FWIW my TK700 has been underwhelming

I did a lot of research about the same thing recently for our home cinema / gaming room, and the TK710 is the best option under 2000, followed by the TK700. Reason why I went for the TK710 is because on paper it will last twice as long as the TK700.

AV_Integratedr/projectors · MEILLEUR VIDEO PROJECTEUR 4K EN 2023 --> XGIMI HORIZON PRO suffisant ? →2023-10-31T21:08:52
For gaming, none support 1080p/120hz that I am aware of. That is more a function of the newer 4K models designed by BenQ with gaming specific functionality. The X3100i would be something that supports this. The TK700 or the TK700STi models. The HT4550i. Things start getting expensive, and you start losing placement flexibility. As well, if you're gaming, you cannot use keystone correction or digital zoom without taking a massive hit to input lag.

TK700 with a 92" Screen is "too bright". Its more of a 120"-135" Projector...

Someone recommended the TK700 to me, I am using it for the same reasons and about the same size screen. I will be buying that one most likely.

You just have to do better research and/or read more in this Subreddit... \^\_° 4LED (RGB+ LED) Projectors like the BenQ X500i or BenQ X3000/X3100 are preferable before Single Laser with Phosphorwheel like the TK710. As for the TK700. The brighter and more silent Acer Models like the H6805Bda is preferable. TechNick1-1r/projectors · Buying Guidance Appreciated: Hisense C1 vs. BenQ TK860i vs BenQ W2710i →2024-04-09T09:03:44
??? You took more than one wrong turn... Perhaps you should read my Post again! The TK860i would be possible with 4000 ANSI Lumen instead of 3300 ANSI Lumen without sacrificing anything! My Point was and still is : If you go for a RGBWRGBW Colorwheel Projector it should have significant (!) more ANSI Lumen than the RGBRGB Colorwheel Model! Otherwise its better to get a 4LED Projector like the X3000/X3100 instead of the TK860i! However , OP was looking for 110"-120" Screen Size which is perfect for the HT3560 (W2710) and it would make not much sense to get the TK860i for it because the HT3560 (W2710) has the better overall Picture Quality with enough Brightness for a 120" Screen! Btw. my Acer is basically a brighter & more silent TK700! The Picture Quality is the same. Only difference is that the TK700 looks better uncalibrated OotB! I´ve calibrated a Friends TK700 as well as my Acer!

Careless_Mountain281r/projectors · Viewsonic LX700-4K... Best gaming projector? →2024-01-14T10:17:20
Oh I see... I've seen a few comparisons between the x3000i and the tk700 and honestly the tk700 seemed to look better (brighter?). Can you confirm this or was that just due to the recording of the video? Does the x3000i look that much better in real life than the normal bulb projectors like the PX728-4K or the TK700?

TechNick1-1r/projectors · Viewsonic LX700-4K... Best gaming projector? →2024-01-14T09:32:23
The LX700-4K i would recommend only for a 135"-150" Screen! The "better" Picture Quality UP TO 120" will give you: [https://geizhals.eu/viewsonic-px728-4k-a2596854.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=eu&hloc=pl&hloc=uk](https://geizhals.eu/viewsonic-px728-4k-a2596854.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=eu&hloc=pl&hloc=uk) [https://geizhals.eu/viewsonic-x1-4k-a2921941.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=eu&hloc=pl&hloc=uk](https://geizhals.eu/viewsonic-x1-4k-a2921941.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=eu&hloc=pl&hloc=uk) The PX728-4K has a better Picture Quality than the TK700! The Viewsonic X1-4K would be my first choice for a 120" Screen BUT the Price difference vs. the PX728-4K is significant as you can see. Same applies to the BenQ X3000(i) vs. the X1-4K. The X3000(i) would be better than the LX700-4K ( and X1-4K ) but I would only choose the X3000(i) with a bigger Screen than 120".

Only to some extent. However - it makes no sense to use a TK700 on a 92" Screen if you can get a better Picture Quality with a different Projector - who would only struggle with Screen Sizes OVER 120" f.e.

5ajmonr/projectors · BENQ W1800 vs TK700 for gaming (RGBRGB vs RGBW) →2023-03-31T10:04:41
Yup in Europe. The Viewsonic is \~100-200 euro more than the W1800 (not i) and 200-300 more than TK700. I think the input lag is the same for TK700 and W1800 and I've seen your posts about RGBRGB that is why I've started to consider something else than TK700. Definitely not a professional gamer, but casual. So far I was using rather poor 70" philips TV. I just have to move to a different room where it's easier to install screen and projector, I believe it's going to be an improvement from my TV anyway. It's just always whenever you buy something you want to make best choice :-). I got the screen already, although it's rather cheap (100euro) screen, with white background and black frame. So as I understand, the difference between 2000/3200 lumens doesn't matter really for a 120" screen with 3.5m throw used at night. The W1800 has better colors due to RGBRGB Wheel and the input lag is the same for 4K (16ms) so they both should be good for gaming.

No projector at that price point is true native 4K. Pixel-shifting can produce images which are indistuingashable from the real thing as reported by people who look at projectors for a living.

That’s just the short throw version, no? The throw ratios on the TK700 and x3000i are fine for me.

Dbl checked. Both are 4k Same lag $1200 compared to $2000 For 800 savings you could buy many lamps

Mainly pure Marketing. As i´ve said before as long as you don´t play COD at League Level the W1800 will be your best choice. Otherwise the Viewsonic PX728-4K. Both will give you a better Picture Quality than the TK700 because both have a RGBRGB Colorwheel.

Up to 120" the Viewsonic PX728-4K is the Best Bang for the Buck. Over 120" and up to 150" - depending on the Screen (!) the Acer H6805BDa is the Best Bang for the Buck. The Acer is basically a brighter and more silent TK700.

I you are not playing Pro League Level on COD the W1800 Input Lag is perfectly fine and the projector will give you a better Picture Quality than the TK700. If you are in Europe you can also go for the Viewsonic PX728-4K. Its basically a TK700 with a RGBRGB Colorwheel. Do you have the Screen already?
