r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review Regarding the streaks on the floor…do you use distilled water? I use my water set on medium with distilled water and there are no marks. Also, I put a thimble full of white vinegar in the dirty water tank to keep the smell pleasant. I’ve had my E 28 since they were released and it’s been a fabulous product for me. I live in the desert and have two dogs and it keeps my tile nice and clean.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Deals I wouldn't buy a robot until July 8th, and I wouldn't buy a robot that wasn't on deep discount during a sale. I can't release Eufy sales yet, but I don't recommend the e28, regardless.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester I test differently than you all do, I run products in my house in three different zones over the course of 3 weeks. But that house has a number of natural obstacles and a shocking number of robots don't rise to the occasion. My point simply being that I think other testers are also being thorough, I don't think that's the distinguishing Factor. I think we just test differently and that there are inconsistencies in the robots themselves. But your outfit also thought the e28 was a good vacuum and I've yet to test a eufy that I didn't want to throw at a wall. I think it's nice We live in a time when there's so many different people doing different kinds of testing. And I will never stop being fascinated by the fact that almost all of the testers are male.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Deals I think a vibrating pad is better than anything else. It doesn't make sense. I mean, twin spinning pads should be the most effect, and a single pad that looks like a swiffer should be the least. But.... in practice, its just not how it shakes out. The fact that the pad vibrates helps more than it should. Particularly in later models like Saros with those lifting chassis, they exert pressure on the mop area. DEF better than twin mop pads, and arguably more effective than most rollers except in one way: a vibrating pad can't extend beyond the robot, so you will have the issue of a band around objects and walls, etc. But... not all rollers extend, either (the e25/28 doesn't).
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Deals A review on the e25 will appear tomorrow that also discusses the e28. While the hardware is set up to succeed... the software sucks. Throws errors all the time. I wasn't blown away by the mop, either. There's some real oddities around the way these 2 models operate.
r/RobotVacuums · Big Deal Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy Honestly, no robot does that. Bumpy anything is tough for robots. I have bumpy tile, so I am speaking from experience, and mine isn't even that bumpy. I'd focus on vacuuming, and not on mopping. With that many pets, hair and debris is an issue. I'd look at a J15 model, since it can cut through hair and is overall, good at all features. i don't recommend Eufy models.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Deals Actually, all of their cameras work fantastic for me, including the doorbell. No, my issue was that it kept throwing errors and was unusable. But feel free to try it and see how it goes.

r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review Awesome review! I'll add my quick two cents as well since I have also had both the E28 and now the V50 for about a week * I totally agree about your roller vs spinning mop assessment. I actually have found the V50 to mop significantly better in my house than the E28. My kitchen often has flour caked on the floor (messy partner). The E28 would leave big splotches of it every time, even when I had it mop the room twice. The V50 got it all in one go the first time. I also absolutely hate cleaning the E28's dirty water tank and roller, which you absolutely have to do weekly if you mop regularly because it gets very nasty. I really think now that roller mops are a gimmick that provides no advantage in normal household use * I found the E28's overall navigation to be better in some awkward rooms with a lot of furniture, but the V50 I found gets closer to edges much better * Object avoidance seems much better on the V50 so far. It has detected a lot more things than the E28 ever did in my house. One example, I have a rubber mat with small raised edges that I set cat food and water on. The E28 would want to steamroll over it every time and would get caught and spill the water dish, I had to add a no go zone. The V50 avoided it without issue first try. * I'm struggling to get the V50 to go under my bed, which it absolutely can fit if it lowers the lidar and is well within the advertised height. My testing on this so far has actually been concerning, it literally smacks its lidar on the bottom of the bedframe and won't go under, and I'm a bit worried it might damage itself. I know it can lower the lidar since it does it under my dressers, so still tinkering with settings to figure the bed issue out * I think Mova and Dreame has an issue with its wheels on models that can raise themselves. I was super impressed during its first run just how quiet it was, but after it lifted itself over a threshold the first time it now sounds like it's rattling on hardwood floors. I've heard similar stories from Mova and Dreame owners so I'm wondering if this is just to be expected. I'm going to open a support ticket for this
r/RobotVacuums · Long hair friendly Auto Vacuum? I have a household with long human hair and a lot of cat hair. Have experiences recently with the following robots Eufy E28: Very good vacuuming performance and never got a tangle on the roller. It very frequently got clogged with car hair when auto emptying however. Like, one out of every two times basically. Mova V50: Decent vacuuming performance, also never get tangles, but the bristles on one of the rollers sometimes would get a little caked with cat hair. Probably my favorite of the three. Roborock Saros 10R: Poor vacuuming performance in my experience, misses a lot of debris and drops clumps of hair when vacuuming carpet. No tangles on the rollers but strangely I was getting some hair tangling in the rear wheels.
r/RobotVacuums · Eufy E25 quick review I have the E28 (same robot as E25, different base station). It was working fine for a month but now is leaking dirty water EVERYWHERE. It drips while cleaning, and if I pick it up (carefully and without tilting it, mind you) muddy water spills out from underneath all over the place. Absolutely terrible robot.

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review You can definitely schedule a zone clean; it's a custom task that you then schedule in the last step. I use this to clean the muddy area in front of outside facing doors. r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review We use tap water, but maybe we should switch to distilled—thanks for this tip, and for the vinegar trick. I’m going to try the latter right now! My kitchen is the only room where I set it to high for water, but when I set it to medium (which is the default for all other rooms), I don’t get any streaks.
r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review yes, I just figured this out! thanks for this—I’ve updated my post. so glad folks corrected me on this!!
r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review OK, I just did a proper cleaning/maintenance session, and I totally get what you mean now! I'm not fussed about the hoses, but that layer of grime on the bottom of the dirty water tank was pretty gross. I was able to get to it with one of my husband’s old electric shaver brushes.
r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review It’s perfect so far. It’s a smaller bin, and sometimes it has to stop in the middle of a session to empty. There’s been no problems, though, and no moisture in the dust bin or the bag after 63 uses. I guess we’ll see what happens over time. I can’t answer to why it’s engineered to mop and vac at once, but I haven’t noticed any issues with it mopping over debris that the vacuum missed. I’m not super observant though, lol, and in high traffic areas, I have it do 2 passes on most days. Maybe that’s enough to get the job done.
r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review Ah, that’s what I wanted—I wanted to schedule it to clean the litter box area on the second level of our house (since the budget robo vac I bought expressly for this purpose just can’t seem to do the job)! So I just double checked the app and figured out that I was wrong! You can do a zone cleaning, save it as a “common task,” which allows you to schedule it! Thank you for checking me in this! I’ll update my post.

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review Definitely better with. I love how it gives cables and shoes, (especially useful for those with laces) a wide berth. Yes you lose a few centimeters of mopping around them, but the reduction of trapped robot incidents or damage is well worth it.
r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review I don't really keep track as I leave it set to auto update. I don't think there's any history that tracks it

r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review I’m really interested in this one. I actually have the v50 showing up Monday but I’m already thinking of keeping it boxed and sending it back because I have been using a Dreame l40 ultra that I’ve been pretty impressed with and while I’m sure the v50 is better, will I think it’s $500 better when it’s just me and my dog in a 1 bed apartment with mostly hard floors? Probably not. I also had the e28 myself and share some of your complaints so I sent it back. I know a lot of people are sold on the idea of roller mops over spinning mops but after being able to test both, I definitely agree that a good spinning mop is better than a subpar roller mop. And tbh, unless you have a lot of spills or overly stained floors, you’re really not going to see much of a difference in performance between a roller and spin mop. I’ve had the eufy e28, ecovacs t80 Omni and they both returned the same amount of dirty water as the l40 ultra did.
r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 Updating here that I tried a 3rd party solution and after a couple days the mop couldn’t run for more than a couple minutes before erroring out and telling me to contact customer service. I ended up removing the solution and cleaning it all out of the reservoir and had to soak the roller in vinegar to remove it all and finally it stopped erroring out. Not 100% sure if it was the root cause but just sharing my experience with others and recommending to stick with eufy’s cleaning solution.
r/RobotVacuums · Impressed with Deebot T80 Omni and comparison to Eufy E25 The x40 that I bought was refurbished and had wonky navigation so I sent it back, but bought a new l40 ultra and I really like it. The navigation is pretty good and object avoidance has been pretty solid too. Is it perfect? No. And the T80 is probably still a bit better at mopping. But it was good enough for me to realize that it wasn’t worth paying the extra money for the T80 or e28. So both of them got sent back and I kept the l40 ultra. As for the Mova v50, I have it sitting in its box still in my house as I decided I’m going to send it back for the fact that I don’t feel it’s worth me spending twice the price as the l40 ultra for what is likely marginal performance gains. Don’t get me wrong I am sure it is better, but I’ve come to the conclusion that the robot vac tech is just moving so quickly that spending money on a premium robot whose features will be dated in just a couple years wasn’t a good idea. So I’m happy with the performance of the l40 ultra and will be keeping that one.
r/RobotVacuums · Eufy E25 quick review What made you go X9 over t80? They seem to be very similar. I am testing the t80 and e28 in parallel and I agree with most of your points. I think the biggest downside you laid out was that it leaves a lot of water behind. I honestly thought it was a good thing at first but now realize it’s probably the opposite. I immediately noticed how much more t80 picks back up vs the e28. Are you returning the e25 and keeping the x9? Or is that what you’re ultimately still trying to decide? I keep going back and forth on which to keep and now I’m debating if I should also go x9 over t80… people in this sub do not seem to think highly of ecovacs which I feel is causing me some bias in my opinions.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Deals I just bought it as Amazon had a clip-able $150 coupon because I want to test it before I commit long term and Amazon returns are super easy. If I like it and it goes lower than that then I’ll just exchange it for the cheaper price.

r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 I have the E28 and am loving it. Very good cleaning performance on my hardwoods and my low pile rugs. The only complaint I have is for some reason it’s left some dirty water drops on the ground while cleaning the past few cleans. Not sure why, as I clean the dirty water tank on the robot weekly. r/Lymow_Official · Dear Lymow: Neato vacuums had superior navigation over a decade ago 100% plumbed. All 3 of mine are plumbed in. Once a month I clean the trays, brushes and add detergent. Bought a Eufy E28 as a gift for a clients new office and I’m impressed. Especially for $650 so I think Wify is starting to make a good impression in the vacuum space. I may take a look at them when it’s time if they end up offering a plumb option.

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review The vacuum is before the roller and is smaller than the roller. The vacuum part never goes over the wet vloer unless you do criss-cross pattern. But it uses so little water, it never ever sucks up it's own water. If there is a spill, you're screwed :p but don't be lazy and wipe up your spill manually ;)
r/RobotVacuums · Want to return Eufy E28 for ECOVACS X8 Omni or Mova Z50 Ultra. Need advice :) I have the exact opposite problem. My wall skirts are 1.5cm wide but lower than the lidar and side sensor, the robot wants to drive close to the wall but repeatedly hits the wall skirt. It is the inverse problem of yours. Open a support case with eufy through the app, they respond to you. They request I replicate the problemen, then send the app log with a timestamp. So at least they are open for my problem.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester Hi, I'm the [RTINGS.com](http://RTINGS.com) writer who works with Justin and will be writing this review Soon™. Our testing shows the E28 scores well with hard floor cleaning (8/10), not-so-good with carpet or pet hair (5/10), OK for obstacle avoidance (7/10) and so-so on mopping (6/10). The tester did some informal testing with the handheld deep cleaner and found it did surprisingly well (and this was on a dried coffee stain on deep pile green carpet!) Took a lot of work but the results seem well worth it. Also well built (8.5/10) but a bit maintenance intensive (4.5/10) and high recurring cost (3/10). Really good battery life though (9.7/10). All in all, pretty decent except for the carpet performance. If you do have a lot of carpet, the handheld cleaner is quite good but you'll have to do the hard work yourself.

r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 I didn’t encounter that. Mine cleaned puddle free till now.
r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 Thanks for adding your perspective. I am a Little confused by the detergent situation as eufy implemented a refillable bottle in the e28, but didn’t on the e25. You could always drill the bottle on top and put in your own or eufys solution. At least that’s what i am going to do. I am glad they improved their customer service. Can I ask you what region you are from?
r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 I think you’ve made the right choice. I don’t feel like the Portable wet cleaner of the E28 adds much value overall. Bissl cleaners are relatively cheap and I don’t think it’s worth the tradeoff for a much louder station and bigger footprint. The E25 has the cleaning solution cartridge that needs to be replaced instead of being refillable, but you can easily put a cap of your favourite solution directly into the clean water tank, if you don’t want to use the cartridges, so I don’t think it’s a major flaw. I hope you will enjoy your E25!
r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 The c20 is honestly not comparable to the others. Either get the E25 or E28 and be aware that the E28 is a first gen product in regards to the portable cleaner. The E25 has the quieter station.
r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 Congrats on making a great decision. Mine is working everyday with minimal hiccups. I change the water once a week and look for filters and bags once a month. I clean it when I see that there is excess dirt accumulating. You should get a extra mop, some dust bags and some Hepa filters. Other than that it’s mostly doing its thing without me even noticing.

r/RobotVacuums · Want to return Eufy E28 for ECOVACS X8 Omni or Mova Z50 Ultra. Need advice :) u/Careful-Ad-8704 wanted to follow back up on the issues you said you were having with the apps? Seems like a great recommendation to throw out there. In seeing your post I did send it over... though it does seem to navigate under mine just fine (and yes its a tight fit). The water droplet issue should be no more - grab the new water reservoir from Eufy. I heard they are sending out notifications in app to get a replacement. I didnt see one yet - but I did get a replacement from CS and it works good. What issues are you having b/w apps? I use the main MEGA/Eufy app and dont have any issues with operation?

r/RobotVacuums · Impressed with Deebot T80 Omni and comparison to Eufy E25 I am a couple days in of testing both robots as well (E28), bought during Prime Day, and absolutely share the sentiment as you. I was hesitant to purchase the T80 a day after the E28 due to the mostly negative reviews on here regarding ecovacs, but thought I owed it to myself to test it as well. The T80 mapped, vacuumed, and vac + mopped so far without getting stuck once. The E28, however, got stuck just now on its first vacuum 4 times by getting tangled in small wires in my office. Watching the E28 vacuum definitely felt like it was way more aggressive in trying to clean around table/chair legs and carpets so much that it pushed them around and scratched itself up in the process. The E28 also can't fit under our cabinets due to the LIDAR sensor sticking up, but the T80 could. The T80 also did seem to be a little quieter on Standard compared to E28 Turbo, but is significantly on "Quiet" compared to E28 "Quiet" mode. I also agree regarding the mapping and room separation is better on the T80 vs E25/28 app. The Eufy app made so many rooms it took me a while to edit and sort them out, whereas the Ecovacs map was pretty good off the bat, and the map is much easier to modify and edit than the Eufy app. I'm about to try mopping with the E28 soon as well for comparison, but it will have to do wonders to have us keep it at this rate.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Deals Yes, just googled and found it. So looks like your main concern is with the App not communicating with the robot? Honestly, I have had that frustrating experience with their doorbell, which I ended up returning because it wouldn't load the video. That said, I wonder why other people are not facing that issue. I may just pick it up and give it a try, and maybe I'll end up returning it if I face the same problems.

r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 Just ordered E28 yesterday and managed to grab it at a great price. It’s actually my first robovac, and I spent nearly 3 weeks researching before deciding. Mopping was my main concern, and Eufy’s roller mop setup looked way better than those spinning ones, so that sealed the deal for me. The spot cleaning feature also caught my eye. How’s yours been holding up so far? Has it been worth it? And if you have any tips for keeping it in good shape

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e25 or roborock curve s5x If mopping is your main priority, you should just look at Eufy. The spinning mops are outdated; they have only one water tank, which means they must return to the base to wash the mop. But eufy S1 Pro, E28, and E25 have two water tanks, allowing them to wash the mop while mopping, so they don’t spread dirt around. I have a UK version of E25, and I love it! It’s so much better than my previous spinning mops.

r/RobotVacuums · My Review of the new eufy E25 S2 could cost a lot more.. It targets a different group of people thats willing to spend that much for the robots. People that are mainstream looking for value and performance at the mid level, would probably find the e25/e28 as the best Robovac at the time being.

r/RobotVacuums · Dreame L40 Ultra, Dreame X40 Ultra Complete or Mova P50 Pro Ultra (and perhaps Ecovacs T80)? I tried the eufy e28 (way too loud) and the L40 and now I have the mova p50. L40 was ok. Didn't detect my rugs properly and was pretty good on object avoidance but the reason I returned it was because it was always leaving water on the bottom of the base station. Gross water that I'm sure would start smelling over time. The base station or the P50 drains and has always stayed clean. For pnject avoidance, in my experience, it's much better than the L40 and it detects ALL my rugs properly. From what I'm reading on vacuum wars, the ecovacs are good at cleaning but worse than the L40 at object avoidance. We aren't necessarily cleaning up the floors before the vacuum runs everyday and the cats sometimes knock something down like a string that dangles and I don't need my vacuum eating half of it and tearing the house down around it :) I'm so happy with the P50, I bought a second for our top floor

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review Sadly it’s long gone from my house. I feel like it didn’t have an issue with the hair tangling at all. The mop was just awful to clean and would stink no matter how often I cleaned it.
r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review The dirty tank on the robot itself has hoses and grooves you can’t clean. I’ve even tried soaking it with no luck. Behind the roller gets this layer of grime that is absolutely foul. I should probably clean it weekly but I don’t- which is my fault. But to be honest, I bought it to run and essentially “set it and forget it” I don’t mind cleaning the robots but this one requires more attention.

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review I currently have the X10 Pro Omni and have 2 cats, but I have to de-tangle it almost every couple of days because the hair/fur starts balling up around the brush despite having it on max suction and self emptying every 15 minutes (and it has that "Anti-tangle comb" where it spins the brush backwards to capture the hairs supposedly). I saw the E25/28 had new rollers that seem to actually NOT tangle. How has your experience been regarding that?

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review I was setting up my brand new e28 for the first time and the cleaning solution tank cover broke. Anyone else had that problem? I jumped on their website to do a chat and the AI told me it was a known problem and a replacement part would be organised. I was then transferred to a human who refused to send a replacement part and told me to solve the matter with the store I purchased it from. Wow. Customer service fail.

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review >The accessories are kind of expensive—this is the only true “con” for me! I wish I could use a cheaper, generic cleaning solution—the Eufy brand is $20 a bottle. Luckily it only needs to be refilled every 3-6 months. You can use Bona Hardwood Cleaner (Super Concentrated) and poor a shotglass full into the clean water tank. It was the OEM for many of the branded robot cleaners. A $25 gallon bottle lasts about a year or so. >On two occasions, when I’ve scheduled single room cleanings, it has “forgetten” the map and returned to the dock. I suspect that's because an object was in the way during positioning. Not sure, though. This can happen if it thinks it detects a new room or zone and it's annoying. It happens with many robot vacuums -- the reason for it is that they continue to run the auto-map functionality on any "Clean Everywhere" (some makers run it more frequently). I don't know about your house, but my walls don't change .. once it's mapped, they really should have an option to lock the map.

r/RobotVacuums · Eufy e28: One month review How's the bag compartment? I just absolutely can't get my head around how it can vaucum and mop at the same time. Surely it gets some moisture in the bin and then it lands in the dust bag. I've also seen on videos, that when it cleans and doesn't suck dry debris before mopping, they can just remain on the floor and end up not being picked up as kinda stick to the floor. Really weird thing on Eufys that they don't do mop only mode. Roborock does it, Dreame does it, even Dysons new robot with a roller has mop only. Really, really can't get my head around how it can vacuum and mop at the same time. Especially that it definitely overlaps passes so surely it basically sucks off wet floor.

r/Roborock · Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy Omni e28 one week review Sounds like your first floor is handled already by the eufy S1, and you want to replace one of the Roborock S7s on the second or third floor with Roborock Saros 10R? If those floors are not traveled by dogs and have not much hair or muddy prints, I would recommend the Saros 10R. Maintenance wise, it's almost none compared to the eufy e28 I have. Every week I check the brushes, mops, and mop cleaning head, and they are all clean. I replace the mops and hand wash them just in case, but I feel like it's not really necessary. However, the dirty water tank of Saros 10R smells too (I don't use any cleaning solution though). I can only smell it when I empty it, and otherwise it's sealed shut, so I don't mind it that much. However, if you want the robot to deal with muddy prints, then I would say a roller mop like your eufy S1 or the e28 would be much more effective. Yes there is a lot of maintenance, but I feel like it will handle the muddy prints a lot better than Saros 10R. I don't have dogs so I can't say. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
r/Roborock · Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy Omni e28 one week review I feel like eufy uses less fresh water too, because I fill it's tank less frequently. I have roborock and eufy both set to use medium water level for most of the house. Eufy leaves a bit more water, which evaporates in about 15 mins (relatively dry climate). Eufy's dirty water tank is also a bit dirtier than roborock's, even more so after I start to use their detergent.
r/Roborock · Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy Omni e28 one week review I saw your review yesterday! It's very informative! I actually structured my review based on yours. Are you going to keep both? I was also looking at both Eufy e28 and Ecovacs T80 Omini for their roller mop. In the end I went with Eufy because of the brand reliability, more rectangular robot body (wider mop), and detachable cleaner.
r/Roborock · Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy Omni e28 one week review I would say Eufy does a decent job faster. I didn't do very controlled testing, but the roller mop does have its advantage of being washed real time when cleaning. Vacuuming is slightly worse than 10R. If we want a quick run of the entire house while we are out for a walk, we really don't want to come back to the house an hour later to find only half of the house cleaned. I know 10R is going to be slower than our old S7, but didn't expect it to be almost twice as slow.
r/Roborock · Roborock Saros 10R and Eufy Omni e28 one week review I run the Eufy e28 first, hoping it would mop away some grime or food scrap on the floor, before 10R comes in and "polish" with its spinning mops. So far the combo has been doing a great job. We don't wear socks at home in the summer, and have noticed the floor much cleaner/smoother. I've seen a reddit post of someone's e28 cleaning milk spill away pretty decently, but given how little water the robot uses onboard to wash the mop, I guess it still ends up smearing the milk around a bit. We have a Tineco wet/dry vacuum (not robot) with the roller mop, which uses a lot of water to clean its mop and likely has higher suction. Compared with that, e28 is more suitable for daily maintenance. Ah I didn't see the unit setting in product info! Thought it's in the same place as S7/S8 (Settings > More Options). Thank you! Let me update the post.

r/RobotVacuums · Want to return Eufy E28 for ECOVACS X8 Omni or Mova Z50 Ultra. Need advice :) I've had the Eufy e28 for since June (after switching from the Eufy Omni 10 which completely died). My first Eufy e28 had a "communication error between base station and robot" which was unfixable and the robot was completely replaced in less than 3 months. Then the replacement had the same error in less than a month. This is a VERY common issue with the e28s. So much so the company told me they couldn't replace it because theyre low on stock.

r/RobotVacuums · Want to return Eufy E28 for ECOVACS X8 Omni or Mova Z50 Ultra. Need advice :) It worked rather well, I had figured out how to use the app and they have made updates since, but certain details convinced me to send it back: the maintenance it requires: I put detergent, I left it in powerful drying and I did maintenance once a week and yet the station smelled bad. The noise too, it is very loud. Finally, I almost never used the spot cleaner. Also, I don’t think the vacuum uses the detergent, in several months the level has barely moved. And the fact that it doesn’t fit under my kitchen cabinets… I have the narwal since few days. For the moment, what can I say is the e28 was little more powerfull in vaccum and was faster to clean the house. Mop is better with the narwal Flow, but not a huge difference.

To my great surprise, they took it back very easily without asking any questions. I suppose they must be aware of the issues and have a high return rate. I have now a narwal Flow.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Deals She is the only one Ive seen reporting software issues. Branch out, don’t trust one person’s opinion. She has never posted any visual content only opinions. Not saying good or bad, just something to keep in mind. Plenty of others show their work and any issues they might have. Everyone has some bias, I have even caught myself being biased. Eufy is a solid machine. The primary complaint about the E28 is the DB level when it evacuates the dirty water. The e25 is quieter because it doesn’t have the portable cleaner that contributes to the volume of noise. The vac running to clean the floors is normal volume.
r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy Cat toys was my concern. The Dreame x40, Mova p50, Eufy e25 e28 all have excellent object avoidance. Especially in their price ranges. Eufy e25 is $699 through Eufy. Those Dreame and Mova models can drop their mops. Eufy has vac only. All of them can vac corners.

r/RobotVacuums · Want to return Eufy E28 for ECOVACS X8 Omni or Mova Z50 Ultra. Need advice :) I have the exact same issues. Like all of it. Dripping mop, loud station when supposed to be do not disturbed. No fuckin way in hell to cancel either base station or anything else. When I am doing cleaning I want to be able to "pause" it so it doesn't return to base station... I want to be able to skip mop washing and everything else. It just won't let me control anything. Doesn't get close enough to furniture or walls. 4 inches away from cupboards in kitchen. Immensely disappointed. All the reviews, Eufy shipped like a 100 of these free of charge to Tiktokers and youtubers for paid reviews... So it's like all fake and bullshit. Kinda annoyed they actually spent so much on paid marketing and paid influencers for a product performing so bad.

r/RobotVacuums · Want to return Eufy E28 for ECOVACS X8 Omni or Mova Z50 Ultra. Need advice :) I had the opposite experience. I bought the yeedi s14 plus (which is the yeedi twin version to the ecovacs x8 Omni, same exact hardware and software) and it was awful. I really loved it at first but over time it constantly got lost, skipped areas or rooms, even with obstacle avoidance off. It “pissed” all over my floors and then hardware started to fail including the internal lidar that stopped spinning which caused it to not work at all unless I manually started to spin it. The mop lifting mechanism started to fail and would not lift or extend/retract. I got it to work again but I was not confident it would not fail again permanently. I was constantly having to clean the robot and the base as it got so dirty. It used a ton of water like i had to fill and empty the clean and water tanks at least a couple times a week. When it worked I was impressed with cleaning performance but it just became a headache and the mopping performance wasn’t great either pretty mediocre actually. Luckily Amazon allowed for an exception return and full refund. I ended up getting the eufy e28 for $800 ($150~ cheaper than the s14) which was not out at the time I bought the yeedi. It’s been excellent so far the mopping performance is definitely a step up and it’s been very consistent and through as far as navigation goes. The vacuuming is much more quiet even on max and it cleans all of my short and one medium pile rugs satisfactorily which was something that I was concerned about but it’s been great and I have two large dogs including a German shepherd who sheds unbelievably). If you’re not happy with the eufy, which is surprising to me, then I at least wouldn’t recommend an ecovacs there’s a reason so many people on here have bad experiences similar to mine. My two cents is go with the mova or even the new narwhal that’s coming out with the roller style mop if you truly don’t want to continue with the eufy e28. I went with the eufy after reading so much good feedback from Reddit users. I don’t trust vaccum wars much anymore and rely on real world experiences from various Reddit threads and my own needs.

We haven't published the review yet, but we tested the E28 which is the variant with the built-in carpet cleaner. It did well for hard floor pickup (8/10), but struggled with high pile (5/10), low pile (5/10) and pet hair on low pile (5/10) in our testing. I was okay for obstacle avoidance, doing well on hard floor, and struggled with carpet. If you have mostly hard floor. It's mopping performance was disappointing for a mop roller, but still okay (6/10). Over all, I think if you have mostly hard floor it should still get the job done.
This is one of our unpublished ones, but I can share preliminary test data. We tested the E28, which is the same robot but with a carpet cleaner attached to the dock. Hard floor Pickup 8/10 (Great), High Pile Carpet 5/10 (Bad), Low Pile carpet 5/10 (Bad), Moping 6/10 (Mid), Obstacle avoidance 7/10 (Struggled on carpet). It's an okay option, but might not be best super ideal for your carpets.
If you love eufy, and the E25/E28 works for your needs then I don't see the need in returning it. It'll still get the job done. Our tests push robots to their limits, so it's important to take them with a grain of salt. That being said, here are a couple of alternatives. If you really want a roller mop, I'd suggest the Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni. It does a fantastic job at mopping. It's good for hard floor pickup, does a decent job on carpet, but was just okay with pet hair on carpet. Dual rollers would be the most ideal for pet hair usually. The Roborock Qrevo Slim has the same dual rollers as the S8 MaxV, which did really well with carpet and pet hair, and has the same mopping system as the other Qrevos which generally do well. For the cat accidents, we don't test for spills, so unfortunately I wouldn't be able to provide much info for that. Some will look out for spills, though, and turn off the vacuum, although I don't know how effective those are.
I'm actually curious about this too and will try and investigate this in the new year. The Eufy S1 and the Eufy E28 did about the same as spinning mop pads. The Ecovacs X8 did amazing, but took 3 times longer than the standard to mop the area due to its stain detection feature. We only test with a tomato sauce stain right now, but a new developing a new mopping test is on our radar. Realistically, I've found that pathing and stain detection features play a big role in how well something mops, and in most cases, unless you have a highly stained floor most robots will do a decent to good job. I haven't tested the L50, but I have tested the similar X50, and it got a 6/10 for our pet hair on low pile carpet test. The Ecovacs X8 and Qrevo Curv also got 6/10 (haven't tested the Curv X). In most cases, pet hair on hard floor is easy for any vacuum to pickup, but most of them still get hair stuck even if they have "anti-tangle" features. My best advice for reviews is watch the actual performance of the vacuum if available and don't look at the score, including ours. Make you on conclusions based on what you see, and try to see if it matches your situation. As much as us reviewers try our best to find the best pick, ultimately it's close to impossible to recreate all possible outcomes of the real world, which is why it's important to consider multiple opinions when purchasing. Based on what I can see from your needs, what's available in Canada, from the robots I've tested, the Roborock S8 Max V Ultra or The Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni, will likely be your best bet. You can find the S8 Max V at bestbuy for [$999.99](https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/roborock-s8-maxv-ultra-robot-vacuum-and-mop-with-flexiarm-design-side-brush-reactive-ai-2-0-obstacle-avoidance-and-8-in-1-rockdock-ultra-pet-vacuum-white/18145277)\* and the Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni at Costco for [799.99](https://www.costco.ca/ecovacs-x8-pro-omni-care-robot-vacuum-and-instant-self-washing-roller-mop-bundle.product.4000350883.html)\*. Both will likely get hair stuck in their brush rollers, but the Ecovacs will be more challenging to clean due to its bristles. I made a quick table for you here with the X8, S8 MaxV and the Curv (added noise level for the doggos): https://preview.redd.it/dxq7wdfgx04g1.png?width=1448&format=png&auto=webp&s=6f9c1779ed524d273b8165c1ae93c4dfd9f6bc5e Hope this helps! \*Not affiliate links
