FarConcern2308r/RobotVacuums · Dreame x50 vs Mova Z50 →2025-06-15
Hair management: Dreame X50 Ultra wins with fur compression. MOVA’s TriCut brush works great too. I have a long haired corgi and the TriCut brush works just fine with no tangles over 700 hours. Dreame’s dustbin is 395mL and MOVA’s is 300mL which is the same volume as the Dreame X40 ultra. I’d check how the dustbin is after every room for the first cleaning. You can run the Z50 to vacuum twice a day and mop once or even twice a day. TriCut doesn’t do as well for fur pickup on carpets compared to the dual brush on the X50 though. I don’t think both robots can get onto your shag rug and clean it well. True automation: Both robots have all in one base stations that autoempty, wash, and dry the mops. X50 cleans its own filter when autoemptying and the aceclean dryboard is easy to clean and cleans itself very well. The Z50 ultra has a removable mop pad cleaning tray, if I’m not mistaken. The Z50’s onboard dirty water tank will have to be cleaned but it also sprays the inside of the tank with clean water to prevent buildup. Maybe rinsing it once every two weeks would be good. Mopping: Z50 wins if you don’t need to mop super close to the edges. You can set the Z50 to shake its butt against the wall so the roller mop can get closer.

SouthProfessional128r/RobotVacuums · How Can We ( Vacuum Wars) Catch Real-World Issues in Robot Vacuum Reviews? →2025-07-08
A lot of the reviews run tests on flat even flooring with no grout or minimal grout. I found that some vacuums are not able to provide sufficient surface contact with the mop pads due to unevenness in flooring. I bought the Qrevo pro and the eufy omni x10 pro and both units left dry patches on my tiles. More recent robots don't have this issue but I'm not sure if it's just by chance the subsequent models I bought are different in the way they provide mopping pressure (Qrevo Edge and Mova Z50 ultra. I am not sure how you would be able to test this and provide some kind of metric but I think this would be handy to know. App/Robot quirks are also something that could be looked at. My Dreame X40 ultra and Mova Z50 ultra display the same nuances where if you remove a carpet and do a clean, the robot thinks its still there until it does its next map save/run. This meant that the area would not get mopped. Roborock and Eufy were able to adapt on the fly.

Yeah I guess I was hoping some of those quirks didn't get carried over. The unit itself has been ok. I ran into a docking issue in the first four days and had to return the unit. It had issues docking but fixed itself then it just got worst where it was charging but saying it wasn't docked at the same time. In terms of mopping performance, this was something I was excited and interested about for the Z50 ultra. I have always been using the rotating mop vacuums, last being the Qrevo Edge. I cannot say that it has been game changing for my uses. I don't use my robot vac to clean up spilt coffee (like ads show) but I'm sure it would do this better. Every day general mopping with two dogs, it doesn't seem to do clean up dried water spills near their bowls or saliva any better. I haven't used a clean towel to test the residual dirt. I did notice that probably due to the roller mop design, it is less prone to leaving marks behind on my tiles once dried. Obstacle avoidance, as you mentioned since it's Dreame sub brand, has been excellent. Way better than the Roborock. At the retail price of $2999 here in Australia, I would pass. I would rather get the eufy E25/28 at that price. But they dropped it down to $2000 on sale so I tried it out.

Questions fréquentes
Les problèmes d'accostage sont-ils répandus?
Oui.
