I feel like some categories NEED to be weighted as more or less important. The fact that object avoidance is mediocre automatically a big no for me. I don’t care if the other specs are good and it has cool features. If I have to babysit and worry it’ll run over something then it’s not a good robot vacuum.

You guys sound like paid advertisements. The V50 is not bad, vacuums and mops well, object avoidance also works well most of the time. But navigation, cleaning time and battery life are below average. Hopefully they'll fix that in future firmware updates.

Awesome review! I'll add my quick two cents as well since I have also had both the E28 and now the V50 for about a week I totally agree about your roller vs spinning mop assessment. I actually have found the V50 to mop significantly better in my house than the E28. My kitchen often has flour caked on the floor (messy partner). The E28 would leave big splotches of it every time, even when I had it mop the room twice. The V50 got it all in one go the first time. I also absolutely hate cleaning the E28's dirty water tank and roller, which you absolutely have to do weekly if you mop regularly because it gets very nasty. I really think now that roller mops are a gimmick that provides no advantage in normal household use I found the E28's overall navigation to be better in some awkward rooms with a lot of furniture, but the V50 I found gets closer to edges much better Object avoidance seems much better on the V50 so far. It has detected a lot more things than the E28 ever did in my house. One example, I have a rubber mat with small raised edges that I set cat food and water on. The E28 would want to steamroll over it every time and would get caught and spill the water dish, I had to add a no go zone. The V50 avoided it without issue first try. I'm struggling to get the V50 to go under my bed, which it absolutely can fit if it lowers the lidar and is well within the advertised height. My testing on this so far has actually been concerning, it literally smacks its lidar on the bottom of the bedframe and won't go under, and I'm a bit worried it might damage itself. I know it can lower the lidar since it does it under my dressers, so still tinkering with settings to figure the bed issue out I think Mova and Dreame has an issue with its wheels on models that can raise themselves. I was super impressed during its first run just how quiet it was, but after it lifted itself over a threshold the first time it now sounds like it's rattling on hardwood floors. I've heard similar stories from Mova and Dreame owners so I'm wondering if this is just to be expected. I'm going to open a support ticket for this

To me personally it doesn't matter how much battery life is left at the end of it's job. It finished the job so that's fine. To test the resume cleaning I set the robot to max+ double pass on about 1000sq home knowing it would eat the battery. It went to recharge to resume and in about an hr it resumed and finished the job. It doesn't matter to me how long it takes for the job. I got it so I could be busy with something else and that's what I do. But again, that's me. Different people have different expectations.

Good to know about the T80 as well. I really want to like roller mops but even the Z50 seems to be having issues with the mop roller tearing and problems docking. I own a Mova P10 Pro Ultra that now lives at my parents house and if it wasn't for a few little features I like/need for my floorplan, I'd probably have just kept it as daily robot.

Price was the deciding factor for me. On prime day the mova was 949 and the saros was 1279. Factor in that I would need a 3 year warranty with the saros which would add another 129 dollars and then the 150 worth of free stuff mova sends you, it just didnt make sense to get the saros

FarConcern2308r/RobotVacuums · Dreame x50 vs Mova Z50 →2025-06-15
Hair management: Dreame X50 Ultra wins with fur compression. MOVA’s TriCut brush works great too. I have a long haired corgi and the TriCut brush works just fine with no tangles over 700 hours. Dreame’s dustbin is 395mL and MOVA’s is 300mL which is the same volume as the Dreame X40 ultra. I’d check how the dustbin is after every room for the first cleaning. You can run the Z50 to vacuum twice a day and mop once or even twice a day. TriCut doesn’t do as well for fur pickup on carpets compared to the dual brush on the X50 though. I don’t think both robots can get onto your shag rug and clean it well. True automation: Both robots have all in one base stations that autoempty, wash, and dry the mops. X50 cleans its own filter when autoemptying and the aceclean dryboard is easy to clean and cleans itself very well. The Z50 ultra has a removable mop pad cleaning tray, if I’m not mistaken. The Z50’s onboard dirty water tank will have to be cleaned but it also sprays the inside of the tank with clean water to prevent buildup. Maybe rinsing it once every two weeks would be good. Mopping: Z50 wins if you don’t need to mop super close to the edges. You can set the Z50 to shake its butt against the wall so the roller mop can get closer.

FarConcern2308r/RobotVacuums · Eufy E25 vs Dreame L40s Ultra vs Mova Z60 Ultra →2025-11-17
I own the Z60 ultra roller. MOVA sent me their Z60 Ultra roller complete and the V50 ultra complete as part of their Reddit collaboration program in exchange for writing a review of them. I can tell you there is a noticeable difference walking barefoot on my tile and hardwood floors after it has mopped. I was honestly expecting some features they advertised to be mere fluff and puffery but I’ve tested these and it actually made a difference. Unfortunately the review is delayed. You can read why here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/s/NbOqPXguch The eufy e25 looks like a really good alternative though, especially at 500. Just ask eufy for the updated onboard dirty water tank so it won’t leak any dirty water!

Also, the accessories are pretty amazing. I found the hidden mop pads under the 3 extra bags included too lol. All in, there are 12 extra and 2 on the machine. 3 extra bags and 1 in the stand. As well as all the filters, etc that everyone else mentioned. Very impressed with the accessories. I was concerned about my animals tripping out with them mova, but my elderly dog barely bats an eye (she was eating and it was vacuuming beside her lol) and one of the cats enjoys stalking her new toy so far!

Even though I received this as a gift from MOVA in exchange for creating content on Reddit I’m not a fan of the battery life too! My home is nowhere near 1000sqft that most people describe having and want a robot yet it’s below 50% after a simple vacuum run on standard suction. Finishes its vacuum first then mop run at like 20 something percent. I’ve also calculated the battery efficiency in my home (performance will vary based on how complex and big your home is) Vacuuming on standard suction and standard pathing: 0.972sqm (10.5sqft) cleaned for every 1% consumed Mopping on standard pathing and moisture level set to 16/32 : 2.07sqm (22.29sqft) for every 1% consumed For those with large homes, I think the resume cleaning function will be your best friend. I’d definitely run this way before any guests are coming over so it has more than enough time to charge (it charges pretty fast too). In comparison to my old one which was much more battery efficient with more than 50% after doing a vacuuming first then mopping task, it’s much quieter, picks up much more fur (the most important aspect for me), the base station keeps itself cleaner and the mop washboard is easier to clean, no more dust mites that spawned from the dust bag (I like the dustbin and dustbag drying on here especially since it’s 86% humidity most of the time like Florida or Texas), lifts much more grease from my kitchen floors with the hot water mop washing working to remove grease (so much oil on top of the dirty water in the dirty water tank after I set it to CleanGenius deep clean which shows the hot water was responsible for being able to bring the grease from the mop into the dirty water tank since it wasn’t emulsified), and I don’t have to save the robot anymore. I think that’s a fine tradeoff for me to make. Just like every robot vacuum (other than MO from wall-e), there’s a tradeoff.

I picked up the same one. I already had the Mova V50 but its battery couldn’t keep up with the size of my house. Was kind of upset that it didn’t include a soap dispenser. Another 40.00. Still waiting for that to be delivered. Overall, I like it for the price. It definitely does not have the bells and whistles of the Mova but it has a better battery life so that’s the trade off. I’m replacing the roller brush with a tricut I found on Amazon. We have a lot of cats so need one that won’t get wrapped up and will cut the hair.

Agreed on the navigation and app but the others I have not experienced. Dreame and Movas navigation really needs work all of my robots from them have exhibited some amount of navigation confusion compared to roborock. Their obstacle avoidance, however is class leading. The app is horrendous, constantly showing ads and has spelling mistakes/translations mistakes. Needs some QOL tweaks. As for the vacuum performance, not seen that with my Mova V50 which is practically identical to the x50. Picks up dirt, cat litter and most debris just fine. Have yet to encounter debris that it doesn't pickup. Though I think basically all robots will have issues picking up debris along thresholds or cracks/deep grout lines/ uneven areas because none of the brands have prioritized building good brush guards that seal on all surfaces and instead prioritize bullshit pascal numbers.

My V50. Cleans my LPV floor moderately well. I give it 7/10 but I have pretty high standards here. Highly recommend the F25 Ultra but it’s a manual clean. Never once had a hair tangled. Very quiet I do not run while sleeping. It’s not completely silent and the dock is much louder when it routinely returns. My largest complaint is the battery life is terrible. I cannot clean my entire first floor without recharging, so I will typically do one half one day and the other half the next day. Recharging waits until 100% to resume which is very annoying when it’s 90% done. The X50 is slightly worse on battery, less suction, but slightly more sanitary. Mova wins the contest on the warranty. 3 years.

Navigation is bad. It recognizes carpet as non-cleanable stains, consistently detects designs on a throw rug as cables, and does erratic designs in one spot of my vinyl floor where it just goes in circles, no matter what. It has good lighting there's no difference in the flooring in this area and it consistently does this. There's no mirrors there's no nothing just a hallway closet door. This is in custom cleaning or clean genius. I've contacted support but considering sending it back and getting a Roborock, it's not sure which one yet. And the battery life is atrocious

I just got mine out of the box today. I used it right away despite it not being fully charged, which was to be expected. It vacuumed and mapped my 2 bdrm condo in about 1.5 hours. I then fully charged it and had it vacuum my living room area rug. It finished with only 53% charge left. I am now charging it again. I will say, I am surprised with how quiet it is as I was expecting it to be much louder. I am less than impressed with its vacuuming prowess so far, however. It does well enough on my hardwood, which thankfully is the majority of flooring. Definitely not so good on low pile area rugs though. It’s brand new, so there shouldn’t be any issues with it being clogged already. I was hoping to be able to test out its mopping capabilities tonight, but this is taking a lot longer than initially expected. Not too big of a deal if I’m at work and it’s capable of chugging away in the meantime, but that all remains to be seen yet. I should add that it is more than capable of making it over the “lips” between bedroom floor and hallway. It also made it over the raised trim around my fireplace, so points for that.

I have both the p10pu and the v50. If you compare the two bots on a strictly cost to performance basis, then I don’t think you can beat the P10pu. The exceptions would be if you really valued something only the v50 could do like lowering lidar, climbing thresholds, etc. In other words, the v50 costs 100% more but only mops/vacuums 30 to 40% better, if that. So, diminishing returns. With that being said, the only thing I don’t like about the v50 is the battery drain but I just schedule around it.

Not sure why the obstacle avoidance is ranked the way it is. I’ve only had mine get stuck twice: once because my kids unrolled a ball of yarn and it was dark so hard to see, and once on the flat leg of a chair for some reason. Otherwise it’s been incredibly reliable at navigating and avoiding all the crap my kids leave on the floor haha.

I understand what you mean. I do like the cleaning station on the V50 more than the cleaning station on the P10 Pro Ultra. The old cleaning station required a lot more work to keep it clean. For my home the spinning mop pads have worked well. I still haven't had an improved experience with the mop rollers I've tried. That roller only touches the ground in one spot and I ended up with more streaks and the dirty water tanks are a pain to clean.

go roborock straight away. the navigation is key. other robots may clean better, in theory but if they can't circle around objects properly or move in proper patterns, then roborock will still be more effective. you can run it 2 times in the same time. currently testing the mova v50 and the first impression is: sending it back. i have alot of experience with the saros10r, it's cleaning the upper floor since months. the rooms in the first floor, where the mova is, has much less tables, charis and objects it needs to circle around - and it takes much longer to clean, if it doesn't leave out spots in the first place.

The MOVA V50 Ultra is just a last-gen flagship that still cleans great, and the T90 is made to be a budget pick (a great budget pick if you’re in the US but not in Australia). The Australian Consumer Law protects your customer interests, so paying a retailer like JB HiFi or Harvey Norman the extra insurance isn't worth it. I've written a review on the V50 Ultra , and it’s still cleaning great after cleaning several times a day!
