At night once the room is dark, it automatically goes into sleep mode and turns all lights off. I’m on my third 450. The first two always stayed in auto mod. Finally the third one works and self adjust when in auto mode and goes into sleep mode went the room is dark

(284cfm vs 133cfm). Honestly the Blueair is slightly underpowered for your room, but the airmega is slightly overpowered for your room. When it comes to airpurifiers always go with overpowered!

The 300/400 are for larger spaces. I’d recommend the 250 for a large bedroom, the 150 for a small bedroom, and the 300 or 400. I don’t recommend the 350 - the round design is inherently inferior to the others on this list.

I have no idea why manufacturers don't put carbon on the outside of circular filters just like how it's done for flat ones - maybe cost? Who knows. And I tend to buy a bunch of filters to keep in storage whenever they go on sale, so the space savings helps, but if you're just buying only when it's time to replace, the space savings isn't really meaningful.

My understanding is that the carbon-behind configuration leads to a shorter lifespan on the HEPA. Both seem to have a pellet-type carbon filter but an owner would need to confirm. One other note - storing round filters is space-inefficient.

I actually reached out to Amazon (where I purchased from) and they were happy to extend my return for 3 months. The 350 comes with a 1yr manufacturer warranty, so I'm hoping they will release the filter replacement for it within that time. Or I'm returning. Lol. The 350 is amazing. Very quiet. Looks sleek and doesnt take up much space. So far quite happy with it. I also have the airmega ap-1512 for the bedrooms.

Like you said, maybe it's fairly new and filters are not released yet. I tried to reach out to coway multiple times via email as well as phone (waited over 30 mins) and haven't had any luck hearing back from anyone 😫. How are you guys liking the Airmega 350? Do you think I should return it for the 450 or just start using and wait it out (hopefully) for the filters? The space I'm using it for is in the living/kitchen/dining area and covers around 2000sqft.

I'm sure we'll start seeing third-party filters as these devices get good reviews and become more popular. A removable and washable pre-filter would have been nice, though that's rare with round units.

The 2,640 sq. ft. coverage figure is for 1 Air Change per Hour (ACH). This is too low. Generally you want minimum of 4.8-5 ACH. But I think CADRs are the more important metric. The Airmega 350 is low on Dust and Smoke CADRs. Not a huge fan of the integrated pre-filter either; usually a separate permanent pre-filter is better.
