Verscreubulatorr/Roborock · Should I upgrade from S8 Pro Ultra to Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow? →2026-03-30
The S8 will vacuum much, much better but require a bit more maintenace. The CurvX will mop better and require a bit less maintenance. The ideal solution is to use them both. Vacuum first with your S8 and then mop with the Curv. Better yet, split the vacuuming tasks between the two and get done faster. Leave the rugs and carpets to the S8 and the hard floors to the Curv, because anything does reasonably well on hard floors. Then the Curv can finish up with all the mopping. I speak from experience. I use five S8s to speed vacuum our entire house and garage in 36 minutes. Then a pair of Saros 10Rs follow up with all the mopping. The bottom line is that if a robovac has a modern mopping system and auto detangling rollers, it will not vacuum nearly as well as your existing S8 set to Max. This is because modern mopping systems take up a lot of space inside a robovac. Because of this, dustbins became tiny. This in turn reduced airflow even though the newer models have higher suction. One needs both good suction and good airflow in order to vacuum well. Auto detangling rollers do not agiate rugs and carpets as well, and do not kick up debris as well as the old fashioned solid rubber rollers. Combined with poor airflow, this leads to a significantly reduced vacuuming capability. Personally, I would choose a CurvX instead. Roller mops are pretty cool, but they require a lot of maintenance and are prone to all sorts of problems. I think in a year or two, roller mops will be better perfected. They have not been yet! For my taste, I will stick with spinning mops for now. In your case, without carpets, a more modern robovac might provide an improvement. Our S8s still vacuum better on hard floors than our 10R, but the 10R does pretty good. Any Curv model will perform about the same. I would still choose a CurvX over a Flow for the spinning mops. I hope this helps!

Same for me lol my L10s just broke and Amazon sent me a refund I stopped using the mops too lol handwashing them was time consuming I’m thinking about buying the Roborock QRevo CurvX because I’m so fed up with Dreame 😆 the after sales support was a nightmare! Dreame is cheaper though..

Can't speak for the Eufy, but the CurvX does everything well without perhaps being the absolute best in any specific area. Failure rate also appears to be on the low side.

I have been a Roborock fan since my first s7+ in 2021. And I started telling everyone about your vacuums. It really freed up a lot of my time because I was having to get our big plug in vacuum out and vacuum at least twice a day to keep up with all the dog hair. I moved on to s7 maxv, then original Q Revo, Qrevo Maxv and finally Qrevo master. I absolutely love the Qrevo master. We have 3 dogs and it was great at keeping the floors clean and did great on the carpets with the double roller. I just wish the object avoidance was better. It's pretty much at the end of its run so I tried the Curvx. The mopping was good but something about the new duo divide brushes just didn't seem to work well with our dog hair and it picked up half as much on our throw rug. And I was running it on its highest level. I ran the master right after the curvx and the bin was filled with hair. So I moved on and tried the Roborock Saros 10R..The object avoidance worked great for me, the mopping was fantastic and I loved the machine but the vacuum part was still a little lacking for our pet hair. We have 2 Australian Cattle Dogs and 1 Beagle and their hair gets kind of gummy and sticky. The dual rollers are great for that but I can tell our Qrevo master is on its last leg. I ended up sending the Saros 10r back because the vacuuming just was still not as good and I couldn't see upgrading to something that didn't vacuum as well as what I have. It was leaving a lot of hair behind on 3 passes. Maybe I had a defective one, I don't know. I am excited and eager to try the Saros 20. I am hoping the increased suction will finally solve the hair pick up problem for me. And the improved mopping looks promising. So I am willing to give it a shot. I want it to work because from what I have seen I think it looks great and it SHOULD finally work on my dog hair for the first time since the Qrevo Master. I truly hope it does. If it does not I just hope my Qrevo master holds out until I get one that vacuums the way I need. One thing would be great is have a way to increase downward pressure and airflow on carpets so the pick up would be better with the duo divide. Or have the technology of the Saros 20, the spinning mops, but have an option for dual rollers. As of now these have picked up the best on my rugs. You still have some dual rollers but that is for more basic models. Having them available with the a flagship and it's fully automated dock would just be perfect. Even if it has to be a more stripped down flagship like the different models of the Curv.

Honestly, I’m already on my second Roborock. I started with the Roborock S7 Max back in 2019, and it completely changed the way I clean my home. The performance, navigation, and consistency were incredible. My floors were always spotless with almost no effort from me. Recently I upgraded to the Roborock Q Revo Curv X because I really wanted the fully automated dock experience. My S7 Max was still working perfectly, but the idea of having a dock that takes care of everything: washing the mop, emptying the dustbin, and reducing maintenance even more was too good to pass up. I actually ended up giving my S7 Max to my mom, and now she’s also a Roborock fan. What I love most about Roborock is reliability. It simply works. My floors are always immaculate, and my guests constantly comment on how clean my home looks. It saves me a huge amount of time and makes keeping the house clean almost effortless. If there’s one feature I would love to see in future generations, it would be the ability to steam-clean floors. Combining Roborock’s automation and smart navigation with true steam sanitation would be a game changer, especially for kitchens and high traffic areas.

I think as a proud owner of the Qrevo CurvX, only a few things would encourage me to upgrade to a new flagship: Significant upgrades to navigation and object recognition. One of my greatest fears is a robot finding cat vomit in my house and just plowing over it creating messpocalypse. As a result I typically only run it when I am home and never on a schedule. A secondary perk of the better navigation would be even more battery efficiency, I like Roborock because I feel like their robots are typically decisive in navigation and as such can get a large amount of area done in one charge. Significant vacuum performance increase. I don’t mean bigger numbers because I feel those are unreliable seeing as it’s from a controlled lab and I don’t know where they are measuring that suction. I mean better air flow and practical real world performance like removing sand from carpet or embedded hair. I think the CurvX has pretty decent suction but if a new flagship had a bigger waste bin or was able to get 100% of fine coffee grounds or litter from the floor in one pass I would be very tempted to upgrade. Significant mopping upgrade. I love having a vacuum that mops for me. I am saved so much time even if I need to do hard spots myself, however something that had onboard warm water mopping or an increase in downward pressure/spin speed that could demonstrably remove tough dried on stains quickly would interest me greatly. I think robots mopping is probably one of my favorite things about the new robots honestly. Finally the things I am most curious about for the Saros 20 are the navigation, mopping efficiency, and real world vacuum ability.

i have a qrevo curvx. I love most things about it, however some things i would like fixed would be. • when i tell it to vacuum and mop all my floors with the vacuum carpets first option selected, it will vacuum one carpeted room, wash the mop then go to the next carpeted oom. • I would like to see larger tanks in the dock. • duo divide is great, but we need more downward pressure on carpets. Thank you for giving us this opportunity. I love roborock and can't wait for the future

Neat-Tennis-8492r/RobotVacuums · Debating between Roborock Qrevo CurvX and Eufy Robot Vacuum E25 →2026-02-02
I’ve tested a lot of vacuums. I’m on my second e25. First started acting funny and then the roller mop started stinking something fierce to the point it was stinking up our house while it cleaned. This new one was miles better at first with new firmware updates since the last one we had. Then, it just started randomly acting stupid - like, repeatedly bumping into our couch over and over and over and over and over and over in the same spot until I factory reset it. Now it’s romping over chairs, going into random rooms that are marked as no-go, driving drunk (not straight) and doing all sorts of other silly little things it never used to do. I’m guessing it’s a firmware bug that will get fixed (maybe?) but I don’t have time to babysit vacuums every day so it’s going back. The CurvX in the short time I had it was solid. Not great on medium pile carpet suction, but hard floor vacuuming and mopping was really good. Had a weird dry mopping things every once in a while, but again, I think these are like firmware patches they fix with updates. I’d 100% go with the CurvX - unless you have 100% solid flooring and a very simple modern layout on your home with nothing for vacuums to be stuck on or navigate around. The e25 mops and vacuums really good in wide open spaces, but the quality, pathing, and obstacle avoidance compared to a CurvX is lesser IMO.

A couple of options for bags. First do the manufacturer recommended buy new disposable bags and toss when they are full. Second there are bags with zippers on them you can buy online if you want to try and reuse it a few times but still recommend tossing after a few uses. Third is 3d print a dustbin that uses one of the vacuums onboard filters. We did this with our other Roborock CurvX because no one makes bags that fit the dock dustbin shape properly and it would easily cause animal hair clogging the bag at the entry point from the dock tube. We use the disposable for the Saros 10r and have been happy with it but I am considering printing a dustbin for it too.
