r/homeassistant · What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? really? it’s been plug and play for me
r/homeassistant · What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? ah i just made the routines in HA and just call from HA. i don’t use the app
r/homeassistant · What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? i hear you - my POV, which i realize may not be strictly accurate is that if something can be configured to do complex automations (room cleaning etc) in 15-20 minutes in HA then that counts as plug and play :)

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review One of the primary reasons I upgraded to the QRevo Curv was for the new anti tangle rollers. I live in a household with a few women that have long thick hair that was constantly getting tangled up in my original QRevo. I've only owned it for a few days, but when running it daily alongside my original QRevo, the new Curvs dirty water tank is also noticeably dirtier. The majority of the other features may be extremely similar in performance to models like the Master, but if the Curv can prevent or significantly reduce hair tangles, then that's a win for me.

r/homeautomation · Why do robot vacuums still need so much hands-on effort? (Expectation vs. Reality) Different perspective here, but I have a Roborock Q Revo and I swap the internal filter when the app says to do so. It's a little snap-in component and it doesn't take long to swap. It might depend on how dusty your environment is, though.
r/homeautomation · Why do robot vacuums still need so much hands-on effort? (Expectation vs. Reality) I don't think that it suggests the swap based on performance or any sort of sensor. The app just prompts you to replace it after 150 hours of runtime.

r/Roborock · Really Roborock? The s8 MaxV was never $2600 and quoting savings of $1100 is kind of misleading. Same thing for the original Q Revo where the price is 850$ and they said the original price is $1299. I've seen it go for a lot cheaper than $850 on non prime days
r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review I like my original q revo. Does just fine

r/Roborock · Thinking about getting the Saros 10r on Prime Day I have a Curv with the same design of main brush and noticed too that it does a worse job on carpets, even compared to my old Q Revo. The issue is with the dust bin opening being strictly in the middle between the rollers and as the result the suction on the sides is worse. But yeah, it mostly is ok on Max setting.

r/RobotVacuums · Suggestions? Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs. Roborock S8 MaxV I just sold my S8 MaxV Ultra in anticipation of the Freo Z Ultra… the spinning brushes are far superior in floor cleaning. I also have a Q Revo, it is a better mopping robot, though it lacks the rgb camera for proper obstacle avoidance. The Freo Z seems to have amazing obstacle avoidance and I kind of like that it goes and washes the mop and doesn’t just keep mopping with dirty brushes throughout the whole house.

r/homeassistant · What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? I love the vacuum, but getting it to integrate with HA is a pain. I wish it was just plug and play.
r/homeassistant · What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? I got it set up once, but the only options were basically to start (clean the whole house) or to stop. No ability to clean just a room, or to change the cleaning type. I just went to uninstall and reinstall, and now I can't even get it set up. When I try, I get a message "No device found within your Roborock account".

r/RobotVacuums · MOVA V50 Ultra vs Dreame X50 Ultra for the same price? I haven’t tried Mova V50, but just got X50 Ultra and not sure why it gets so many good reviews. My old Roborock Q Revo finishes the apartment in 30 mins and covers the edges and corners better. Always cleans in straight lines. X50 takes 60 minutes because it spins around, stumbles, hesitates, raises and retracts the lidar. It feels like it’s always behind itself and has to stop and think before making the next move. Navigation is really bad. Also it’s too shy of going in tight places and leaves areas dirty. Carpet detection is pretty bad , it cannot figure out the exact edges of our area rug. In the beginning we had a problem where it constantly failed to pick up the mats. I bought it open box for $380 and it appeared to be brand new, but I am still debating if I should return it. I can’t imagine paying $800-1000 for this mediocre product

r/homeautomation · Why do robot vacuums still need so much hands-on effort? (Expectation vs. Reality) I occasionally blast mine with compressed air to clear it, have yet to get the notification to swap in over a year. Also we use MERV 12 or higher air filters in the house, which significantly reduces dust.

r/homeassistant · What’s the best robot vacuum for pet hair that actually works?? I have the entry level Roborock Qrevo and I have 2 basset hounds and 2 beagles and it’s working really good for 2 years now. I do have to empty the dustbin every 10 days or so.

r/homeowners · Do any of you use robovac? worth it or just a scam? Absolutely, keeps my wife and I sane! We bought the Roborock QRevo off Amazon, and it has given us so much time back. We paid about $399 and it mops and vacuums our 2,000 sqft 1 story. I run that sucker about 3-4 times a week. We have 3 small dogs, a cat, lots of plants and two busy adults who cook almost everyday. Dogs consistently track dirt and hair throughout the house. We now deep clean and mop about once every 6 weeks

r/RobotVacuums · Looking for a robot vacuum Well,if you're prepared to accept spinning mop pads-I find them fine tbh.The roborock Qrevo is going for about 450 euros on Amazon now.Seems a good all-rounder with a nice price/performance point.Plus its been around for a fair while now so any issues, bugs have probably been sorted by now.Or spend more and look at the curv model.

r/minimalism · Is there a minimal tool to get the floors done? A robot vacuum or what else? I don’t know what your budget looks like, and the cost of what I’m about to recommend is frankly ridiculous, but I LOVE the roborock qrevo. I managed to get mine used AND on sale on Amazon a year ago for less than half the price and it has been so worth it. It mops and vacuums wonderfully, I never have problems with it, and maybe once a month I just have to fill the dock with clean water, empty the dirty water, wipe down a couple parts, and check the dust collector on the dock. It’s awesome and running it every other day my floors are 100% spotless. It also works well on carpet.

r/homeassistant · What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? If I were buying today, I would focus on one that fills/dumps the water automatically. I have the Roborock Q Revo and it is solid… I just have to dump/fill the tanks after about three mops. I’ve got all the parts in my Amazon cart to automate this. My hesitancy has been about how much automation/metering do I want and how much safety net do I want!!

r/RobotVacuums · Which one to choose? Waiting for Black Friday deals Zero regrets about paying 700 for my q revo last year. I've seen them as low as $300 on ebay refurbished from roborock if you need to penny pinch. Otherwise I've been seeing them for around 500 on this side of the pond.

r/Roborock · Returning my Qrevo Curv After 2 Weeks Of USE, 50 Sessions + - Honest Review Vacuum Wars are obviously paid by Roborock to praise their products to the skies, I would never spend that type of money. The first qrevo is a better value, save your money folks

r/homeassistant · What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? Saw a few posts from people cursing how difficult it was to include routines, and how much yaml was necessary to make it all work. I'm talking mopping intensity, vacuum power, what rooms to do in which order and so on. I just gave up mentally before I looked into it more. You're saying it's easy, should I look again?
r/homeassistant · What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? Just an observation, doesn't mean it's not easy or doable. Just means it's not plug & play in terms of what that actually means. Plug & play means in this case that you add the vacuum to HA and it immediately fetches all available information including created routines. All you then need to do is to show that information on a card for example. Just pointing out what the term means. Looks like it requires a bit of effort to get going, which doesn't mean it's going to be hard, but it means it's not p&p. Apologies for the seemingly snarky remark.
r/homeassistant · What's the best robot vacuum for home currently? Not so plug and play then

Roborock Q Revo or S8 MaxV. Both have self-cleaning brush rolls that dont tangle. Combo mop + vac so you get the tile covered too. Had mine 2 years with two dogs, maybe cut hair out once.
