r/projectors · JMGO N3 4K vs XGIMI Horizon 20 Base: Which one should I keep for a 150" dark basement setup? I'm currently using their N1S 4K and honestly, it's been a really good experience for me. The picture is sharp, and the fan noise is barely noticeable in my setup. After using it for a while, I've been pretty happy with how JMGO has performed. The N3 4K is a step up from the N1S 4K with extra features like optical zoom, so I'd imagine it's a pretty capable option too. That said, every projector has its own trade-offs. Tbh, if you have the chance, just compare your N3 4k with your friend’s Horizon 20 in the same room and see which one you actually prefer.

It is brighter, has optical lens shift, and uses the newest 4K DLP chip. If I were choosing between the two, I would take the Horizon in a second over the JMGO. I don’t say that all the time. For the money, the JMGO is still a strong model. The H20 is just a step up.

I was having this dilemma with the horizon 20 base and the jmgo n1s ultimate. $100 difference currently . They are both very similar except the refresh rate as the horizon is higher (considering occasionally gaming on it). The reason im happy i chose the jmgo though it the slight more portability and the ports in the base. I just ordered though so it hasnt gotten yet however i can provide an update later. I think in general specs the horizon is better than the jmgo n3. I think the main difference was the brightness. 1800 lumens vs 3200. Depending if you want to watch during the day you would choose one over the other. But honestly, just have the projectors sit side by side and test it since you have that option and then decide if you want to keep it or not.

r/JMGO_official · Jmgo N3 ultimate I appreciate is fair and honest review. I bought the N3 4K version a couple of months ago and can relate exactly what you are saying. Even the 4K model has amazing speakers, auto view to the screen and many other great features. Having said that I’m sure it doesn’t compare anything to the N3 Ultimate. One day I’ll get it. Just going to enjoy the N3 4K for a couple of years.

r/projectors · Hisense C2 vs M2 Pro I just returned the M2 pro. It’s not that bright so you basically have to watch in the complete darkness. As with most projectors. But for some reason I got eye fatigue for the 24 hours following using the M2 pro only for a few hours in a day. I ended up with a JMGO N3 4K. While not as good picture as the M2 pro, it doesn’t burn my eyes. My suggestion is to review the return policy. Costco is great. 90 days and 2 year warranty. If you have only 30 days and have to pay to ship it back then that is going to cost and there’s always a risk of shipping.

r/projectors · Samsung's Freestyle+ projector is now available for $1,200 Not the same category as that xgimi flip weigh 2x heavier, can't be powered by usb c, likely can't be powered by power bank too. The xgimi comparison will be mogo lineup and halo+. It's portable and mini category so quite specific and not meant for most people. If you don't care about size and weight, even that xgimi flip 4k isn't the best as jmgo n3 4k will be better at a similar price (brighter and has better speakers).

r/projectors · jmgo projector The N3 has optical zoom but no lens shift so isn't as flexible on placement as the XGIMI HORIZON 20 Pro. One would need to get the N3 Ultimate to get lens shift. Nowadays I would recommend getting the XGIMI Titan Noir (base, Pro, or Max) from the Kickstarter campaign at a significantly reduced price. It's a far superior projector for about the same price as the HORIZON 20 Pro and N3 Ultimate.

r/projectors · jmgo projector N3 4K has like 50% extra lumens compared to the older N1S 4K that I own. Also has an extra HDMI and an optical zoom. That zoom could be handy if you move from outdoors to bedroom. N1S ultimate has a lot more lumens. N1S 4K can possibly be at a huge discount too.... Tough choices :) I think it really depends on your OUTDOOR situation. What are you watching and how much ambient light are we talking about?

The xgimi flip 4k is still comfortably portable for most people at 3.5 lbs, but the jmgo n3 4k pushes past the point of portability for a lot of people at 8 lbs. But either way, the Samsung Freestyle+ is a terrible deal.
