    r/ebikes · Narrowing down Ride1Up Prodigy V2, Vvolt Centauri 2, Alpha 2, and Tenways AGO T

While the AGO T is a nice bike, you will probably struggle a bit to be as comfortable on it as it is a larger bike both in terms of weight but more importantly how far the seat can go down. The reach can be adjusted to some extent with the adjustable stem, but does have largish bars. We used to sell them and often found people who were on the shorter side of their recommendations were often put off by the sizing. It also feels a bit bulky, though if you've had experience on other larger 2 wheelers (other ebikes, mopeds, etc) and you have longish legs then you could make it work. However, if you're the type that likes the seat slammed to be closer to the ground to fit both feet comfortably then it probably won't work well. We have also sold Vvolt and the bikes are fine with a decent combination of weight and power for what they are, but you'll definitely need to decide the main 2 factors for ebike preferences first between the mid drive / rear hub and cadence / torque sensors. These have very different feels and most people tend to have clear preferences between them. The Alpha IIs are nice because they're lightweight, but certainly the weakest of the hill climbers listed between the single speed and gearing. Depends on if you want to get up hills eventually or charge up hills.

r/tenwaysebike · How many people here have had problems with their Tenways e-bike?

I own a Ago T (bought it somewhere in 2023) and I have regrets from time to time. The matt black paint is quite bad, had issues twice with the belt and the crank, apparently I was the second case in the Netherlands where they saw this issue and twice it had been replaced offcourse, but both times it lasted 4-5 weeks both before the bike was fixed again. For the nearly 2800 euro’s I could have bought a good old Gazelle or something. Other than that, the bike is good. Rides really smooth, quiet and the suspension is really good. So yeah, dno

    r/tenwaysebike · Cgo 800 carrier

Had the same on the AgoT (max load 25kg), only one child seat, the 2025 model of the Urban Iki is small enough to be mounted on the original carrier.

    r/tenwaysebike · New to E-bikes; AGO T or X?

I’m 1.91 and own a AgoT, fits fine, but you’ll lean forward. Standard saddle is rock hard though, havent replaced it yet since im only doing 12km a day but I would if it was further. Only really big letdown on the AgoT is the Matt black paint. Im one year in and I have a lot of ugly spots already. Received a paint touchup pen from Tenways but its still noticeable. Technically the bike is amazing. I can do around 70 km on one charge.

    r/ebikes · Narrowing down Ride1Up Prodigy V2, Vvolt Centauri 2, Alpha 2, and Tenways AGO T

Thanks for your detailed reply. I was able to test the AGO T and me being 5'4" was a slight struggle getting on the seat. It was a smooth ride and was convinced by the end it was the bike for me, but unfortunately the neighborhood I tested it in had no hills. I didn't realize until more research yesterday that it's one of the heaviest ebikes out there. As for the Vvolts, [electricbikereport.com](https://electricbikereport.com/vvolt-alpha-2-review/) noted that their cadence sensors actually performed better than expected in distance and time tests. I've only tested bikes with torque sensors, so I don't know what to expect.

    r/tenwaysebike · Can I Ride the Tenways Ago T Comfortably at 1.57m?

My wife has the Ago T and can ride it quite comfortly with 152 cm. She has to reach a bit for the handlebar but it is working out good enough. Sadly its not that easy to change the handlebar because of the attached Computer / control unit so keep this in mind. So it should definitely ne doable for you but there may be better suited bikes for you.

    r/tenwaysebike · Tenways AGO T - a child seat

Hi there, I have three Thule mounted in the front. Kid loves it. Knees have to be turned outwards a bit. But you don't really notice. But I'm only 1,80.

    r/tenwaysebike · Tenways AGO T - a child seat

    1. No, your knees will not hit the child seat since you will be rotating your legs a bit outward to prevent this from happening. This will happen on almost any bike with a front seat. The seat itself has a fixed position, adjusting the stem will not change it.  2. No experience with child seats on this bike, but the rear end is definitely wobbly even without any weight on it. Tenways has additional struts that are supposed increase rear end stability, but they don't do much and look somewhat crappy 3. Rear kickstand will have a hard time managing the weight. Loading your kids will be a pain in the ass and cause the bike to tilt or pivot on the kickstand. Kickstand will come loose and break eventually. Bikes with a mid motor are not suited to fit a double kickstand. 4. Dunno Are there any other options on your list?

    r/tenwaysebike · Ago T presta valves

Update, it seems like Tenways doesn’t put inner tubes with replacable cores in the NL version of the AGO T which is a bit meh, would it have costed them that much more to put better inner tubes on?

    r/tenwaysebike · Child seat for ago T ?

Thanks for the suggestion. Not too comfortable with the front seat option. And im in EU, so plenty of options for dedicated bike child seats. Just that none of them will work because of the slim carrier and the square frame. So I have unfortunately decided to skip tenways. Which is a shame. But I'm sure they are already working on this aspect for future versions.

r/tenwaysebike · Bought a secondhand SpeedBox for my Tenways Ago T – should work, but curious if anyone’s tried it?

in my case I thought it was worth it. I thought the support up to 25 km was too little. But it is a lot of work to separate the right cables. If the cables were in the engine compartment, it would have been done within 10 minutes, but unfortunately the cables are in the frame. I wanted to post a picture of my frame with cables here, but that is not possible, I do not know how to add a picture. My spefbox 3.1 is partly connected in the frame and partly connected in the engine compartment. I was able to pull a cable back to the engine compartment and a cable remained in the frame. On the speed chip you see 4 cables, you are going to connect them to 2 disconnected cables from the engine. these 2 engine cables then become 4 cables that go on the chip. Be extremely careful not to damage the very thin cables that you will also encounter. The cables that are going to be connected to the spefbox are thicker and sturdier.

r/tenwaysebike · Just got a Tenways AGO T with Front Carrier

I would highly recommend it. The front carrier is connected to the frame and not the steering ha dle which makes it very sturdy. I pack groceries and all kinds of stuff in it and dont even notice it. However, get a cargo net for it since it’s quite shallow.

r/tenwaysebike · Just got a Tenways AGO T with Front Carrier

So it’s been a couple of months and I use it most weekdays. I see about the same range. On the specs it says 100 km but in reality I see 50-60 km. I talked to the store and they sais this is what to expect. I even tried lowering the assistance to 2-3 instead of always max out but it barely makes any differnce. The other day it was -5 degress C outside and I saw even less range, morw like 40-50 km (I store and charge the battery inside). It also sounds like the belt drive might be causing this somewhat since with a normal chain you might be able to help more so the motor don’t need to assist as much.
