r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. I've made a post about this issue a while ago. It is a disappointment.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. Yeah, multiple times. Didn't work. Also the dealer told me it is just the way tenways coded the assistance, nothing the dealer can do about it.
r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 pro turning off immediately They are placed in front of the steer between the display and the frame and in the frame itself. If the problem isn't the one next to the display I recommend going to the dealer because the rest of the connectors are harder to reach.
r/tenwaysebike · Tenways CG009 worst mistake ever (review) It is very unfortunate, Tenways seems to have grown too fast. Quality caved in rapidly. I never had an issue with the old 600pro, had over 7000km on it without having to visit the dealer. Nowadays cables break constantly, assistance levels are too soft and also my girlfriend who also has a Tenways (800?) had to visit the dealer three times since buying it half a year ago.

r/tenwaysebike · CGO 009- Looking for long term reviews I bought one last may after my classic 600pro was stolen. The cgo009 is okay but nowhere near the 600pro. I do like the more upright position but the PAS sucks in my opinion, in comparison to the 600pro. The boost button doesn’t always work and when it does, it reacts after 3-5 seconds so the whole point of a boost is useless. Also the battery life is a downgrade compared to the 600pro. So is it bad? No, but if I could choose again I would have bought the classic 600pro.
r/tenwaysebike · 600Pro , 009 or Ago-X ? I own the first 600pro and the Cgo009. To be honest, compared to the 600, the support/motor on the cgo009 is just very bad. I also believe the newer 600pro models aren’t that good anymore too. And I think it’s nothing more than a firmware tweak.

r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. I don't know if it's that bad, I also think it's about preference. I do find the old PAS-settings too strong, they are not balanced but now it seems they gone too far to the other side. They should have made PAS1 50% lighter than the old PAS1, move the amount of assistance of the old PAS1 to PAS2 and leave PAS3 the way it was. That's what I would have done, seems more logical to me, or keep the three PAS-modes of the older model and just add two less strong PAS modes like the 800s which has five assist modes. Maybe you could swap the bike with the old version and if not make a deal with Tenways/your dealer, you send them the new display + controller and they send you the old ones. Implementing the controller is a bit of a hassle though (because of the cables).
r/tenwaysebike · 25 km/h now ! Hooray The motor is not the same. The US-version of the Tenways CGO 600 Pro has a better mechanical equipped M080 (less heat, bigger cogs) vs the M070 of the EU. The Mivice M70 shuts down at around 32-33 km/h so you are running that motor at the maximum it's capable of. Anyone can feel that this can't be a very good idea. Also the battery and all other mechanical parts of your bike will be affected to some extent. If the battery of the US-version is the same, it will wear quicker.
r/tenwaysebike · 600 pro leave it charge over night? No never keep it connected. Your Gazelle Bosch (or Shimano) battery might have a better BMS but still, perhaps the condition was even better when you disconnected it. Keeping a battery at 100% when storing stresses the cells and accelerates degradation. Keep it between 40 en 60% and only above when you are going to use it. So charge to 100% and then use the bike. Further it is advised to decouple the charger when charged because of fire hazzard. I also would not charge it overnight because of that. Tenways chargers are not that sofisticated. Better safe than sorry.
r/tenwaysebike · Anyone here around my height and have a Tenways CGO 600 Pro? ? Im 1.77cm / 5'10" and i don't know which frame size to choose. Body measurements differ from person to person (arms, upper body, legs), even if the height is the same. That could be one reason there's so much opinions. Other reason: people take advice to go for size L without trying out M, which could have suited them even better. They then go and need to change the handlebars for a curved one, because the bike is too large. I had a 600 pro size M for a long time and I'm taller than you. Fitted me. I would be very surprised if M is not the right size for you.
r/tenwaysebike · Anyone here around my height and have a Tenways CGO 600 Pro? ? Im 1.77cm / 5'10" and i don't know which frame size to choose. Their website is right, their email advise is probably wrong. I would choose M as the handlebars are further away than most similar bikes with size M outthere (yes there's an adjustable stem, only use that for subtle adjustments, not to try to fit a bike that's too large). L will feel more stetched.
r/tenwaysebike · Loose battery issue with Tenways CGO600 Pro. Anyone else? You may adjust the metal strip on the battery. Unscrew and bend a bit, than place back.
r/tenwaysebike · Is the CGO 600 plus stronger than CGO600 pro? The Mint Blue and Pebble Grey versions of the Pro ordered directly from Tenways also have a battery connected rear light (other colors will follow). There is no older model of the Plus like there is with the Pro (2025 and 2024 and earlier), it's a new model, based on the Pro, with different motor, controller and chain drive in stead of a belt. Maintainance is somewhat higher with a chain. You should quickly wipe the chain after a ride and lube the inside from time to time (every 500 km or so). Also the Shimano Claris is not of very high quality but you might exchange that in the future for a better option when the chain and/or cassette is worn. A belt drive does look sleek and is also quiet when cycling and there's a small difference in weight. The Pro weighs about 18 kg, the Plus about 20 kg. So yes, I think the Plus is the better, more versatile bike of the two with more power. Especially on hills. For pure city use and a few short not too steep hills the Pro works fine.
r/tenwaysebike · How many people here have had problems with their Tenways e-bike? Of course, riding style plays a big role. Higher PAS levels, hard acceleration from traffic lights, and tuning the bike to 32 km/h all increase stress on the motor (and possible overheating controller parts) and battery compared to more gentle riding.
r/tenwaysebike · Tenways ago X Different bikes. X (heavier bike) for more assist hills, 600 pro (lighter) for city use ans less maintenance. Hub motor vs mid is also different riding experience.
r/tenwaysebike · Reviewing my commuter Tenways CGO 600 Pro after 1.5 years 13k kms (8k miles) [XPost] I'm quite a bit larger than you (you mention 176) and I have a M. Unless you want to have a very sporty position or the stem very high up (which is not pretty and rides different) a L is too large for most. I would 100% go for a size M if you are 176.
r/tenwaysebike · 25 km/h now ! Hooray Insane price for those few extra km and shorter lifespan of battery and motor is something to think about.
r/tenwaysebike · Cgo 600 pro battery Some get 55, some 65, some 75 and some 85 km. You have to take temp, weight, hills, headwind, tyre pressure into account. The harder you cycle (motor assisted), the shorter the range. Only a few extra km in speed could make a real difference while cycling for 60 km.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. No unfortunately I have only the firmware of the display (the one directly from Tenways). What I wanted to do is to change the level of assist of PAS1 into PAS2, make PAS1 about 50% of the original 'strenght' and leave PAS3 as it is. Of course adding an extra PAS (with less assist level than PAS1), so having PAS1 to PAS4 (or 5), would even be better, but I think that's 99,9% a no go without being able to also get to the controller. You might want to check or discuss things here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/ebikes/comments/1h460r2/removing\_speed\_limit\_of\_tenways\_cgo600\_and\_cgo600/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ebikes/comments/1h460r2/removing_speed_limit_of_tenways_cgo600_and_cgo600/) Would be really great it this would be possible.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. I think they are in the controller. For the pre 2025 model, the display only sets the levels for as far as I know. I checked out the firmware for hours (with help of Velox findings) and could not get into the PAS levels itself but of course I could be wrong. Speed limit is no problem for the pre 2025 model. That's just changing two hex values. Here's someone who investigated the pre 2025 firmware. Of course the color display would be different: [https://suffix-trie.github.io/](https://suffix-trie.github.io/) Topic: [https://www.reddit.com/r/ebikes/comments/1h460r2/removing\_speed\_limit\_of\_tenways\_cgo600\_and\_cgo600/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ebikes/comments/1h460r2/removing_speed_limit_of_tenways_cgo600_and_cgo600/)
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. The might change this wit a firmware upgrade, so when many e-mail Tenways support, who knows. Or if someone extracts the firmware of the color display, then this 'hacker' may take a look at it: [https://www.reddit.com/r/ebikes/comments/1h460r2/removing\_speed\_limit\_of\_tenways\_cgo600\_and\_cgo600/](https://www.reddit.com/r/ebikes/comments/1h460r2/removing_speed_limit_of_tenways_cgo600_and_cgo600/) I would not go above 28 km/h because that means an attack on the too small M070 motor and wear of the battery (not only faster empty but also faster worn out). In short, the lifespan of your bike is shortened.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. I agree. Speed limit maybe changed with a frimware upgrade of the display but PAS levels seem to be hardcoded in the controller and I think that might be also the case with the new version of the Pro.
r/tenwaysebike · 600 pro leave it charge over night? 'All of these rules'? Don't exaggerate. Just some things to look after. Yes when storing the bike longer I do keep it between 40-60%, I do not store it at 100% for a longer time (specially in the hot sun) and I do not charge overnight. Feel free to do othertwise if you know better (there is a reason why the fire department repeatedly warns not to charge e-bikes indoors at night).

r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Pro, CGO 600 Plus or Fiido C21 I’ve actually had the same comparable dilemma. But as a Dutchy living in the city, hills are nonexistent. But I’ve always had bikes with gears, so the plus seemed the best option for me. But gears break, and they never change the way you want to. I’ve wanted to try the Fiido, but there was something holding me back, let alone the non-removable battery. But the moment I got in the 600 pro is was sold. The acceleration is amazing and feels natural, it feels like a bike and not an e-bike, and it doesn’t make a sound. I’ve bought one 2 days later and all I wanna do now is just ride my bike. My car hasn’t been this stationary in weeks.

r/tenwaysebike · How many people here have had problems with their Tenways e-bike? I generally use PAS level 1, but occasionally go to 2 or 3 if I don't need the extra range. I did contact Tenways to get a new motor controller when I first received the bike, since the new 2025 model initially came with a controller that "slowed down" out at 23 km/h. But this was a previously known issue which customer support was aware of, and they sent it over no questions asked. (I installed it myself, but they would have also covered the costs of a technician installing it). My interaction with their support was very positive, super friendly and very responsive.

r/ebikes · Tenways CGO600 Pro vs Estarli E28.x Yeah it’s a good point - to be honest I was so torn between CGO600 Pro and the E28.X both would have been good options for me, I was just swayed by a slightly more comfortable seating position on the Estarli, and the comments and feel about power on the Tenways. Who knows, maybe it was a better option, but this is my first e bike, I’m sure by the time I’m ready for a new one both brands will have some even better options
r/ebikes · Tenways CGO600 Pro vs Estarli E28.x I don’t remember there being too much resistance with the motor off on the Tenways. I then rest rode the Estarli and it just seemed much nicer, the two gear auto system was really nice, 5 levels of power to choose from that actually seemed different to each other, unlike Tenways 1-2 which seemed borderline useless and only the 3rd PAS I felt. It’s a shame because I love the build and look of the Tenways and a larger brand seems a bit more stable. I’ve gone with an E28.X for now, hopefully it does the job! Maybe if Tenways do a new CGO600 in the future it might be a trade in, but fingers crossed the Estarli does a good job!

r/Netherlands · eBike with on the ground range of > 70km in the Netherlands under €1800 (Tenways CGO600 Pro ?) I wouldn't spend that amount on a Chinese product. Apart from the ethical component, the quality is usually very dubious. I don't know if you have a little stretch in the budget, but for around €2000 you can buy a decent Dutch brand with a Bosch motor and battery. With a good deal maybe even for a little cheaper. I bought a Sparta a-shine with a 400 kWh battery pack for that price.

r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. I also have the 2025 version of the CGO600 Pro and my experience so far: - PAS 0: feels like a singlespeed but someone is constantly braking a little bit. It’s not the weight of the bike but it feels like the motor is slowing you down. - PAS 1: feels like a singlepeed without something slowing you down. At around 20 kph it feels like the bike is actively trying to slow you down again. - PAS 2: this finally feels like an ebike now and it starts actively assisting you. It feels super smooth but it also tries to limit you at 23 kph. You need to put a lot more work into it to reach 25 kph. - PAS 3: only using this to get up hills. It’s just more assist than level 2 but still tries to keep you at around 23 kph. It’s possible that the new displays are a bit off and I should double check the speed with a GPS.
r/tenwaysebike · Cgo 600 pro vs 009 ? Help me decide I made this decision just yesterday and I went with the 600 Pro. I personally prefer the looks and the lower weight is great. I bought a different handlebar for more comfort though, the pre-installed flatbar did feel uncomfortable pretty fast.

r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Pro vs CGO 009 I used 600 pro for almost a year now and bought a CGO009. Both are great and ride smooth but are completely different. 600 rides much lighter and seems more efficient on the battery. It also has a much “sportier” riding position. The support is butter smooth and you can easily adjust your speed by giving a bit more or less force on the torque sensor. The 009 feels much heavier, has a more upright riding position and eats battery % for breakfast 😁 it is silent and support smoothness is similar to the 600 pro. I installed the carrier rack of the 009 on my 600 pro and to be honest I personally prefer the 600 pro. I have the iapp iSpeed module installed to remove the 25km/h limit and after riding it for 1000+ KM still think It is a great bike!

r/tenwaysebike · How many people here have had problems with their Tenways e-bike? my cgo600pro has almost 4500km with speed unlock and the only problem are the broken spokes. well, also the broken screen, after i crashed, but that's on me, lol.
r/ebikes · For those doing a 10 km commute each way, how are your drivetrains holding up? I'm curious about the maintenance differences between heavy-duty mid-drives (like a Giant AnyTour) versus sleek rear hubs (like Cowboy or Tenways) over thousands of kilometers. I have tenways cgo600pro with 6500km and I haven't done any maintenance on it lmao. rode it even during snows and rains. runs perfectly, and afaik it's not even advisable to do anything with it, since you can't like grease anything lol.
r/ebikes · Vanmoof S5 vs Tenways CGO 600 Pro my cgo600pro is 3 years old with 4500km and it still has a range of \~40km with a food delivery bag and a speed unlock at 1 pas(to be honest the pas difference is pretty weak, the P3 barely feels only like 20% better than pas 3, but that might be because of my hacked firmware), so i think a brand new one in regular conditions with the 25kph lock would give you easily over 50-55, but the raw battery itself is 360wh vs 570wh so keep that in mind and dont expect miraclesl also tenways is probably going to feel much lower class than a vanmoof, it feels like a product of chinesium still, not a premium device.

I feel comfortable with the choice made and did test ride sizes M and L. I strongly encourage you to test it with a bike shop near you if you can. A friend of mine is 180cm and went with the M version. It is important to test and verify as the lenght of your legs is decisive
r/tenwaysebike · Well, shit. Tenways CGO 600 Pro Classic edition (the one with good assistance) is gone forever. Okay so I did have some requirements for mit tires, they hat to be fitted with a reflective stripe and I personally love the brown look of the natural rubber. I also wanted to have bigger tires and in the end I bought Schwalbe G-One Allround TLR in 57-700. I did run into a problem with the fit in the rear, as the standard fender is not wide enough. As of now I was not able to find a fitting alternative, but in the summer I will remove the fenders anyway, just like the past three years. I also got new tubes, also from Schwalbe, the Air Plus AV 19-AP

r/ebikes · Reviewing my commuter Tenways CGO 600 Pro after 1.5 years 13k kms (8k miles) [XPost with /r/bikecommuting] Yeah I'd agree that this formula of bike (single speed, belt drive, rear motor) is a great combination. Keeps things simple, lightweight and cheap (or at least cheaper than e.g. a mid drive motor and gears). For everyday ride around a town or city., simplicity and reliability is probably more important than e.g. hill climbing performance. I feel like the only way it could be made even simpler would be to support regenerative braking. Then you could get rid of all the hardware related to the rear disc brake, and obviously also save on having to replace brake pads in the long run. I suppose it must not be simple to implement regen if it's not a direct drive motor. But it feels like it should be possible if a motor was designed with this intention from the outset (e.g. I've seen people get regen working with this type of motor by locking the clutch, perhaps it would be possible to implement a clutch that can engage and disengage in response to an electrical signal).
r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Pro, CGO 600 Plus or Fiido C21 The bike has a torque sensor so the assistance comes in quickly. For me it having a responsive motor means I don't really wish it had gears.
r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Pro, CGO 600 Plus or Fiido C21 I think if you live is a fairly flat city then the Pro makes the most sense. The belt drive is so quiet and means you'll never get oil stains on your clothes. Yes if the battery depletes fully and you encounter a hill, you'll be in trouble, but I think the answer to that is just to try to keep the battery topped up before you set off in the morning. > Also, if I'm going down from a hill, I don't have to pedal like crazy at 35km/h You don't have to pedal at all going downhill, all these bikes have a freewheel mechanism. Surely it's better to just just coast and let gravity do the work, even if you happen to be riding a bike with loads of gears.
r/tenwaysebike · Custom front light for 600 Pro / 009 Nice. I am not a big fan of the trend towards building lights into frames, means if you fit any kind of front rack / carrier on the bike it ends up being blocked. Plus as you've shown, it really complicates things if you want or need to replace the light for some reason. If the light was just mounted on the handlebars this would've been an incredibly simple swap. I get that it looks a bit sleeker to have a light built in, but all the drawbacks don't seem worth it.
r/tenwaysebike · Question about the CGO 600 Pro and Plus The single speed models will be horrible to ride without assistance from a standing start. Pushing past the 25 km/h limit is okay once the motor has already got you up to speed though. If you want to go on long rides and are concerned about rationing the battery, maybe the model with gears would be best for you.
r/tenwaysebike · CGO-600 New Edition It is quite a "sporty" bike, getting towards the kind of geometry that road bikes have (at least, beginner or touring oriented models). If you've tried a bike like that before and found it comfortable, you will be fine. Otherwise it will take some getting used to. If you want a more relaxed riding position then there are definitely better choices, e.g. the Pro model, particularly given it comes in more sizes. As for why you would want a bike like this, I find it is better than a more upright position would be if you are trying to push past the 25kph motor cutoff point.

r/tenwaysebike · Anyone here around my height and have a Tenways CGO 600 Pro? ? Im 1.77cm / 5'10" and i don't know which frame size to choose. I'm 183cm and recently bought a M because I got a really (really!) good deal on it lightly used. I was apprehensive at first but after reading through some reviews and Reddit threads, some of the same things mentioned here came to my attention and I decided to go for it. Weather has prevented me from getting to ride it much but my testing has led me to believe I made the right decision. I didn't find it too small. Can't make any guarantees for you of course, but I think at your height the M would be fine and less likely to be too small than the large would be to be too big.

r/tenwaysebike · Reviewing my commuter Tenways CGO 600 Pro after 1.5 years 13k kms (8k miles) [XPost] I do, my inseam is 81 cm. I think the reason that people recommend the M is because you would be riding in a kind of sport bike position, and that's what people are used to i guess, though i myself did not find it comfortable at all and would rather want a more straight position, which the L gave me. Returning the bike back wasn't much of a hassle, they have 14 day period in which you can send the bike back although if it doesn't have a defect you have to pay shipping prices (I avoided this by just complaining about how the sizes didn't match with the one in the store).
r/tenwaysebike · Reviewing my commuter Tenways CGO 600 Pro after 1.5 years 13k kms (8k miles) [XPost] Yeah i would really reccomend the L, the website says the M is perfect for your size but that's just not true. You would be riding in a very bent over position. I myself got the L and found it perfect, if it was a bit smaller it would be a bit uncomfortable. Still rideable just less comfortable

r/tenwaysebike · Anyone here around my height and have a Tenways CGO 600 Pro? ? Im 1.77cm / 5'10" and i don't know which frame size to choose. it's really impossible to say, we don't know your reach. i'm 6' tall but i have stubby-ass arms, the L is right at the line of being too big for me. also 32" inseam though. yes my torso is weirdly long. go the M tbh
r/tenwaysebike · CGO600 Pro or AGO X? as a former vanmoofer, i like the simpler bike. less to go wrong, easier to fix. coming from a vanmoof s3, i'm very happy with the cg600 pro.
r/tenwaysebike · Tenways CGO600 New Edition yeah i just saw that one, silly cost saving measure. after owning a vanmoof i require a removable battery now.
r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Pro, CGO 600 Plus or Fiido C21 coming from a vanmoof owner: do not get a bike with a built in battery. just don't do it. it's such a pain in the ass if you get stuck in a situation where you need to charge but it's not easy or you can't bring your bike to an outlet. I got the Pro with the belt drive. I live in NYC and actually go up a very steep hill as part of my commute, and it's great. big fan. though when it is cold (below 40F) or windy it's like the bike isn't pedal assist at all, my vanmoof wasn't like that :( i'm of the opinion that gears are generally overrated unless you're conquering some huge hills like san francisco. i think the typical city climb is fine with a single speed, electric or not.
r/tenwaysebike · Thoughts on CGO 800S and Its Maintenance Cycle? i've had belt and chain drive bikes. this is really not a very maintence intensive part of any bike. i did 3,000 miles on a vanmoof and replaced the chain like once. lubed it like once a season lol. and it was fine. with ebikes, the bigger concern is the electronics. you want to make sure there is a shop near you that is either in their service network, or willing to work on the bike. you have such a short commute, why not a cheaper bike like the cg600 pro?

I am 174 cm, I tried both the M and the L and I preferred the M. Because the L is a bit taller, the middle bar is more straight and therefore further away from the steer. r/tenwaysebike · How many people here have had problems with their Tenways e-bike? I'm just about to roll over 17 000 kms over 2 years of riding on my CGO600 Pro. Maintenance wise I change brake pads (10 minutes and $20 parts) every few thousand kms and pump up the tires. I balanced the spoke tension once around 10 000kms (30 minutes). Last week the belt snapped. I replaced it with a new one (30 minutes and $50 parts). I estimate that over 17 000 kms total maintenance cost was about $150 to $200 - good enough for me. The pedal creaked at around 2 000kms, 9 000kms and 15 000kms but the creak went away within a week (\~200kms) on its own (I wonder if it's weather related). I wrote a couple blog posts about my experience at 5 000kms and 10 000kms. I'll do another one at 20 000kms. For me, this is a very reliable bike.
r/tenwaysebike · Reviewing my commuter Tenways CGO 600 Pro after 1.5 years 13k kms (8k miles) [XPost] 170 cm tall. Chose medium size. Though I find it a bit small. It works for me, but if I could, I would try a large.
r/tenwaysebike · Removing rear wheel CGO 600 Pro Good point. This would mean that you have to install the tire and tube while the wheel is on the bike which is... tricky. I think the break in the frame is if you want to replace the belt.

r/tenwaysebike · CGO 600 Plus With minimal assist, 50km like those two trips are doable on one charge. I have the Pro, I think... If you are out of battery, or disable it, you can still cycle perfectly fine, but it drags a bit. Like you are losing 15% of your input to a dragging chain or something. Can still get home from work over 10km, but especially at lower speeds, sub 18KM/h it really sucks the fun out of it. Once you hit 24~27KM/h which seems to be my normal cruising speed on its belt gear, it feels a bit better. The distance estimate it gives you seems accurate on well inflated tires and a new or cared for battery. So far, on the 100km range with the Pro, I've been doing 3 days, 65KM, then charge it to 75~80% again, and rode it down to the 20~30s again. Going up hill, against the wind, no assist? Nahhhh get a normal bike instead then. Always topped off? Perfectly fine.

r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. I just got the old CGO600 and after ridden multiple ebikes, I also believe it is one with the strongest support (if not the strongest I have ever ridden). For reference I have a VanMoof X3 and its highest assistance level is more or less the level 2 of the CGO600. It is not particularly a bad thing if they reduce it for the new model as it saves energy, but indeed if they went too far it might be too much. It is a matter of time before someone finds a way to adjust speed, PAS levels, etc, though.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. The display doesn't set the PAS levels, that's most likely true, but that doesn't mean you cannot set them by directly writing in the motor controller. Do you have the firmware of the motor controller? I got some samples yesterday with my logic analyser, I will check to verify if there is no PAS level communication happening between the display and motor controller.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. I am pretty sure they are not hard coded as they use a universal controller. The only question is where are these settings in the controller (not in the display). If anyone knows how I can get one of those I can dive into that.

r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. You’ll probably receive the newer model, the older models, at least in the Netherlands where I live they are not manufactured anymore it seems. I’ve been to two stores here who sell this brand and they only had older models who weren’t sold yet and available in the store, but if they ordered new bikes they were always the newer version. I assume if you order online now you’ll most likely get the newer version with color display and integrated backlight. And the nerfed motor.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. Yep. And it’s annoying for new buyers because everyone looks on reviews on YouTube and everybody says it’s a very good bike but they’re talking about the previous model that actually worked like how it was supposed to. The new version feels like a complete scam.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. The older version feels very smooth at lvl 1 even, gives you enough battery and enough assist to smoothly keep the bike at 25-26 km/h.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. Yeah they completely nerfed the bike in the newer model. Only hope is for something like an iapp in the future, otherwise I’ll probably sell it in a few months.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. That’s another thing that doesn’t work on the new version unfortunately and there doesn’t seem to be any updates for it in the foreseeable future
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. I’ve done it once and noticed no change, probably because the bike was already calibrated the way Tenways intended
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. They released an updated version with a color display instead of monochrome, they added an integrated backlight and some cables are better hidden on the bike. Overall the bike does look better and more finished but they completely fucked the pedal assist.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. They will never unlock the speed limit where I live, in Europe all e-bikes are capped at 25 by default because of the law. I just want to them to make this bike actually ride at 25 bcs atm you can’t even do that.
r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. How old are you? 10? Read the post, it’s not entirely about the speed limit. Although the new model does feel like it’s limited to 23km/h, not even 25.

r/tenwaysebike · Cgo 600 pro is very hard to ride with zero assist I'm happy so far. pros: the cgo600 pro weights noticeably less, which makes carrying it upstairs into my appartment way less annoying. It uses standard bike parts which makes modifications easier: I switched a few parts for more weight reduction and usability improvements and am planning to do a few more next year, while I left the S2 mostly stock except tire change and belt drive upgrade. drive chain feels snappier: while the s2 felt basically like a train which was a great ride once up to speed, the tenways bike feels sporty and zipping around is more fun. cons: I miss the s2s smart functions more then anticipated. I miss kicking the kick lock when jumping into a shop for 5min, knowing the alarm goes off if someone tries to carry it away. now I have to find something to chain the bike to and unchain it afterwards. or turning on the lights with the tenways is 2 button presses while it was zero with the vanmoof.

r/ebikes · Tenways help to choose As a very tall rider at 6'6", sizing is your very first hurdle; I actually own a Tenways CGO600 Pro (in the XL frame) and absolutely love the sleek stealth aesthetic, but I have to be brutally honest with you about the physics of a 100kg rider fighting a 30km/h headwind on a single-speed. The 45Nm hub motor is butter-smooth on flat ground, but when you hit those massive headwinds you will definitely have to push hard on the pedals, and running the bike exclusively on Max Assist means that 374Wh battery is going to completely die right around the 35km mark, cutting your 40km round-trip dangerously close. Because you absolutely hate fighting the wind and need that guaranteed range, you really should compromise on the minimalist aesthetic and go with the Tenways AGO X; its mid-drive motor gives you almost double the torque (80Nm) along with actual gears to completely crush those headwinds, plus a massive 504Wh battery that completely eliminates range anxiety. I threw together a filtered list showing the exact spec differences between the AGO and CGO lines right here: [https://www.ebikesfinder.com/?sort=ebikefinder\_score&brands=Tenways](https://www.ebikesfinder.com/?sort=ebikefinder_score&brands=Tenways) but for your specific weight and wind situation, the AGO X is going to be infinitely more comfortable!

r/tenwaysebike · Well, shit. Tenways CGO 600 Pro Classic edition (the one with good assistance) is gone forever. I bought mine ”new edition” in May last year and got a new controller with the updated firmware that I switched it myself after about two months (very straight forward procedure). The new one doesn’t have weaker assistance, but the difference between 1-2-3 is more noticeable with the previous controller. The new one has more assistance with 1 and 2 and therefore barely any difference between them.
r/tenwaysebike · 25 km/h now ! Hooray Yes, the difference between the different levels aren’t that noticeable now as it was before.
r/tenwaysebike · 25 km/h now ! Hooray PAS level 1 with the new controller has about the same battery usage as the previous controller when in level 3. I compare it to my ride to work that is 5 km that I used with level 3 with the previous controller and now with the new controller I use level 1 instead. According to the app the usage is the same.
r/tenwaysebike · 25 km/h now ! Hooray I switched my controller yesterday. I was actually satisfied with how the bike was before, and didn’t really have an experience with the ”classic” bike except trying it inside a bike shop before. But what a difference it was compared to the old controller. PAS level 1 is way stronger than before! Before I used mostly 2 or 3. And now 1 will suffice for most of time. And now the speed actually says 25 km/h instead of 23-24. Removing the controller was pretty straightforward. The hardest part was to get everything back together. Fitting the controller and all the cables wasn’t the problem but rather getting the lock and that plastic part back together almost drove me nuts! 🙈 Remember to get at least two zip ties when doing this since you have to remove two of them when removing the controller.

r/tenwaysebike · How many people here have had problems with their Tenways e-bike? My son and I have borth a Tenways 600 pro for two years. I am a regular biker, always step one,, riding in the town for shopping, going to the dunes, easy riding. For the night I take it in the house. No problems so far. My son (15 y) use it for school, 50 km a day, rides to friends, to town, pushing friends with no ebike, not very carefully with it. Fallen a few times. The bike is always outside, also the nights and in the rain (or snow). Always riding at step 3 (max). Reartires changed, after few months they were bad again. Now Schwalbe Marathon tires, no problem since. Battery not working three months ago, changed by warranty (took 5 days), good service. Frontbrakeshoes changed, repaired after appointment in one day and now the rear brakes are bad. I've made an appointment for Wednesday with the dealer here in town. So we are very happy with them and very happy with the service so far.

r/ebikes · Do you have any experience with the Tenways CGO 600? Is it recommended? Depends how much you value it, i live in an apartment and always love charging it everywhere i can, i even bought a second battery to be able to hot swap them (or bring it along to bike around 120km radius) and helps decrease battery degradation. As you can’t change it on the older non pro model. What will you do when that battery starts to go bad? Its a peace of mind thing as well :)
r/ebikes · Do you have any experience with the Tenways CGO 600? Is it recommended? No worries! Always good to ask. Regarding the battery, its easy to take out. Just turn the key off the lock and it flips out. Easy peasy. The contacts are exposed, but there are option to cover it via 3d printing for example or other kinds of covers that goes over the full compartment instead of just the contacts itself
r/ebikes · Do you have any experience with the Tenways CGO 600? Is it recommended? I was there last year, amazing city! So, I live in the Netherlands which doesn't have many hills. But it takes on bridges with ease. I do have strong legs, so maybe that helps with biking. But the Tenways handles it easily :)

r/tenwaysebike · Tenways cgo 600 pro buzzing Sound The lack of rear wheel spinning freely sounds like it's rubbing on the rear mudguard which is a common issue with the CGO600 Pro after assembly out of the box, you can fix that by loosening the bolts where the mudguard attaches to the rear part of the frame and pulling the mudguard out a bit, then retightening the bolts If you can get a reproduction video then that would be helpful to help diagnose the issue, but for any ease of mind, it is normal for ebikes to have a hum when the motor is spinning.

r/tenwaysebike · Loose battery issue with Tenways CGO600 Pro. Anyone else? I just realized that I never replied to this. In case people come across this post in the future, here’s the answer. My Tenways CGO 600 Pro is from one of the last batches, so it’s the version with the rear light mounted on the rear fender. The clip that was supposed to hold the battery wasn’t properly designed. This was replaced free of charge by an official Tenways dealer with a different, improved part.

r/ebikes · Trek FX +2 or Tenways CGO600Pro Normally I would say the older legacy brand Trek, but in this case I might be more tempted by the Tenways - simply for the choice of colours and the larger battery. As long as I loved it on a test ride and Google didn't bring up too many horror stories. It seems like you're looking for a very light stealthy ebike. Both those could work. To get the look you're going for they both have smaller hub motors (250W with around 40Nm of torque) and batteries (360Wh and 250Wh) - which can be perfectly fine for your needs. If you happen to have very steep hills or you might end up going on much longer rides or want to carry more cargo eventually these bikes may not be the right ones long term. Just something to consider. But based on your description they should be fine.

r/tenwaysebike · Cgo 600 pro is very hard to ride with zero assist Can you say more, and can anyone else concur? I tested it today and quite frankly it was unreasonably hard to pedal with motor off. This is the reason why I am here searching about what's going on. To me the drag was when the display was On and PAS 0. So for example and would be on PAS 3, then move to PAS 2, then PAS 1, and finally 0 (motor off but display on) and the drag was unacceptable.

r/ebikes · Reviewing my commuter Tenways CGO 600 Pro after 1.5 years 13k kms (8k miles) [XPost with /r/bikecommuting] Awesome. I have the same bike but much less miles on it. I had very similar purchasing criteria with one more to add: easily carry it a flight of stairs. So far I’ve changed the grip , hoping a thicker grip will reduce the numbness in my hand caused from the vibration of the handle bar. But that didn’t really work so now I wear a pair of fingerless gloves on longer rides. Great bike!

r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. hey u/Active-Usual-6000 I wrote tenways support via ticket in the app. Respond I got was unfortunately not what you received: "Our controllers are generally set to start reducing output around 23 km/h (this is a calculated value). If the display on your controller is showing only 23 km/h regardless of the actual speed, this might indicate an issue with the speed limit setting. If you are experiencing a reduction in assistance at around 23 km/h, this is normal behavior based on the current output logic settings." You got any updates on that?

r/tenwaysebike · Cgo 600 pro is very hard to ride with zero assist Hi. Late to the conversation but I saw this review prior to buying this bike and I wanted to chime in. I was able to pinpoint why this drag happens: when the bike is in assist mode and is turned off, the motor remains in that mode. If not receiving power (i.e. off), this actually creates resistance that actually causes the bike to be difficult to pedal. So, to avoid this, simply make sure that the bike is in Assist Mode 0 when it is turned off.

r/ebikes · Tenways CGO 600 Pro speed limit hack The range is so individual because of so many factors. I am around 90 kg and i also carry a bag with me when cycling to work. If I cycle around 30 km/h I think the range is around 50 km. In my opinión you don't pedal like crazy, it's a decent frequency and not that fast. I don't know if it will perform better on hillls, because i live in a flat country without hillls. But I don't expect it will perform better due to the adjustment. It only gives you more assistence with higher speed.
r/ebikes · Tenways CGO 600 Pro speed limit hack Don't worry, you won't look like a kiddo trying to keep up with dads car. They've made significant improvements, including a rear fender light that also functions as a brake light—an awesome addition! Whether you need the gears or not, they're there for you—perfect for when a hill suddenly appears in front of you. And with the motor now 5Nm stronger, tackling inclines won’t be an issue. The 600 Pro is also impressive—lighter, super quiet, and best of all, it requires no drivetrain maintenance, which is a huge plus. r/tenwaysebike · Cgo 600 pro is very hard to ride with zero assist I have this bike as well and bought it 10 weeks ago. I have put on about 600 miles. When I first bought it I could easily pedal with NO assistance to 15 mph and to 20mph with good effort. Then something happened and I could not get to 10mph without great effort. I had to bring it to the mechanic and he found that the fender was rubbing, which made me feel a bit silly. That seem to solve the problem but I was suspicious there was something else going on inside the hub, but as I said the problem had gone away. Then this week I am having the same issue again, but this time I have verified that the fender is not causing issues and again it is taking much more effort to get to 15 mph with no assistance.

My 800 connector is different but if you undo those screwes it should slide up and then you put the tag in there with some duct tape. Otherwise there should be a cover at the bottom of the tube that might be easier to remove. Option 2 buy an airtag rear reflector, thieves don't tend to go for reflectors since all bikes have them

r/tenwaysebike · Cgo 600 pro is very hard to ride with zero assist Got my CGO600 Pro today I find it way to easy to ride with Assist Off. Very low resistance, meaning high cadence, I don't like it. Because of that, the speed it quite low, around max. 18-19km/h (11-12 mph). But also on all assist levels the resistance is too low. It feels bad and looks dumb pedelling so fast

r/tenwaysebike · The newer version of the 600 pro is a complete scam that nobody should buy. Broo hahahaha, it’s literally illegal for it to go any higher, it’s called a speed wall for a reason. It’s there to prevent it being a “speed pedelec” which falls under other laws. Do some research for God’s sake.

r/tenwaysebike · 25 km/h now !
