r/tenwaysebike · What is the tube size of the 600 pro rear rack?

When I asked Tenways support (have you done this already?) they said the rack for the CGO600 (which I think is the same as for the pro) had 15mm tubes. I got a different rack instead (Tortec Epic Allow), because I already had a bike with a rack with 10mm tubes (which I think is roughly the "standard" size). There will be a lot of racks out there designed for 700c wheel bikes that will fit just fine tbh. Also you can get pannier bags, like those made by Ortlieb, which can be adapted to fit various sizes of rack (although the adaptors can be a bit fiddly to remove).

r/tenwaysebike · How many people here have had problems with their Tenways e-bike?

It's a shame that there isn't an assistance level below PAS 1 really. It just shoots you right up to 15mph and you only really start putting work in if you want to push past that. I find that the bike is too fast when travelling through environments that are busy with pedestrians (e.g. parks / towpaths) so a lot of the time I turn the assistance off completely in those sorts of areas.

r/tenwaysebike · Tenways CGO 600 Pro Classic: possible to always enable “low-battery eco mode”?

Probably what you're feeling is that when the charge is very low, the output the battery is capable of is reduced because of the low voltage in the cells. So this isn't the controller intentionally trying to ration the motor output, it's just that the system is no longer capable of its normal output. I've experienced this with other e-bikes, it's pretty normal. Even electric cars have reduced acceleration / torque when the battery is very low. Yeah I agree (I own the older model of the CGO600) that it would be nice to have a mode that is even lower than PAS 1. Sometimes I ride with the assistance completely off through environments like parks or other areas with pedestrians, because with it on it's just too eager to zoom you up to 15mph. Also it would be interesting to see if reducing the motor output could help with the range. But there's no way to tune the behaviour unfortunately.

r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy.

I had a bike with the Mahle X35 system for a bit (unfortunately I had to return it due to a fault), and the assistance levels in the three modes was configurable via an app which connected using bluetooth. If Tenways offered something like that, maybe that would be a way to keep everyone happy. On my CGO600 I do feel like PAS level 1 is a bit too easy and I would like the option to have the bike offer less (but not zero) assistance in situations where I want to put more physical effort it, or if I'm going on a long ride and want to conserve the battery.

    r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Plus

E-bike motors these days almost always have a clutch to disengage the motor. At least on my CGO600, when I push past the point where the motor disengages, I certainly don't feel like I'm having to fight motor drag.

    r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Pro, CGO 600 Plus or Fiido C21

Just to provide a counterpoint, integrated batteries do have the following advantages: - They save weight, as the down tube remains a single solid piece, and the battery's packaging can be very simple given it will be protected by the frame. There's a reason most electric road bikes go with this approach. - The manufacturing is simpler and therefore cheaper than a bike with a removeable battery built into the down tube. This is probably at least part of the reason why the CGO600 is so cheap compared to the pro. Bikes that just have the battery lashed to the down tube / rear rack can be very cheap too, but it looks a bit crap. I'd agree that a removeable battery probably makes more sense for most people but it's not like it's a choice that only comes with downsides.

r/tenwaysebike · Test rode Cowboy Cruiser & CGO 009 — anyone switch from Cowboy Cruiser to Tenways CGO009? Thoughts?

Can't speak for these two exact models but I have a tenways cgo600 and a friend of mine has the cowboy 3. We rode each other's bikes to compare, and the assistance on the tenways is way more effortless than the cowboy one. The amount you have to pedal for the same acceleration is much more on the cowboy. This may differ for different models, but somehow I doubt that. Just my 2 cents though.

    r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Plus

I have a CGO600 which I sometimes use as a regular bicycle (without electrical assist). It's definitely doable on a flat surface, might be quite hard on hills as there is just one fixed gear. There were a few cases when I was commuting back from work (~9km) without any charge and that was fine :)

r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy.

I just got the old CGO600 and after ridden multiple ebikes, I also believe it is one with the strongest support (if not the strongest I have ever ridden). For reference I have a VanMoof X3 and its highest assistance level is more or less the level 2 of the CGO600. It is not particularly a bad thing if they reduce it for the new model as it saves energy, but indeed if they went too far it might be too much. It is a matter of time before someone finds a way to adjust speed, PAS levels, etc, though.

    r/ebikes · Fiido C21 or Tenways CGO600?

C21 gets my vote.15% is pretty steep, and I'd take a 9-speed drivetrain over a single-speed every day of the week. The CGO600 is a cool bike, but you're still stuck with one gear on climbs.Just shift down on the C21 and life gets a lot easier. Plus, even Tenways describes the CGO600 as a bike for flat city roads. Kind of tells you where its sweet spot is.For a mostly flat commute I'd consider the CGO600. For a route with a 15% hill, C21 makes way more sense.

r/ebikes · I'm looking for an ebike like the Tenways CGO600.

I have it and the CGO 600. The T1ST is my favorite because the assist is slightly more active, the bike is definitely faster and I don't have the noticeable drag the GCO 600 has when you exceed 20mph. Comfort wise, I changed out seats and added an extension to heighten the handle bars on both bikes. The T1ST has a rubber belt which I like but really don't see no riding benefit. Lastly, it is a single speed , but I never understood why you need gears with assist e-bikes.

r/ebikes · Do you have any experience with the Tenways CGO 600? Is it recommended?

Quick search and I found this [https://kwsseuren.com/tenways-cgo600-36v-accu](https://kwsseuren.com/tenways-cgo600-36v-accu), so the battery isn't made by Tenways, they outsource production, the battery is made by **Phylion**, the model is **EBT360-070P3B4** (36V, 7Ah, 252Wh), this specific battery is used by Tenways and Mivice ebikes. So even if Tenways goes down, you will still probably be able to buy a replacement, right now there're several shops which sell this specific model.

r/ebikes · Do you have any experience with the Tenways CGO 600? Is it recommended?

Depends how much you value it, i live in an apartment and always love charging it everywhere i can, i even bought a second battery to be able to hot swap them (or bring it along to bike around 120km radius) and helps decrease battery degradation. As you can’t change it on the older non pro model. What will you do when that battery starts to go bad? Its a peace of mind thing as well :)

**Great, thank you very much for your reply. It really helped clarify things for me! It’s true that the CGO600 is also an interesting option even without a removable battery, although there is a €400–500 price difference. I think it would still be perfectly sufficient for my daily commute to and from work (24 km round trip).**

    r/ebikes · Hybrid eBike Options

Of those I’d choose the Elops for having a large battery (504Wh) decent motor torque (45Nm) and being an 8 speed for decent feeling cadence on most terrain. The Kuma has a lower torque (30Nm) front hub motor. Front hubs are seen as inferior by a lot of people, maybe google front hubs motor vs rear hub motor and see what you find. I’ve never had one. Our local bike share uses front hub motors as I think they’re cheaper to make and probably easy to repair. The Kuma has a 3 speed IGH which I don’t think would feel great on my hilly commute (kinda depends how well spaced those 3 gears are). Might be ok for your terrain.  The Tenways has a small 252Wh battery. That’s small by today’s standards (like half size) and though still useful I’d avoid it unless you need a light weight bike - it is the lightest of the 3 because of that. If you’re hauling it upstairs maybe that’ll be important?

r/ebikes · Tenways CGO 600 Pro speed limit hack

Well, I found an answer, not the solution - it appears that Tenways make bikes with different displays. The firmware hack is only for SW102 model, and mine is called DM03 - therefore different brand (sw102 has a mode button on the front, DM03 has it on the side). So far I have no ideas if the same controller would be compatible with aftermarket sw102 display, that's around 40€ for a test.

    r/tenwaysebike · Tenways CGO 600 controller

I have a cgo600 from February 2022. The battery compartment and the compartment where the cables go through are separated. Battery and controller slide in/out as a unit. Beware my battery was greased all around from the factory, so it's going to be messy.

yeah I ended up with two specific hex keys for my cgo 600 just for that job so I could do it without having to move one hex key back and forth. there's a carbon gates app you can get to 'tune' the belt to the right tension by playing it like a guitar string and using the app to record the sound. made my finger sore af though, strumming that thing.
