    r/Dreame_Tech · Dream x50 ultra complete

I'm really happy with mine. Had it about 6 months now. Cleaning is very good. I usually use Custom, Mop after Vac, and do two passes each time. Obstacle avoidance is great. No issues there. Once the wheels had gotten caught up in curtains draped on the floor, but this was pretty much my fault as there was a warning about using "Curtain Mode" with these types of curtains. I have one ramp/threshold in my house. It gets up fine. On a few occasions coming down it lost a mop pad and I'd have to reinstall at the base station. I'd say 90% of the times it was fine. But it's not a regular threshold, just a short steep ramp about 2 inches high. I paid around $800USD for mine. Given my experience I would purchase it again. I'm really happy with mine. No major issues. It got "stuck" twice, where it couldn't find it's way out of a cluttered area, with chair legs etc. I just had to reposition and it found it's way. When I do the dining room area, I flip a few of the chairs up on the table to give it more room to clean. The map got corrupted twice. Once it created a phantom room (this was the same time it got stuck). Dreame doen't allow you to erase parts of maps, so I did a remapping. The other map issue I had was that the cleaning map seems to become misaligned in the robot's memory, so that it wouldn't clean all of a hallway, for example, and start a room cleaning way outside the doorway. I just reloaded the saved map I had that fixed it. So those are pretty much the issues I've had. Maintenance is pretty straightforward. I do it every 3 weeks or so now. There's a video by "Just A Dad" where he runs through the cleaning/maintenance process.

    r/RobotVacuums · Dreame x50 vs Mova Z50

Hair management: Dreame X50 Ultra wins with fur compression. MOVA’s TriCut brush works great too. I have a long haired corgi and the TriCut brush works just fine with no tangles over 700 hours. Dreame’s dustbin is 395mL and MOVA’s is 300mL which is the same volume as the Dreame X40 ultra. I’d check how the dustbin is after every room for the first cleaning. You can run the Z50 to vacuum twice a day and mop once or even twice a day. TriCut doesn’t do as well for fur pickup on carpets compared to the dual brush on the X50 though. I don’t think both robots can get onto your shag rug and clean it well. True automation: Both robots have all in one base stations that autoempty, wash, and dry the mops. X50 cleans its own filter when autoemptying and the aceclean dryboard is easy to clean and cleans itself very well. The Z50 ultra has a removable mop pad cleaning tray, if I’m not mistaken. The Z50’s onboard dirty water tank will have to be cleaned but it also sprays the inside of the tank with clean water to prevent buildup. Maybe rinsing it once every two weeks would be good. Mopping: Z50 wins if you don’t need to mop super close to the edges. You can set the Z50 to shake its butt against the wall so the roller mop can get closer.

r/RobotVacuums · Track Mops vs Roller Mops vs Spinning Pads: Are the New ‘Real-Time Cleaning’ Robots Worth It?

For a beagle that sheds a lot (can relate as someone who lives with a *heavily shedding long haired corgi* who we think is part alien since he’s 2 times bigger than a standard breed corgi), I’d recommend the Dreame/MOVA models with the fur compression model as they generally have bigger dustbins and can make good use of the space in the dustbin. MOVA sent me their MOVA V50 ultra in exchange for making content about it. I wrote an honest review of it that you can check here. I recommend the V50 over the Dreame X50 mainly because it has more helpful upgrades like better mopping (review has more details and I’m lazy to type too much), dustbin and dustbag drying helps reduce odor, and the duosolution tank can use a regular mopping solution and a pet odor neutralization solution which surprisingly worked in my home. Just not a fan of how the glossy plastic finish and the battery life being shorter than what I expected but floors are fur and drool free~ https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/ Navigation in my experience has worked in straight lines and it was never driving like it was drunk unless someone tried to trap the robot on purpose (which has happened several times) which will drive any robot mad. It stayed consistent in my use with the firmware it shipped with and the latest current firmware. Outcomes can be different due to the different layouts of homes. The roborock Saros 10 is also a good choice if you need it to go under lower clearance.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy

Thanks for sharing! I hypothesize that the X50 Ultra's poor battery life is likely due to the more power-hungry computer chip it utilizes. My own experience with the L40s Pro Ultra (mainland Chinese version) had a *worse battery life* that struggled to finish cleaning my home whereas my much cheaper combo Xiaomi robot (also mainland Chinese version) that has the same battery capacity and is also made by Dreame would be able to vacuum first and then mop my small apartment and finish with 50%. Other reviewers have reported that the L40s Pro Ultra (non-mainland Chinese edition) had a bad battery life, just like me :( Hopefully, this issue will be fixed soon. I hope the Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track doesn't suffer the same battery life issue, especially because it'll need a more powerful chip to process all the information coming from the HD binocular RGB cameras and the dot projector, and a power-efficient water heater in the robot to heat the water up.

r/RobotVacuums · Totally underwhelmed by Dreame X50 Ultra - Is this normal?

I have the same issues more or less with mine, i just bought it 10 days ago and unfortunately i can't send it back because i had to ship it via parcel forwarding. I'm pretty furious at every review praising this piece of crap to be honest. I'm never again trusting vacuum wars. This robovac is truly worse in navigation than my 4 year old ecovacs T8. r/RobotVacuums · Dreame X50 Ultra Robot Vacuum - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

The robot is not clogged. It does frequently clog, but even when it isn’t, there is lots of debris left. We run it every one to two days and the “very dirty house” you are referring to is what’s left behind after this $1k vacuum has passed over that area at maximum suction multiple times. I would be fine with a vacuum that needs some details after, but this is not that problem. It leaves behind dirt everywhere (I literally watch it role over dirt and not pick it up) and it does not do as advertised, for example the arm does not reach out to get corners.

r/RobotVacuums · Robot vacuum for long pet hair that's JUST a vacuum?!

I bought a Dreame X50 Ultra because it was good for long pet hair. It has a mop, I just never use it. If it didn’t have the mop it could have a bigger dust bin but mops seem to be the thing. The dual roller/brush design on the Dreame and the suction power are great. I have two long hair German Shepherd Dogs. They shed all the time.

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 Ultra: my first impressions

Just a reminder as you mention the price tag: a €1,400 robot is not twice as good as a €700 one, but only slightly better. Increased sophistication leads to exponentially higher costs. In other words, your expectations might have been too high. It remains one of the best robots on the market.

r/RobotVacuums · Had Enough- Dreame Aqua 10 ultra is going back - what should I get as a replacement?

I sent my aqua10 ultra roller back on day 9 when I decided that I couldn't take any more. Funny thing is that it was the replacement for a X50 ultra that died on the dock on day 2. I went back to Roborock and got the curvx to go along with my curv. Just keep in mind that they're all machines that will malfunction eventually but day in and day out Roborock has been the best for me.

r/Dreame_Tech · My Nightmare Experience with Dreame X50 Ultra and Aqua 10 Ultra Roller

I went through the same thing with the same two robots as I was trying to give Dreame a chance and they failed big time. The x50 died on the dock on day 2 and the aqua couldn't even navigate my dining room plus it had the same poor battery life as the x50. Tech support was unbelievably bad. I told myself that I was done with them after sending the aqua back. Ended up buying another Roborock so now I have a qrevo curv and qrevo curvx for my cleaning crew.

r/homeassistant · What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today?

I have two Dreame x40s. Probably one of the best robot vacuums from the last generation. The new generation is the Roborock Saros 10R and Dreame X50. As for the x40, I have two of them and they have probably the best object avoidance on the market while also have great cleaning performance. I run them both on a daily schedule and they have no issues cleaning my house without eating cords, cat toys and other random things that end up on the floor. The obstacle avoidance lets me run it daily without having to prep my house. If you have to prep your house, or can't run the robot on a schedule, it makes a robot vacuum a lot less useful. I also tried the QRevo slim but returned it since its obstacle avoidance wasn't as good. It cleaned well, but the Dreame cleaned just as well while having superior object avoidance so kept the Dreame. Since the new generation of robots just came out, I would wait a bit before buying but it looks like the Saros 10R might be one of the best picks right now. The Dreame x50 also looks good but I've heard some issues and bugs with the software but it does have better features like a self cleaning vacuum filter. Either way I would wait a bit for bugs to be ironed out and more reviews to come out.

r/MOVA_robotvacuum · MOVA V50 Ultra vs Dreame X50 Ultra for the same price?

V50 > X50. They are basically identical but the v50 has slightly better QOL features such as UV water disinfection which probably doesn't do much. Unless you absolutely need features such as threshold climbing and retracting lidar, I would just save my money and get the x40 certified refurb from dreame's eBay store https://www.ebay.com/itm/358554971565 Cleans as well, but isn't plagued by the bad battery life issues of the 50 series robots from dreame and Mova. Obstacle avoidance is about equal as well. I had two of them as a replacement for my Eufy x10s which I returned due to poor cleaning performance and navigation, they were significantly better and a great value for money in 2026

It's my pleasure! I know it's exhausting shopping for one right now. About your Qrevo, that's disappointing, and I'd definitely recommend returning it. It's kind of like a lottery at this point of whether you'll get a good quality product. The problem is that it's not just one brand, but all of them. The Qrevo is solid, but I definitely understand not wanting to get another one. The X50 we got did perform okay, but I was underwhelmed for it's price at the time. Additionally, I borrowed our unit to try in my apartment for a month, and it would drop dust bunnies all around my apartment. This could fully be a case of we received a defective unit, but since we buy everything out of pocket, [we leave it up to brands to ask us to buy a new one](https://www.rtings.com/company/out-of-spec-policy) if they don't agree with our results. The Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni matched or outperformed the X50 in our pickup performance testing so that might be a good option. It has worse obstacle avoidance (6/10 vs 8.8/10) than the X50 though, if that was a priority. Both have great battery life. If you're open to trying another Roborock, the S8 Max V is a solid choice. There's also the Qrevo Slim, which is the precursor to the Saros 10R, but with the same dual rollers as the S8 Max V.

r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester.

I'm not sure about the reliability of Ecovacs products, but to be fair, that doesn't mean they won't be good. The only long term products we have experience with is Roborock. I've heard of the leaking dock issue, but we didn't experience it with our unit. The X8 would probably be a good choice for you, but just keep in mind that it doesn't have outstanding obstacle avoidance, so you'll need to make sure there's no pet waste or loose objects before running it. The X50 was excellent at obstacle avoidance, I just had a poor experience with it when borrowing it from work as it would leave a lot of fine debris behind and chunks of dust on my floor. It's possible we got a bad unit thought. The X8 either beat or matched the X50 in pickup performance, with the X8 excelling at hard floor pickup. They were both just decent for carpet, and mid for hair on carpet. For mopping, the X8 is really amazing, left my floor at home shinning every time. Hope this helps!

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations from a Robot Tester

Which robot did you end up getting? I'm glad you pulled the trigger, really most of them will get the job done, and be better than not having one. (With some exceptions' haha) The reason I put the "avoid" section was mostly about value for performance of the product, and not necessarily with the intent of "it's the worst product ever, and you'll regret buying it". Also because there are so many options, I figured it could help narrow them down a bit. Many people on here are happy with the L40 Ultra, and I'm glad they enjoy it. I try not to be bias and give every robot a fair shot at testing (I say try, because claiming that I'm fully unbiased feels like that's not possible). The X50 was one of the most confusing/disappointing for me when testing it. I retested it multiple times and tried different configurations to give it the best shot possible, but it still didn't do well And definitely right about the different opinions, I frequently check other review sites and this Subreddit to see how they experienced their robots. We all have different methodologies, and having more information is better than having less, even if it's overwhelming. I'm excited for the market to settle down a bit, and have a more palatable launch pattern.

r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester.

Depends on your floor types. I haven't tested this model or Dreame D20 (it's non Costco equivalent), so I can't really comment on its performance. It has the same brush rollers as the X50, which I have tested, and those were a tad disappointing on hard floor (6/10), and just okay on carpet. If you have mostly hard floor, go with the Roborock Qrevo. If you have mostly carpets, I'd say try out the Govac and see if it works for you.

r/RobotVacuums · Black Friday Week Tips/Recommendations from a Robot Tester.

I'm actually curious about this too and will try and investigate this in the new year. The Eufy S1 and the Eufy E28 did about the same as spinning mop pads. The Ecovacs X8 did amazing, but took 3 times longer than the standard to mop the area due to its stain detection feature. We only test with a tomato sauce stain right now, but a new developing a new mopping test is on our radar. Realistically, I've found that pathing and stain detection features play a big role in how well something mops, and in most cases, unless you have a highly stained floor most robots will do a decent to good job. I haven't tested the L50, but I have tested the similar X50, and it got a 6/10 for our pet hair on low pile carpet test. The Ecovacs X8 and Qrevo Curv also got 6/10 (haven't tested the Curv X). In most cases, pet hair on hard floor is easy for any vacuum to pickup, but most of them still get hair stuck even if they have "anti-tangle" features. My best advice for reviews is watch the actual performance of the vacuum if available and don't look at the score, including ours. Make you on conclusions based on what you see, and try to see if it matches your situation. As much as us reviewers try our best to find the best pick, ultimately it's close to impossible to recreate all possible outcomes of the real world, which is why it's important to consider multiple opinions when purchasing. Based on what I can see from your needs, what's available in Canada, from the robots I've tested, the Roborock S8 Max V Ultra or The Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni, will likely be your best bet. You can find the S8 Max V at bestbuy for [$999.99](https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/roborock-s8-maxv-ultra-robot-vacuum-and-mop-with-flexiarm-design-side-brush-reactive-ai-2-0-obstacle-avoidance-and-8-in-1-rockdock-ultra-pet-vacuum-white/18145277)\* and the Ecovacs X8 Pro Omni at Costco for [799.99](https://www.costco.ca/ecovacs-x8-pro-omni-care-robot-vacuum-and-instant-self-washing-roller-mop-bundle.product.4000350883.html)\*. Both will likely get hair stuck in their brush rollers, but the Ecovacs will be more challenging to clean due to its bristles. I made a quick table for you here with the X8, S8 MaxV and the Curv (added noise level for the doggos): https://preview.redd.it/dxq7wdfgx04g1.png?width=1448&format=png&auto=webp&s=6f9c1779ed524d273b8165c1ae93c4dfd9f6bc5e Hope this helps! \*Not affiliate links

Good point! And I agree that Roborock could be a bit cheaper for what they offer, especially since their obstacle avoidance on cheaper units is really not on par with the rest of the industry. Glad to know you liked it! We really made sure to double and triple test it, change configurations, and re-map our test area, but it really [did not do well](https://i.rtings.com/assets/products/2zg0DmvJ/dreame-x50-ultra/hardfloor-large.jpg?format=auto). Our unit might be out of spec, but [we leave it up to manufacturers](https://www.rtings.com/company/out-of-spec-policy) to notify us of that since we purchase our own products.

r/Dreame_Tech · My Nightmare Experience with Dreame X50 Ultra and Aqua 10 Ultra Roller

I used the x50 Ultra for 30 days, during which all floor maps were created and supposedly saved to the cloud. However, due to an internal fault (confirmed by tech support), the saved maps couldn’t be retrieved. Initially, one support agent claimed maps aren’t saved to the cloud, despite the software indicating otherwise. A different agent later clarified that maps are saved but can’t be restored for privacy reasons, which makes the feature seem pointless. I then switched to the Aqua 10, but during its first deep cleaning, the base leaked water all over my floor, this was replicated 2-3 times for support. I noticed a similar issue mentioned in Justadad’s YouTube review and found over 20 posts on this subreddit reporting the same problem. I was patient with Dreame’s support again, but with the return window approaching, I decided not to go through the hassle again. I will also note the same map disappearance issue happened with this unit as well even though it was "saved to the cloud"

As in it would reverse? At one point, my robot was getting stuck on one section of my carpet in my living room and what you mentioned maybe why. Hey, just something I noticed now that I've used it a bit more. I know you're testing it and maybe you've noticed this too, but for X50 Ultra, if I leave the mopping pads on while vacuuming on carpet (default CleanGenius), the performance is a lot worse than when the mop pads are left at the dock. My carpets were a lot cleaner when I just did vacuum only without the mop pads attached. I have a family member who is a clean freak and they were pretty unimpressed with the performance prior to this, but said it did a decent job when doing vacuum only. Not sure if this is standard for all vacuums, but something worth noting.

There SHOULD be more difference. The x60 has the highest Pa I've ever seen at 35k. But this is proof that my longstanding assertion that suction doesn't matter as much as anyone thinks is true. And it has steam mopping, and this plate thats supposed to protect carpets. Oh, and its slimmer. But in practice? I didn't see a difference. The x50 didn't have a problem navigating around carpets, and the x60 still doesn't. Maybe other people experienced issues with rugs, but I never did. I saw no improvement of what it picked up or didn't, and where I wanted it to count (picking up bigger debris), the suction doesn't help, because those things still get stuck in the rollers, causing the robot to error. A slimmer robot IS helpful if that's been an issue (places you can't get under) but if not.... it doesn't matter. It can surmount slightly taller thresholds.... but until its a stair, meh. When i look at the pricing, I just don't see the justification for that big a difference. The x50 is a deal.

I think people aren't giving these lifting chasses enough credit (though y'all didn't like the X50 and I thought it did well in testing). if Dyson could figure it out, that'd be the answer, but otherwise, there are no "vacuum only" high end models. They're all combos. If you've got a climb, get a lifting chassis. Saros 10/10r or Dreame x50. For long human hair, I really like the J15 models, they have a razor cutter, and they're good with transitions, so you'd be ok w the rug.

Lets start with the moon. Obviously, as I talk about it a lot, I am infatuated with the 3i S10. I have a big dog with short hair who sheds EVERYWHERE (it climbs the walls) but long hair is different. However, dogs don't just produce hair, they also produce an absurd amount of dirt and rando crap (not actual crap) on the floor. Dog toy parts, floof, mine drags in mulch from outside. Those are the sorts of things that clog most robots, and I didn't have that with the 3i, and its the ONLY one. So.... if you can afford the 1250 price, that's my top pick. Below that, it becomes a little esoteric, becuase they all do a lesser job, but that doesn't mean they do a BAD job, either. But you might need to empty them manually more often, or unclog them manually, etc. The J15 Pro Ultra by Eureka has this razor that cuts the hair, and that's nice, and overall I really liked the machine. People love the Eufy models for this application, I personally don't, but that's what makes horse races. (or dog races. I can never remember). Frankly, since the 3i came down so much in price for Prime Day (its normally much higher than other models in the premium field at $1899), I don't have to split hairs over this vs the Saros 10/10r (both more expensive) or the X50 (also more expensive).

    r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Deals

get the 3i S10 Ultra. I think its the best option above 1000 anyways, but its also going to be cheaper than my #2 and 3 pick: the x50 and 10r.

Yeah, I know you're a real fan of Dreame. It's funny, because when I started testing, Dreame was the hardest to get ahold of and kinda my "get" to test. As it turns out, I'm rarely impressed by them. The x50 is good, but not amazeballs. Another note is that while other high end brands flagships have become truly beautiful (the Saros, the Ecovacs X9 are effin gorgeous), Dreame just keeps putting out the same black rectangles. I don't know.. I'm waiting for something great from them.

We have a dreame x50 ultra and for us it’s been a life-changer. We now have a fresh clean floor nearly every morning as we let the robot vacuüm and mop the Floor at night. You do need to make sure there are no large Chunks of stuff on the floor that can jam it but other than that it’s very little upkeep.

    r/Dreame_Tech · Dream x50 ultra complete

€750 for a **brand-new X50 Ultra Complete** is a very strong price in 2026, assuming it's from a reputable seller with full warranty coverage. At that price, I'd consider it one of the better values in the premium robot market, especially if threshold climbing is a priority. The X50's biggest differentiator isn't suction or mopping—it's the ability to handle homes that would stop many other flagship robots. For cleaning performance, most owners seem very happy with both vacuuming and mopping. Obstacle avoidance is generally good, though like every robot it can still struggle with very small cables and similar objects. As for the 3 cm thresholds, that's exactly the type of situation the X50 was designed for. If I had €750 to spend today and multiple tall thresholds at home, the X50 would still be near the top of my list simply because very few robots handle those transitions as well. Just keep in mind that threshold shape and approach angle matter almost as much as the height itself.

    r/Dreame_Tech · Dream x50 ultra complete

I wouldn't consider the X50 a robot that sacrifices cleaning performance for threshold climbing. The threshold system is its headline feature, but it's still a flagship robot with very strong vacuuming, mopping, obstacle avoidance, and dock automation. If you compare it to the very best premium models, the differences in day-to-day cleaning performance are generally much smaller than the differences in threshold handling. If your home didn't have the 3 cm thresholds, there would be a stronger argument for cross-shopping other flagships based on specific preferences. But since you do have multiple tall thresholds, the X50 solves a real problem that many competitors simply can't. At €750 from Amazon, I'd personally view that as an excellent price for a flagship-class robot. Unless there's another model with a feature you specifically prefer, I think the threshold capability becomes a bonus rather than a compromise.

r/RobotVacuums · Dreame X50 Ultra Robot Vacuum - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Honestly, this thread is kind of the perfect example of the current robot vacuum market. Some people genuinely have an amazing experience with Dreame robots, while others end up with a unit that behaves like it was assembled on a Friday afternoon. The frustrating part is that when you spend flagship-level money, people expect consistency, not “maybe you got unlucky twice.” That said, the photos you posted honestly look more like edge pickup / brush reach issues than total vacuum failure. Those robots are generally much better at maintenance cleaning than deep recovery cleaning, especially around thresholds, wall edges, grout lines, and pet hair clumps. If it’s routinely leaving debris exactly like that after multiple passes though, even on max suction, I’d also be pretty unhappy.

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 Ultra- persistent navigation looping

This honestly looks less like normal obstacle avoidance behavior and more like the robot is repeatedly losing positional confidence mid-clean. The big clue is that it worked perfectly on day one, then suddenly started doing “drunk orbit” loops in wide open spaces after mapping was already established. When these Dreame units can’t consistently reconcile LiDAR + visual positioning + map alignment, they’ll start constantly re-orienting themselves and drawing those overlapping circles instead of committing to straight passes. Since you already did basically every normal troubleshooting step, I’d start looking at environmental or hardware causes next. Mirrors, reflective cabinet kick plates, large glass panels, shiny floors, strong sunlight patches, or even black furniture bases can sometimes confuse localization badly in open rooms. But if none of that changed between day one and day two, I’d honestly lean toward either a faulty LiDAR module/turret motor or a firmware issue affecting localization. Especially because it’s happening in sparse/open rooms where navigation should actually be easiest. At this point I’d document everything with videos and push support for replacement consideration instead of endlessly remapping it.

r/Dreame_Tech · X50 dust in hepa filter problem

The X50 dustbin layout is a bit different from the older L10 series. On many X50 units there isn’t a separate removable mesh screen like the L10S had. The first stage is basically the **internal airflow channel and the plastic grid inside the dustbin**, and the HEPA sits directly behind that. So if you don’t see a distinct mesh plate, that’s normal for this model. If your HEPA is loading up after just one or two runs, that usually points to either a **bad filter element or a sealing issue** rather than the design itself. Try swapping in a fresh HEPA and make sure it’s seated flat in the filter clip. If the new one also clogs immediately, then something is letting fine dust bypass the cyclone path and pack straight into the filter, which would make that unit worth contacting support about.

    Fiabilité & SAV
r/Dreame_Tech · X50 dust in hepa filter problem

If your HEPA is clogging that fast, the first thing I’d check is whether the **dustbin mesh screen in front of the filter is actually clean and seated correctly**. On the X50 there’s a fine mesh in the bin that acts as the first stage. If that mesh is clogged with fine powder or pet dust, airflow drops and the HEPA loads up almost immediately. Take the bin out, remove the filter, and rinse the **bin + mesh screen** under water, let it dry completely, then reinstall the filter. Also try tapping or blowing out the HEPA from the **clean side outward** before putting it back. If suction comes back strongly after cleaning the bin mesh, that means the dust is bypassing or packing there rather than a design issue. If it still clogs after one or two runs, then I’d suspect either a **bad HEPA filter element** or the **filter not sealing properly in the bin**, which can cause dust to pack into it much faster than normal.

r/Dreame_Tech · Home Assistant Automations failing to execute on X50 Ultra via Matter

If HA shows the Matter command “succeeded” five times while the X50 stays idle, you’re probably hitting a Matter endpoint reliability gap or a device-side state gate that Matter doesn’t expose. At that point, retries alone won’t guarantee it. The best workaround is to add a “hard wake + state refresh” step, and if possible use a second control path as a fallback (Dreame cloud/app integration) until firmware improves. Two things that usually fix this class of failure: first, force the vacuum to transition state before Start. In practice that means a harmless command that reliably flips something, like “return to dock” or “pause/stop” or a status refresh, then wait 5–10 seconds, then Start. Second, add a longer backoff (60–120s) and only fire when it’s docked + fully idle for a bit, because map loading, DND, or brief Wi-Fi reconnects can look like “idle” in HA but still cause the vacuum to ignore Start. If you want to keep it clean, make the automation: check docked/idle, send a stop or dock command, wait, poll state, then Start; if it still ignores, trigger a fallback via the Dreame integration for that one run.

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame x50 ultra complete is leaking water when washing mops and base auto-clean.

What to check: • Remove the wash plate completely and clean the drain channel underneath. • Check the rubber gasket/seal around the wash module for warping or debris. • Inspect the dirty water inlet port to make sure it isn’t clogged. • Make sure the base is perfectly level — even a slight forward tilt can cause overflow. If everything is clean and level and it still leaks, that usually points to a loose internal hose or cracked drain housing inside the dock. At that point it’s warranty territory. An X50 shouldn’t be leaking externally under normal operation.

r/Dreame_Tech · Home Assistant Automations failing to execute on X50 Ultra via Matter

This is a known “Matter as a thin remote layer” problem, not you mis-writing the automation. Home Assistant can fire the command and log it as successful, but the vacuum never actually receives it or ignores it because it’s in a state Matter doesn’t surface cleanly (busy, not fully idle, DND, mid-maintenance, map loading, stuck in an “updating” state). The fact it’s sporadic is the giveaway, it’s almost always reliability and state sync, not syntax. What tends to make it behave is adding a little guardrail and retry logic. Make sure you only send Start when the X50 reports as docked/idle, then if it doesn’t flip to “running” within 10 to 30 seconds, resend Start once or twice. Also avoid stacking actions back to back, even if it’s “just one action” now, because the device can still be waking its Matter endpoint. If you can, trigger a “wake” first (anything that forces a fresh state update, like a status poll), then Start. If it’s happening most when you leave home, it can also be Wi-Fi roam timing, your HA box sending the command while the vacuum is briefly offline. A simple retry a minute later fixes a lot of these.

r/Dreame_Tech · New User Question: Dream X50 Ultra Taking Too Long to Clean

You’re on the right track. Remap, mark the rugs as carpet, set them to vacuum-only, then let it run a couple normal cleans so the map settles. That usually fixes the looping and wasted time. For real-world timing, once things are stable the X50 should vacuum a 15–20 m² room in roughly 10–15 minutes, and vacuum + mop more like 18–25 minutes depending on water level and edge cleaning. Early runs are almost always slower because the robot is still learning where it can confidently drive. If the firmware is bad, you’ll usually see the same weird behavior even after 3–4 full runs with a clean map. At that point, power-cycle the robot and dock, re-run one full clean, and if it’s still looping, flag it to support with a short video. Firmware issues tend to be obvious and repeatable, not subtle.

    r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 is suddenly lost

When you see *multiple* things breaking at once — mop logic failing, spinning in place, map not loading, cleaning history missing — that usually means the robot and the cloud/app map are out of sync. The X50 relies heavily on the stored map and task state. If that data gets corrupted or stuck, the robot can “complete” tasks internally while the app never catches up, which explains the idle pause + spin + dock behavior. Best path: do a **full reset sequence**, not just a reboot. Clean sensors first (LiDAR window, front sensors, dock contacts), then **delete the map**, power-cycle the robot, and redo mapping from scratch. If that doesn’t fix it, a **factory reset** is honestly the right move. It’s annoying, but it clears bad state that normal restarts don’t touch. If the app still won’t load maps or history after a fresh map, that’s when I’d escalate to support because that points to an account-side sync issue, not the robot itself.

r/Dreame_Tech · New User Question: Dream X50 Ultra Taking Too Long to Clean

A couple things help a lot. First, run one or two full cleans in Standard mode, not Quick. Quick sounds faster but actually causes more re-routing on mixed flooring. Second, go into carpet management and set those thin rugs to “ignore” or “vacuum only” instead of letting auto detection decide. Once the map stabilizes and the rugs stop triggering obstacle logic, clean times usually drop sharply. If it’s still doing this after 3–4 full runs on the same firmware, that’s when it’s worth looking at a remap or a firmware bug.

r/RobotVacuums · Totally underwhelmed by Dreame X50 Ultra - Is this normal?

The X50 shouldn’t behave like that. It’s not perfect, but it *should* hug edges, clean under tables, avoid most small objects, and finish an average floor in a sane amount of time. When an X50 is running slow, missing huge areas, and plowing through obstacles, it’s usually one of three things: bad initial map, outdated firmware, or AI/avoidance settings fighting each other. Wipe the map, remap once with all doors open, and turn off CleanGenius for the first few runs. Make sure AI avoidance and edge mode are both on. If it still takes 2 hours to do half a room or refuses to go under a table, return or exchange it. At that price, you shouldn’t have to babysit it or redesign your house.

    r/Dreame_Tech · Stuck between Dreame L50, X50, L40 and X40 (high thresholds)

If you’re okay tossing a mat or a small DIY ramp over the two thresholds, the **L40/X40 will handle your apartment just fine**. People do this all the time — a thin mat with a gentle edge works exactly like a ramp and the robot treats it as normal floor. A 3D-printed ramp is even better if you want something that looks cleaner. Your floors are simple (no carpets, small space, pets), so you don’t actually *need* the full X50 feature set. The X40/L40 clean really well on hard floors and mop better than most in their price range. So the real decision is: • If you want zero effort and guaranteed climbing → L50 or X50. • If you’re cool with a 10-second ramp placement → L40 or X40 and save a chunk of money. Both approaches work; it just depends on whether you want to deal with the ramps.

Thanks for your input. In this case, the offer is directly from Amazon, so I’m not too concerned about the seller’s reliability or warranty coverage. My main hesitation isn’t the threshold-climbing ability — I agree that the X50 Ultra seems to be one of the best options on the market for that — but rather the overall cleaning performance. I’m worried about prioritizing threshold handling and ending up with a robot that doesn’t clean quite as well as some of the other premium models in day-to-day use. In your opinion, does the X50 Ultra still rank among the best robots of 2026 for overall vacuuming and mopping performance, or are there any significant compromises compared to other flagship models? If the difference in cleaning performance is only marginal, then €750 seems like an excellent deal.

No rooms, custom vacuum settings or dock controls. Preset clean settings such as auto, quick, quiet, and mop. I was hoping I could set a room rotation as an automation to make sure everywhere is getting evenly prioritized, and different vacuum intensities based on if no humans were in the house it would be quiet and quick, and no humans and pets it would be max and standard. Leaking at the tank prevents the dirty water from being sucked up into the tank and it overflows the small reservoir at the base below the mops. I had this very issue. Now I make sure to wipe those areas every time I empty my dirty water. I haven't had a leak since.

What drives me nuts about the s5max is that it gets tangles and it gets stuck and it can't do carpet and mopping in the same run. Speaking of which I'm hoping the z50 transition easily between the surfaces even though its mops can't be dropped off and the roller can't be raised that high. It was hard to find info on this and the x50 seemed better suited. I just saw the x50 win a few of the vacuum tests in some of the German reviews which made me initially hesitat on the Z50. But I agree I think I'll give the z50 a go. It's a shame we don't have the v50 here! Finally, I've read lots of your posts in this community and they are super helpful thank you so much!

Here in Italy the price were 1400vs 1200€ for x40 and the difference was not really significant. I normally follow the rules to wait some time before buy the new cutting edge technology as the bionic arm, however in this case I felt that the progress was not so great to be bad at the beginning.

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 Ultra: my first impressions

I can’t suggest to buy this at 1500 bucks now, but surely it can keep the price one year longer than the x40 ultra. I have my mother plus 4 cats with only one with long hair and the brushes are perfectly free from any tangle.

r/RobotVacuums · Dreame X50 Ultra Robot Vacuum - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I was happy for a little bit - then one of the arms broke- about 65 days in. The support through the app was really good, but I had to ship back the whole thing, which is 50 pounds. Couldn’t just send the robot. Haven't received the replacement yet.  If you were asking me now, I’d say skip this model.

r/Dreame · PSA: Your Dreame constantly showing "offline" is a firmware bug, NOT your WiFi — I packet-captured the actual cause

My x50 ultra just suddenly lost connection last night/today. The app shows “error, please try again” and can’t find the robot. However, voice command tasks upon completion still trigger notifications to my app on my phone which is weird. Seems to fall under this category you mentioned. I’ve only tried a soft reset, no difference it being able to reconnect. I’ll probably try the factory reset since you mentioned that it helps at first - even if it’s just enough time to name my rooms properly so I can fall back on voice commands when I need to

I have a X50 right now and I'm reviewing it. It works pretty good but in my opinion it's over complicating things. When it reaches an obstacle or thinks that it sees something it changes it's Patern, drives to the other side of the room, then drives back. It acts weird sometimes

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 Ultra- persistent navigation looping

It seems like a lot of the x50 units are faulty. Mine randomly started doing the same thing and now only cleans 25% of the room then marks it complete/moves on. This started about 2 weeks ago. I’ve cleaned the sensors, re-mapped and did a factory reset. Nothing seems to fix it. Most likely going to switch to Roborock if Dreame refuses to fix this.

r/RobotVacuums · MOVA V50 Ultra vs Dreame X50 Ultra for the same price?

Some people really like it, it has some nice features on paper, but real world experience for me is subpar. Also, because it navigates in weird patterns, spins around and takes double the time to clean, it eats up the battery for unnecessary actions. So if you have a bigger space, it may have to go back and recharge. Anyway, no more Dreame for me. I just ordered a refurb Q Revo Curv from eBay roborock store. I trust their navigation and reliability more.

r/RobotVacuums · MOVA V50 Ultra vs Dreame X50 Ultra for the same price?

I haven’t tried Mova V50, but just got X50 Ultra and not sure why it gets so many good reviews. My old Roborock Q Revo finishes the apartment in 30 mins and covers the edges and corners better. Always cleans in straight lines. X50 takes 60 minutes because it spins around, stumbles, hesitates, raises and retracts the lidar. It feels like it’s always behind itself and has to stop and think before making the next move. Navigation is really bad. Also it’s too shy of going in tight places and leaves areas dirty. Carpet detection is pretty bad , it cannot figure out the exact edges of our area rug. In the beginning we had a problem where it constantly failed to pick up the mats. I bought it open box for $380 and it appeared to be brand new, but I am still debating if I should return it. I can’t imagine paying $800-1000 for this mediocre product

    r/RobotVacuums · 3rd Robot Vacuum recommendation's attempt. Can spend up to 1500€.

We had the Dreame x50. It cleaned well enough until it broke but it constantly needed intervention. When the side brush seized, it would not work at all. Sent it in for repair, and it came back with the original issue fixed but now it sounds like it has a box of Legos in it and constantly stops and says the main brush is tangled, even though its not. We just bought a saros 20 and couldn't be happier. I have it set to vacuum and mop every day as we have 5 large dogs. I have had to intervene exactly one time since we bought it. Its never gotten tangled and the floors are spotless.

r/RobotVacuums · Totally underwhelmed by Dreame X50 Ultra - Is this normal?

I've had the X50 Ultra for 6 months. I just popped on here to see if there was any way to completely shut off the lidar, because I'm convinced that's the weak point of this product. I prepare my house well. Put up chairs, dog toys, everything. I'd just as soon have it running into stuff full speed as opposed to watching it sit and spin, go the wrong direction and take forever. That said I have no complaints about cleaning, but the only bot I had before this was a roomba. If it would just follow the map it would be fine. If I left a chair or object in an area one time, it forever will stop and look for that object and avoid an object that hasn't been there for 50 sessions. I have a 3/8" threshold between my bedroom laminate and tile living room. It will hit it, back up, try to jump it 5 inches before the threshold. It's nuts Suggestions welcome. I at least I feel better.

my solution of adding a prefilter to filter seems to work great, it does the job well and prefilter is cleaned on each emptying process, leaving only around 5-7% of dust on prefilter. Its a shame noone makes these filters with prefilter for x50 like the one that l10s filter has.

Adjusted my expectations 😁 I'm a lot more happy with the robovac now, but all those points remain. It is very careful about how it drives, meaning that it won't go everywhere, and many nooks and crannies it simply can't reach.  But the open parts of my floors are nicely vacuumed and mopped, and that's a win.

r/RobotVacuums · Help me choose: Dreame vs. Ecovacs (or other) for $800? Focus on mopping.

Generally i wouldn't recommend dreame or mova. Roborock puts higher quality parts and has less failures than dreame/mova (Link is im german but tldr they repair robots and find dreame has more, and more severe failures, the Station is more complex-> more failures and they put in cheaper parts https://www.roboter-deals.de/content/71-roborock-vs-dreame-2026-der-grosse-vergleich-aus-der-roboter-deals-werkstatt ) Roborock also has a better Navigation, looking at the x50 we got in our Office, it just does lots of weird stuff. Dreame mostly points in features, but they all feel prototypish. Pretty sure a big Problem are reviews that don't do testing on a day to day basis over months

r/RobotVacuums · Which robot vacuum would you choose? Roborock Curv X / Curv 2 Pro vs Dreame X50 (cats, litter, quiet, under 10 cm furniture)

I had a Dreame X50 and I loved it (only gripe was battery life)... until it packed up 10 months in. Hairs get stuck in the wheel treads (not the main brush) and the wheel stopped going. I don't know if this could have been avoided with better maintenance as I wasn't doing a lot of maintaining. Having done some research, it looks like it has happened to other users too: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Dreame\_Tech/comments/1pcpeve/pet\_hair\_stuck\_underneath\_side\_wheel\_treads\_on/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dreame_Tech/comments/1pcpeve/pet_hair_stuck_underneath_side_wheel_treads_on/) I haven't decided yet what I am getting to replace it, leaning towards a Roborocks but the R10 isn't available in UK. If I had some assurance that maintenance would have helped I would buy the X50 again, but since I don't, it is a v expensive machine to only work for a year.

r/Dreame_Tech · New User Question: Dream X50 Ultra Taking Too Long to Clean

Hi :) I remapped all rooms again from scratch and then started a cleaning test in the simplest area of the apartment. This area is a very small hallway. The hallway is extremely small, about 7 square meters, and contains only one small, thin rug placed in the middle. There are no other obstacles. For this test, I started cleaning for the first time after the new mapping. The robot worked for around 12 minutes, which already feels quite long for such a small area. I closely observed its behavior. Most of the time, the robot vacuums around the rug repeatedly and only cleans the rug itself at the end. Even though I selected the option to clean the area once, it keeps going over the same space around the rug many times. I’m not sure if I am doing something wrong in the settings, but this seems like an excessive amount of time and repeated movement for such a small and simple area. I also noticed another issue when the robot returns to its dock. The return path looks strange and inefficient. Instead of following a clear, direct route, it moves forward and backward and circles around areas that are already completely clean. Could you please advise me on what might be causing this behavior and what settings I should adjust to improve cleaning efficiency and navigation? Thank you very much for your help. One more question and thought from my side: Could this behavior be normal because the robot is still “learning” the environment? I’m wondering if it needs to clean the same room several times in order to better recognize carpets and other objects, and then become faster and more efficient later on. For example, when I cleaned the main room for the first time, the robot passed over the carpet several times before it seemed to correctly recognize it as a carpet. That makes me think it might still be adapting and collecting data during the first few cleaning cycles. So my question is: Is this repeated cleaning part of a learning process, and will the robot work faster and more efficiently after several cleanings? Or am I doing something wrong in the settings that causes this behavior? I would really appreciate your advice on where I might be making a mistake or what I should adjust.

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame L40 Ultra AE Was a Game-Changer for 2 Weeks… Then It Broke. Buy Again or Bail on Dreame? Alternatives/Black Friday Recs?

Yeah it’s been good so far. No real complaints. I’ve got a couple of quirks, it seems to occasionally panic when bumping into an object. The panic causes it to turn and accelerate without really thinking and it could bump into things quite hard. And for some reason where the L40 had no quarrels with going over rugs this one seems to be terrified of them. Like a cat to water. I’ve tried changing settings, but it seems to really not want to drive over rugs so confidently, as the L40. Not all my floor is perfectly level and you can see that the mop pads aren’t always making contact with the ground and miss in some low spots. Bit of a shame. Overall, it’s a good unit though, so far.

r/Dreame_Tech · My Nightmare Experience with Dreame X50 Ultra and Aqua 10 Ultra Roller

I have a similar experience. My X50 Ultra has been getting "dumber" with each firmware upgrade. Can't drive in a straight line, extender arm fails to work most of the time leaving a debris line in dry areas like the kitchen. Often sits in place for up to 5 mins for no apparent reason. Rotates in place trying to work out where it is. Completely forgets to do the cleaning for rooms. Can't navigate back to the dock in under 10 mins when battery low (I often get three notifications before it tries to find its way home)... So, yeah. A complete waste and just not acceptable considering the price tags for these things. I often wonder if I got the "Temu" version instead... :( And after sales support is practically non-existent.

Try doing multiple floors and you'll find it can't mop upstairs without the base!! unless you wet the mop and drag a wet mop around to all the bathrooms upstairs! What you will find is most robots don't carry water reservoirs onboard so are unable to wet the mop during mopping. Most seem to rely on the dock to wet the mops. Its very hard to find one that can actually mop without the dock! I have the roborock S8 which i was looking to replace and after trying the dreame, eufy, ecovacs i've come to the conclusion its def the best on the market!! roborock are solid machines!

These products only work between deep cleans. They're all over-promising and under-performing. Simply run a real vacuum after you run the robot and look at the bin, it still picks up loads of dust. I still deep clean my house every weekend with a wet/dry vac and stick or upright vac. On a side note: reflective surfaces such as modern metal chair and table legs can be very difficult for some of these robots to navigate so they will bump them. I have furniture with both matte and glossy legs. The matte they never bump but the glossy they struggle with at times.

From my experience, Regarding your points: 1) do you think you are smarter than engineers working there who didn’t think about something so simple? 2) for “deep cleaning”, since you mention old foods and lots of dust, I remove chairs or every other item that can interfere. If a room is a bit dirt, I use more vacuum power or more moisture pad. For regular cleaning i leave chairs down and it seems able to navigate around them 3) i think you’re expectation are too high. 4) it seems slow also to me. Mind you I still just ordered an x50 because my deebot t80 omni is on its second warranty in 7 months. They're all junk. Most Chinese goods are no r&d because the lack of copyright laws lets them just copy other products. Cheap mass production, poor distribution pipeline. Robot vacuums are shit. Either go reliable but it's stupid as fuck and just bounces off the wall. Or get something smart and unreliable. That's why the 5-year warranty makes it worth it because if I'm always waiting for warranty at least I have 5 years.

Thanks for the guide! I was looking at Dreame x50 ultra (729€) but I'm also wondering whether this model might be overkill for us. We live in a 64 m² apartment — no kids, no pets, and no obstacles. There's only one small carpet near the sofa, and tiles only in the bathroom. We're pretty pedantic; you won't find crumbs on the floor. So I'm wondering whether it's worth investing that much for our situation, or if we should go for something much cheaper. If so, which model from your guide you could recommend?

Poor vacuuming and mopping. Dreame just sent me the x50 as a replacement and it's much much worse. Doesn't pull any water, most of the the time it's just roaming around not vacuuming. Every day is a new issue. I just got a message saying that the main brush is wrapped. On what? Who knows, I have 0 exposed cables. We'll see when I get home. r/RobotVacuums · Which roller mop for 1st robot vacuum?

A lot of the "complexity" is current tech, don't you agree. Let's stay factual here, all the climbing features are last gen, we haven't changed them, they have proven themselves, even the lift systems (which I would argue are more complex than the mop.). Obstacle avoidance also, the extending sidebrush (did it ever fail on the X40 or whatever bot when it was introduced, I haven't seen it). The mopping part (roller) is pretty much a spinning motor, which we have had with any other brush roller, or even with mop pads. The drying has been there already, the dual solution cleaning has also been released with the X50, retractable lidar, let me guess X50 or even earlier X40 Ultra in China. The water dispensing is also the same as on the mop pads, just that it is spread out. The lifting part of the mop is also old tech. So what remains, what exactly is so new? The roller fluffy spinner (which fluffs the roller up) or maybe the roller cover, I guess the dirty water tank and the pump that removes it? Also the form-factor as a whole. If you look at it that way, there hasn't really been a lot of innovation with it. I would actually argue on the contrary, the X50 at least to me, seems to be the bigger step, with retractable lidar and the lifting wheels and the capability to cross thresholds. We can always wait longer, but people like me, that have the S9 Roomba and M6 Braava don't want to wait, we would like something new and fresh now. Every year we will have new models, progress and more complexity, that is the market right now.

I own two X50’s. One upstairs and one downstairs. Overall, they’re decent machines. I think they excel at mopping, and love how you can change the wetness of the mop. I also love how easy these things are to clean and refill, etc. They definitely have some gaps when it comes to actually picking up debris though. They pick up about 75% of what they pass over so I have to do two runs with them most of the time.

r/RobotVacuums · Help me decide - yet another Dreame X50 vs Roborock Saros 10R

I went for the Roborock Saros 10R eventually. I am known with Roborock for a few years now (I bought a S50 5 years ago for my parents) and my overall experience with Roborock is very good. I do really like the X50's design (its slimmer, but the robot itself is as wide as the 10R) but there are some dealbreakers for me: \- Although the battery life should not be an issue for our house (+/- 45m2), it could be a problem in the future (e.g. maybe we are moving to a bigger house, want to use it on the first and second floor) \- Roborocks Saros 10r height is 8cm where the Dreame X50 is 8.9 with the Lidar retracted. Under our bed and sofa it could be a close call for the Dreame X50. Something I dont want to risk. \- Cleaning the inside of the mopping wash tray was something Just A Dad mentioned about the X50 which is not that great. The Saros 10R got a tray you can take out and wash. The Dreame X50 needs some cleaning inside the dock underneath the little tray. As our dock is sitting in between a closet and sofa its not ideal for me to clean it in between. Both are great and have good performances but the Saros 10R was €1099, the same price as the Dreame X50. It was hard, but based on the pros of the Roborock Saros 10R I had to pick that one, even though I dont like the design.

r/RobotVacuums · Help me decide - yet another Dreame X50 vs Roborock Saros 10R

Which one have you gone for, if you made a decision? I went for the X50 as there is no 10R on the UK, and want sure about what seems like a legacy mopping system on the 10. I’m pretty happy with the X50, came with loads of spare parts which is nice. Retractable lidar tower means it can go below some furniture and I’ve raised some other pieces with 3D printed feet so it will fit. It does all of these areas after the main vacuum run for the room whereas I imagine the 10R would do it at the same time. Vacuum power seems like enough and the dual brush system seems to pick up everything from carpets, no long hairs tangled yet. Mopping is great, it cleans the pads regularly and they look clean, dries them, the base station looks like it won’t need too much maintenance. No little pieces to remove and clean. Battery life is a concern, runs down pretty quick. It will do our apartment of about 80 m2 vac and mop if starting from 100%. So it’s enough, just feel a bit of range anxiety like a gen 1 ev! ;) The app is A-, has all the features, just could have a little more polish to the UI and where options are in the menu system. I’m yet to integrate with home assistant. I want to make some scripts to tell Siri to clean different rooms and also to automate the process of cleaning another floor. But looks like there is an integration that exposes almost everything so should be possible.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy

I have 4 levels (2 stories with full height step on each floor) and the Dreame x50 does most of the main level. We have old Roombas upstairs (671 & 960) for the bedrooms. Would the Switchbot Mini K10+ be a decent purchase to replace one (or both since the price is so low on the mfg site) of the Roombas? All hardwood with one area rug, 3 cats, and 4 moderately long haired humans. Do you have any tips for ramps? Because of the damn step our X50 can’t get to the living room and picking it up to move it isn’t happening as often as I’d like. I may get around to building something eventually, but eventually isn’t anytime soon. 😂

You really like the 3i S10 more than both by that much? Newer companies typically put me off a little, as I'm worried about folding or being bought out and dismantled. I was leaning Saros 10R with refilling and draining station, but then realized it only has a 1 year warranty. The X50 having a 5 year warranty, more included accessories, and similar performance seems like a better choice.

r/RobotVacuums · Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy

Hi Amanda, a big thank you from Italy! Unfortunately, I returned the Dreame X50 Ultra—not because I didn’t like it (it’s a great device), but I found the mopping performance a bit underwhelming. The vacuuming was good, but I still felt a slight “film of fine dirt” under my feet. I have a house of about 140 sqm, almost entirely wood parquet, except for the two bathrooms, which are porcelain stoneware. I don’t have many low furniture pieces—in the kitchen, the plinth is about 12 cm high, same for the bathroom fixtures—so I don’t have big clearance needs. I also don’t have many pets, and only two bath mats that I can easily remove when cleaning. I’ve also purchased a separate vacuum cleaner for complementary use. Budget isn’t a big issue, and I really like the idea of a robot with a rolling mop, which is why I was considering the **Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni**. However, I’m hesitant because replacement brushes are not available on the official website, and it seems you can’t mop only, without vacuuming first or during. Would you recommend waiting for upcoming products from other brands, or should I go ahead and get the Ecovacs during Prime Day? I was also interested in the **Mova V50 Ultra Complete**, but it seems very similar to the Dreame X50. What do you suggest?

I agree. The point I was making was my model, and I'm sure a few other high end models will mop to the highest standard possible. I cant see any way my floors could be cleaner. Vacuuming though maybe, a high end corded vac would probably pull far more dust deep out of your carpet than a robo vac could.

Dont agree with it reducing vaccing and mopping. This is ture, but not for all models in my experience. My x50 ultra mops my floors to perfection, it gets them a lot cleaner than manually mopping and I have tested this. Again, no need to ever vac except for the stairs, and the very rare piece of sock fluff that gets entwined in carpet fibers.

This depends on the vac itself, the space, the kind of floor, the kind of mess, and personal standards. I'm pretty laissez faire and personally more then happy with the job my robot does without any need to intervene, but I've noticed during my time reading here that there is a wide range of tolerances to what counts as "clean enough": some people want more than many robots deliver 🤷‍♀️

    r/RobotVacuums · Honest Dreame X50 Ultra (Pro) review - tl;dr included

Pay the extra money and get it from the US if you are living here, if anything goes wrong with any robot vac you want to have the easiest time possible getting it fixed/replaced and with all the moving parts in the c50 ultra specifically, you’ll be glad you paid a little extra to get one with a 5 year warranty

    r/Roborock · Saros 10R 24 Hour Review

Please let me know how you evaluate the robot after these 3 months of use. Are you still moderately satisfied? Is obstacle avoidance still lacking? I'm looking for a robot vacuum and was almost decided on the Dreame X50 Ultra, as it has 360-degree LIDAR and more features than Roborock. However, I've read a lot of negative reviews about their warranty service. I'm torn about what to choose; currently, I've had the Roborock S5 for eight years, so switching to any kind of new equipment would be a huge upgrade.

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 Ultra: my first impressions

X50 can go up to 6cm threshold though with a slight trick. If u have more than 3 or 4 cm threshold, u need to use a 1cm or 2 cm ramp in order for it to climb the threshold successfully. I have a 5.5 cm threshold in my kitchen and it has been successful so far to climb, after i put the ramp near the threshold.

    r/Roborock · Saros 10R 24 Hour Review

I completely agree that the new robots are not perfect. They cannot replace a stick vacuum. My 7 year-old Dyson V8 still does a far better job in one quick pass than my Dreame L40 on criss-cross deep clean with tricut brush. My first Dreame L40 was a dud, but Dreame replaced it one week after they saw my review on Amazon. Hopefully it keeps running! It does pick up about 85% of my corgi’s fur on medium pile carpet. The Mova P10 Pro Ultra I have seems about the same. The $900 Dreame L40 and $700 Mova P10 Pro Ultra are much better than my S7 MaxV Ultra, but still not a replacement for the old Dyson V8. And I think these “20,000+ pascal” suction numbers are just vaporware marketing. I don’t think these flagship bots (Dreame X50, Roborock Saros, etc) are worth $1200 - $1600.

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 Ultra: my first impressions

Also bought the X50 one week ago. I am satisfied. We had the Neato BotVac D3 before, a robot dinosaur. The X50 is huge! Cleans borders, intelligent obstacle detection, cleaning station, intelligent drop out of the pads beside walls and corners... And the suction is awesome for carpets as well. Some minor issues with track calculation, the X50 rotates in some areas; don’t know why, hope it’s getting fixed with future firmware version. Anyway, floor has never been that clean, we just love it!

    r/RobotVacuums · Honest Dreame X50 Ultra (Pro) review - tl;dr included

Thanks for this review, I own the X40 and I don't see any reason to switch to the X50 as of now. FOr some reason it looks like the X50 may be a downgrade. I wish they didn't change so much and simply improved on the X40 by adding the retractable lidar sensor and adding the height feature to go over taller saddles in between rooms which is actually a great features for many homes FYI.
