    r/Roborock · Climb robot, climb! →2025-10-18

This is what it looks like with the virtual walls. Originally, I had physical walls going all the way down to the floor, because if I left it open, it would drive underneath the ramp and detect the stairs as a wall, and then the rest of the house would then get cut off. I started trying to have it map as much as it could from the bottom. I did this a while ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. I did try to have it spot clean in areas above the ramp to make it go up the ramp. Once I had it mapped out, I removed the physical walls and added the virtual ones. Now it has no issues going up or down, but I did need to adjust the lengths of the virtual walls for it to perform reliably.

r/RobotVacuums · Pet owners, which robot vacuum is better? →2026-03-10

Owning a shark vacuum was one of my most frustrating endeavors in the last year. Finally gave up and threw it away once I bought the Revo plus from Costco. Works great now! Wish I had done it sooner

r/homeassistant · What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? →2025-02-17

I'm using Roborock Qrevo right now. The price is budget-friendly, and the integration is native (support local based on the document).

I’ve also been very happy with our Qrevo, but it does get tangled up in cables a lot (I really need to do some better cable management in my home office).

    r/RobotVacuums · Eufy X10 Review after 350+ hours →2024-11-23

The wyze vac is really a steal for what it's capable of, if they had a version with a self empty dock I would have happily got that. I got a Q revo as my upgrade and have been very happy with its performance and functionality aside from the dock occasionally clogging with pet hair.

    r/RobotVacuums · Suggestions? Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs. Roborock S8 MaxV →2024-09-26

I just sold my S8 MaxV Ultra in anticipation of the Freo Z Ultra… the spinning brushes are far superior in floor cleaning. I also have a Q Revo, it is a better mopping robot, though it lacks the rgb camera for proper obstacle avoidance. The Freo Z seems to have amazing obstacle avoidance and I kind of like that it goes and washes the mop and doesn’t just keep mopping with dirty brushes throughout the whole house.

r/RobotVacuums · MOVA V50 Ultra vs Dreame X50 Ultra for the same price? →2026-05-23

I haven’t tried Mova V50, but just got X50 Ultra and not sure why it gets so many good reviews. My old Roborock Q Revo finishes the apartment in 30 mins and covers the edges and corners better. Always cleans in straight lines. X50 takes 60 minutes because it spins around, stumbles, hesitates, raises and retracts the lidar. It feels like it’s always behind itself and has to stop and think before making the next move. Navigation is really bad. Also it’s too shy of going in tight places and leaves areas dirty. Carpet detection is pretty bad , it cannot figure out the exact edges of our area rug. In the beginning we had a problem where it constantly failed to pick up the mats. I bought it open box for $380 and it appeared to be brand new, but I am still debating if I should return it. I can’t imagine paying $800-1000 for this mediocre product

r/ProductQuery · My search for the best robot vacuum for pet hair… here’s what I ended up learning →2026-05-06

I hopped on the robot vacuum trend early on years ago and went thru about 3 of them because they all ran over the dog's poop. So trust me I understand. The thing that most people don't understand (as you experienced, trust me, you're far from alone on this) is that technology in the vacuum matters. I saw you got the roborock self-empty, which one exactly? Does it have AI-tracking for objects? My aunt has the Roborock QRevo and it actually is mind-blowing how well it does with identifying objects or obstacles and avoiding them. Happy to discuss more.

Well,if you're prepared to accept spinning mop pads-I find them fine tbh.The roborock Qrevo is going for about 450 euros on Amazon now.Seems a good all-rounder with a nice price/performance point.Plus its been around for a fair while now so any issues, bugs have probably been sorted by now.Or spend more and look at the curv model.

r/homeassistant · What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? →2025-02-17

I had the Ecovacs X1 Omni and it was a good mop/vacuum overall but the software drove me crazy to the point where I had to return it. I have a Roborock QX Revo now, and the software is way better. I haven't done a side by side to test which was better at cleaning but the Ecovacs either had a way larger battery or used less battery because I used to use it on my second floor (all carpet, except the two washrooms) and would do the 3 bedrooms with two passes and the rest only one pass and it still had battery left. Setting up the Roborock the same way with the same suction setting, I can't even finish the entire floor with one pass everywhere.

If I were buying today, I would focus on one that fills/dumps the water automatically. I have the Roborock Q Revo and it is solid… I just have to dump/fill the tanks after about three mops. I’ve got all the parts in my Amazon cart to automate this. My hesitancy has been about how much automation/metering do I want and how much safety net do I want!!
