    Depuis 10 ans que je l'utilise je ne vois pas où uBlock n'est pas efficace. Tu sais ce n'est pas uniquement un bloqueur de pub, il sert aussi d'anti-tracker ce qui est bien plus intéressant niveau protection de la vie privée qu'un VPN qui "sert à ne pas voir où tu es exactement". Alors déjà je ne comprends pas ce besoin : qui ça peut bien intéresser de savoir où tu es exactement... Sans VPN, avec mon adresse IP publique de la box je suis localisé à Paris qui est à 250km de chez moi. Alors bien sûr quelqu'un qui aurait du temps à perdre pourrait me localiser plus précisément mais je sais que personne n'en a rien à foutre de où j'habite xD Évidemment oui si le besoin c'est de contourner une géorestriction de la connexion, ou d'anonymiser son traffic sur des réseaux qui sont connus pour être surveillés/des passoires de sécurité là ça fait sens. Mais je suis persuadé que 90% des particuliers qui ont des abonnements Nord VPN ou Cyberghost le font juste parce que leurs vendus de Youtuber préférés / leurs potes un peu geek, leur on répété mille fois que si si faut prendre un abo, alors que personne dans l'équation ne comprend ses propres besoins et l'utilité d'un VPN.

    Perso j’ai testé CyberGhost et j’ai trouvé ça assez décevant, pas toujours stable pour le streaming. Par contre, j’ai vraiment bien aimé ExpressVPN. Je l’ai surtout utilisé depuis l’Asie, et ça marchait très bien pour regarder la TV française. Je passais principalement par Canal+ avec, et je n’ai pas eu de coupures, à condition d’avoir une bonne connexion de base. Donc de mon côté : → ExpressVPN + Canal+ = très fiable 👍

    Bonjour, j’ai un VPN CyberGhost sur lequel je regardais Canal + (je suis abonnée) et depuis quelques semaines tous les liens ont sauté. Je leur ai écrit et ils sont en train de chercher une solution, ils vont m’écrire. Mais en attendant je paie 2 abonnement le VPN et Canal + et je ne peux rien voir depuis plusieurs semaines. J’envisage de changer mais j’ai déjà eu le pb avec Express VPN avant. Donc mon analyse est qu’il ne faut pas s’abonner pour des longues périodes en payant tout (promo sur 2 ans), mais payer tous les mois et quand les liens pétent tu changes de fournisseur et tu recommences. En général, selon mon expérience, les liens sont bons une année au mieux. Si quelqu’un a une meilleure option je suis preneuse. Joyeux Noël!

    J'ai souvent entendu ça, cependant est-ce que le gouvernement demande dans les faits à ces entreprises des informations sur ses abonnés quand tu l'utilises pour seeder du torrent, ou bien c'est par pure precaution ? Pour avoir testé NordVPN et Cyberghost, je n'ai pas constaté plus de spam, tentative de piratage ou autre entre avant et après leur utilisation.

    Environment: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (OS build 26200.7705) CyberGhost 8.4.14.14661 If CyberGhost throws this error: “Registry Error – The Windows Registry which is the primary settings storage for apps is not accessible for CyberGhost.” and only works when run as Administrator, here is the actual fix. The problem is incorrect registry permissions on: HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\CyberGhost By default, the installer gives the Users group read-only access. However, the CyberGhost UI tries to write to this key during startup. Windows blocks it, so the app fails unless elevated. Fix: 1. Open regedit 2. Go to HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\CyberGhost 3. Right click → Permissions 4. Click Advanced 5. Disable inheritance 6. Convert inherited permissions to explicit 7. Select Users 8. Edit permissions and allow: * Set Value * Create Subkey * Query Value * Enumerate Subkeys * Read Control Full Control is not required. After this change, CyberGhost starts normally without Administrator. This appears to be an installer / ACL issue. I will report this to CyberGhost support so hopefully they fix it properly in a future update and others won’t need to modify the registry manually.

    Hello team, I wrote it here beacuse Content Blocker rules are not in my control and there is not a single setting like AD guard or next DNS in app or in my account section, so it in your control and will affects everyone using cyberghost and content blocker, secondly while using split tunneling in windows it forces me to use less perfomant protocol which is openvpn no wireguard split tunnelling in windows that why I wrote it here beacuse CYBERGHOST AND PIA uses same blocking list and youtube search history got blocked in both VPNs. So in a nutshell there are no steps that support team could possibly walk me though apart from saying the old use split tunneling and put youtube outside. Thanks for Understanding.

    Transparency is a joke when applied to CyberGhost. You are as opaque as it is possible for a company to be and you scammed me and other people out of money for monthly and yearly subscriptions on a regular basis and are impossible to get in touch with. I raised the issue with PayPal but your dispute resolution is a joke. Not a conversation but a perpetual loop where three times on PayPal (because it’s on PayPal I have documentation) you just directed me back to the same tiny URL, which is a generic help portal and ends up being a time wasting vortex of nothing. I ended up having to close the dispute via PayPal, even though you did actually scam me out of money. Time wasting oxygen thieves

    Started for me after last windows client update. Client installs on other windows devices that don't have the the update (8.4.14) are not affected. No difference after a re-install. Affects OpenVPN connections with killswitch engaged. Using wireguard as a work around. Openvpn does work without killswitch engaged, but don't want to do that. Maybe not obvious as am using wired where I think most use Wi-Fi Will wait to see if fixed, but not holding breath as the enforced 10 second delay on auto connecting at client start up has never been fixed. Faster to just manually connect to a favourite rather than using auto connect.

    Dude this happened to me on April 20th. Been struggling to get it running for weeks and I thought it was cause of left over stuff on my computer from my last VPN. Did every trouble shooting thing and just discovered this today. Do you have any answers? EDIT: I also purchased the 2 year plan for $56.94. I do not have the subscription expired message but I have everything else that you've got.

    Possibly you use the same password for other things, those other things could have had a data breach. Then it just becomes a guessing game for these hackers, using your same email/PW from other things for your CG account, I'm guilty of this. Also, just FYI, a few days after my CG was hacked, an attempt was made to log into my Ubisoft account (not that I even use the thing). But I began changing my password and enabling 2FA in other important accounts.

    This literally happened to me last week. It's actually the reason why I'm in this sub, cus I was looking for help. Got an email that said my email had been changed, if it wasn't me to get support. Clicked the link in the email and started a chat via the sites chat feature. Chat person will ask for some proof of ownership, I have them the last 4 digits of the credit I used to pay for my membership. They will then escalate it to another tech support that will email you in about a day. If all checks out, they changed the account email to a different email I provided. The process took a few days. Just make sure to set stronger passwords in the future...for everything.

    Im happy to hear it wasnt just me! Especially because to be honest whenever I see most people were hacked I (assholishly) think "alright grandpa whod you give you password to". That said it has me wondering what the fuck happened? My username is extremely uncommon on there, and my password was also a unique string of characters. No other soul would have physical access to it and theres nobody I know online thatd try to digitally access it. I have absolutely no idea why i was targeted. A hack maybe?

While I am aware of your 45-day money-back guarantee policy, that policy applies to "no-questions-asked" cancellations. **My situation is fundamentally different:** **CyberGhost is currently in breach of contract by failing to provide the service I have paid for due to a persistent software bug**. Under consumer protection laws (including EU Consumer Rights directives applicable to digital services), **a provider is obligated to supply a functional product.** Your support team has acknowledged the bug but failed to provide a Resolution Timeline (SLO), effectively denying me the service I purchased. If CG will not reconsider the decision, I will be forced to escalate this claim through my payment provider (chargeback/dispute) and report this instance of non-performance to the relevant consumer protection authorities. Sincerely.

    Update: I reached out to CyberGhost support and they shared that they are aware of the issue and their engineers are trying to fix it. However the issue persists longer than a month and they still cannot provide an ETA for the fix. Consider these if you are in the market for a VPN provider.

    I didn’t have the exact same issue as you, but I was having several connection-related problems with CyberGhost on macOS. Sometimes it wouldn’t connect properly, and other times it would hang when closing and I had to restart my Mac to fix it. Since then, the app has been working normally with no freezes or connection issues (so far). Might be worth trying if you’re running into weird network or VPN behavior.

    Hello. Happy New Year. You seem to know CyberGhost VPN. I have a question. I use VPN on my iPad. When I click on my Wi-Fi network, it says: "Application behaviour. Choose a default behaviour for all secure Wi-Fi networks." And there are four options: Ask Connect Stop Never protect I don't really understand the difference between these four choices. Right now, the ‘Never protect’ option is selected. But it's been that way since I bought this VPN. It wasn't me. Thank you for your help. And sorry for the inconvenience.
