What really matters, is HEPA CADR at an acceptable indoor decibel level (40db or less). Energy consumption at that level also has secondary importance, as running it 24/7 will cost you a fair amount over the lifetime of the appliance. You need an oversized DC fan/blower (sound increases exponentially with fan tip speed), a high quality cabinet, and deep HEPA filters. Those pc fan + low MERV filter kits will do basically nothing. I think the Coway Pro X is the best large room filter, Levoit 600 best medium, Coway 150 best small. Coway also has stuff that competes in the medium range, but I think it’s overpriced. Remember that you won’t actually run the filter at the advertised CADR rate, because the noise will be excessive, so you have to base the actual CFM on the lowest 2 levels (usually). The only thing that gets used on an air filter is the motor (aside from the filters), so make sure it’s a fully sealed DC motor, and it should last a very long time.

I've been using this purifier since 2 years and it's amazing. I can notice the difference especially during winters. You'll need to replace the filters in about an year or so. The led will start glowing once the replacement is due.

I have a Coway 150 AP and I live in Pune, where wether is also getting wors,e but not like Delhi. Where I live in Pune, here lot of consctruction is going on so whenever I go for a walk I can feel the difference in the Air outside and the air inside the home. I can take deep breath indoors but not outdoors. Outdoor air feels a little heavy and my nose feels the difference. Whether Companies are looting customer or not but having one Air purifier for the bedroom is not a luxury anymore. We are so insensitive living in such poor air that once you buy AP you would not feel much of a difference but with the time when your nose & lungs feel the air then only you will realize that you made a good investement on AP.

I personally don't care about any of the things provided by mi. In my research found coway to be the most efficient, fast and largest coverage area and easy filter availability.

I tossed up with the Vital 200S and Coway Airmega 150. Went with Coway. Great brand reputation and True HEPA.

ludiigracicr/AirPurifiers · Thinking about buying Levoit Vital 100S, some question →2025-12-12
I bought Vital 100S for 160€ and 2 days after Coway Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH is on sale for 168€. Now im frustrated and temped to buy it :D Mine had no smell, its plug and play. And it works decent. On setting 2 its great for sleeping and i left it run all night. Maybe its placebo but i slept really good. And also prefilter it already a little bit dusty. Its working but you always need to go above your budget for air purifiers. So you can set it to lowest fan and still have all the benefits. Just my 2 cents

Been running the Coway Airmega 150 in the bedroom for a while now - my dog sleeps in there so pet dander and odour was the real test. Handles both well. Honest note on coverage claims - Coway advertises 73m² but real world is closer to 22m². Fine for a bedroom, just dont expect it to cover an open plan living area. No ioniser, no ozone, True HEPA, reasonable filter costs. For a bedroom unit its hard to beat at the price point. IQAir is genuinely better filtration but youre paying a significant premium. Unless someone in the house has a specific respiratory condition that warrants it, Coway covers what most people need. Airmega 150 is in high demand, thus goes out of stock frequently As alternative, you can look at Cuckoo Respure. Buy spare filer early itself and you are sorted for 15-18k hours of operation

Wow, I didn't know this, I thought it was impregnated carbon filter like the Coway. Then will get another Mi4 if the price reduces. I used to wonder why I am getting dehydrated at night, now I understand it's because of the pelleted carbon which absorbs moisture as well. Its not a bad thing, it only happens with the AC is on, it's just how it is. You should get the pellet based carbon version + Hepa combo from FineHepa for your Coway Airmega 150, it's really good, I am using since 1 year. I got a pack of 3 pairs for 4k which is a good deal.
