r/RobotVacuums · Best robot vacuum to buy right now in 2026? Hey. I actually review robots for work. I think if you've got unlimited budget, the good news is that while this current sale is on, you don't need to spend more than $1000. My opinions tend to differ from vacuum wars, just a dad, etc (not much, but enough to notice) but I think its because I test them in my home (which has a dog and occasionally chickens, and dirt and mulch that comes in through the dog door, and lots of different floor types). So there's real obstacles, real debris, real people living alongside them. I think I also understand the sentiment, which is: I'll spend ANY amount if it just does the damn job. So lets talk from that perspective. Its good to set realistic expectations. Robots are good at getting the middle of the floor, and they're getting better at edges and corners, but they're not really great at it yet. if you have a sudden spill of say- water, a robot can handle that. Dog pee, etc. But something sticky? Much harder. Mud? Doable, but harder. There are a select number of robots at the top for you, I'm going to talk through them. I talk about them more here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1s3qr8l/amazon\_big\_spring\_sale\_recommendations\_by\_price/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1s3qr8l/amazon_big_spring_sale_recommendations_by_price/) but, FWIW, those Roombas suck. Don't get 'em. The brand may get dramatically better soon because of a recent purchase, but that'll take time. The way I see it, your choices are the Dreame x60, Saros 20, 3i S10 Ultra, Eureka J15 Max Ultra. I'm not including some models you hear a lot about like the Narwal Flow because its an ok vacuum w a better mop. You need a vacuum forward model. (Let go of the "only a vacuum!" bit because there really aren't many, they're usually budget models). If you don't want to use the mop, no problem- don't. The Dreame x60 and Saros 20 are somewhat interchangeable here. Good for large homes, great nav, can climb thresholds, and have good obstacle avoidance. Both are great at microdebris, ok at medium debris, will get stuck on large debris. They both are going to handle hair ok.... I'd say the Saros will do marginally better. But if I had to choose, specifically for dog hair, I'd go with the Eureka J15 or the 3i. The Eu reka J15 line doesn't get talked about a lot (except by me, apparently), but its fantastic as a vacuum. They did a great job translating old upright vacuum power to robot. There's a razor that cuts the hair on the robot, so it doesn't clog. I'm a real fan. But... the J15 isn't slim like the x60 and Saros 20. its not a super sexy work of art tower like the x60 or Saros 20. It looks like a vacuum. Its controversial, tho I don't know why, but if I could marry a robot vacuum, it'd be the 3i S10. it sucks up EVERYTHING. Its the best vacuum I've ever seen on a robot- largely due to the giant sweeps on the front, moving in opposite directions, pushing everything towards the roller. But again, this is not a pretty tower, and the robot isn't slim. Hope this helps.

r/Roborock · How do you guys handle multiple floors? I once did that, but stopped too early apparently, so that it thought the docking has not finished. After carrying it upstairs, it "finished undocking", and suddenly showed a second docking station in the middle of my bath room, and avoided that area completely while cleaning. :-( Had to remap the floor to have this non-existent dock removed.

r/Roborock · How do you guys handle multiple floors? I have the same situation and it sucks because the advertising is that it can work on multiple levels. I think they don’t really want it to work so they can sell more units to people who’ll spend thousands on robot vacuums.

r/RobotVacuums · recs for best robot vacuum brand for long term reliability and less maintenance? I currently have a 2017 model Xiaomi and just spent around a month pulling my hair out on what to choose and decided on a Saros 20. It arrives tomorrow so no idea if I made the right decision yet. I was going to wait for the Flow 2 to be released in the UK but the amount of posts I saw of people complaining about hardware and software issues was concerning. Therefore I picked the Saros 20 because it’s the opposite, it’s hard to find anyone saying it’s already broken or anything negative other than maybe the object detection is not quite as a good as Dreame.

r/RobotVacuums · recs for best robot vacuum brand for long term reliability and less maintenance? Just researched myself and landed on Saros 20. Seemed to be the more liked out of the others. So far it has done an amazing jobs cleaning. Took a bit to get used to the app to schedule but once that was figured out, works as expected. With this type of technology, best to ensure you purchase extended warranty, specifically if you have TotalCare from BestBuy.
r/RobotVacuums · What’s the current best/most reliable robot vacuum/mop? I just purchased a Saros 20 and only ran it once. Have about 2000 sq ft down stairs and took a while to clean. Will see if that amount of time gets better.

r/Roborock · How do you guys handle multiple floors? This is exactly how I do it with my Saros 20. It works but Roborock could make it easier if they had a dedicated function for mopping floors other then the floor the docking is located.

r/Roborock · How do you guys handle multiple floors? That’s essentially what I do. I wait for the robot to wash the mop then after it’s done I move it upstairs. There’s no other way to change this until they make a stair climbing robot (there’s a prototype!!!) or you buy multiple robots. However, once the robot is done and returns to the dock it should wash the mop automatically. I’m not sure what the issue is there. Did you set your app to make the mop wash manually instead of automatically??

r/Roborock · How do you guys handle multiple floors? Ah, I see. That makes sense. I used to see suggestions about having a second dock. If that's a possibility, it would be cheaper than a whole second robot.

r/Roborock · What's the BEST Robot Vacuum in 2026? All manufacturers and models have the exact same problems. There is no quality control in the entire industry. All of them are mass produced, cheaply made, mostly plastic devices no matter how much they cost. A model from another manufacturer has the same chance of failure as your Saros 20. An exchange has the same chance of success as a refund and purchase of another model. I own seven robovacs and four of them failed in the first few months. A fifth failed before the warranty was up. I went through the exchange and warranty processes with all five of them. It was really annoying. All seven are working well now. If you want to try another brand or model, I certainly understand. But an exchange is the easiest, least painful route. You already know what you want, or at least what you wanted. Chances are the next one will work fine. These are the realities of robovac ownership. Good luck! I hope this helps!

r/RobotVacuums · recs for best robot vacuum brand for long term reliability and less maintenance? Saros 20 also has problem like less suction if you compare to 10r or bad obstacle avoidence or getting stuck. Flow 2 after updates getting better. Still best robot mopping ever for hardwood

r/RobotVacuums · Are most of the robot vacuums (under $500) with rotating cleaning pads really crap, unless they have a AI feature? I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I am waiting for the Saros 20 with direct water connection to be available/drop in price.

r/Roborock · After 1 Year with the Roborock Saros 10R: Great Battery, Frustrating in a Real Family Home The object avoidance of the saros 20 is super good ! For my taste it avoids too much 😂 but better than getting in trouble with them

r/Roborock · Share Your Real Reviews & Expectations — Win a Saros 20! ✨ 1. **Your Roborock Experience:** Your current Roborock model (any model), honest feedback, and what you’d like to see improved. I'd like to see more quality control across products and warranties over the past year. I've had several robots become defective shortly after buying or right after the one-year mark. 1. **Your Upgrade Motivation:** What would make you upgrade to a new flagship, and what you’re most curious about in the Saros 20. Honestly, obstacle avoidance. I am scared it might climb lower furniture, though.

r/Roborock · Share Your Real Reviews & Expectations — Win a Saros 20! ✨ Honestly, I just want to pre-order a Saros 20, so this review is about your website. I suspect the new 20 will have a much better time navigating my house than I did the website. The discounted price is great, but there is no way to actually order it. If it hasn’t been released, don’t list it as out of stock. It sounds like you are limiting the number of people who can get the intro price. If it isn’t on sale, then it is unethical to advertise that it is. Will that price be available on 3/23? Unclear. Marketing team: do better!
