help with corner cleaning. Hot water cleaning can be helpful for killing bacteria from the mop pads and avoid them smelling bad. Hot air drying just speeds up the drying process. It can probably also help remove some grease from the mop pads, but you'd probably need to wash them manually if they encounter a lot of grease. As for the L40s Ultra AE, I haven't tested it, but it has the tri-cut brush which did well when we tested the MOVA P50 pro, a similar robot. The P50 Pro scored the same as the Qrevo Curv, but the L40s Ultra AE lacks the extending side brush, so I'd expect it would be worse on corners. The P50 pro ultra and the original L40 ultra were both worse for mopping, though, so I'd anticipate the same for the L40s Ultra AE. This is all speculation based on previous experience, so take it with a grain of salt. The main advantage of the L40s Ultra is that it seems to have a decent obstacle avoidance system, which the Qrevos do not have. Hope this helps clear a few things up for you. I'd say if you already have the S5V and are happy with it, you won't get that much more with the Curv unless you want corner coverage or notice your mops are smelling bad. If you want obstacle avoidance, go with the Dreame.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester

Which robot did you end up getting? I'm glad you pulled the trigger, really most of them will get the job done, and be better than not having one. (With some exceptions' haha) The reason I put the "avoid" section was mostly about value for performance of the product, and not necessarily with the intent of "it's the worst product ever, and you'll regret buying it". Also because there are so many options, I figured it could help narrow them down a bit. Many people on here are happy with the L40 Ultra, and I'm glad they enjoy it. I try not to be bias and give every robot a fair shot at testing (I say try, because claiming that I'm fully unbiased feels like that's not possible). The X50 was one of the most confusing/disappointing for me when testing it. I retested it multiple times and tried different configurations to give it the best shot possible, but it still didn't do well And definitely right about the different opinions, I frequently check other review sites and this Subreddit to see how they experienced their robots. We all have different methodologies, and having more information is better than having less, even if it's overwhelming. I'm excited for the market to settle down a bit, and have a more palatable launch pattern.

I know, which is why we were confused as to why it did [worse](https://i.rtings.com/assets/products/SFN7ybJn/dreame-l40-ultra/hardfloor-large.jpg?format=autothan) than the [P10 pro](https://i.rtings.com/assets/products/CyGfaBvz/mova-p10-pro-ultra/hardfloor-large.jpg?format=auto) in hard floor pickup. We even tested the [L40 at max suction](https://www.rtings.com/assets/pages/cjkahFXE/l40-ultra-high-suction-attempt-large.jpg?format=auto), but it still seemed to do poorly. The obstacle avoidance was also worse than the P10 Pro, and we assumed this was maybe due to software improvements MOVA may have made to it. It's possible we have a defective unit, and we do have a policy that [allows manufacturers ](https://www.rtings.com/company/out-of-spec-policy)to contact us to test a second unit.

    r/RobotVacuums · Dreame L40 Ultra - quick review

I am also blown away. I have a 10-year-old Eufy vac that ran off the random pattern, and had *some sort* of proximity sensor in as much as it would slow down slightly before running headfirst into solid objects (like walls, furniture, sometimes my feet). In practice, 100% of the time, it would get stuck somewhere, on something. I could never keep the room so perfectly organized that it wouldn't find something to get hung up on, no matter how hard I tried. Plus, I had to manually empty the tiny bin, and constantly clean/fix the brushes. I quit trying to use it (despite multiple attempts in different rooms, different houses, even a workspace). I gave up on robovacs. A friend of mine has one and I noticed it when he moved, and he said they love it. That got me wondering if much had changed.... I found the L40 Ultra. My two top priorities were rock solid object avoidance and auto emptying trash. I figured mopping would be a gimmick, and if it could do those two requests well, I'd be happy. I am absolutely blown away. I paid $539 for it (apparently missed the Prime sale) but I couldn't be happier in the first two days. If this thing lasts like the reviews say, I'll be beyond thrilled. With 4 (large) rescue dogs and an indoor/outdoor cat, who all use a dog door to come as they please, in a rural setting with chickens and mud, and not being one who removes shoes (because I'm in and out all day) and no AC (so all windows / doors are usually open), keeping the house clean has been a neverending battle. We can vacuum in the morning, and by the evening it looks rough again. Enter "Snail," our new L40 Ultra. The LiDAR mapping is great, the cameras and lights help it to never hit anything. I have the pet setting on, and it sees knots in our hardwood floor and avoids them thinking they're feces! (Depending on lighting at the time.) The app is a little quirky and I laugh at all the typos and grammatical errors, but it works and has a ton of features. I'm obsessed with the little fella, and keep running it to see what another setting does. Just found the "grimy" map. Lol! And ew. We have large thresholds in some places. So far it has cleared them all at least once (one is over 1 inch) but for the unnecessary ones, I've thrown down the red threshold and blocked it. It zooms the "long way around" like it's on a mission! Battery life is impressive. The house feels so clean now. If it's going to be like this every day, I feel like I just won a lotto or something. Currently running "vac/mop" combo but will try vac-then-mop soon as I see a lot of folks recommend that. The vac bags will add up with all the pet hair, but just bulk ordered on Amazon. Plan to run every other day for whole house, then high touch areas daily to conserve a bit and stretch out the maintenance. The only issue I've had so far is the mop heads falling off (since they're magnetic). I know they can be left behind for vacuuming, but even when just mopping they may hit the same things. A few times was at one threshold, which I've now blocked. Hopefully that solves it. Using the regular brush so far with no issue, but tricut is in the mail. All in all, can't believe we waited this long to try again. Someone else in here said "a generational leap in technology" and that is so true. I'm blown away. And to think, in just a couple years, AI will be more than a gimmick in these too. I hope they add features through the app so we can benefit without upgrading hardware. One final anecdote, the unit tries to avoid the dogs at all cost when it's cleaning. When it's heading back to the base, though, and can't find a clear way through, it comes right up to the dog, gives it a little warning spin, and then gently rams the dog until it moves out of its way. I've caught it doing this on multiple occasions, and just watched it as I'm typing this. It cracks me up! Damn I hope this thing lasts.

Another trick: if using custom you can tell it to clean the mops after every room (instead of as-needed). When it cleans the mops it also empties the trash. I have the trash dump to be set to "high frequency" because of pet fur. Even then, it doesn't seem to come back very often. By forcing it to come back after each room (or, more accurately, after each partition) you can manually control how far it cleans before emptying. Unsure if this works on vac-only, but does on vac/mop.

We live out in the country, where it gets muddy a lot. Hardwood floors with rugs. Shoes in the house. 4 dogs and a cat with a dog door that let themselves in and out all day (including muddy days). Not mopping daily, but definitely daily vacuuming and always feeling behind. 2nd day with the L40 Ultra and I agree, it's amazing. We plan to run it overnight for everywhere not near the bedroom so we wake up to clean floors. Then, late morning it hits the bedroom, hallway, and bathroom (after we've gotten ready in the morning) so it's clean the rest of the day and we have a clean room for going to bed. If this is our life now, it's a level up event. (others probably find it gross how we have been living, lol)

r/RobotVacuums · Ecovacs T50 Max Pro Omni vs Eufy Omni E25

I have to say that Ecovac's customer service was great for my returns, it was just annoying that I had to pack it back up each time (luckily, I noticed the stations weren't receiving power within 20 min of it being delivered), and I've seen a lot of good reviews on the T50 series. I'm 99% sure it was an internal power supply issue, and both units I got were within 15 numbers of each other, so it might have just been a bad batch. I almost upgraded to the T80, since it was cheaper than I had paid for the T50 with Prime Day Sales. I've been on this sub almost non-stop for the past 3 days debating on what to get, and going back and forth between several different ones.... finally just gave up and went with the L40 due to the price and generally high praise on the sub. The Eufy e25 seems to be pretty well liked too. The Eufy and Dreame subreddits might have more information for you as well, since they'll be more focused on the brands rather than robots in general.

r/RobotVacuums · Ecovacs T50 Max Pro Omni vs Eufy Omni E25

Good luck! I ordered a T50 Pro (not Max) a few weeks ago, not thinking about Prime day coming up 🤦, and the base station was DOA. Talked to customer service, shipped it back and got a replacement... Same issue. Just sent the 2nd one back yesterday and they're going to refund the money. We have a Ecovacs N8+ Pro that we've used for years with very few issues (bought it refurb, and the battery scraped out after a year. Replaced it with a $40 generic batter off Amazon and works great), so I had been hoping to stay with the ecosystem /app for simplicity. But after 2 duds, I ordered the Dreame L40 Ultra earlier today instead at $499 from their website... Less actually, because they have a teacher discount... So like $350 less than I paid for the T50

I ended up panic ordering the L40 Ultra from Dreame's website, which still had it priced at $500. I wish I could spend $1200+ on a vacuum, but as a teacher in a state who doesn’t care about teachers, I can’t make it work. I see you recommend the 3i S10, which is why the P10 caught my eye, but you recommended the Dreame for my price point. I did hear that the Dreame isn’t that great without a TriCut brush, so I would need to snag one of those too. Or is that personsl preference? I don’t know. Trying to keep 25+ teenagers interested in Shakespeare five times a day while slowly trying not to lose my mind is my forte. Tech is not. I have three kids. Mostly LVP and area rugs. We do foster dogs though, so lots of dog hair and badly hidden kibble in hard to reach places. I’m trying to replace our Roomba S9 who is showing her age.

Don’t get an inferior model just because someone pissed you off. I’ve been there. It feels good, but you lose in the long run. Vacuum wars does some pretty good testing. r/RobotVacuums · Bought the Dreame L40 Ultra Gen 2 during Prime Day, first impressions after two runs

Just got one. I really like it. So much of an upgrade from my vacuum only Roomba that was 5 years old. My unit appeared brand new. Looks like there was only 1 cycle ever ran on it before me and it was cancelled almost immediately. Not sure what that means for the unit. All that being said, there is a horrible squeaking coming from the unit. I think it’s from the front wheel. Noticed it squeaking after just one vacuum run. Took apart the wheel. It was basically clean. Waiting on some silicone lubricant to spray in the wheel to see if that helps.

r/Dreame_Tech · Should I buy the Dreams ultra AE?

I’m 80% carpet and have had mine since Black Friday. I really enjoy it. Only issue I was having was needing to re map because mirrors seem to confuse the map layout. I layed vinyl on the bottom of the mirrors and it fixed the issue and then I re mapped. My other issue was skipping black rugs. But placing them more in the path of the robot and re mapping seems to fix that issue. I did get my model refurbished off Temu though. I really enjoy setting the clean schedule right before I get home from work. Then thanking my cats for a clean house lol.

I’m new to robot vac ownership so take my opinion with a grain of salt, I suppose, but I have my L40 Ultra set to vacuum and then mop at 1AM everyday. It cleans all rooms except bedrooms. It hasn’t woken us up yet! In fact, it helps to entertain the cats so they aren’t bored and waking us up wanting to play. 😂

r/Dreame_Tech · Anyone still using the Dreame L10s Ultra?

I just got an L40 Ultra and love it! Consumer Reports ranks it second on their list of models. I ordered on Amazon, shipping delayed after 5 days, then delayed another 5 days. Stalked for a restock and they added 2 from Amazon Warehouse. I ordered one but they cancelled it the next day. Ordered the other but it wouldn’t be delivered for 6 days. Another from Warehouse came available and said next day for delivery. I ordered that one and cancelled the original that was delayed a third time and the Warehouse one that was still a few days from shipping. What a long ordeal (4/30-5/17) but worth it!!! I saved a good chunk on the open box ($557+tax) but it looks brand new (original packaging too).

I am leaning into the fact the warranty will hopefully see me right - bought from curry’s. Was very tempted to get another eufy as my g30 ran for 5 years with no major issues (and is still fine). Eufy support were also really good and the robot was super easy to take apart and change things on if you needed to. That said, the e25 was twice the price of the Dreame L40 AE so thought I’d take a risk.

It’s awful. I would not recommend it. Despite setting it properly, it keeps mopping carpets. Water gets everywhere around the base unit and despite meticulous mapping, I have to spend so much time getting it “unstuck” from places. Obstacle clearance is awful and it does not work on rugs unless obstacle tolerance. I’m returning mine.

r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester.

I am confused b/w Roborock Qrevo S5V (£449), Dreame L40 Ultra AE (£449) and Roborock Curv S5X (£499). We have hard floor in the kitchen/dining and carpet (mostly low pile) in both bedrooms. I liked the S5V carpet performance but it doesn't seem to have hot water mop cleaning. Not sure how important that is honestly. For Curv S5X, there aren't many reviews (waiting for Vaccuum wars test scores). I assume it should be better than S5V as it's a higher end model but Just a dad video didn't instill confidence:( For L40 AE, it seems overall good especially on the navigation side but the carpet performance seems to be lower than S5V. What's important for us: Decent hard floor vacuum/mop, Good Carpet Vaccuum (dust, hair .. no pets but my gf has hair fall issue), navigation isn't that important as we don't have kids/pets. Less hassle over long term. Please suggest before the deal ends🥺

r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester.

Thank you, you are amazing!! I have tried my best to keep this post short... I'm not very good at that, so thanks for your patience 😅 I've heard such mixed things it's impossible to tell. Even among trusted places, one will say "this did a fantastic job with obstacle avoidance" and another will say "obstacle avoidance was terrible". At this point I feel like I’m drowning in research and going in circles. --- Slightly more general questions: - Obstacle avoidance (or navigation--still not 100% sure of the difference) * I live in a very small apartment and may be adopting a cat/kitten soon. A lot of my furniture expands or moves, so room layout isn’t static. How does that affect which features I should prioritize? * I’m realistically a bit messy. I know I'll need to be good about picking up, but will I hear alerts or weird sounds if I miss something and the vacuum gets stuck? - Hair tangles: Why don’t I see long-hair performance data on your site? (Possibly brain fog from research overload.) - Costco model confusion: Costco often sells rebranded or modified models. How do you find compatible consumables and reliable reviews for those versions? --- As far as my specific situation... Space: - 563 sq ft, laminate flooring, may add washable area rugs later - Furniture is moveable/expandable Cleaning Needs: - Likely cat/kitten adoption - Heavy dust buildup and long human hair - Mopping is optional — vacuuming is the priority - Goal: avoid dust bunnies + clumps on the floor; I don't expect perfection, just help keeping up so I'm not walking in nasty Budget: Preferably $500 or less, willing to stretch slightly if it's worth it Other Considerations: - Wi-Fi limitation: * Managed apartment Wi-Fi--can’t tell if 2.4 GHz is available * Any workarounds or brands that handle it better if it's a combined 2.4/5 GHz? * I need to be able to return if Wi-Fi setup fails * I’m tech-capable & willing to troubleshoot myself, but bad at dealing with customer service hassle Models I've been looking at: - Roomba j7+ - had essentially decided until I found out about the recent iRobot situation - Dreame L40 Ultra - anti-tangle and great obstacle avoidance, from what I heard, but customer service concerns worry me * Why do you recommend L10s Ultra/Pro Ultra and not L40? - Narwal Freo X Ultra — love the anti-tangle + Costco availability - SwitchBot K10+ Pro or K11+ - compact size good for small tight spaces - MOVA P10 Pro Ultra - If I remember right, this is essentially the same thing as Dreame L40 Ultra? Not sure. Again, customer service uncertainty - Eufy X10 Pro Omni - at least, I *was* looking at this. At least one place, maybe more, mentioned *good* obstacle avoidance... Any advice would be *much* appreciated! Thanks so much again!

r/RobotVacuums · Mova P50 Pro Ultra vs Dreame L40 Ultra as a first robot? Or cheaper L10s Ultra Gen 2/P50 Ultra?

I have bought 4 Dreame L40 Ultras. 2 for a friend, one for our home (1200 sq ft condo) and one for a parent. I manage all 4 units through the app on my phone. I paid $750 for the first 2 robots and the last ones were only $600 CAD including tax. I love what these robots bring to my life for only $600! For ours robot and my mom's I bought the tricut brush separately on Amazon for $30 each and it works like a charm! For my friend's robots I kept the original rubber brush as they don't have long hair or pets. I read mixed reviews on Mova, even though Dreame and Mova are the same company. If you purchase directly through Amazon you get the added bonus of using Thursday return policy if you're not happy or if your unit is damaged or defective (Chinese brand robot companies are notoriously bad for customer service and reviews). It sounds like you're ready to make a purchase. You can wait for the next sale but once you start using the robot in your house, you will wish you had bought it sooner! Feel free to respond directly to this reply if you have any specific questions.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester

Hi Justin. I really appreciate your input. I just bought a dreame l40 ultra and I mostly like it.. but I have a lot of very low pile runners in my halls and kitchen and it gets very confused by them, basically does circles and donuts instead of a gruff clean. My downstairs is a combo of tile and hard wood and low pile carpets + 2 long haired dogs and children. My main needs are that it just do a good job picking up pet hair off of tile/hardwood & low pile carpets. I appreciate the mopping capabilities, but it’s low on my wish list. My budget is $700 or less. There appears to be a lot of great options out there for prime. I’m looking at the Qrevo Edge S5A, but I’d there something else you’d recommend?

For the L40 ultra, I also had the issue where it had very poor hard floor performance even with the tricut brush. Turned out that the roller wasn’t touching the floor so debris would not be picked up and was defective. I’ve been heavily leaning toward the E25 but it seems that it might still leak even with the new tank. I’ve also heard mixed things from Ecovacs, but the T80 Omni and the x8 are also looking decent. I just don’t know what to get.

are these US prices and If so, the Dreame L20 Ultra  is on sale for 50% off for $449. I got the Dreame L40 Ultra(11,00pa) the older one which has more features that the new L40s and I like it. I was looking at roborock Qrevo series but I do not want to spend $800 since I think for me what I was looking for was an all around with decent suction and 11,000pa is enough for a small apartment. I would not spend that much b/c technology is changing rapidly and the expensive one will be replaced with a better one in a matter of a year or 2.

    r/Dreame_Tech · L40 Ultra poor performance

When I was working with Dreame Support, I provided complete information about my floor material and sent them a link to the video. Their response was to reset to defaults and then replace the vacuum.

    Fiabilité & SAVLavage sols durs
    r/Dreame_Tech · L40 Ultra poor performance

Dreame Support wasted a lot of my time telling me to reboot, reset, etc. Then they ended up replacing the vacuum, which initially worked marginally better than the old one (software versions were the same), but later on reverted back to working the same as the old one. I have a weekday schedule that runs a a cleaning job (sweep then mop) 5 days a week at the same time of the day (in the same space) and on some days it does a horrible job - misses random empty areas of the floor, randomly starts spinning and driving back and forth, etc. And it still does not do a really good job sweeping or mopping - leaves debris in some places (never in the same place though) and does not mop that well either. I also replaced the standard brush with the tri-cut brush (which improved things a bit, but not much). I also kept the Roomba i7 that sweeps the same area. Two vacuums together \_barely\_ do enough to keep the floor clear enough so I can run my hand over it after cleaning and not feel any debris or dirt. There is only ONE thing L40 does really well - it does NOT cause any damage to furniture or walls. I have no experience with Qrevo robots, but in regards to Dreame products I am not happy with it. Looks like a poor design or badly written software. $470 you paid is a good price though - about average for the vacuum mop market. You also need to consider other issues, like longevity, etc. For example, I have a 5-yr old Roomba S9. A 2" rubber strip on the bottom of the cleaning module was poorly designed and has worn off. Without it the cleaning head drags on the floor and scratches it. iRobot does NOT sell the rubber strip separately (looks like an $1 part) and asks you to buy the entire cleaning head module (like $90). As a bonus, they no longer sell the actual module (perpetually out of stock). So I have a 5-yr old $600 vacuum collecting dust.

I got the L40 Ultra back in March. I experienced lots of issues the first couple months (ie. Mop not attaching, no water tank notification). Was really worried for awhile because their customer service rep is incompetent and cannot clearly address he issue. Thankfully, one rep finally got me to connect directly and update my firmware to a beta track. Once my vaccuum is updated from 1659 to 8001, everything is working like it’s supposed to. I run partial cleaning daily and the full vac & mop program weekly. I am so happy that I stuck with the vacuum despite the initial hiccup. The large water tank and mop detach/self cleaning features are the shining features of this robovac.

I also got one for 499 a few weeks ago. I have a mix of carpet, hard floor, and a German shepherd. The original brush flat out wasnt good at getting dog hair off the carpet. I got the tri cut brush and its been amazing. Imo its pretty much a must have. Its a little annoying that I "had to" spend an extra 50 bucks (unless I wanted a knock off version) but whatever. That said. Its been great. The obstacle avoidance has been perfect. Like 10/10. Cords. Socks. Dog toys. Towels. Shoes. Whatever. It has yet to get itself stuck on anything and and seen people on YouTube test it with fake poop and it avoids that too. You wouldnt be able to tell i have a dog looking at my floors right now. I can't think of anything im "missing". It pre heats the mop water. It cleans the mop pads. It dries the mop pads. It empties itself. I can set cleaning routines and have it do whatever cleaning routine at whatever time. I can say "vacuum every other day at X time and mop after vacuuming once a week on the hard floors" or whatever. Its smart enough to charge and continue, if it needs to. The only "mixed reviews" I've seen are maybe somebody got a defective unit or some boomer couldnt figure out the app. I did see it mentioned that the android app has worse reviews than the iPhone app. I havent had any issues with the app. Its possible it recently got patched and addressed some app issues, I dont know. Imo the features compare favorably to other models that are way more expensive. Im sure you could beat it for like, 1200 dollars. Based on my research though I dont think id be getting a whole lot to justify the price difference though. I really dont think you could beat it for 500 or close to it. It has a 3 year warranty. I cant speak to how good their customer service is or isnt. I did find a good deal on some third party dust bags that are like a dollar each. Thats absolutely worth looking into. Says me anyway.

I think it's good for $500 (I bought a refurb a month ago for $450). It's not perfect--sometimes it bumps into or gets caught on things even with obstacle avoidance, but mostly it avoids things. It's slower than my old Roborock, but the upside is I can run it with minimal tidying first. I like that it leaves the mop pads behind to vacuum; however, that also means it can occasionally lose a mop pad if it gets hung up on something while mopping. If you want a $500-ish robot, there will be some compromises. I'm personally will take a few compromises over spending $1k.

We use our L40 Ultra almost every day. We have LVP flooring and two cats, and it's amazing how much filth it picks up. I don't know if it's from the cat litter dust, or if it's just dust from outside, but the used water is always mud brown. We have a cleaning crew every two weeks, and we send it out right after they leave, and it \*STILL\* comes back with filthy water. I have no idea WTF they're mopping with, but damn. We've only had one issue, about two months after we got it, where it locked up, and had to wait for the battery to die. No hard resets, no nothing would bring it back to life. Tech support was & is useless.

Hopefully not a fake site: [https://www.dreametech.com/products/l40ultra-robot-vacuum](https://www.dreametech.com/products/l40ultra-robot-vacuum) It didn't come with the tricut brush, but you could either add it on for the full price of $50 or purchase a different, larger bundle and the tricut brush was included in that.

And if the price in store is lower than online, you really think they will honor it over the phone? Or throw in the tricut brush for free over the phone? I'm gonna call on my lunch break because it never hurts to ask. For the same price I'd probably go Dreame, especially if I can go into the settings and unselect mop head detachment

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy

Could anyone help me please as I find the lineups and naming schemes very confusing. I'm in Canada and I'm currently eyeing a Dreame L40. The Dreame L40 Ultra (no S) is 699$ (down from 999$) and the Dreame L40S ultra CE is 749$ (down from 1299$). I keep finding comparisons between L40S ultra and L40S ultra CE but nothing for the L40 ultra without the S. Could anybody enlighten me on the key differences ? (e.g. navigation, mopping and vacuuming performance) Thanks !

This is an amazing resource, thank you! What do you think of the L40 for pet hair? And for carpet? I’m tempted by that big saving / price point, but I’m in a household with a dog, two cats, and a toddler (although he doesn’t shed hair like the animals!). I bought an Eufy X8 for our hard floors but I need another helperbot for our upstairs and carpets. Appreciate your input!

Hi Amanda. First of all, thanks for you very informative and straight to the point posts. They really helped me not spiral further into the decision chaos i was in. I was convinced to get the Mova P10 Pro Ultra, but now, with the Dreame L40 Ultra at the same price I think I'll get the L40. My main concern now is that I live in Brazil, and I've seen that getting replacement parts for Dreame models isn't that easy in here, but I don't know how much that should weight in my decision. Just for some context, in case you have any suggestions of other models up to $600 and not a cent more, I live in a single floor house, no pets, no carpet, no children, wood/ceramic floor, around 2000 ft² (200m²). Needs a mop and the base washing it with hot water gives some big points

Dreame l40 ultra is $100 less than MOVA p10 pro ultra. Any recommendations for robots around that price range? $500-700?

r/Dreame_Tech · Steer Clear of Dreame Tech - L40 Ultra

glad to hear this, I am dealing with the same exact thing - just received my L40 Ultra today and I am PISSED to find the tricut brush missing. When I go back to the site now it says "purchase separately" ... I am kicking myself for not taking screenshots.

I also purchased L40 ultra from dreame Canada.. and noticed something. From website, tricut brush is one of the selling points of L40 ultra.. support emailed back with screenshot of product packaging list.. and told me that tricut brush is excluded from packaging.. their packaging list only mentions “main brush, pre installed” .. with a photo of rubber brush.. there is nowhere in description mentioning tricut brush is optional or excluded from standard packaging. For me, this is false advertisement basing.. I just emailed back with this false advertisement comment.. I will submit complaint to competition bureau Canada if this is not fixed by dreame.

r/RobotVacuums · I have a eufy x10 pro omni and I absolutely hate it, AMA

The MOVA P10 Pro Ultra and the similar Dreame L40 Ultra are very quiet. I’m really glad I got MOVA because it’s super quiet with it’s 5 suction levels. The first 3 are pretty quiet. My goodness my Roomba J7+ was so dang loud. I thought the eufy x10 pro Omni would be louder and I’ve seen to many mention it having trouble picking up debris on hard floor. I’ve seen mentions of the eufy x10 pro Omni and the eufy s1 pro having issues getting close to the edges of rooms and erratic pathing. That’s better than the Roomba’s that just beat up your baseboards. I really do like eufy I bet their next robots will be great.

r/homeautomation · Can robot vacuum truly deep clean your home?

Just picked up an Dreame L40 Ultra so our aging Roborock S4 Max can move to our basement. The perks being Valetudo support, swinging side brush, swinging mop arm, amongst the normal luxuries of auto water refill and auto empty. We still have cleaning people come for "deep cleans" beyond touching the floor but for two working parents with a puppy and two kids, this thing runs every days with weekly mops and is a MASSIVE improvement over our S4 Max. My wife is a neat freak, so she would clean after the S4 ran out of habit anyway and I've noticed her not doing it now with the L40. It also runs quieter, which is awesome so doing a run at night, plus a run after meals is easy. I am working on looping automations into my presence detection to get it to run every time we are far enough away from the house for it to do a complete cycle. Does it have more suction than our whole house vacuum? No. Is it better at mopping than our cleaning people? Also no. Is it better than my wife with our mini vacuum. Also no. But it running when we aren't around or aware makes up for all of that.

    r/RobotVacuums · Eufy Omni S1 Pro

A few additional points to consider: \- I expect the app and its features to get better over time. That is not a major decision point currently. \- I expect the edge-cleaning problem to reduce as well. The hardware is there. Making it work (vacuuming/mopping closer to the edge) is just a software thing. I am hoping they keep working on it. \- Perhaps they will add a mop-only feature as well so that the robot can deal with big spills. Currently, the vacuuming is always on. I can see the logic behind the always-on-vacuuming (they don't want the mopping action to be damaged by some accidental debris). So, I wouldn't count on a mop-only mode later. \- From scanning the reddit forums, I gathered that Eufy's product support is much better than Dreame's. My other choice was Dreame L40 Ultra. I would have accepted a sub-par mopping performance in lieu of a great vacuuming performance. But Dreame's product support is apparently a nightmare and I do not want to be stuck with a $1000 lemon. \- Narwal Freo Z Ultra is backed by Costco's superior return policy. I would buy any high end product from Costco with peace of mind, in case it does not work.

    r/Dreame_Tech · L40 Ultra poor performance

I agree with this, it looks like it’s scanning those and backing up to go around. They’re made to look for things like dog poop and other obstacles they might be on the floor so it def seems to think it’s in a minefield. The AI features might need adjusting.

According to the video, it is a special tile misidentification problem that causes the robot's cleaning efficiency to be very low. you should provide relevant information and feedback to customer service for processing.

Side brush wasn’t spinning when vacuuming, could be mistaking tile patterns for carpet areas. My unit also aimlessly moved like this when vacuuming before. I realized it was seeing carpet where there were none due to floor board patterns maybe. I solved it by going into carpet settings and select “ignore”, then it travelled normally.

L40 is objectively inferior at vacuuming, even if the lidar navigation and mopping is better. See vacuum wars cleaning tests to see how they compare with pet hair on carpet, for example

    r/Dreame_Tech · L40 Ultra poor performance

My L40 ultra came along with the tricut brush, so I replaced the rubber brush from day one (I am in Europe). Which brush are you using? Not sure if it would make a difference since you don't have a carpet but maybe you could try the tricut brush? The pattern on your tiles is indeed tricky. I still think that such an expensive robot would be able to handle it. Try to play around with the obstacle avoidance settings (turn it off) and see if the robot behaves better. Then you at least know where the problem is. Also deactivate the "take photos of the obstacles" option from the settings. I think it creates delays as the robot tries to get photos every now and then. Remember that depending when you bought it you should be able to return it and get a full refund ( in Europe we have 30 days of return). Also try to use the vacuum power on the max setting. Unfortunately the ultra power suction can only been activated manually which is a pitty, because this is a suction power that Dreame advertises for the robot, while in reality you can only activate it manually. One more thing: Since you use the Vac and then Mop mode, and you have set a scheduling routine, you could try the following Change the scheduling as follows: 1)Vac only (at a certain time) 2)Vac and Mop right after the first Vac is done (you should know approximately how much time it needs to finish the first Vac). This way, you get a second vac while it mops. Hope something of the above will help you.
