Roborock Qrevo Curv

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review One of the primary reasons I upgraded to the QRevo Curv was for the new anti tangle rollers. I live in a household with a few women that have long thick hair that was constantly getting tangled up in my original QRevo. I've only owned it for a few days, but when running it daily alongside my original QRevo, the new Curvs dirty water tank is also noticeably dirtier. The majority of the other features may be extremely similar in performance to models like the Master, but if the Curv can prevent or significantly reduce hair tangles, then that's a win for me.
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review The Curv has held up very well. No issues with tangled hair. I run it daily.

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review I tried Master and Pro and kept the Pro as I did not observe meaningful cleaning difference. “Performance is great” is relative. All Roborocks released last year are much better than my 3 years old S5 Max, but are they much better than each other? See Jamie Andrews’ reviews on Youtube where he tests vacuuming and mopping using a standardized approach. There is minimum difference in cleaning performance between Pro, Master or Curv at the end of the day. So, I believe Jamie instead of paid Roborock reviews.
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review I see zero reason to pay over $1000 for Curv/Master when Qrevo Pro offers similar performance at half the price. I might pay over 1k if it comes with much better object avoidance (doesn’t eat cables/socks), better carpet cleaning and actual proper AI features such as adaptive cleaning not only based on floor type, but based on actual floor dirt/dust level. Instead of doing aggressive marketing and free product reviews for mediocre features such as a half baked voice assistant or a camera surveillance, Roborock should improve the actual autonomous cleaning performance. I can live without “Hey Rocky”, but I do not want to search for a robot that is stuck somewhere in the house because it ate another cable. I am ok doing this at $600 price level, but not over 1k.
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review Roborock’s AI powered fake comments or tech addicted consumers who are trying to justify their purchase call is the best. In reality, a Curv or Master is perhaps 2% better than a Qrevo Pro. It fails on object avoidance and nobody should pay those prices.
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review Exactly my point. If Curv or Master achieve about the same level of cleaning performance as a Qrevo Pro (lousy carpet vacuuming and good hard floor cleaning), then why would I spend twice the money to get lousy object avoidance? As someone working in tech, I know that bringing meaningful innovations every year without causing reliability issues is difficult. However, Roborock marketing team releases 6-7 products every year, jacking up the price without offering anything different cleaning performance wise and then reverts to marketing to sell the new product. I’d rather have a proper object avoidance instead of half-baked voice assistant (hardly a must have for a robot vacuum cleaner) or obstacle climbing (didn’t need this in any of the homes I owned over last 20 years).

r/RobotVacuums · I Was Wrong About Robot Vacuum Mops and What I'm Doing About It The difference was the water usage only as far as I could tell. the Curv used almost twice as much and it really showed. I had significant streaks on my floors at my house. I gave a lot of weight to this issue in the algo and thats why it dropped so much.

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review This isn't my experience at all. I've had it going now for three weeks and it's performance has been great. The only issue I have so far is the smell from the dirty water tank. Object avoidance has been working for me, and I've tried to trick it by laying cables flush with the ground. One important thing is to fully "train" the device by clearing the room a few times before you expect it to recognize anomalies. I'll be posting a very detailed review shortly. I'm not trying to justify my purchase as I'm on the review crew. I am, however, a tech addict. Do (or did) you own one?
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review You are correct - only the S8 MaxV Ultra has this feature. Most of the other robots I've used (mainly iRobot) don't have this feature either. They just advise you to add a small amount to the clean water tank. The S8 does it automatically. The issue I have is with the dirty water tank. It smells if you don't empty it frequently. I've read there are cartridges you can buy to deodorize, but I haven't tried that yet.
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review That's fair. The anti tangle system makes it worthwhile to me. It works really well.
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review To be clear, I'm not being paid and I don't need the test device they gave me. I already have an S8 MaxV Ultra. I agree the difference between devices isn't massive, but at least Roborock appears to be making incremental improvements and is actually developing the product, some might even argue too quickly. The plethora of models can be confusing. To me, the S8 vs. Curv is very similar, but I see the Curv performing much better with tangles. When I tried my S8 in the same area for a few weeks, the hair buildup was noticeable and needed to be cleared every few times it cleaned the floor. The deep pile carpet feature (where it raises the body) seems largely ineffective. I find the performance of the vacuum better with it turned off. This would probably be corrected if we could adjust the height, or even better if it would detect and adjust automatically. The other obvious difference is the change of aesthetics to the base itself. This iteration didn't do much for me, but I'm very glad to see them paying attention to looks.

r/Roborock · Best self emptying robot vacuum that can be an alternative to Roborock? Curvx would be a better deal then the curv, it usually goes on sale for like 900 on amazon and the curv is like 800. Don’t get any tp link robovac, they’re terrible. Just stay with the popular companies.

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review I truly think the Plus or Pro will do just fine for 90% of people. Hot water mop washing is helpful for people grease and these docks don't get hot (except the Curv dock) enough to be effective. I wash my clothes in cold water and they are just fine. Object avoidance is sadly not a priority for Roborock for some reason.

r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra Yeah I was looking at the Dreame L40 ultra but it had no big advantages over the Qrevo Curv as far as I could tell. So I just picked that one for the sake of better app, customer service and possible hotter mop-cleaning.
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra Mopping would be nice but is not necessary for the 2nd story. I mean the Qrevo Curv has the hardware for good obstacle avoidance as far as I can tell, so I would think a software update should do the trick. It just so happens that cats do throw up sometimes and I dont want to pay 1000€ for someone to wipe it across my flat...

r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra If I was dropping the money I would go with the narwal unless your 2nd story needs mopping. The narwal does not have an onboard water tank and would need to go back the base to rewet and clean pads. The curvs obstacle avoidance appears to be decent at best from what videos I’ve seen. Hopefully someone that owns one will chime in with some more insight on that.

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review I was able to order this unit in September before it opened to the public on the official store. After having had the shark matrix, eufy x10 pro omni, samsung bespoke jet bot ai and qrevo master all since the summer I finally got a curv and its the best by far. The adaptilift allows it to cross thick mats and transitions that would hang up every other robot I've ever had. This mops far better than the others and even that giant jet bot ai couldn't mop as well. It and the eufy would lose their mops while vacuuming then show an error forcing me to trace their paths to find them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but the qrevo curv is the best robot I've ever owned hands down. Roborock has released two firmware updates in the time I've had it. I'm actually thinking about buying a 2nd one and splitting the house between them.

r/Roborock · Thinking about getting the Saros 10r on Prime Day I have a Curv with the same design of main brush and noticed too that it does a worse job on carpets, even compared to my old Q Revo. The issue is with the dust bin opening being strictly in the middle between the rollers and as the result the suction on the sides is worse. But yeah, it mostly is ok on Max setting.

r/Roborock · Roborock Qrevo Curv dust bag How the bag fits, as you can see. It's all twisted https://preview.redd.it/vvsa6bv4t16h1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3f151d5e9834d91136bd4ce72cbc34c889ce3b00
r/Roborock · Roborock Qrevo Curv dust bag I agree, it works, but I find it annoying, The dust doesn't really fill up the whole bag as it should. And I find myself needing to reposition the bag after a while, push the hair down myself. r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review Using it for 1 year now and I must say its good. Suction could be better (newer model Edge has better suction) but comparing to S5 it is day and night! Absolutely worth the money... Maintenance once per 2-3 month (base clean and etc) and water refill every week... (Depending on mopping frequency).
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review So far using it 3 weeks... It made a ball of hair in the middle of the duo divide rollers 2 times and left it behind in the middle of the room so I had to grab the ball of hair and trash it by hand... But my girl has really long hair... 0.9 meter (measured). Flipping the robot upside down and checking rollers there was almost no tangle on rollers (1 hair only literarily) I previously had S5 max (every cleaning needed unstuck rollers). I highly recommend the Curv for anti tangle of hair... It makes much difference in cleaning... Especially when your floors are full of hair always.. If you dont care of hair... Go to Qrevo master or pro its exactly same in cleaning performance... except the 0% (0.5% in reality) hair tangling feature...

r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester. If you want something with an obstacle avoidance system that has a camera and to fit under low hanging furniture, get the Saros 10. If not, the Qrevo Curv performs well in pickup testing and might do better with mopping because of it's spinning pads, but the obstacle avoidance sensor it has does not perform well.
r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester. I haven't tested the X, but I have tested the original Curv. It's likely to be similar in pickup and mopping performance to the Saros 10R since they have the same brush roller. The original Curv's obstacle avoidance was its biggest downfall and the CurvX seems to have a newer version, but I can't comment on its performance.
r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester. I'm actually curious about this too and will try and investigate this in the new year. The Eufy S1 and the Eufy E28 did about the same as spinning mop pads. The Ecovacs X8 did amazing, but took 3 times longer than the standard to mop the area due to its stain detection feature. We only test with a tomato sauce stain right now, but a new developing a new mopping test is on our radar. Realistically, I've found that pathing and stain detection features play a big role in how well something mops, and in most cases, unless you have a highly stained floor most robots will do a decent to good job. I haven't tested the L50, but I have tested the similar X50, and it got a 6/10 for our pet hair on low pile carpet test. The Ecovacs X8 and Qrevo Curv also got 6/10 (haven't tested the Curv X). In most cases, pet hair on hard floor is easy for any vacuum to pickup, but most of them still get hair stuck even if they have "anti-tangle" features. My best advice for reviews is watch the actual performance of the vacuum if available and don't look at the score, including ours. Make you on conclusions based on what you see, and try to see if it matches your situation. As much as us reviewers try our best to find the best pick, ultimately it's close to impossible to recreate all possible outcomes of the real world, which is why it's important to consider multiple opinions when purchasing. Based on what I can see from your needs, what's available in Canada, from the robots I've tested, the Roborock S8 Max V Ultra or The Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni, will likely be your best bet. You can find the S8 Max V at bestbuy for [$999.99](https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/roborock-s8-maxv-ultra-robot-vacuum-and-mop-with-flexiarm-design-side-brush-reactive-ai-2-0-obstacle-avoidance-and-8-in-1-rockdock-ultra-pet-vacuum-white/18145277)\* and the Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni at Costco for [799.99](https://www.costco.ca/ecovacs-x8-pro-omni-care-robot-vacuum-and-instant-self-washing-roller-mop-bundle.product.4000350883.html)\*. Both will likely get hair stuck in their brush rollers, but the Ecovacs will be more challenging to clean due to its bristles. I made a quick table for you here with the X8, S8 MaxV and the Curv (added noise level for the doggos): https://preview.redd.it/dxq7wdfgx04g1.png?width=1448&format=png&auto=webp&s=6f9c1779ed524d273b8165c1ae93c4dfd9f6bc5e Hope this helps! \*Not affiliate links
r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester. We haven't tested it, but we have tested the Qrevo Curv which is the same robot but with better obstacle avoidance than the S5A. The Curv got a 9/10 on our hardfloor pickup, only beat out by the Saros 10R, so it's pretty excellent.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester Sorry I missed you before the end of the sale. Thankfully, Black friday is not too far away. I'd still suggest the S8 Max V overall since it's a bit cheaper but does a good job overall. If obstacle avoidance is not important, then the Qrevo Curv is excellent for hard floor. The Saros 10R would be my top pick for hard floor and overall right now (based on what we've tested), but it's out of your budget.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester For auto plumbing, from what I can see, Roborock currently only has the S8 Max V Ultra and the Saros 10 (this is for the US, and I think would likely vary per region). The S8 Max V is great, but I haven't tested the Saros 10. I Imagine it's pickup performance is similar to the 10R (Excellent for hard floor, mid for carpets), but wouldn't be able to comment on it's mopping or obstacle avoidance other than it should be similar or better than the S8 Max V. In the lower mid-range Q Revo Series, most of them are pretty equal in terms of pickup performance. I haven't tested some of the newer ones like the S5V, but since they have the same brush roller as the QRevo Curv and the Saros 10R, I'd imagine their pickup performance would be good. The Qrevo Curv and Edge add the extending side brush, which is nice to have, but still lack in terms of obstacle avoidance. Usually, the newer the vacuum in the line-up, the quieter they get, which is a nice bonus. I'd say the Saros 10 with drainage kit might be your best bet since you only have hard floors. If your balcony has a large threshold, the Saros 10 can also jump up to 4cm. The S8 Max V would also be a good option to save some money, but dual rollers are not as excellent on hard floor (still great though). Like I said, you should still expect some long hair to get stuck on the brush, since no system that I have tested has ever been able to pass our hair tangle test. Single rollers with bristles will get hair stuck in the brush roller itself (Like on the Saros 10) and dual rollers (S8 Max V) usually get hair stuck around the edges of the brush roller. I find all rubber brushes much easier to clean hair off of than brushes with bristles.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester If you're looking for a bare-bones robot with just vacuuming and no other features, it seems like the Q7 M5+ is the replacement for it the Q7 Max+ (which was a "better" version of the Q5). I haven't tested it, but I've seen some good things about the new Q series in general. For threshold climbing, prices will jump up, and dock sizes will get bigger. The Qrevo Curv and the saros 10r both climbed up to 3.8 cm in our testing, but their docks are pretty hefty. I would say the trade-off for getting the Q7 M5+ would be just having to manually lift it over the threshold.

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review Lots of the new tech is marginal improvements and it's had to offset some benefits new tech brings with new weaknesses too. Then you factor in price because I'm willing to accept stuck sessions if the unit is affordable but on the high end machines like the qrevo curv, why should I accept it? It's the same cost as a macbook pro or iPhone pro max. For example, a robovac that is trained to lift itself up over cords won't be programmed to avoid those cords as aggressively as robovacs that have to avoid all cords. For me, the biggest issue is carpet performance. 18500 PA suction is great until you realize you have to turn off adapt lift to have similar performance to a regular roborock S8 or qrevo pro. AND my unit still gets stuck on bath mats and corded object on my floor where the cord is exposed even when plugged in.
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review Yes! I don't have any premium robovac that gets stuck as much as the curv.it literally ripped out my space heater from the wall plug, and pulled an extension cord strip which loosened some wires that were put away, then ate the wires that disconnected the mop pads. What are you planning on doing with yours?

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review Why would you have headphones or chargers laying around on your floor? It's always funny seeing these reviews focusing on avoiding cables or headphones while most people use earbuds and don't have random cables laying around. You also mentioned in the review vacuum on medium/long hair carpet, while as far as I know, it's recommended for short/medium. I liked the review, but some parts were a bit exaggerated, I bought it for 1100 euros when it got lunched as my first robot. In the beginning, it was a bit stupid, but after few runs, no more issues in terms of strange patterns. It requires low maintenance, does a decent job better than my karcher vacuum and I can easily move it upstairs for the carpet without the need to move the dock. For 1100 I think it's still okayish for the market.
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review This make sense but still if you want to have it efficient, the floor should be clear as much as possible otherwise you will have a lot of zones skipped because of objects.

r/RobotVacuums · Dreame X50 Pro reviews are in. One small leap for robot vacuums, one giant leap in convenience. Roborock said 3cm single or 4cm double. 3cm can be quite a struggle and anything above is unrealiable for me. Some of my threaholds are 33mm single 90° ones, which equals 3,3cm. Its a tiny bit too high for it :( Otherwise i love this thing!
r/RobotVacuums · Dreame X50 Pro reviews are in. One small leap for robot vacuums, one giant leap in convenience. Trust me, i tried. Any Ramp i tried to put either looks shit or obstructs my door from closing. Its just so annoying. Both the curve and the x50 directly address MY issue? However the curve unfortunately does not go far enough for my apartment. However most other ones in this building are a bit better and it would work. I have the damn hightest thresholds ☹️. The x50 should have some headroom and be hopefully finally be managing my place 100% reliable without a struggle!

r/RobotVacuums · Long hair friendly Auto Vacuum? No, they are not all like that—you do not need to use a screwdriver just to remove hair from a robot vacuum。 The iRobot Roomba 675 is an older model that requires extensive unscrewing for deep maintenance. Many top brands now include built-in combs, active blades, or specialized roller shapes to prevent hair wraps entirely:Conical Rollers: Models like the Roborock Qrevo Curv or Narwal Freo Z Ultra feature V-shaped or split rollers that naturally slide long hair down the barrel and directly into the suction port rather than letting it wrap around the axle.Built-in Pro-Detangle Combs: Brands like Eufy use physical, internal teeth to brush hair off the roller and straight into the dust bin while it cleans.

r/Roborock · Roborock Qrevo Curv dust bag Roborock has only two types of bags. The cubic bag for the top loaders. The elongated for the front loaders. Curv is the only exception. It's a top loader where they stuffed the elongated bag into. Roborock took no effort to design a matching bag. It looks weird, but isn't as bad as it might seem. When the vacuum motor is running, the bag inflates and still has significant volume. But sure, because it is bent on the top, it loses some of its capacity.

We have one for over a year now, it's pretty good, no issues and I come from a 6 years old Ecovacs Ozmo T8 Aivi - which had constant problems losing map etc. I can recommend this model, especially that's it's not newest anymore and can be brought at a discount.

r/RobotVacuums · Pet owners, which robot vacuum is better? If pet hair is a big factor, the Roborock Qrevo Curv is a solid option. It has strong cleaning performance, good hair-tangle prevention, and a self-maintenance dock that reduces upkeep. It also handles rugs and thresholds well and the mop feature works reliably. FWIW my mate and I kept seeing the Qrevo Curv recommended while researching. We checked RedditRecs to compare suggestions across Reddit. Some links are affiliate and help fund the analysis.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester I'm a [RTINGS.com](http://RTINGS.com) writer working with Justin, and I'd say this is about equivalent to our low-pile carpet. I'd recommend: * Roborock Saros 10R if it's within your budget (9.5/10 hard floor pickup, 6.5/10 low pile carpet, 8/10 mopping) * Roborock Qrevo Curv (9/10 hard floor, 6.5/10 low pile carpet, 8/10 mopping) * Roborock Qrevo (8.5, 6.5, 7.5) Breaking the Roborock mold, interestingly, the unpublished Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI had the best balance of all three performances at 8 hard floor, 7.5 low pile carpet, and 9.5 mopping. (!) Hope that helps!

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester Heya, chiming in as not-Justin but as a fellow RTINGS employee. I'll speak as an avowed fan of the Saros 10R, which does a lot of things right: navigation and obstacle avoidance are both good, the AdaptiLift chassis lifting system keeps it from getting stuck on a lot of common obstacles, and the slim design really does help if you want it to clean under couches or easy chairs. If you have mainly hardwood floors in your home, it's a very good choice (the mopping system is great too!) but honestly carpet performance is kinda meh. Has a bit of a hard time with pet hair too. If you don't need the fancy obstacle avoidance tech, the older Roborock Qrevo Curv is worth a look; unlike the Saros, it tends to run over smaller obstacles pretty often, but if you don't mind doing a bit of cleanup before letting it run (ie. tucking away charging cables, clearing away small stuff like socks or slippers left on the ground, maybe setting up no-go zones for areas you suspect might be an issue), it delivers similar cleaning performance, often at a cheaper price point since it's older. I don't want to say too much about the Dreame, largely because we haven't gotten our hands on the L50 Ultra yet - supposedly the new brushes are a big improvement versus the X50 that we did test, which as Justin mentioned, was one of our biggest gripe with it. That said, it's missing the X50's chassis lifting system, so we'd expect it to have a harder time crossing obstacles than the Roborock.

r/RobotVacuums · What to go for moving forwards? For pet hair pickup and hard floors some good options to look into are the Roborock Qrevo Curv, Qrevo Edge, or Soros 10R. Any Roborock with the duodivide main brush does a really good job with pet hair without tangling. Narwal has a couple solid options for hard floors with tons of hair in the Narwal Freo Z ultra and Narwal Flow.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy oh, nm, you answered! don't get the X9. the s8 is going to go on sale here on the 11th, wonder if it'll do so near you. bummer about the price. I'd get the regular curv.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy If the regular Edge/Curv is that low (its not in the US) grab that instead, for sure. Curious what the S8 MaxV Ultra is running for right now where you are? Check and LMK.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy Those are the ones that I recommend giving your parameters. The q Revo And curve both have spinning mops if you don't prefer those. But the S8 is a vibrating mop pad and it works better in my opinion than most rollers. The 10 has the same mop pad.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy Fine, bub, just saying your mom would love me:) So you've got two different classes of roborocks to look at. You've got the S8 maxv ultra, the curv/edge and the qrevo maxv... All around the same level of efficacy and cost. They're about a year old... And all great! Then you've got the saros 10 and 10r. Also great and have some improvements over the other class, but not enough to justify a huge change in price. I would say about $300 US dollars worth. If it's more than that, stick with something like the curve or S8.

r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra Any moving part is another part that can fail, that's a given in any product. Yes, the electrolyte water generator is another one for sure, albeit not mechanical. The whole idea of the onboard water tank though is to go longer with the mop pad without cleaning the mop pad, so it really is a flip side even if you can sidestep it.
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra > Z mops better than the Curv. Vacuum Wars has the Curv mopping score slightly higher than the Z. Waiting for their review.
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra Vacuum Wars currently lists the Narwal as #3, the Curv as #1, but without a video it's hard to tell what the cons are. I am mostly curious about how obstacle avoidance and hair faired in his tests. I did see a video that compared the Curv and the Narwal after some heavy heavy mess cleanup and it showed the difference in how clean the Narwal was afterwards compared to the Curv, which really made me lean towards the Narwal. The two things that make you lean towards Narwal - tresholds and the sidebrush extension are tough. I saw a video that showed the corner brush having a bit of a flaw, and the above video did mention rightfully that seems a likely point of failure on the vacuum. But yeah, I had settled on the Narwal but the order went sideways somehow so now am back in the same boat as you. Lastly, I don't now where you're at, where I am I can buy one at Costco vs the other at Amazon. I'd say based on observation of the various posts in the various subs warranty/service wise Costco would be preferable over dealing with the manufacturer directly. For reference here's the vid I mentioned. Different models but based on the tech I'd say the observations would hold up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJs6Wdq5izU
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra Except that would invalidate the argument that the Narwal uses too much water, cuz if you made the other robot wash its mops as often it would too. But that's because people don't do that, because they have an onboard water tank. Heck, having an onboard watertank is prefered for that reason - because it doesn't return to dock that often. Which means it doesn't wash the mops that often. Which means it drags the dirt around. I am done with this discussion.
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra It rewets the mop pad so it can go longer without returning to the base. Which means that it won't return to the base where it cleans the mop pads. This means it'll go longer without cleaning the mop pads. It's how cause and effect work. But I am sure it makes no sense at all.
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra >>Curv has an onboard water tank that electronically controls the liquid dispensing while the Z doesn't, which means the Z will be mopping the floors with inconsistent moisture distribution on the floors Flipside. Z doesn't have an onboard water tank so washes the pads when adding moisture so doesn't drag dirty pad around. One could also argue the mop extend is just another moving part that can break. To me the obstace avoidance and CostCo availability are the deciding factors and that means Narwal for me.

r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra That’s because robots with onboard water tanks can be customized on how frequent the mops are cleaned… that’s not gaslighting. You’re just not thinking
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra >It rewets the mop pad so it can go longer without returning to the base. Which means that it won't return to the base where it cleans the mop pads. Except it will. You are arguing a nonexistent issue
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra The onboard water tank is not so it can go longer without cleaning the mop pad. That is simply not true at all because otherwise they would not let you adjust the mop pad cleaning frequency. What you said doesn’t make sense at all.
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra Not really a flip side when the Curv also washes the pads during the cleaning process. You can set how frequently it does this so no it does not drag dirty mop pads around. The moving mop pad has been out for a while already with many brands copying this. Haven’t seen anyone say it’s been breaking. If having an additional feature = oh it’s going to break then you might as well factor in the electrolyte water generator might malfunction and break in the Z.
r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra Z won't mop better than the Curv. Curv has an onboard water tank that electronically controls the liquid dispensing while the Z doesn't, which means the Z will be mopping the floors with inconsistent moisture distribution on the floors. This is especially true if you use a cleaning detergent that helps soften up embedded dirt and dried stains. Chemical reactions help with cleaning a lot more than people think. Not having an onboard tank means the Z will also be going back to the station more to re-wet and reclean the mops over and over again so it takes longer to clean, you will be using more detergent over time which increasing the cost of maintenance from having to buy more detergent and mops due, plus you will be refilling and emptying the clean and dirty water tanks more often.

r/RobotVacuums · Which one to choose? Waiting for Black Friday deals I'm in the same boat (considering the L40 and Qrevo Curv). I was leaning L40, and still might be, but I noticed two things in a video by Just A Dad that gives me pause: 1. It looks like the side/edge brush doesn't engage on carpets/rugs with the L40. This wasn't something I even thought about, but in the video it seemed to make a difference with cleaning along the edge of rugs, where there might be dog hair build up or other dust/debris. The Qrevo Curv does use the side/edge brush to vacuum on and along rugs, which seemed to help. 2. The L40 seemed to have more logical navigation than the Qrevo Curv, but I liked how the Qrevo did a cross pattern on the floors (going one direction, than running again perpendicular). The L40 only went back and forth. These could both possibly be settings in the app, but that was what stuck out to me. r/RobotVacuums · Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs Eufy S1 Pro Omni vs Roborock Qrevo Curv Narwal Freo Z. I found The Narwal Freo Z's object avoidance to be great! However, it left much to be desired when comparing its quality of vacuuming, mopping, its mapping timing, ease of customizing and dividing rooms, and time to finish simple tasks like vacuuming a room. I was so looking forward to testing this flagship, and the app looked so promising, but the Narwal Freo Z was the most frustrating experience of the three flagship robots discussed on this thread, and of all of the six flagship combo robots that I tested. Object detection was not great. Although it ran over cables, then backed over them eventually freeing itself, it did avoid shoes. Basic vacuuming was horrible! And the Freo Z literally took six hours to get through HALF of an 1800 sqft mop job on a normal clean level setting! Frustrating! (5/10) The Roborock Qrevo Curv was the most aesthetically pleasing of the three. It performed well vacuuming on carpet and vacuuming mostly well on sides and hard to reach corners, and it has an incredibly robust and useful app. The mop pad extension is a fantastic feature, and it was the only robot that removed a strategically placed coffee stain in the kitchen. Well, it MOSTLY removed the stain. I'm sure it would have completely removed it if it were set to a more intense cleaning mode. But it did not handle pet hair well at all, leaving plenty of hair along the baseboards. I might have chosen the Qrevo Curv based on its single brush extension and mop extension features, but as I was testing its Vac & Mop feature on coffee grounds in the kitchen, it made a pass with the brush sweeping one half of the grounds and immediately mopping. When it returned to complete the pass the remaining grounds were on the left side of the machine where there is no sweeper, and I a wet mop pad, effectively trailing ice coffee for the rest of its run. Object detection for the Qrevo Curv was not very good, running right over cords and bumping into small objects. But the app for the Roborock is FANTASTIC! It is so customizable and allows such freedom and granularity, it should win an award by itself! (6/10) The Eufy S1 Pro Omni was the most solid vacuuming and mopping of all of the three vacuum/mop combos discussed on this thread. The app, however, has the fewest features. The S1 Pro Omni's double sweeper and cylindrical rolling mop outperformed the other two vacuum mops in all of the tests performed, with the exception of corner mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuuming of carpets and pet hair is outstanding! It way outperformed the others in mopping by easily completely removing coffee and other stains and messes. It did have a few misses as it approached kitchen cabinet overhangs, and corners., but give. That the others left debris behind, and mopped with it, I felt this was a fair trade-off. The high quality and consistency of cleaning and mopping, and the convenience of the mop's self-maintenance pushed the Eufy S1 Pro score ahead of the other two, despite the more basic app and lack of brush/mop pad extension. It cleaned the best, and it cleaned itself the best! (8/10)

r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra I have my doubts if the 3d system will be much better, i expect very small improvements. Obstacle detection works by an AI analysing the image against a trained dataset. Adding 3d to it will not matter much i think. If it can sense depth it still needs to differentiate between clumps of hair that need to be sucked away, a step to cross, and obstacles. Curious at reviews who make honest comparisions.

r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra It depends on what matters most to you, in my opinion all the flagship robots will do an excellent job with cleaning regardless of which one you choose. To me the most important aspect is automation without requiring me to interfere as much as possible, that’s what I would pay such money for, so obstacle avoidance matters to me most. I won’t pay $1000s to get stuck notifications or smear stuff, that’s the only reason why I’m going with the eufy s1 pro. My second floor is mostly carpet so I got the L60 SES and it’s absolutely perfect and the price is amazing for what you get. Wait for black friday and the price of those 2 eufys combined will be cheaper than the 2 options you mentioned. The only reason to get the Curv is if you have thresholds, which I don’t. Narwal goes through tons of water and its navigation is just so bizarre and inconsistent from what I’ve seen in videos.

r/RobotVacuums · Make me pull the right trigger: Roborock Qrevo Curv vs Narwal Freo Z Ultra 1. Do your cats make messes? If so, please look at Narwal. If not, go with Roborock’s QRevo Curv 2. Carrying the base station: if your first floor is the only floor that needs to be mopped, congrats you can just bring the robot itself between floors so you can choose the Q Revo Curv as I believe it’ll do better on carpets. If both floors need mopping: Narwal Freo Z Ultra requires that you bring the entire base station between floors, it has a handle built in for this purpose. Bring the robot, water tanks, and base station up and down separately. Q Revo Curv does not have a handle built into the base station. If that’s okay, please take out the water tanks and bring the tanks, base station, and robot up one by one. For reference, base stations are about 12-13kg without water in the water tanks. 3. Q Revo MAXV’s obstacle avoidance acted as bad as the one without a camera until they released a new firmware update. I suspect this will happen with the Curv too. Keep spamming them for an update :) 4. Totally miscellaneous but if you want to be able to put cat ears on the base station, I think the QRevo Curv would look cuter with them.

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review I returned mine (the price was not good) and cords earing is annoying. It should be easy fixable with new firmware, will see. I like qrevo master - solid performance and has everything I need. Qrevo slim is a better option on paper as it's smaller. But it's only in black color, and I want a white one. Anyway, I'm waiting for Black Friday deals. If qrevo will be priced right - I'll buy it again. If not - master. r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review Real. I always have to pick up and clip away cables, even things like cat food bowls before I let my robot loose. Because it'll just run over them and fuck itself up. Today I just grabbed my canister vacuum to get the sand around the litter box because I couldn't be assed to go around clipping things up and out of the way again.
r/RobotVacuums · NEW #1 on the Vacuum Wars Top 20 Best Robot Vacuum List - And Other Updates!! Huh that is interesting. I assume they had the same mopping technology and features basically.

r/RobotVacuums · NEW #1 on the Vacuum Wars Top 20 Best Robot Vacuum List - And Other Updates!! Is there a reason why the Curv got beat by the Master for mopping? Makes you wonder if the extra vacuum power it says is worth it. Was it just because of the automated detergent? Trying to decide between them both and we have a lot of tile and a little carpet/medium rug.

r/RobotVacuums · Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs Eufy S1 Pro Omni vs Roborock Qrevo Curv You know narwal and s1 dont have edge cleaning. So you need to vacuum also, you dont need to with curv, you dont need to vacuum anymore, unless you have furniture thats Block the robot vacuum.
r/RobotVacuums · Suggestions? Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs. Roborock S8 MaxV Yes Jamie andrews review it, and Said the hardfloor was below average, and the curv did suck a lot more dirt up in the carpet test. So yes freo has with no doubt the best avoidance system and mop system, but below average on hard floor and just normal on carpet. So with the curv you get almost the same mopping, better hardfloor and carpet and worse avoidance. If i was you, i would take both home and test them before making a decision.
r/RobotVacuums · Suggestions? Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs. Roborock S8 MaxV Do you mean avoidance ? The master Got 10 out og 12 at vacuumwars and they have the same avoidance system ? And the freo z get terrible hardfloor and carpet reviews, vacuum is kinda the most importen feature of a robotvacuum ? Freo Z has the best avoidance and mop feature, but the curv is very close with the mops, and detergent, it take 1 sec to put in the water ? At almost the same Price i would say the curv is a nobrainer. Has much longer batterylife, Can handle higher treshold, has better vacuum on hardfloor and carpet.

r/RobotVacuums · Suggestions? Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs. Roborock S8 MaxV The navigation on the curv is getting terrible reviews, the navigation is the best in the industry on the Freo Z, also the Curv doesn’t allow for auto detergent adding. The Roborock app has been really bad lately for mapping and it doesn’t let me rename rooms. I’m tired of buying “the best Roborock ever made” then seeing a better robot 3 months later. Also, Roborock gate keeps features behind models. I have 3 different Roborock, why can some allow room prioritization, some let you add furniture, some have threshold marking, etc, it’s software features that they don’t enable on all models. It’s frustrating, I’ll give Narwal a shot after 6 years of Roborock flagships.

r/RobotVacuums · Dreame X50 Pro reviews are in. One small leap for robot vacuums, one giant leap in convenience. The roborock qrevo curve or whatever the name is can go high enough so it goes over small bumps between doors which I think is useful. This however is not...

You should find a 3d printed canister to replace the bags. Complete game changer.
It's fantastic. Seems like better airflow than the bags so the robot empties more consistently. Really simple to empty also. If something happened to it, i would print another one before heading back to bags
It is. Do you or any friends have 3d printers? I had one print it up for me and it's been amazing
