Points faibles
Aucun point faible notable.

r/roomba · Combo 10 Max for $250 Combo j9 dosnt have a ramp. It just has the auto empty dust bin design of the older auto empty bins but with the auto fill box ontop of it
r/roomba · Combo 10 Max for $250 No this is a combo 10. Should be all black. The combo j9 has brown accents and a wood top panel on the dock

r/RobotVacuums · Irobot Roomba Combo J9 vs Dreame L50 Pro Ultra That Roomba video from Vacuum Wars is almost 2 years old now, while the Dreame L50 is a very fresh review. Robots have come a long way in two years, and what was acceptable then is a poor value today. You can get much better combo robots today for less money than the j9.

r/roomba · Update your iRobot App (Classic) Is this the problem where the robot just never stays connected to WiFi, or is my j9+ just a PoS (our current hypothesis)?

r/RobotVacuums · 3rd Robot Vacuum recommendation's attempt. Can spend up to 1500€. With **80 m², hard floors, auto‑empty, and a Bernese**, your problem isn’t navigation or mopping — it’s **hair throughput**. The Eufys failing makes total sense; their internal bins are just too small for that level of shedding. At **up to €1500**, I’d realistically only look at **three models**: ### ✅ **Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra** Probably the safest recommendation. - Excellent **dual rubber rollers** → very good with heavy dog hair - Large dust handling + reliable **auto‑empty** - Strong mopping on tile (vibra mop is solid on marble) - Very mature software + mapping - Low babysitting once set up This is the one most people with big shedding dogs end up happy with. --- ### ✅ **Dreame X40 Ultra / L20 Ultra** Strong alternative if priced well where you are. - Massive suction - Good hair pickup (not quite Roomba‑level, but strong) - Very good mop handling on hard floors - Dock is capable but slightly more maintenance than Roborock Good choice if you want strong mopping + automation, but Roborock is still more “set and forget”. --- ### ⚠️ **iRobot Roomba Combo j9+** Worth mentioning because of your dog. - **Best hair handling in the industry**, period - Large bin, doesn’t clog easily - Great edge cleaning But: - Navigation is worse than Roborock/Dreame - Mopping is basic compared to the others - Louder and slower If vacuuming dog hair is the #1 priority and mopping is secondary, this still makes sense. --- ### What I would **avoid** (based on your experience) - Any Eufy Omni for heavy‑shedding dogs - Anything with small internal bins - Anything that relies on bristle brushes instead of rubber --- ### Practical tip for Bernese owners (important) Even with a €1500 robot: - Run **vacuum‑only daily** - Mop every 2–3 days - Clean wheels weekly (dog hair will kill docking otherwise — exactly what you saw) --- ### My blunt pick for your case If you want **least hassle + best balance**: 👉 **Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra** If you want **maximum dog‑hair dominance**: 👉 **Roomba j9+ (accept weaker mopping)**

To be fair neither of mine are massive droolers! its more the long hair pick up an then just the fact that for the downstairs at least having the mop function just keeps on top of any wet/dirty paws that come back in especially during the autumn/winter!

r/RobotVacuums · What to go for moving forwards? I love your Roomba lineup and have them as well. These are their best models imo. I too wish the s9+ was further developed but the j9 is the closest spiritual successor. As mentioned Dreame is probably going to be your best bet but Narwal is worth considering too if you have them in the UK! Just make sure you get a Dreame model with their duo roller brush to handle your pet hair or if you are buying a cheaper model grab their tricut brush to help!

r/roomba · Stuck issue No, i told them the error messages, they replied with the FAQs aboit it and wanted pictures where the dock was at, ect Then said i had it in a bad spot and to move it, (i dident) but replied I did and thats when they offered to replace it (that one was a replacement of a lower model that had a POOP incident) so basically i got upgraded for free due to their shitty HW/SW.
r/roomba · Stuck issue Yep, they blamed the placement of the doc, when i told them i "moved" it then they offered to replace it with the combo max 10

r/roomba · Stuck issue So they didn't even want to know about the problem. They just tried to make you buy the latest model🥲. Did you get any way to solve it yourself or did you change it for the new model?

Wow, thanks for spotting that, it's too good to pass up. My J9 needs a new dust bin, that I was prepared to pay $250 for, now I can get a whole new system for that price! I've been using a lot of the newer flagship robots, but I've realized there are things I've come to depend on that no other robot can do: 1. Vacuum closely around my round dining table pedestal. All other vacuums leave a 1-inch gap, which is unfortunately where all the crumbs collect. 2. Clean under curtains and bedding. 3. Clean well along glass sliding doors. 4. Voice control of shortcuts/routines.
There's a "Smart Scrub" option. With it off, it's just dragging a micro-fiber cloth, but with considerable downforce. It's good for light mopping. For tougher stains, the Smart Scrub will make the robot scrub back and forth, which I have found to be very effective. Navigation has always been great for me, as long as there is sufficient light. It can't navigate in the dark like LiDAR bots can. It's also great at obstacle avoidance, especially pet waste, but can be too conservative (leave more space than ideal). The next generation of bots, starting with the Freo Z will do better with that. Vacuum pickup is simply the best of any combination vac/mop bot. That's what Roombas are the best at. Here's a more detailed write-up of my experience, including a video of mopping performance: [Dreame L20 Ultra vs Roomba J9+ Combo Review (also S9+/M6) : r/RobotVacuums (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1aiwbcb/dreame_l20_ultra_vs_roomba_j9_combo_review_also/)
I actually prefer that the J9 doesn't self-clean the pads. I've tried robots that do, but keep going back to the J9. I keep a month's supply of pads in the station door, and it's literally just 3 seconds to swap a pad. Then, once a month, I put all the used pads in the washing machine on a proper sanitize setting. This gets them way cleaner than a cleaning base station ever will. In fact, many users of cleaning stations say they put their pads in the wash every couple weeks anyway, and they are way more tedious to remove and replace than with the J9 (where it's just on the top). Then couple that with: 1. Not having to frequently empty smelly, dirty water tank 2. Not having to replace clean water/fluid as frequently because it's not consumed washing pads 3. Not having to periodically cleaning out the depths of the base station (even the self-cleaning ones) 4. True quiet when not in use vs hours of hum while it dries the pads 5. Instant starting of J9 vs waiting minutes for it to wash its pads before each run.
