    r/projectors · Questions about JMGO N3 Ultimate :)

r/projectors · Question About Projection Alignment on the JMGO N3 Ultimate

Thanks again! Yes, I would have been interested in the wall mount, but I live in France. I don't know where you are located in the world, but if you're abroad, I'm not sure it would be worth it. Haha, thanks again for all your answers, and congratulations on the Titan! It must be an amazing experience. To be honest, I currently have an LG OLED TV, and I'm a little worried about losing those deep blacks that give OLED TVs such an incredible picture quality. I don't think I'll be able to get the same level of blacks with a projector in this price range, even with the JMGO N3 Ultimate. But maybe I'm wrong. I guess that where I'll lose in terms of deep blacks, I'll gain in image size and a more cinematic experience when watching big movies.

r/projectors · What price range is the real sweet spot for home projectors in 2026?

The LTT video almost couldn't have picked a worse $2,000 product with what is out there these days. Still, it was entertaining if not leaning into a bit of the ridiculous. I wish they would call out The Hook Up, as one of the few and only channels which properly reviews multiple projectors in a price bracket at one time. What is the sweet spot? If you want 4K and a decently bright image, the STARTING point is about $1,100 for a refurbished Nexigo Trivision Ultra. It has the same type of placement issues which are found in the cheapest projectors. No zoom, fixed lens offset. But, it is properly bright, reaching the needed levels of what delivers a quality 110" to 130" diagonal image in a dark room. Not as bright as some more expensive models. At $1,500, you get several models including the Valerion Plus, the XGimi Horizon 20, and the Epson 3800. If you are DLP RBE sensitive, the Epson 3800 is the only choice really worth owning at their lowest level. You get lower color reproduction, but better placement flexibility than the DLP competition. I would only buy and recommend this is you need LCD or the lens is the only one that matches your setup. The Valerion is just well reviewed and will deliver a great looking image. The XGimi Horizon 20 is outstanding. It is one of the best values I have ever seen to this point. If someone were looking for a first projector for a home theater, then the Horizon 20 would be my first recommendation. It has excellent color space coverage and can be tweaked to be very accurate. It has top shelf contrast. It's extremely quiet. Has solid on board audio, though you should still use something better. Built in Google TV is a nice feature for some buyers as well. It has the lowest input lag of any projector at that price point right now. Better than the BenQ that was used in the LTT video. From there, you start getting little additions to different models that can be nice. The XGimi Titan Noir and the better Valerion models add more to what the cheaper models offer. Mostly in brightness. The Titan Noir adding contrast and the latest DLP chip in their products. The JMGO N3 Ultimate is right along these products. They kind of fall in that $2,000-$4,000 price range, without what I would consider, a night and day difference. The N3 Ultimate may, at the end of the day, prove to be one of the top recommendations for the next 6 months. I do not have hands on, but this model deserves it from the little I have heard. At around $2,400 you get more brightness than the $1,500 models, with excellent contrast, and incredible lens flexibility. The JVC, Epson, and Sony models tend to look very good at their $5,000+ price points, but that's no longer a sweet spot. If someone were buying with a bit more money than the XGimi Horizon 20, then I would recommend the JMGO N3 Ultimate right now. At the bottom of the line, the Optoma PH31 is the only choice. It's brighter than the cheapest LED products that are out there. $300 in the USA and available at a good price in Europe. It's 1,500 ANSI rating is more than the Nexigo PJ40 delivers, and it uses proper DLP tech instead of single LCD panel tech. It has a very simple operating system, without any smart streaming built in. This makes for a far more reliable product at the lower price point. Add a Amazon Fire TV Stick for $25, on Prime Day (today) - $16. That's an amazing overall deal.

r/projectors · Valerion VisionMaster Max or Nebula X1 Pro

The JMGO N3 Ultimate really should be on your watch list as well. If this is to be fully installed, then consider the XGimi Titan Noir in the list as well. The X1 Pro is a projector, plus a separate sound system, smooshed together. Unless you need that portable sound system, then don't buy them together. Get a surround sound system and get a projector, and install them both properly. I have installed the VisionMaster Max, and frankly it hasn't had any issues during use and looks great. One of the best looking models I have ever installed. While some do complain of throttling issues, this is not something I experienced on my installation and testing of the projector. The XGimi Titan Noir is designed for installation and home theater far more than the lifestyle models like the JMGO N3 Ultimate. But, image wise, they will be very close to one another and will all look really good.

r/JMGO_official · Is the N3 Ultimate worth waiting for?

The review is in the can and once it's officially released you will see the reviews. Again, I have reviewed almost all the JMGOs since the Kickstarter and this N3 Ultimate is the best that I have ever had in my home theatre...wait, you will be glad you did.

r/JMGO_official · Finally ordered the N3 Ultimate. What else should I get

Yes, it is a side affect of DLP projectors...that border used to be bigger on previous Texas Instruments chips and has improved with newer and better DLP chips. I use a black felt lining around the edge of the screen so I cannot even see it no matter how hard I try to look. So do not worry it is normal. Best thing to do is get the projector lined up directly without any digital keystoning or processing for the absolute best image possible and the optical lens shift and zoom make it next to impossible to get that pure image.

r/JMGO_official · Finally ordered the N3 Ultimate. What else should I get

I am using my N3 Ultimate without a screen on a bare wall and it is mind altering. By far the best projector I have ever used. I also back the N1 on Kickstarter and lived it so much it started my mini side hobby of technology review including the JMGO line up. I actually have a video on my channel where I switched from a very expensive Accoustic Transparent screen to the wall and how much more I loved it at OlytheGoalie tech reviews. I just moved my shelving around as I had the N3 almost at the top of the wall, closest to the ceiling, completely forgetting that with the optical lens shift I no longer need to do that. I was able to lower it down, dial it up basically with no keystone or any other digital interference so a perfect square on set up. Love this thing!

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate vs JmGO N5 Ultra Max

I am just completing a new video for my channel...you will not be disappointed in the N3 Ultimate..I was just again drooling over the image and that is after having it for almost two months...still blows me away everytime I look at it!

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate - Bright circular spots in dark scenes?

Don't be over concerned with it from the perspective of getting a defective device..it always suck when you get a defective unit. What's more important is that JMGO WILL take good care of you. You will understand once you have that replaced unit that it is well worth the headache of having to get it replaced... unfortunately these things happen on occasion but once you have received that replacement, all will be good in the world...ok, maybe not the world but at least in your home theater room😂

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 ULTIMATE...I cannot even tell you how good this is...

If you have seen the LS line of Epson and liked that the N3 Ultimate will floor you with its image, first and foremost and then the fact that it optically shifts and zooms like the UB and LS line for Epson is what sets this projector apart. I commented on my early days with the first JMGO model how I feared giving up those features coming from the Epson really was a concern. Mind you it was also alot harder to mount and place those massive Epson's so you needed the shift and zoom. The compact size of the N3 Ultimate makes mounting and placing much more flexible but add the optical shifting and zooming and wow...oh, bye the way let's just throw in a Dolby Vision that actually has the lumens to actually work properly and what more do I need to say.

r/JMGO_official · Finally ordered the N3 Ultimate. What else should I get

You're gonna love this projector. I'm watching interstellar on an 80" screen ( I'm on a weird shaped house that doesn't have a good wall for projection). The built-in Google TV is excellent and fast because there's more than enough ram and storage. The up-sampling of 1080p content from my Plex library is insane, makes every movie look 4k. Native 4k is even better of course! The built-in speakers are good but I needed more volume so I purchased an HDMI to aux adapter from Amazon and attached it to my party speaker for mind blowing sound. I'm so happy with the N3 ultimate!

    r/JMGO_official · Jmgo N3 ultimate

Update: My wife and I have been using this projector everyday and every night since we got it. We are absolutely floored by the quality of the picture. My wife can't believe how good the movies look, almost like looking through a window when you're watching something really high quality. Very pleased with all of the features, including setup, picture, and sound. And if you are not happy with picture quality, there are lots of settings you can tweak to make it perfect for your own taste. I had to turn off the AI Darkness control, turn off HDR,and dial up shadows to 20 to increase brightness as blacks were just too dark for my liking. There have been a few movies, particularly on my Plex server that had low volume and I had to use an HDMI sound extractor to wire a speaker to the projector using a sound adapter with a 3.5 mm jack. I use a Marshall speaker with 80 watts or I have a Samsung party speaker (with karaoke) that I wire to the projector on occasion because people in my family like to sing. I've only had to wire the Marshall speaker for a few Star Trek movies so far, otherwise the volume was loud enough with the built-in speakers. And to be honest, I'm kind of shocked at the quality of sound the built-in speakers put out, including the bass. It's really, really good. What I really like is that the projector remembers where the screen is and stays positioned when it's turned on and off. Some of my other projectors I had to set up again because they didn't remember where they were placed and reset the picture. I am extremely satisfied with the unit. My biggest concern was whether or not it was going to have the rainbow effect, and the only time you can see it is on bright white text, like subtitles or credits, and even then it's not very noticeable and not a deal-breaker, it's just something you can see if you really look for it. Otherwise I don't notice it at all in any of of the movies I've watched. That includes on services such as Netflix, prime video, Britbox, YouTube, and movies from my Plex server. I'd also like to mention that the Built-In Google TV works extremely well due to the amount of memory the projector has. The built-in Google TV on my old Epson ef22 was garbage, it was slow and unresponsive most of the time, so I had to use a fire TV stick. With this projector, the Google TV works so smoothly without any delay, that I haven't had to plug in any of my other streaming devices. If you buy it, I think you will be happy with it.

r/JMGO_official · Is the N3 Ultimate worth waiting for?

Hey there, thanks for the info - I actually received the projector a few days ago and I completely agree - the sound is excellent, especially for a projector. There are some movies I need to crank the volume up to 80+ but mostly, depending upon the movie and the streaming service, I keep it around 50 or lower. My wife was also impressed by the sound - somehow JMGO makes it seem as though the sound is coming from the screen itself, rather than the projector. The bass is also good, as you mention, and it seems to do a great job levelling the sound to bring out the dialog and tone down the music and explosions, etc. I'm very pleased with the picture and the sound. I did need to turn off all the AI black stuff and dial up the shadows to 20 because the dark scenes were just too dark and I couldn't see what was going on, especially during the daytime. I also had to increase the hue to get proper skin tones as the projector calibration tends to lean toward RED. Thanks again for your reply and enjoy your projector!

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate - Bright circular spots in dark scenes?

Totally agree! I’ve had excellent experience with JMGO on my previous projectors and they’ve always been fantastic to deal with. Their customer support is responsive and they really stand behind their products. Hoping they take good care of me with this defective N3 Ultimate too. Appreciate the reassurance!

r/projectors · Question About Projection Alignment on the JMGO N3 Ultimate

Hi! I actually owned the JMGO N3 Ultimate for a while and can confirm exactly what you’re asking about. The AI auto alignment on that projector is genuinely excellent. I used to throw it from the far left side of the room (pretty significant off-axis angle) onto a wall that wasn’t perfectly parallel to my seating, and it still corrected the image to look straight and rectangular relative to my sofa/viewing position. Keystone, geometry, and focus all sorted themselves out very quickly and accurately. Just let it run the full auto-setup (it does the whole “scan and adjust” dance) and you should be good even on an imperfect wall while you wait for your proper screen. It’s one of the things I was most impressed with on the N3. You’ll love it when it arrives, enjoy!

r/projectors · Question About Projection Alignment on the JMGO N3 Ultimate

Bummer about the wall mount, I’m in the USA. Would’ve been easy to meet up locally otherwise. Haha and yeah, I was backer #1 on the XGIMI Titan Noir Max Kickstarter, so I’ve been following it for a long time. The blacks on it are legitimately impressive for a projector. It won’t match an OLED’s perfect inky blacks in a fully lit room, but in a decently controlled environment the contrast and black levels are excellent, way better than most projectors in this class. The huge screen size more than makes up for it once you experience it with movies. You’ll get that big cinematic feel for sure. Congrats on the N3 coming soon, you’re gonna love the size upgrade!

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate - Bright circular spots in dark scenes?

Yeah, I’m already in regular contact with customer service, and they’ve been exceptionally responsive and helpful. They quickly accommodated my initial concerns and sent a replacement unit. However, a new issue arose with the replacement. When it arrived, the power brick wasn’t factory sealed, and there was visible dust on the unit itself. This raised concerns about whether it was truly brand new. I immediately reached back out to support, and they’ve been great about it, offering a full refund if the unit turns out not to be new, even though I’m outside the standard return window. They’re currently investigating. In the meantime, I’m thoroughly enjoying the N3 Ultimate while we sort this out.

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate: Original Dust Issue → Replacement with Red Flags (Unsealed Brick + Dust)

The JMGO customer service team is very responsive and has been great to work with, they’ll take care of your concern. I totally get it, these are big ticket purchases, so any issue can make you nervous. So far I’ve had no complaints with their support. My only real concern has been the replacement unit. I just need an assurance from them that it is a brand new and factory sealed one. This is actually my 3rd JMGO projector, and I plan to keep both it and my very portable N1S 4K. I had the N1S Ultra but returned it to make the upgrade with N3 Ultimate which is phenomenal. The C5 Master is a great machine as well, it was definitely on my radar but very pricey. I’m also a backer of the XGIMI Titan Noir Max, but overall I’m still really happy with JMGO and their products.

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate - Bright circular spots in dark scenes?

Hi Jayce, thanks for the quick reply and the confirmation. I really appreciate it. I’m still within my 30 day return window. Do you think I should push for a replacement or just go for a full return? I’m a bit worried about potentially getting another unit with the same problem. Thanks again for all your honest reviews, they’ve saved me from a few bad purchases before! 👍

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate: Optical adjustment vs. Digital Keystone adjustement.

I don't know if there's anything to post here. It's just that after the last update, probably from June, controlling the gimbal with the remote control isn't working properly. Specifically, when I point the remote control in a specific direction, the gimbal freezes. In the same direction I pointed the remote. However, the gimbal adjustment works automatically when I set the AI image calibration. Then it will automatically adjust. Only the remote control is blocked in In a given direction.

    r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate User Guide

It's a shame this projector isn't advertised as 4k120Hz, but as 1080p240Hz. In my opinion, 4k at that many Hz in projectors isn't so obvious. But then again, 240Hz looks better in the ad, right?

    r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate User Guide

Via OTA. There was an update about two weeks ago, and after that version these problems started. And it's absurd to me when you connect two moonlight pads (in my case, PlayStation 5 dualsense) And at random moments, your projector restarts. Not to mention enabling VRR on the projector every time you connect to an HDMI source...

    r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate User Guide

Hi, I have n3 ultimate too and I use AI customized image settings (from what I see it automatically disables certain options in the image settings, so it must control them automatically. I could Test 2 things after the last update. I'm talking about sound settings and turning on Dolby audio. It's the last thing I've done. It boosts the bass so much that you can't hear anything (plus it at least detects Dolby Digital well now on Netflix)And the second thing after this update, controlling the gimbal with the remote control doesn't work, i.e. the remote control points in one direction and the projector seems to be stuck in a given direction and goes in that direction on its own... So I don't know if the update caused this feature to fail, or if the gimbal is damaged somehow. The gimbal works fine in the projector settings and AI image positioning, so I don't know. If you have more questions, write.

r/projectors · Which projector for living room

JMGO N3 Ultimate is set to launch pretty soon and seems to be in your price range. I was lucky enough to get a hold of one and I think it's pretty great. I'm using it on a 106" Stewart Filmscreen Wallscreen Deluxe and it fills up the entire screen very well. I mostly use it at night but it's totally viewable during the day in a room with ambient light. I'm planning on posting photos and videos of it in action soon.

r/projectors · Which projector for living room

I've never tried a motorized screen. I don't really see the need for a motorized screen unless you need/want to have it out of the way on a regular basis. I have a dedicated spot for my screen. They have different screen materials to choose from that are ALR. I don't believe mine [StudioTek 130 G4](https://www.stewartfilmscreen.com/en/materials/studiotek-130-g4) is ALR. I am very happy with my screen and projector though. Incredible image and it works like magic.

    r/projectors · Questions about JMGO N3 Ultimate :)

Depends on how bright you want your image. Is this your very first projector? Or are you coming from something else? 3,000 usable lumens on an image at 100 inches is crazy bright for 99 percent of people, I’d wager. Now, if you’re going up to 150 inches, for example, your image will appear dimmer, further compounded on you using the wall instead of a matte screen with low gain for dark viewing. How often are you trying to use it in day? I actually own that projector and use a 112” wall for my master bedroom, but have a screen for the living room for when I have company over for movie nights and there’s a definite difference, but again, at that price point, I literally don’t think a brighter exists.  There’s a deal on B&H.com that expires within like an hour and a half of this reply to you, and that projector is normally $4,000 (Xgimi Titan) but it’s being sold for $1,800. Cheaper than your N3 and usable lumens are at 5,000. If you don’t absolutely need the gimbal, or are within your return period, I’d strongly consider that. A projector like that blows the N3 away, but again, different price points. The Ultimate is fantastic in that competition space, and is easier to carry around if you never see yourself moving it often.

r/projectors · Valerion Pro 2 outside optical zoom range for 120” — how bad is the real-world quality loss?

Sounds like placement flexibility matters way more than specs here. I’d probably look into the N3 Ultimate too. The lens shift and 0.88–1.7:1 optical zoom range seem pretty relevant for your throw distance and mounting situation. Also the practical thing is that the N3U is an actual unit you can buy now. Personally I’m always a little cautious with high-end gear that’s still mostly tied to crowdfunding pages, since you’re paying upfront and may still be waiting months.

r/JMGO_official · Is the N3 Ultimate worth waiting for?

Hello! sorry it took a week to answer but I think i have a perfect sense now. the sound system is really, really rich and has a lot of bass. Here is a shot of me sitting right next to the projector (please notice that this is a smartphone recording, there is daylight and its a simple 100 inch screen, this is not a display for the stunning picture quality of the n3 Ultimate). However why am I posting this picture? In the picture there is a german kids show called "sendung mit der Maus" this is very basicy tv. there is some background music and the moment which stood out to me was how the jmgo manages to give simples scenes quite a bit of bass. it doesn't feel unnatural at any point, its more like demonstration what other sound systems are missing. I sadly do not have a epson ef22 so I can't compare. However i got every jmgo n1s series projector and some n1 series and the o2s ultra. the soundsystem of the n3 ultimate stood out to me in every way. its hard to put on a sample but if you're still unsure and from germany, hit me up, we can meet up in my area and you can take a listen for yourself! https://preview.redd.it/5xdpkmlvsxyg1.png?width=1618&format=png&auto=webp&s=f5b4a7264418445920405d6fc33fa53a2ee32ae5

r/projectors · Epson LS12000 or wait for JMGO N3 Ultimate?

I’ve actually got them both in our showroom and they are both relay good but with their own unique stenosis and cons. Considering you are coming from an LCD Epson, are you familiar with the rainbow effect and laser speckle that you would get on an RGB projector like the JMGO? Some people won’t notice it and some are very susceptible. Feel free to shoot me a DM if you want to get into the weeds between them both.

r/projectors · Home Cinema Projector Recommendations for under £7000

You've got a really solid budget. Maybe take a look at the N3 Ultimate. It pushes 5,800 ISO lumens, which is about as bright as projectors get. I rewatched Spider-Man just last week, and even on a second viewing, its color reproduction continued to impress me. That's my favorite aspect. And I barely have to worry about setup because the gimbal just handles it all.

r/projectors · Pulling the trigger on the JMGO N3 Ultimate today — should I care that it doesn’t have IMAX?

I have the n3 ultimate and personally wouldn’t make IMAX enhanced the deciding factor. From what I understand, it’s more of a certification compatibility thing, not something that automatically makes the image look a whole tier better. For normal movie watching, I don’t really feel like I’m missing it. Based on your use case, placement flexibility sounds more important. Moving between a kid’s room, garage, patio and dining room is very different from a fixed theater setup. That’s also why I went with the n3 ultimate. I cared about brightness and picture quality at first, but in daily use the gimbal, lens shift and spatial memory are the things I notice every time. It just makes moving and setting it up way less annoying.

    r/projectors · Questions about JMGO N3 Ultimate :)

Have you tried doing a full reset of the display settings by chance? I use standard mode (no AI wall correction) on a 100" screen right now and its quite bright I must say! And yes, there are instances when I feel like the brightness is too much lol. I do see the trapezoid rectangle light bleed around my image as well, I do agree with you, I think its because we are probably using too much image correction.

    r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate User Guide

OP I'm also a little surprised that there is no user guide, I found myself tinkering through the settings not knowing exactly what they do. I hope they come up with a user guide that can describe these settings, or at least some sort of description when you hover over a setting. I downloaded the jmgo app but they didnt have anything there either for the n3 ultimate

    r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate 4K Triple Laser throw distance ?

I guess it really depends on your room setup and whether you're after that big-screen cinema feel. Personally, I'm a total sucker for that theater experience, so I ended up going with the N3 Ultimate. It doesn't take up much space, and the immersion is just incredible.

r/JMGO_official · JMGO N3 Ultimate vs JmGO N5 Ultra Max

Thanks. I've decided to stick with N3 Ultimate. Its a terrific product, but its missing a "Match Frame Rate" option in the display settings, which means that native 24Hz playback is impossible using the Google TV apps. They all play movies at 60Hz with a horrible "soap opera effect" introduced in the frame rate conversion. Handles 24HZ fine via HDMI, though. Hopefully this can be addressed in a future firmware update.

r/JMGO_official · Finally ordered the N3 Ultimate. What else should I get

Do you experience a faint light border outside the projected image area? I just got it as well and it's my first DLP projector and notice it more so when the room is dark. It's visible even when the projector is perfectly centered on the wall with no keystone correction or lens shift applied, and it becomes wider when I use lens shift.

I just got the N3 Ultimate and noticed a faint light border outside the projected image area. Is this expected behavior with DLP projectors, or is there something specific to the N3 Ultimate causing it?

r/projectors · Xgimi horizon 20 pro max or the Jmgo n3 ultimate?

Haha I was stuck between these for way longer than I want to admit, and I ended up going with the JMGO N3 Ultimate. The price sits between the 20 Pro and the Max, which made it easier to justify for me. After reviews and threads, my takeaway was that the N3 Ultimate was basically on the same level as the 20 Max in picture quality and core specs. What finally made me pick the JMGO was the setup stuff. Lens shift and auto correction can work together, which sounds minor until you’re actually trying to line the image up. And the wider optical zoom helps too. Anyway, hope that helps a bit.

r/xgimi · Xgimi horizon 20 pro max or the Jmgo n3 ultimate?

Are you talking about the Horizon 20 pro or the max? Pro vs N3 Ultimate, I’d pick the N3 U pretty easily. Max vs N3 U is closer tho. I watched B The Installer’s video a few days ago and skimmed a couple threads after that. From what I saw, the max and N3 U looked pretty close in picture quality, so I wouldn’t make the decision off that alone. If setup flexibility matters to you, that’s where I’d go N3 U. The image adjustment gives you more room to work with if the projector can’t sit in a perfect spot.

r/xgimi · Xgimi horizon 20 pro max or the Jmgo n3 ultimate?

Both are really cool projectors but I personally lean towards the Horizon 20 Max. It covers both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, so you’re not locked into one format depending on what you’re watching, the N3 Ultimate only does Dolby Vision. And the judder handling on the XGIMI is noticeably better which for a dark dedicated room makes a real difference on film content

The N3 has optical zoom but no lens shift so isn't as flexible on placement as the XGIMI HORIZON 20 Pro. One would need to get the N3 Ultimate to get lens shift. Nowadays I would recommend getting the XGIMI Titan Noir (base, Pro, or Max) from the Kickstarter campaign at a significantly reduced price. It's a far superior projector for about the same price as the HORIZON 20 Pro and N3 Ultimate.

r/projectors · Help with a new home theater setup

Honestly I'd probably consider the Jmgo N3 ultimate too. You've got some ambient light, sports, people hanging out, so it doesn't really feel like a blacked out theater setup. I've read some impressions earlier and the AI gimbal plus lens shift stuff inpressed me, actually seems pretty useful for this kind of space where placement flexibility matters. Feels like that would matter more long term fr.

r/projectors · Epson LS12000 or wait for JMGO N3 Ultimate?

Epson will be better for a home theatre if you’re focused towards that. Have you considered pledging for Xgimi Titan Noir kickstarter? I think it will be better than the n3 and cheaper than ls12000 but you would lose on 4k120.

r/projectors · JMGO N3 Ultimate Review After 3 Weeks of Use

I was a bit confused by that at first too. The simplest way I’d put it is that it seems to help preserve image quality when you’re not in a perfect front-on setup. With a lot of projectors, once you start correcting the image digitally, you usually give up some sharpness. Here it feels like the projector is doing more of the work on the hardware side, which ends up helping optimize image quality overall. I can’t really speak to the engineering side in detail, but in actual use it’s been really helpful in my apartment.

r/hometheater · Best Home Projector for a New Home theater in 2026

For a dedicated 120–150” home theater at around 10–12 feet viewing distance, you’re already in the range where image quality differences really come down to contrast, black levels, and lens quality rather than just brightness or specs on paper. That’s why models like the Epson LS12000 and JVC NZ500 are still considered the safest “endgame” choices if your priority is true cinema-like depth and you want to install once and not think about upgrades again. The newer triple-laser projectors like the Hisense C2 Ultra, XGIMI Horizon 20 Max, Valerion Pro 2, or JMGO’s upcoming N3 Ultimate are definitely closing the gap and offer a lot more convenience with smart features and easier setup, but they still don’t quite match JVC-level contrast in a fully dark room. Something like the Dangbei DBOX02 Pro is a good example of this newer generation, very easy to place, strong brightness, and flexible enough for changing room plans, but more focused on convenience than absolute reference image quality. If I were you, I’d mainly decide based on whether you want “best possible cinematic image” (Epson/JVC) or “modern all-in-one ease of use” (triple laser options), and the biggest thing to lock in early to avoid headaches is your exact throw distance and screen size before choosing anything.

r/projectors · Which projector for living room

Might be worth holding off a bit before buying. JMGO’s new flagship N3 Ultimate is coming soon, and people in their sub have already started talking about it. From what I've heard, it's supposed to hit around 5800 ISO lumens, so daytime viewing could be fine. You could wait until it officially launches and then compare it with the other options.
