HolyPommeDeTerrer/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 →2025-06-02
I took the e28 (amazon offered 12%) for the refillable cleaner solution and the standalone machine. We have a lot of pets and accidents every day. I got it 2 days ago. But overall it seems to match your experience with the e25 that is lower in price.

Regarding the streaks on the floor…do you use distilled water? I use my water set on medium with distilled water and there are no marks. Also, I put a thimble full of white vinegar in the dirty water tank to keep the smell pleasant. I’ve had my E 28 since they were released and it’s been a fabulous product for me. I live in the desert and have two dogs and it keeps my tile nice and clean.

draculesti06r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review →2025-07-22
Awesome review! I'll add my quick two cents as well since I have also had both the E28 and now the V50 for about a week I totally agree about your roller vs spinning mop assessment. I actually have found the V50 to mop significantly better in my house than the E28. My kitchen often has flour caked on the floor (messy partner). The E28 would leave big splotches of it every time, even when I had it mop the room twice. The V50 got it all in one go the first time. I also absolutely hate cleaning the E28's dirty water tank and roller, which you absolutely have to do weekly if you mop regularly because it gets very nasty. I really think now that roller mops are a gimmick that provides no advantage in normal household use I found the E28's overall navigation to be better in some awkward rooms with a lot of furniture, but the V50 I found gets closer to edges much better Object avoidance seems much better on the V50 so far. It has detected a lot more things than the E28 ever did in my house. One example, I have a rubber mat with small raised edges that I set cat food and water on. The E28 would want to steamroll over it every time and would get caught and spill the water dish, I had to add a no go zone. The V50 avoided it without issue first try. I'm struggling to get the V50 to go under my bed, which it absolutely can fit if it lowers the lidar and is well within the advertised height. My testing on this so far has actually been concerning, it literally smacks its lidar on the bottom of the bedframe and won't go under, and I'm a bit worried it might damage itself. I know it can lower the lidar since it does it under my dressers, so still tinkering with settings to figure the bed issue out I think Mova and Dreame has an issue with its wheels on models that can raise themselves. I was super impressed during its first run just how quiet it was, but after it lifted itself over a threshold the first time it now sounds like it's rattling on hardwood floors. I've heard similar stories from Mova and Dreame owners so I'm wondering if this is just to be expected. I'm going to open a support ticket for this

You can definitely schedule a zone clean; it's a custom task that you then schedule in the last step. I use this to clean the muddy area in front of outside facing doors. Hope this screenshot helps. <image>

Destructtor0r/RobotVacuums · Dreame L40 Ultra, Dreame X40 Ultra Complete or Mova P50 Pro Ultra (and perhaps Ecovacs T80)? →2025-05-22
I tried the eufy e28 (way too loud) and the L40 and now I have the mova p50. L40 was ok. Didn't detect my rugs properly and was pretty good on object avoidance but the reason I returned it was because it was always leaving water on the bottom of the base station. Gross water that I'm sure would start smelling over time. The base station or the P50 drains and has always stayed clean. For pnject avoidance, in my experience, it's much better than the L40 and it detects ALL my rugs properly. From what I'm reading on vacuum wars, the ecovacs are good at cleaning but worse than the L40 at object avoidance. We aren't necessarily cleaning up the floors before the vacuum runs everyday and the cats sometimes knock something down like a string that dangles and I don't need my vacuum eating half of it and tearing the house down around it :) I'm so happy with the P50, I bought a second for our top floor I should also add that the L40 is newer than the X40 and I've heard that it's better in some respects. The P50 appears to be between the L40 and the X50.

Definitely better with. I love how it gives cables and shoes, (especially useful for those with laces) a wide berth. Yes you lose a few centimeters of mopping around them, but the reduction of trapped robot incidents or damage is well worth it.

It's my pleasure! I know it's exhausting shopping for one right now. About your Qrevo, that's disappointing, and I'd definitely recommend returning it. It's kind of like a lottery at this point of whether you'll get a good quality product. The problem is that it's not just one brand, but all of them. The Qrevo is solid, but I definitely understand not wanting to get another one. The X50 we got did perform okay, but I was underwhelmed for it's price at the time. Additionally, I borrowed our unit to try in my apartment for a month, and it would drop dust bunnies all around my apartment. This could fully be a case of we received a defective unit, but since we buy everything out of pocket, we leave it up to brands to ask us to buy a new one if they don't agree with our results. The Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni matched or outperformed the X50 in our pickup performance testing so that might be a good option. It has worse obstacle avoidance (6/10 vs 8.8/10) than the X50 though, if that was a priority. Both have great battery life. If you're open to trying another Roborock, the S8 Max V is a solid choice. There's also the Qrevo Slim, which is the precursor to the Saros 10R, but with the same dual rollers as the S8 Max V.

DrPoopyPantsJrr/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review →2025-07-22
I’m really interested in this one. I actually have the v50 showing up Monday but I’m already thinking of keeping it boxed and sending it back because I have been using a Dreame l40 ultra that I’ve been pretty impressed with and while I’m sure the v50 is better, will I think it’s $500 better when it’s just me and my dog in a 1 bed apartment with mostly hard floors? Probably not. I also had the e28 myself and share some of your complaints so I sent it back. I know a lot of people are sold on the idea of roller mops over spinning mops but after being able to test both, I definitely agree that a good spinning mop is better than a subpar roller mop. And tbh, unless you have a lot of spills or overly stained/dirty floors, you’re really not going to see much of a difference in performance between a roller and spin mop. I’ve had the eufy e28, ecovacs t80 Omni and they both returned the same amount of dirty water as the l40 ultra did.

jimbabwaer/RobotVacuums · Impressed with Deebot T80 Omni and comparison to Eufy E25 →2025-07-14
I am a couple days in of testing both robots as well (E28), bought during Prime Day, and absolutely share the same sentiment as you so far. I was hesitant to purchase the T80 a day after the E28 due to the mostly negative reviews on here regarding ecovacs, but thought I owed it to myself to test it as well. The T80 mapped, vacuumed, and vac + mopped so far without getting stuck once. The E28, however, got stuck just now on its first vacuum 4 times by getting tangled in small wires in my office. Watching the E28 vacuum definitely felt like it was way more aggressive in trying to clean around table/chair legs and carpets so much that it pushed them around and scratched itself up in the process. The E28 also can't fit under our cabinets due to the LIDAR sensor sticking up, but the T80 could. The T80 also did seem to be a little quieter on Standard compared to E28 Turbo, but is significantly more quiet on "Quiet" mode compared to E28 "Quiet" mode. I also agree regarding the mapping and room separation is better on the T80 vs E25/28 app. The Eufy app made so many rooms it took me a while to edit and sort them out, whereas the Ecovacs map was pretty good off the bat, and the map is much easier to modify and edit than the Eufy app. I'm about to try mopping with the E28 soon as well for comparison, but it will have to do wonders to have us keep it at this rate.

I was setting up my brand new e28 for the first time and the cleaning solution tank cover broke. Anyone else had that problem? I jumped on their website to do a chat and the AI told me it was a known problem and a replacement part would be organised. I was then transferred to a human who refused to send a replacement part and told me to solve the matter with the store I purchased it from. Wow. Customer service fail.

VegasKLr/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review →2026-01-04
The accessories are kind of expensive—this is the only true “con” for me! I wish I could use a cheaper, generic cleaning solution—the Eufy brand is $20 a bottle. Luckily it only needs to be refilled every 3-6 months. You can use Bona Hardwood Cleaner (Super Concentrated) and poor a shotglass full into the clean water tank. It was the OEM for many of the branded robot cleaners. A $25 gallon bottle lasts about a year or so. A lot of the 3rd-party accessories work fine. On two occasions, when I’ve scheduled single room cleanings, it has “forgetten” the map and returned to the dock. I suspect that's because an object was in the way during positioning. Not sure, though. This can happen if it thinks it detects a new room or zone and it's annoying. It happens with many robot vacuums -- the reason for it is that they continue to run the auto-map functionality on any "Clean Everywhere" (some makers run it more frequently). I don't know about your house, but my walls don't change .. once it's mapped, they really should have an option to lock the map. It's frustrating because if it detects a big enough change to create a new "room" on the map, it will disable all of your existing schedules.

I share most of your opinions about the e28. I just posted a review myself comparing it to the ecovacs T80 Omni which I feel does a better job. I know everyone is gung-ho on the roller mop design but I think a good spinning mop vac is better than a subpar roller mop. I’m sure we will eventually get a roller or track mop option from Roborock and I expect it will be one of the best performers as Roborock typically is.

I have the E28 (same robot as E25, different base station). It was working fine for a month but now is leaking dirty water EVERYWHERE. It drips while cleaning, and if I pick it up (carefully and without tilting it, mind you) muddy water spills out from underneath all over the place. I do clean the dirty water tank regularly and make sure it's assembled properly every time. Absolutely terrible robot.

DrPoopyPantsJrr/RobotVacuums · Eufy E25 quick review →2025-07-11
I agree it leaves too much water behind. There isn’t much in the grey water tank after a run with the e28 I am using. I have also been testing the T80 Omni and on the contrary, it leaves a lot less water behind and there is much more dirty water in the grey water tank. The problem I am concerned with is ecovacs reliability and poor customer support. Yes it may work well now but who knows how it will perform in a few months. Even r/ecovacs seems to have a ton of negative comments telling people to stay away from their products. And on top of that, a lot of the positive posts and comments you find there are fake marketing accounts. So ya idk part of me just wants to wait until there are more roller mop offerings.. dreame, mova and narwal have some that should be hopefully released in the US soon. And I’m hoping we get one from Roborock too.

I have the E28 and am loving it. Very good cleaning performance on my hardwoods and my low pile rugs. The only complaint I have is for some reason it’s left some dirty water drops on the ground while cleaning the past few cleans. Not sure why, as I clean the dirty water tank on the robot weekly. Have you had this issue?

draculesti06r/RobotVacuums · Long hair friendly Auto Vacuum? →2025-12-31
I have a household with long human hair and a lot of cat hair. Have experiences recently with the following robots Eufy E28: Very good vacuuming performance and never got a tangle on the roller. It very frequently got clogged with cat hair when auto emptying however. Like, one out of every two times basically. Mova V50: Decent vacuuming performance, also never get tangles, but the bristles on one of the rollers sometimes would get a little caked with cat hair. Probably my favorite of the three. Roborock Saros 10R: Poor vacuuming performance in my experience, misses a lot of debris and drops clumps of hair when vacuuming carpet. No tangles on the rollers but strangely I was getting some hair tangling in the rear wheels.

I've had the Eufy e28 for since June (after switching from the Eufy Omni 10 which completely died). My first Eufy e28 had a "communication error between base station and robot" which was unfixable and the robot was completely replaced in less than 3 months. Then the replacement had the same error in less than a month. This is a VERY common issue with the e28s. So much so the company told me they couldn't replace it because theyre low on stock.

I would say Eufy does a decent job faster. I didn't do very controlled testing, but the roller mop does have its advantage of being washed real time when cleaning. Vacuuming is slightly worse than 10R. If we want a quick run of the entire house while we are out for a walk, we really don't want to come back to the house an hour later to find only half of the house cleaned. I know 10R is going to be slower than our old S7, but didn't expect it to be almost twice as slow.

It worked rather well, I had figured out how to use the app and they have made updates since, but certain details convinced me to send it back: the maintenance it requires: I put detergent, I left it in powerful drying and I did maintenance once a week and yet the station smelled bad. The noise too, it is very loud. Finally, I almost never used the spot cleaner. Also, I don’t think the vacuum uses the detergent, in several months the level has barely moved. And the fact that it doesn’t fit under my kitchen cabinets… I have the narwal since few days. For the moment, what can I say is the e28 was little more powerfull in vaccum and was faster to clean the house. Mop is better with the narwal Flow, but not a huge difference.

I had the opposite experience. I bought the yeedi s14 plus (which is the yeedi twin version to the ecovacs x8 Omni, same exact hardware and software) and it was awful. I really loved it at first but over time it constantly got lost, skipped areas or rooms, even with obstacle avoidance off. It “pissed” all over my floors and then hardware started to fail including the internal lidar that stopped spinning which caused it to not work at all unless I manually started to spin it. The mop lifting mechanism started to fail and would not lift or extend/retract. I got it to work again but I was not confident it would not fail again permanently. I was constantly having to clean the robot and the base as it got so dirty. It used a ton of water like i had to fill and empty the clean and water tanks at least a couple times a week. When it worked I was impressed with cleaning performance but it just became a headache and the mopping performance wasn’t great either pretty mediocre actually. Luckily Amazon allowed for an exception return and full refund. I ended up getting the eufy e28 for $800 ($150~ cheaper than the s14) which was not out at the time I bought the yeedi. It’s been excellent so far the mopping performance is definitely a step up and it’s been very consistent and through as far as navigation goes. The vacuuming is much more quiet even on max and it cleans all of my short and one medium pile rugs satisfactorily which was something that I was concerned about but it’s been great and I have two large dogs including a German shepherd who sheds unbelievably). If you’re not happy with the eufy, which is surprising to me, then I at least wouldn’t recommend an ecovacs there’s a reason so many people on here have bad experiences similar to mine. My two cents is go with the mova or even the new narwhal that’s coming out with the roller style mop if you truly don’t want to continue with the eufy e28. I went with the eufy after reading so much good feedback from Reddit users. I don’t trust vaccum wars much anymore and rely on real world experiences from various Reddit threads and my own needs.
