r/projectors · Epson QB1000 Review: The replacement for the Epson LS12000

So we have this unit in our showroom and I just can’t get over how unsharp the image from this unit looks. Not even in comparison to a JVC NZ500, but even to a BenQ W2720i and Epson LS11000. Epson is considering this to be working as intended but it’s just not looking good. Thought it was a faulty unit at first, but tried another one from a later manufacturing date and it had the same sharpness issue. I just can’t recommend it over the other models in that price range. In the EU, this model is around €5000 btw

    r/projectors · Horizon 20, Nexigo Trivision or Benq W2720i or…?

RGB Laser Speckle will be worse on your Wall than on a PROPER Screen. The TK710 and the W2720 can do 3D! I would get the W2720 with a proper 135" Screen! Or the TK710 with a 150" Screen - which would be WAY too big for your viewing distance!

    r/projectors · BenQ TK705STi vs BenQ TK710STi for a first projector

Ah. Last week it was discounted for prime days down to 1529 usd before tax. I’ve been liking it a lot. Love the modern hdmi 2.1 features and that the colors are spot on out of the box. Nice to not have to worry about laser speckle. I just need to get blinds in my basement…

r/projectors · Best projector (movies & gaming) for mixed use room under $3k?

If movies are your top priority, you can consider the BenQ W2720i. It’s a really nice middle ground between the Epson 5050UB and gaming-focused models more cinematic and color-accurate than most gaming projectors, but still modern, sharp, and great for mixed use. Since you mentioned you’d trade some gaming performance for better movie quality, I think it fits your use case very well.

    r/xgimi · Rainbow Effect : BenQ W4100i vs. XGIMI Horizon 20 Base/Pro/Max

I hands-on compared W4100i vs. Horizon 20 Max 2 days ago. I was very surprised to find that I experienced way less RBE on the W4100i. I have previously seen the W2720i and according to my memory RBE was much more pronounced. If you care about 3D though, RBE was pretty bad with 3D on W4100i. I'm not sure how Benq managed to achieve this, I am not aware of any RBE reduction tech built in?

    r/projectors · BenQ W2720I or Hisense C2 Ultra on a 150" Screen ?

Thanks again, highly appreaciate your inputs. The Hisense C2 offer is running out in 5 hours from now - but i am indeed trying to find alternative (ag. the 2720i that fits the mounting position in my room, aswell as it fits the throwing distance to the 150").

    r/projectors · BenQ W2720I or Hisense C2 Ultra on a 150" Screen ?

BenQ 2720i throw distance: (Making it possible to be mounted in ceiling at the back of this narrow room, and still project 150") https://preview.redd.it/50cmdnwymf4g1.jpeg?width=3150&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e8b527e4a12bd8c69442c6b19e05729511e4ce7a

    r/projectors · BenQ W2720I or Hisense C2 Ultra on a 150" Screen ?

Thanks alot for your input, I will have a look at that specific BenQHT4550i - Not sure if it has another model number here in Europe ? The TK710 I have been checking on that, it's throw distances (it can do the 150" in my room), but it will have to be mounted in the ceiling like 1 meter out from the wall, making it more visible in the living room, as if it (like BenQ 2720 + Hisense C2) can be mounted way back at the wall and still project the 150" from a 2,7 meter distance.

    r/projectors · BenQ W2720I or Hisense C2 Ultra on a 150" Screen ?

Won't be doing that - As I allready come from 110" - And in relation with refurbishing the house, I have closed/sealed a door off, and build a new wide wall in the living room for the exact reason to go for 150" :) I also tried with my old BenQ1070W to run the 150" on that dedicated wall, its GREAT and I LOVE IT :) Only thing is that 1070W is a "little old" now, and aswell it can project the 150" but only if its placed with its rear sticking out the window haha, so throw distance is too long for 1070W, where both Hisense + BenQ 2720i will do the "new job" in terms of throwing big at shorter distance :)

r/projectors · Upgrading from BenQ HT2050A after 4,000 hours — Need advice on next projector

For 100” screen you don’t need a lot of lumens. I’ve also reviewed the W2720i and it’s still hanging in my theater. I would say it’s 3/4 of a W4100i. So a little less lumen output (though it will still muscle a 100” screen), a little less contrast, a little less color gamut. Though it’s actually sharper than the W4100i by a hair. It’s effectively the replacement for the HT3560– but being 4LED it’s a lot brighter and more colorful than that model. It would be a definite upgrade from the HT2050A. Also, I see you’re worried about fan noise— the 2720i is very quiet. If you want to save even more I would also recommend looking at the X500i as it is essentially the 4K version of the HT2060 which replaced the 2050A. Don’t let the ‘gamer’ moniker fool you it’s a fine cinema projector. It has really good contrast but is a bit dimmer than the 2720i. Still, will be more than sufficient for a 100” screen. Negatives is it’s short throw only and no lens shift which is a bummer. The chassis is also a little louder than the 2720i especially on high lamp mode.

    r/projectors · BenQ W2720I or Hisense C2 Ultra on a 150" Screen ?

go for HT4550i refurb or, if adamant on new, go with the TK710. The W2720i will work well on a 150 screen, but you won't see good HDR because it's such a big screen and HDR on projectors gets much worse after like 128. I HATE that the c2 ultra or c3 don't have lens shift and also the mounting options suck for lifestyle projectors. I would pick the TK710 over a heartbeat because of the brightness. But none of these beat the HT4550i, and it's not close Here's the link to the HT4550i: [https://www.ebay.com/itm/166892729887?\_skw=benq+ht4550i&epid=15062125393&itmmeta=01KB8EDMY2J527D9WHX1T981EF&hash=item26db94f61f:g:droAAeSwJjtpKnjR&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1cpu6SqknBk7l2oM0BdBnpsSy%2FMNcZ8Nh51ah0I2j6pO1wQlzJgwp6%2BHMGMZYBbsm4e4ZIF5PITADCcEJHW43cxG%2BG67tAkNjhYRQe3e7Xaxv44h8zl2l5NvBNBgWUZNIOPmKvLkGrhSYEUIRieFlnMY3d2icoD%2Bn1yrUoeazm0IaCr75eUQxnhmvSafvdNlNSzgTTw5K%2F64jUE5IUSKxRa1LiETgE78fypqgIbe1WnYxa3yfEbclYTo6GdIzCXvsw%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5TPto7aZg](https://www.ebay.com/itm/166892729887?_skw=benq+ht4550i&epid=15062125393&itmmeta=01KB8EDMY2J527D9WHX1T981EF&hash=item26db94f61f:g:droAAeSwJjtpKnjR&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1cpu6SqknBk7l2oM0BdBnpsSy%2FMNcZ8Nh51ah0I2j6pO1wQlzJgwp6%2BHMGMZYBbsm4e4ZIF5PITADCcEJHW43cxG%2BG67tAkNjhYRQe3e7Xaxv44h8zl2l5NvBNBgWUZNIOPmKvLkGrhSYEUIRieFlnMY3d2icoD%2Bn1yrUoeazm0IaCr75eUQxnhmvSafvdNlNSzgTTw5K%2F64jUE5IUSKxRa1LiETgE78fypqgIbe1WnYxa3yfEbclYTo6GdIzCXvsw%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR5TPto7aZg)
