VacuumWarsr/RobotVacuums · I Was Wrong About Robot Vacuum Mops and What I'm Doing About It →2025-02-03
I should note there there were a few models like the Eufy X10 which were inconsistent per run, like I have seen it use 3 grams of water, and almost no water at different times. However after running it several times the low water usage seemed to be much more common so I used those numbers for it. Its too bad, if they could fix this water issue on the X10 it would be one of the best robots out there.

Mediocre maga supporter? What the hell does any of that have to do with the fact that I don’t like a vacuum? First off I’m Australian, not american. Secondly I’m left wing, not that it should matter at all. I don’t like the vacuum because it does a pretty abysmal job at cleaning. It doesn’t actually suck anything up and just wipes it around instead. I thought it’d be fine for me as I keep my floors relatively clean anyway and it’s not like the vacuum is doing a super big job, just helping to maintain. But it doesn’t even do that. All it does is be loud and annoying, needy, and useless.

Clown_Car_Addictr/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review →2024-11-06
After having had the shark matrix, eufy x10 pro omni, samsung bespoke jet bot ai and qrevo master all since the summer I finally got a curv and its the best by far. The adaptilift allows it to cross thick mats and transitions that would hang up every other robot I've ever had. This mops far better than the others and even that giant jet bot ai couldn't mop as well. It and the eufy would lose their mops while vacuuming then show an error forcing me to trace their paths to find them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but the qrevo curv is the best robot I've ever owned hands down. Roborock has released two firmware updates in the time I've had it. I'm actually thinking about buying a 2nd one and splitting the house between them.

SeaWeedSkisr/RobotVacuums · Eufy X10 Pro Omni Review →2024-06-09
I just bought the same model and received it yesterday and gave it the first couple of runs through our house. Here are my thoughts to add to yours: 🔷️PROS 🔶️CONS 🔷️ Fantastic for set-and-forget daily cleaning. I'm super-excited about the scheduling capability. I have it set to do a daily vacuum starting at 6pm and a weekly vacuum and mop on Sunday starting at 2pm. I might increase frequency of mopping if we decide we need it, but that's my starting point. 🔶️ Not really a con, but more a reminder to folks: This bot isn't even close to sufficient for all vacuuming needs. You'll still need a standard vacuum for places where the bot can't reach and for deeper/heavier soiling. 🔸️The kitchen floor under the cabinets - the kickplate area - didn't get cleaned. It's the area that gets dirtiest, so I'm disappointed the bot is unable to reach it. NOTE: This is probably my only true disappointment - everything else I laregly expected or have no difficulty finding workarounds. 🔸️I put down baking soda on my carpet to help with odors, and though the bot managed to pick up a lot of it, there was a significant amount remaining that I had to pull up with my standard vacuum. 🔸️Don't forget the need to have a way to clean out vents, air filter screens, and so on. 🔷️ VERY impressive obstacle avoidence / navigation. 🔹️I have a carpeted room that includes an area where I've placed a sample of pergo on top of the carpet. The bot managed the climb on and off without significant difficulty, and it accurately detected the change in surface and adjusted the suction accordingly. As my husband says "I love the way it just goes 4-wheeling through there." 🔹️I have a small table that is almost exactly the same size as the bot, and it's positioned on the carpet right at the edge of where I placed the pergo. The bot managed to climb down off the pergo while navigating between the table legs, do a few turns to clean the floor under the table, then navigate back out from under the table while having to make the climb back up onto the pergo. I thought for sure the bot would get stuck under the table, but it handled it beautifully. 🔸️I had a mirrored closet door slightly open at the beginning of the quick-mapping but closed the closet door before running the first cleaning. The bot got stuck in a loop of trying to get into the closet to clean it. Oops. I manually stopped the cleaning and added a virtual barrier no-go zone on the map to block the closet for future runs. No problems since. 🔸️I have a bookcase made with 3/4" plywood as the base (no legs). The bot just tried to climb into the bookcase. As a workaround I stretched a cable across the floor in front of the bookcase and will manually add a virtual boundary no-go zone to the map for future runs. (🔹️On the plus side, after my husband picked up the bot to make it stop climbing into the bookcase, the bot waited for the resume command and then re-oriented itself before finishing the job. Perfect response to the situation.) 🔸️I have a chair that has short wooden feet that stick out just a little beyond the bulk of the chair. The bot tries to climb right over the feet. I'm going to have to come up with a solution to protect the chair. I might use the virtual barrier, but positioning it perfectly to protect the chair but still allow the bot to clean the area behind the chair may be impossible. 🔹️My husband left a towel on the bedroom floor and I caught the bot 4-wheeling its way over the towel, vacuuming the entire time. 🔷️ Battery life is adequate. A single lap on standard suction for the entire (very small) house took just under an hour and used 25% of total power. 🔷️ Our senior cat finds it interesting, but not traumatizing. He rarely gets excited by toys now as he's got significant "I've seen it all" attitude. He hasn't seen one of these before, so he's been cautiously checking it out. I have no idea how I'll feel about it 6 months or 6 years from now, but as of right now I'm delighted with it and very glad I made the purchase. It's not the be all, end all for vacuuming, but I expect it's going to be a massive assist.

Grezmor/RobotVacuums · Eufy X10 pro omni vs Roborock q revo s (also the Roomba combo j9 and the Deebot t30s →2024-09-20
Just today posted my experiences with both of these. Ultimately I had technical issues with the Eufy which meant that I've switched to the Roborock. See my post here for more info: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1fla0f2/eufy_x10_pro_omni_roborock_qrevo_s/ However, you specifically mention the vacuuming. I don't have cats but I have seen no decreased performance in the Roborock vs the Eufy. In fact I'd say the Roborock seems to have improved vacuuming despite a lower suction rating (the rubber brush maybe??). There's really not much between them though in my experience. Roborock currently £520 vs Eufy at £679 in the UK (I'd bought my Eufy at £600).

Having the same experience with the Eufy X10 Pro Omni this week, it just does -not- have enough suction/bristle action to pick up, in my case, small particles like sand/kitchen salt. Sure it'll pick up most of it, but its leaving/scattering around at least 10-20% of those smaller particles it runs over. In vacuumwars review the front brush action is mentioned as not functioning great, and that's subsequently regarded as being nitpicky. I thought, thatll be fine for me then. But its not. Navigation/app/user experience/object avoidance and mopping work all really great, so much that I feel sorry to say that if a vacuum doesn't vacuum right, then I'll be returning it anyway.

If you care about excellent obstacle avoidance, think Eufy, Dreame, or Narwal. Hot water is for cleaning the mops, not for cleaning the floor, and reviewers have said that it doesn't seem to make a difference. It's also another thing to break so I wouldn't buy something based on that "feature." I would stay away from ecovacs, based on reviews. Eufy x10 pro omni is great if you don't have much carpet (it is weaker on carpet pickup for shallow and deep pickup) but is otherwise a high performer. The master probably isn't worth 300 more than the qrevo S, but you do get side brush and side mop, which may be worth it for some people. If you are thinking of L40, perhaps consider X40 since its navigation may be better.

wikiwakawakaweer/eufy · eufy X10 Pro Omni is INCREDIBLE →2024-06-13
This is my first robotvac ever, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it indeed is a lifesaver. I barely have to vacuum or mop anymore, actually I dont think I have since I bought this, except to test out how much cat hair comes out of the carpet after the robotvac passed. The first week, the brush was completely tangled in cat hair a few times, but after that first week, there's barely any there after a few days of running it. I do wish the detangling was better as it doesn't seek to work that great and still have to rip off the hairs that get stuck every 3 days or so. Also wish I could use the smart mode to just clean every day, but doesn't really work for me. So I've had to set up 3 different schedules to vacuum everyday, and mop twice a week. Otherwise if left on smartmode, it goes and cleans the mops every 15 minutes, even if it didn't use the mops with that 15min period, and it'll waste all the water in like a day. But overall, it's a great vacuum, and my house of 2 people with 2 cats feels so much cleaner as it cleans everyday, rather than us vacuuming once a week.

I replaced it at Best Buy. I learned afterwards I had never once heard it do its loud passing the dust into the vacuum bag. So my first one was entirely defective. Maybe yours is too. Does it make super loud noise when it goes back to base to empty itself?

SouthProfessional128r/RobotVacuums · How Can We ( Vacuum Wars) Catch Real-World Issues in Robot Vacuum Reviews? →2025-07-08
A lot of the reviews run tests on flat even flooring with no grout or minimal grout. I found that some vacuums are not able to provide sufficient surface contact with the mop pads due to unevenness in flooring. I bought the Qrevo pro and the eufy omni x10 pro and both units left dry patches on my tiles. More recent robots don't have this issue but I'm not sure if it's just by chance the subsequent models I bought are different in the way they provide mopping pressure (Qrevo Edge and Mova Z50 ultra. I am not sure how you would be able to test this and provide some kind of metric but I think this would be handy to know. App/Robot quirks are also something that could be looked at. My Dreame X40 ultra and Mova Z50 ultra display the same nuances where if you remove a carpet and do a clean, the robot thinks its still there until it does its next map save/run. This meant that the area would not get mopped. Roborock and Eufy were able to adapt on the fly.

Excellent write-up and my thoughts exactly after having one for 6+ months. They still haven't addressed the fact the bot uses the LIDAR and not the bumper to detect some things, causing it to avoid cabinet overhangs .. there are sections of my kitchen that it refuses to clean because of this ( I know because I put a piece of debris there and it hasn't been touched.), it will not go under the toe-kick because the LIDAR detects the cabinet, every other bot I've used (EcoVac, Roomba, RoboRock, Wyze, etc.) slows down and probes with the bumper for this scenario. It's the same thing with low-hanging fabric (like curtains or underseats). It just avoids it, when it should probe it for a physical obstacle. Their latest firmware update added an option to be cautious or "medium" but it doesn't seem to change this. Another gripe for me is the removal of the AI.See images and the lack of being able to provide any feedback to this system. You should at least be able to draw small zones for it to ignore certain types of categories, I have a few areas it classifies as "buckets" or "bases" that wouldn't hinder it, but it still flags and avoids them. I also agree that it'd be nice for one manufacturer to push air through the filter in reverse to dislodge a lot of the dust when emptying the bin, it's probably one of the biggest contributors to rapid performance dropoff. That, or someone needs to try a cyclonic first stage (Dyson did, but everything else was lacking). I don't need a gimmicky robot arm, I'd like it to be good at vacuuming. I do think all of the RoboVac review channels need to add "longevity" to their testing regime (even if it's synthetic or brute-forced) as I find a lot of vacuums performance degrade rapidly after a few months, even with regular maintenance (consumables, etc.).

Picks up small debris well for me on Turbo + cleaning intensity as deep + Walter level medium. Haven’t used Max yet. My scheduled use is kitchen floor every night and entire floor twice a week. Rest is as per need. In the morning the kitchen floor is super clean (it has light colored tiles). So that’s where my feedback is coming from. On more thing: I read in the manual that it is suggested to run vaccum and mop as a separate cycle for optimal results. Going to try this one soon to see if it makes any difference.

Thank you. The cat litter test was done with a practically new filter. Eufy claims these parts should last 360 cleaning hours but they don't even last a few hours without clogging. I follow Eufy's cleaning instructions weekly and also vacuum the filter out with a shop vac clear it out between replacement intervals. My Wyze has no suction issues and I replace it's filter every other month. I also believe that the eufy filter is not part of a sealed HEPA system. Rtings tested both the Eufy x10 and Wyze robot vacuum. The Wyze is an actual sealed HEPA system, Eufy is not. The issue with pickup is partially suction airflow but it seems more a product of a bad seal with the floor due to a bad brush guard/brush design.

It’s honestly great! I didn’t run it for a few days as we were out of the house a lot and I have kids who love to just throw shit on the floor and we were always too tired to pick up when we got home late at night. After three days my floors were looking DIRE - ran Goofy (my sons name for our robot) and they were spotless when it was done. If you do have a dog that sheds though you gotta clean the base that is removable every few days though otherwise it clogs up and the robot isn’t able to keep it water-free. That’s the only issue but I reckon without my shed monster, most people wouldn’t have an issue with it! Can’t recommend it highly enough. We got ours for 600 euros too from their voucher thing they ran and honestly; you cannot beat that value in my opinion. P.S. edge to edge mopping is 🫶🏻

I currently have the X10 Pro Omni and have 2 cats, but I have to de-tangle it almost every couple of days because the hair/fur starts balling up around the brush despite having it on max suction and self emptying every 15 minutes (and it has that "Anti-tangle comb" where it spins the brush backwards to capture the hairs supposedly). I saw the E25/28 had new rollers that seem to actually NOT tangle. How has your experience been regarding that?

Sadly the X10 is a rather poor vacuum I’ve found. Ours has been in use for over a year now. We got it because it was highly recommended by Vacuum Wars. The X10 is a semi-decent allrounder, but my almost 6 year old Ecovacs Deebot does so, so much better just cleaning up dust. It pulls up buckets of dust and sand in a single sweep where the X10 has to pass 4 times for the same result. Not keen on getting another Eufy if this one kicks the bucket tbh.
