Simply do not forget about the undersized mopping cloth for side of Saros 10 that dirts up after a few meters due to this ridiculously small size of the cloth that cannot adsorb much dirt and the worse dock cleaning of the Saros 10. but apart from that there is no big difference I guess as well.

Great write up - I have the Saros 10 with the auto fill and drain dock and I am really enjoying not having to empty and fill it anymore. I think the mopping is fantastic and really does a great job on my dark hardwood floors. <image>

I have both the 10 and 10R and a Z70 I haven't opened yet. It's a tricky one – both are excellent cleaners but I prefer the 10R's mops to the 10's mopping pad, though I rarely mop. I also like the sleek looks of the 10R robot unit but much prefer the look of the 10 dock with its hidden water containers and push-to-open bin door. Both have good obstacle avoidance but only when the 'pet' option in settings is applied (it's off by default). However, my biggest deciding factor with robot vacs of all kinds is how well they empty their bins as I have four shedding animals at home. In this regard I've had issues of the dock blocking with the 10R, incomplete emptying and dust collection around the bag interface area. The 10 has been fine to date. So, given this and a few other things, I'd say the 10 just swings it.

Did you perhaps use the ‘remote viewing’ option when it crashed? For me this feature works fine when it is idle, but when I activate it while it is working it will crash about 50% of the time. I just avoid using it while cleaning now.

This. Most sites prefer the 10R. Any other vaccum roboter company switched their topmodels to spinning mops as well. OP just taking some reviewers he thinks tell the story his way and supports their tests. All of these are test scenarios anyhow. To my youtube reviewer search, also only including those not sponsored, 10R was slightly superior in mopping while no difference in sucking BUT with the already mentioned drawback of 10 increased complexity when it comes to cleaning the dock. There is no difference in navigation after both have had the chance to learn the environment after a few cleans. Both navigation systems are just equal. OP just loves the 10 and wants it to be the suprior model so hard. So be it. For you. But dont tell people that is a fact, because it isnt, you were highly biased right from the beginning and seemed immune vs facts even telling people for a long time the water tank would be so much bigger in the 10. Yeah. 1mL. It's easy: 10R > 10. But both are the best you can buy right now. There is simply no significant difference apart from docking cleanability and yeah, as already mentioned, corner mopping. This micro-mop on the 10 really is a joke, can't concinve me of anything else and this fact none of the youtubers took into considerations as well. So easy pick. You can try to convince yourself that the 10 is superior, but in fact, it isn't. :) Enough on this stupid comparison now, cheers! Happy easter everyone!

That Starsight system has the “cool factor”, but I am not sure if it’s that much better - perhaps they still need to improve it via software. Dustbin design is apparently better on the 10. Do you have a large house? The 10 has a longer run time if that’s important to you. I feel the main difference between the two are the different mop system. But since I only use the vacuum function, I am not so worried which is better. I find this guy on youtube consistently have the most unbiased reviews, check him out here https://youtu.be/z7DW-mx-TRs?si=ZISNrqssTmJK0MLb Ultimately, the last factor was that the 10 was cheaper than the 10R in my country. Hope that helps.

Sure you got a list of "ignore this review" from youtubers who put the 10R over the 10. But here is just one to get you started, who - oh no - states as well that the 10R has slightly better mopping performance. Looking at your history of comments you are on a mission right from the beginning to spread the message that 10 is superior to 10R and I can only guess because only the 10 was about to released to your country? I don't know. Here are two big testers international, I sticked to german reviewers since I am from germany but the conclusion is the same overall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-ZU6wM5w88 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkHBbDCOsNE Stick to the facts: - Manual cleaning the dock is required and much more complex with the 10 - The mini side cleaning cloth of the 10 is a joke and was not tested properly by ANY of the youtubers out there, this mini surface is simply a joke and there is no test needed to conclude that this will not get the job as good as the big pad with much bigger surface to adsorb the dirt - Navigation: No difference - Suction power: 10R slightly above 10 but in that range its anyhow, as you confirm yourself, marketing - 10 has a 1mL bigger internal water tank - Cleaning performance 10R>10 according to my youtube research I've done since both were on my radar, but only SLIGHTLY so nothing I would call the 10R suprior to the 10, however when it comes to cleaning edges there is a CLEAR lead from the 10R due to the huge pad vs. minipad that, again, none of the testers took into considerations Now that's enough for me for this thread. Have a great one Warm, bye :-)

I will second this about the Roborock Saros 10. $1000 now. It’s the non R version. There are a few differences between the Saros 10 vs the 10R. I went with the 10 because it was on sale and I felt the vibrating mop would work better for my home over the double spinning mops on the 10R. That being said, I came from an 11 year ECOVACS Deebot M80 Pro…kept it alive this long using a donor for parts 😂. The Saros 10 is absolutely awesome at everything.

Saros 10 user here. I second the OP's comments on all points. Let me add that the mopping function works surprisingly well. I'd say it would struggle if the floor is a real mess but for daily use it's just works perfectly well.

    r/Roborock · Share Your Real Reviews & Expectations — Win a Saros 20! ✨ →2026-03-19

Would love to enter this contest and use the opportunity to share my thoughts on the new Roborock robot vacuum! I've posted previous reviews on Amazon and Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Roborock/comments/1iur2gz/roborock_saros_10_amazon_canada_finally_arrived/ https://www.amazon.ca/product-reviews/B0DLH45139/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_show_all_btm?ie=UTF8 As for the specific questions being asked here: Question 1 - My Roborock Experience I’m a daily Saros 10 user, and my house is about 80% carpet, so that’s the lens I’m coming from. This is my first Roborock after owning a Roomba J7+, and the jump honestly felt huge. The biggest thing for me has been carpet performance. The Saros 10 does really well on carpet, especially once carpet boost is turned on in settings. It picks up almost everything, and while I’ll occasionally still see a deeply embedded strand left behind, it’s been very strong overall. Hair handling has also been one of the biggest wins for me. The side brush has stayed completely clear, and the main brush has only picked up a strand or two here and there. Compared to my old Roomba, that’s a massive improvement. My J7+ needed constant cleanup, while the Saros 10 has been close to hassle-free. I’ve also liked the overall build quality. The white dock feels premium and looks clean, and I personally prefer that everything is tucked away behind covers instead of being exposed. The robot itself also feels sturdy in hand and not cheap. Navigation has been good overall in my home too. We have cables and random stuff around, and it’s handled most of it pretty well. It’s not perfect, but it’s been reliable enough that I trust it to do its job. For a mostly carpeted house like mine, the mop is more of a bonus than the main reason I bought it, but features like auto-detach are really useful. If I had to give honest feedback on what I’d still like improved, it would be a bit more consistency around awkward furniture and certain edge-case obstacles. For me, those last little real-world friction points are where the next improvements matter most. Question 2- My Upgrade Motivation What would make me upgrade to a new flagship is if it noticeably improved the real-life friction points that still come up in daily use. For me, that means better threshold crossing between rooms, even better obstacle avoidance around cables and awkward furniture, better cleaning under low furniture, and keeping the anti-tangle performance excellent while pushing carpet cleaning even further. That’s what makes me curious about the Saros 20. On paper, it sounds like it’s aiming at the right things, but what matters to me is whether those upgrades actually show up in real homes. If it can get stuck less, handle room transitions better, reach lower spaces more effectively, and stay low-maintenance while still being strong on carpet, that’s the kind of upgrade I’d actually care about. Basically, I’d upgrade if the Saros 20 feels even more polished, more hands-off, and better at handling the little day-to-day situations that separate a good robot vacuum from a great one.

I'm not a fan of the spinning mop pads, not good for my old wood floors. I'm actually looking at saros 10 because of the vibrarise. I'm after the adaptalift chassis and I like how slim it is. If I could justify the price I'd love a narwal flow but not spending $2100 on a robotic vacuum. I'm just waiting on a sale, then I'm getting the saros 10 cause it ticks a lot of boxes for me.

Hmmm i am not sure if it will avoid yoga mats due to their surface area and being low to ground. Sorry I don’t have a yoga mat to test. There has been at least two updates since my posts, one of them adding the feature I wanted to lower side brush to clean carpet. However, with that enabled, it somehow curls up my wife’s long hair into multiple piles and leave them on the carpet 🤣 arhggg

Appreciate the physics refresher, but I literally said about 1kg of pressure — which your calc just confirmed. So not sure what you were trying to correct there. Also, mop performance isn’t just about Newtons — it’s about contact area, coverage, material, and how well it holds up over time. And yeah, the tests don’t lie — the Saros 10 consistently performs better in side-by-sides for actual cleaning not including Vacuum wars video. I’ve said from the start the 10R has a slightly easier dock, and that matters for some people. But I picked the 10 because it cleans better — simple as that.
