I truly think the Plus or Pro will do just fine for 90% of people. Hot water mop washing is only helpful for people with grease on their floors and these docks don't get hot (except the Curv dock) enough to be effective. I wash my clothes in cold water and they are just fine. Object avoidance is sadly not a priority for Roborock for some reason.

I see zero reason to pay over $1000 for Curv/Master when Qrevo Pro offers similar performance at half the price. I might pay over 1k if it comes with much better object avoidance (doesn’t eat cables/socks), better carpet cleaning and actual proper AI features such as adaptive cleaning not only based on floor type, but based on actual floor dirt/dust level. Instead of doing aggressive marketing and free product reviews for mediocre features such as a half baked voice assistant or a camera surveillance, Roborock should improve the actual autonomous cleaning performance. I can live without “Hey Rocky”, but I do not want to search for a robot that is stuck somewhere in the house because it ate another cable. I am ok doing this at $600 price level, but not over 1k.

By all means, please explain to me how I am “not intelligent enough to understand” a missing piece from the item I purchased being easier to request than shipping a 40lb giant box.

SouthProfessional128r/RobotVacuums · How Can We ( Vacuum Wars) Catch Real-World Issues in Robot Vacuum Reviews? →2025-07-08
A lot of the reviews run tests on flat even flooring with no grout or minimal grout. I found that some vacuums are not able to provide sufficient surface contact with the mop pads due to unevenness in flooring. I bought the Qrevo pro and the eufy omni x10 pro and both units left dry patches on my tiles. More recent robots don't have this issue but I'm not sure if it's just by chance the subsequent models I bought are different in the way they provide mopping pressure (Qrevo Edge and Mova Z50 ultra. I am not sure how you would be able to test this and provide some kind of metric but I think this would be handy to know. App/Robot quirks are also something that could be looked at. My Dreame X40 ultra and Mova Z50 ultra display the same nuances where if you remove a carpet and do a clean, the robot thinks its still there until it does its next map save/run. This meant that the area would not get mopped. Roborock and Eufy were able to adapt on the fly.

I tried the Master and Pro as well and kept the Master. Might just be my carpet and rugs, but I saw a noticeable decrease in vacuum performance on the pro. The Master and Q8Max+ which I had before both have similar dual rollers, which I liked on the Q8 and was disappointed when moving to the Pro (thus why I tried the Master). The Master also gets you the RGB camera system which has been awesome for my pets (identifying them and being able to drive around and find them), but I know that’s circumstantial.

Roborock. Seriously life changing with the vacuum and mop. QRevo pro has a great price for prime day, just bought them for my adult daughters.

WiseReliancer/RobotVacuums · Dreame L10S Ultra Gen 2 or Roborock QRevo L or ECOVACS Deebot T30 Omni →2025-06-08
We had it narrowed down to a Roborock qrevo pro and a dreame L10 to replace an aging S5 as well, and opted to go with the Roborock due to familiarity with the app, which was a dream from day one with the old vacuum. That and the dreame has a full on camera, which combined with AI makes it excellent at obstacle avoidance compared to the qrevo, but I’m not super comfortable having a camera on a robot in my home, especially with one of the features being that you could use it as a roving camera to check on pets. That didn’t sit right with me, and I wasn’t going to go through the effort of separating it from the cloud with whatever the program is that allows that. It made more sense to buy a vacuum without a full camera on the front of it. All that being said, we’ve had the Roborock for a week, and it’s an absolute dream. Does decent on carpet, great on hardwood floors, and the mop function, while not perfect, does do a pretty stellar job for daily cleaning.

Fruityth1ngr/homeassistant · What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? →2025-02-17
Using a qrevo pro, but get one with mop rollers that squeegee out the moisture. Roborocks software is good.

Intrepid_Cup2765r/homeautomation · Why do robot vacuums still need so much hands-on effort? (Expectation vs. Reality) →2026-04-29
Sounds like you bought a cheap one, your fault. I have a roborock qrevo pro, I declutter my floors before running it, do light maintenance to it once every 2 weeks, then give it a deep clean every 4. It’s the biggest time saving tool in my home.
