Mova V50 Ultra

r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review Awesome review! I'll add my quick two cents as well since I have also had both the E28 and now the V50 for about a week * I totally agree about your roller vs spinning mop assessment. I actually have found the V50 to mop significantly better in my house than the E28. My kitchen often has flour caked on the floor (messy partner). The E28 would leave big splotches of it every time, even when I had it mop the room twice. The V50 got it all in one go the first time. I also absolutely hate cleaning the E28's dirty water tank and roller, which you absolutely have to do weekly if you mop regularly because it gets very nasty. I really think now that roller mops are a gimmick that provides no advantage in normal household use * I found the E28's overall navigation to be better in some awkward rooms with a lot of furniture, but the V50 I found gets closer to edges much better * Object avoidance seems much better on the V50 so far. It has detected a lot more things than the E28 ever did in my house. One example, I have a rubber mat with small raised edges that I set cat food and water on. The E28 would want to steamroll over it every time and would get caught and spill the water dish, I had to add a no go zone. The V50 avoided it without issue first try. * I'm struggling to get the V50 to go under my bed, which it absolutely can fit if it lowers the lidar and is well within the advertised height. My testing on this so far has actually been concerning, it literally smacks its lidar on the bottom of the bedframe and won't go under, and I'm a bit worried it might damage itself. I know it can lower the lidar since it does it under my dressers, so still tinkering with settings to figure the bed issue out * I think Mova and Dreame has an issue with its wheels on models that can raise themselves. I was super impressed during its first run just how quiet it was, but after it lifted itself over a threshold the first time it now sounds like it's rattling on hardwood floors. I've heard similar stories from Mova and Dreame owners so I'm wondering if this is just to be expected. I'm going to open a support ticket for this
r/RobotVacuums · Long hair friendly Auto Vacuum? I have a household with long human hair and a lot of cat hair. Have experiences recently with the following robots Eufy E28: Very good vacuuming performance and never got a tangle on the roller. It very frequently got clogged with car hair when auto emptying however. Like, one out of every two times basically. Mova V50: Decent vacuuming performance, also never get tangles, but the bristles on one of the rollers sometimes would get a little caked with cat hair. Probably my favorite of the three. Roborock Saros 10R: Poor vacuuming performance in my experience, misses a lot of debris and drops clumps of hair when vacuuming carpet. No tangles on the rollers but strangely I was getting some hair tangling in the rear wheels.

r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review I’m really interested in this one. I actually have the v50 showing up Monday but I’m already thinking of keeping it boxed and sending it back because I have been using a Dreame l40 ultra that I’ve been pretty impressed with and while I’m sure the v50 is better, will I think it’s $500 better when it’s just me and my dog in a 1 bed apartment with mostly hard floors? Probably not. I also had the e28 myself and share some of your complaints so I sent it back. I know a lot of people are sold on the idea of roller mops over spinning mops but after being able to test both, I definitely agree that a good spinning mop is better than a subpar roller mop. And tbh, unless you have a lot of spills or overly stained floors, you’re really not going to see much of a difference in performance between a roller and spin mop. I’ve had the eufy e28, ecovacs t80 Omni and they both returned the same amount of dirty water as the l40 ultra did.
r/RobotVacuums · Impressed with Deebot T80 Omni and comparison to Eufy E25 The x40 that I bought was refurbished and had wonky navigation so I sent it back, but bought a new l40 ultra and I really like it. The navigation is pretty good and object avoidance has been pretty solid too. Is it perfect? No. And the T80 is probably still a bit better at mopping. But it was good enough for me to realize that it wasn’t worth paying the extra money for the T80 or e28. So both of them got sent back and I kept the l40 ultra. As for the Mova v50, I have it sitting in its box still in my house as I decided I’m going to send it back for the fact that I don’t feel it’s worth me spending twice the price as the l40 ultra for what is likely marginal performance gains. Don’t get me wrong I am sure it is better, but I’ve come to the conclusion that the robot vac tech is just moving so quickly that spending money on a premium robot whose features will be dated in just a couple years wasn’t a good idea. So I’m happy with the performance of the l40 ultra and will be keeping that one.

r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review While I haven't had any serious navigation issues yet, I've been hearing the same thing from other people. Most of my cleaning is either done while I'm not home or when I'm getting ready for bed. I'll have to pay better attention to battery life. I think I'm just really excited about the pet features, but maybe after a month I'll change my mind. For now they seem smart
r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review The short answer is yes! The long answer is the P10 has a single brush roller and not as much raw suction as the V50. The V50 has dual brush rollers that spin contrary to each other to more efficiently agitate your carpet and pick up more debris. I've been surprised!
r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review Thanks for your comments. I really want to like the Eufy E28 more than I do. When it comes to the lidar, I've had both my Dreame X50 and the Mova V50 be very temperamental about going under furniture. Sometimes they go without hesitation, other times it doesn't even try lowering the tower. I'm not sure how to set the low clearance area so it'll attempt it 100% of the time. I only have really one area that really needs the ability to climb thresholds but I haven't noticed any noises yet, I'll keep an eye out for that in the future.
r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review Yeah, I just tried using the beta setting and the V50 is now going under my IKEA furniture. Hopefully it doesn't get scratched but it seems to be doing pretty well so far.

r/RobotVacuums · Which roller mop for 1st robot vacuum? I am going to deviate from your list almost immediately. If you want low noise, you should aim for something like the Mova V50 or Roborock Saros 10R. Personally, I would choose the Mova V50 because it vacuums much, much better, especially on rugs and carpets. Unless your floors are really dirty or you spill stuff often and expect a robovac to clean it up, all mopping systems clean very well for routine cleaning. A robovac with spinning mops is extremely quiet - much quieter than anything with roller mops. Roller mops do clean better. But, most people vacuum and mop frequently. Under these circumstances, there are no practical differences in the results between roller mops and spinning mops. Both the Saros 10R and Mova V50 mop very well. Your floors will be spotless. Roller mops are brand new. The kinks have not been worked out of this system yet and they still require much more maintenance than the fairly perfected spinning mop systems that are super quick and easy to maintain. Good mopping with any robovac is entirely dependant on good vacuuming first. If your floors are not already mostly clean from vacuuming, it is pointless to mop with any robovac. This is why I think the Mova V50 meets your needs much better than you might think based on your criteria. I hope this helps!
r/Roborock · Should I upgrade from S8 Pro Ultra to Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow? What any upgrade on your part will mean is that any model you choose from any manufacturer will not vacuum nearly as well as your S8, but it will mop better and be easier to maintain. There are always tradeoffs and compromises. I have been fighting this same battle for two years. I tried eight different high end models. None came close to the vacuuming performance of the S8. The one that came the closest was the Mova V50. However, it struggled with cat litter on hard floors. All of them were super easy to maintain and mopped very well. Ever since the new spinning mops and roller mops were introduced, there isn't enough room in any robovac for a well performing vacuuming system anymore. No one is willing to buy a robovac without one of these new mopping systems. So, manufacturers stopped making models that could vacuum well. This is the only reason my S8s still do all the vacuuming and my Saros 10Rs do all the mopping. Good luck with your decision. It is a tough one! I hope this helps!
r/Roborock · Should I upgrade from S8 Pro Ultra to Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow? I no longer have the V50. I returned it. Even it did not vacuum as well as my S8s. However, it did vacuum far better than my 10Rs and mopped better than the 10Rs too. If I could have returned the 10R instead of the V50, I would have kept the V50. I really wanted to keep the V50. Since the S8s still vacuumed better on rugs and carpets, there was no reason to keep the V50 so it went back. The V50 vacuums better on rugs and carpets than any other model I tried that has a modern mopping system. It did struggle with cat litter on hard floors. I hope this helps!

r/RobotVacuums · My Detailed Comparison: Mova V50 Ultra Complete vs. Narwal Flow I have a Mova V50 and, like you, switched from a Roborock S7. \- I have linoleum floors and they apparently aren't supposed to be mopped with a lot of water anyways, so I reduced the water flow when using the Mova. I didn't notice it actually making a difference in how clean it felt, I just noticed a difference in how fast the floor dried. \- The Mova can't fit under my kitchen cabinets, but neither could my Roborock. \- My Roborock couldn't vacuum and mop at the same time, the suction was too weak and it would plaster hair to the wet floor when it mopped. I always had to vacuum once and mop separately afterwards. With the Mova V50, I can't vacuum first and mop afterwards, the battery will die. However I found out if I put the suction up high enough, I can vacuum and mop at once and it'll do the entire house without dying, and the suction is strong enough that hair actually gets picked up instead of getting plastered to the floor. I also turned off all the image sending features and some other stuff which presumably eats up battery during a run.
r/RobotVacuums · My Detailed Comparison: Mova V50 Ultra Complete vs. Narwal Flow My house is almost entirely tiles which are meant to look like fake dark wood. I also have lots of black furniture. The Mova V50 does just fine on tiles. However you have to mess with the settings. \- After it creates the initial map, go into the map settings and select flooring type, and change the type to tile. With this change, when it vacuums it'll actually start vacuuming right down the middle of the grout lines, or at least it did with mine. \- Every so often, run the vacuum on "max plus" (hardest suction setting) to get all the crumbs and dirt from the grout of the tiles. However this sucks up battery life fast. \- For normal daily vacuuming, set on any level of suction and it does fine. The Mova V50 can recognize black objects for what they are (dogs, climbable stuff, etc) but it's not always perfect and it seems to get worse object recognition at night. I'm not sure if on black tile there would be the risk that it would constantly run with its light on, but you can force it to turn the light off in the settings to save battery. Actually I think this is something you could message some YouTubers about or make a new post on various vacuum subreddits to test.

r/RobotVacuums · My Detailed Comparison: Mova V50 Ultra Complete vs. Narwal Flow On my Narwal Freo X Plus, Off-peak Charging is in Settings>General. But from what I saw in youtube video, Flow didn't seem to be in the same place. The dreame plumbing options don't seem to fit the V50. https://www.reddit.com/r/MOVA_robotvacuum/comments/1n0x0rp/mova_x50_ultra_with_refill_drainage_from_the Whether Flow will mop again in Freo mode depends on how dirty the mop (and possibly the water in the sewage tank) is when the robot returns to the station to clean. If most of the dirt you want removed is not removed the first time, the mopping of that area should end at that time.It may be better if you reduce the interval between mop rewashes.
r/RobotVacuums · My Detailed Comparison: Mova V50 Ultra Complete vs. Narwal Flow I would be surprised if Off-peak Charging is no more. That would be a shame. On Narwal's site, the plumbing models are not available for us to order right now; the plumbing options for the Freo Z may unofficially apply to the Flow as well, but I don't know. I have not heard of a plumbing option that fits the Mova V50, are you sure about that? Well, as long as it is not available at this time, this is a draw. As for obstacle avoidance, ideally the robot would clean objects that the user specifies without avoiding them. That may change someday if you continue to specify ignore.

I already had the Mova V50 but its battery couldn’t keep up with the size of my house. Was kind of upset that it didn’t include a soap dispenser. Another 40.00. Still waiting for that to be delivered. Overall, I like it for the price. It definitely does not have the bells and whistles of the Mova but it has a better battery life so that’s the trade off. I’m replacing the roller brush with a tricut I found on Amazon. We have a lot of cats so need one that won’t get wrapped up and will cut the hair.

r/RobotVacuums · What should i pick? mova v50 ultra vs ecovacs t90 pro omni At that gap, I would pick [Mova V50 Ultra](https://featherab.com/shopit?q=Mova%2BV50%2BUltra%2Brobot%2Bvacuum), ngl. A 500 AUD difference is big enough that the Ecovacs needs to be clearly better in your home, not just nicer on paper. I have been burned before by paying more for a robot that looked premium but did not give a matching ownership experience after support and maintenance entered the picture. If both have local warranty coverage and easy returns, the cheaper Mova is the cleaner bet. I would only pay for [Ecovacs T90 Pro Omni](https://featherab.com/shopit?q=Ecovacs%2BT90%2BPro%2BOmni%2Brobot%2Bvacuum) if you specifically value its dock design, app features, or local service path more than the savings. r/RobotVacuums · Dreame X50 Ultra Robot Vacuum - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY Agreed on the navigation and app but the others I have not experienced. Dreame and Movas navigation really needs work all of my robots from them have exhibited some amount of navigation confusion compared to roborock. Their obstacle avoidance, however is class leading. The app is horrendous, constantly showing ads and has spelling mistakes/translations mistakes. Needs some QOL tweaks. As for the vacuum performance, not seen that with my Mova V50 which is practically identical to the x50. Picks up dirt, cat litter and most debris just fine. Have yet to encounter debris that it doesn't pickup.
r/MOVA_robotvacuum · MOVA V50 Ultra vs Dreame X50 Ultra for the same price? V50 > X50. They are basically identical but the v50 has slightly better QOL features such as UV water disinfection which probably doesn't do much. Unless you absolutely need features such as threshold climbing and retracting lidar, I would just save my money and get the x40 certified refurb from dreame's eBay store https://www.ebay.com/itm/358554971565 Cleans as well, but isn't plagued by the bad battery life issues of the 50 series robots from dreame and Mova. Obstacle avoidance is about equal as well. I had two of them as a replacement for my Eufy x10s which I returned due to poor cleaning performance and navigation, they were significantly better and a great value for money in 2026

r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 Ultra vs MOVA V50 Ultra for the same price? Honestly, the Z 10 is really quiet, I find that overall it cleans better, like my floors, look visibly cleaner and shiny with the Z 10 rather than the V 50. r/Dreame_Tech · Dreame X50 Ultra vs MOVA V50 Ultra for the same price? My V50. Cleans my LPV floor moderately well. I give it 7/10 but I have pretty high standards here. Never once had a hair tangled. Very quiet I do not run while sleeping. It’s not completely silent and the dock is much louder when it routinely returns. My largest complaint is the battery life is terrible. I cannot clean my entire first floor without recharging, so I will typically do one half one day and the other half the next day. Recharging waits until 100% to resume which is very annoying when it’s 90% done.

r/RobotVacuums · The MOVA V50 Pro Ultra — Vacuum Wars' New #1 Robot Vacuum I'm considering upgrading from my central floor vacuum, the iRobot Roomba J7, to a new model, specifically the Mova V50 Ultra. I was initially looking at the Dreame X50 Ultra and the Aqua 10 Pro, but the Mova V50 Ultra caught my attention for a few reasons: \- It has better navigation. \- It can both vacuum and mop. \- It can climb over thresholds, which is crucial for me since I have a small workroom with a sliding glass door (similar to this image: https://nhomkinhauviet.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/2934416d1a25dc7b853435.jpg). I’ve read many positive reviews about the Mova V50 Ultra, and I feel confident about it. However, I am concerned about whether it can actually navigate over a sliding door track like the one in my workroom. r/RobotVacuums · Mova V50 Ultra: Honest Review I just got the MOVA V50 last week as well and noticed the same thing about it being a little gun shy/inconsistent with going under certain areas with retractable LIDAR. I have a pair of chinchillas and the clearance under their cage is a hair under 4". I noticed it would sometimes go under a little bit but not all the way (and sometimes just avoid it all together), so I used the remote control function and it could fit under the cage, but I didn't realize the bottom shelf sags a little bit in the middle, which caused the top cover to be scratched slightly. I have a couple of printer carts where the clearance is about 4" just to get under it, but the actual ceiling is maybe 4.5"-5" once you get under that and it will not go under that on it's own even though it can fit under it. There is a setting in Auto Lifting LDS that is still in beta where you can tell it to basically be less sensitive to that height clearance, but it also says may cause scratches. Haven't tried it myself, since I don't want to make those scratches worse.

r/RobotVacuums · Honest Dreame X50 Ultra (Pro) review - tl;dr included Pet odor one is awesome, but I'd personally wait and see this feature because at 1:200 dilution dunno how it will 'neutralize' anything. The 3 mop pad design is interesting but right now it sounds like overengineering to me. That's another thing I want to see changed in the feature, they need to make the dilution significantly higher because right now there is barely any noticeable difference between normal water vs water with the dilution. I agree with the maintenance improvements, that would be a great upgrade too.

I have a Eufy S1 Pro and a recently purchased Mova V50 (despite the obvious differences), the Mova does a far better job of vacuuming (albeit duo brush, extending/lifting brush arm) than the S1. I have all hardwood 1st floor with occasional area rugs, and it does a great job of carpet and edges. If there’s a large liquid mess or large food debris, I’m usually not using a robot for that quick task.

I have a long haired corgi who I suspect is part alien for how big he is! I sometimes check the dustbin before it autoempties and *wow* that’s a lot of fur that would have choked my old robot up which is why I’d run my old one twice a day. I can now run my new one once a day. I use a similar model too, the MOVA v50.
> Low noise levels (since someone will always be at home when the vacuum is running). I found the Z60 ultra roller to be acceptably quiet but louder than the V50 at about 57-60dB when vacuuming on turbo mode but acceptably quiet at 50-5555dB ish and about 54-56dB when mopping. It generally uses less water than the V50 ultra even when I set it to clean its mop on the deep setting.

> I also discovered that if you have a floor-length mirror the lidar thinks there's a room beyond it. I don't know if this is an alternative dimension but I could never get the vacuum to go there 😉. Same here! Otherwise it follows it pretty well. I think this is an easy firmware fix u/Your_MOVA_Guru
Even though I received this as a gift from MOVA in exchange for creating content on Reddit I’m not a fan of the battery life too! My home is nowhere near 1000sqft that most people describe having and want a robot yet it’s below 50% after a simple vacuum run on standard suction. Finishes its vacuum first then mop run at like 20 something percent. I’ve also calculated the battery efficiency in my home (performance will vary based on how complex and big your home is) Vacuuming on standard suction and standard pathing: 0.972sqm (10.5sqft) cleaned for every 1% consumed Mopping on standard pathing and moisture level set to 16/32 : 2.07sqm (22.29sqft) for every 1% consumed For those with large homes, I think the resume cleaning function will be your best friend. I’d definitely run this way before any guests are coming over so it has more than enough time to charge (it charges pretty fast too). In comparison to my old one which was much more battery efficient with more than 50% after doing a vacuuming first then mopping task, it’s much quieter, picks up much more fur (the most important aspect for me), the base station keeps itself cleaner and the mop washboard is easier to clean, no more dust mites that spawned from the dust bag (I like the dustbin and dustbag drying on here especially since it’s 86% humidity most of the time like Florida or Texas), lifts much more grease from my kitchen floors with the hot water mop washing working to remove grease (so much oil on top of the dirty water in the dirty water tank after I set it to CleanGenius deep clean which shows the hot water was responsible for being able to bring the grease from the mop into the dirty water tank since it wasn’t emulsified), and I don’t have to save the robot anymore. I think that’s a fine tradeoff for me to make. Just like every robot vacuum (other than MO from wall-e), there’s a tradeoff.
If your dog doesn’t shed that much like my long haired corgi (who may also secretly be an alien/shetland sheepdog), I don’t think so. I really do like the mop washboard on this one compared to the l40 ultra but cleaning it really depends on personal preference and I’m not really a fan of having to stay down to clean under the drain.
I do not hear a rattling noise when the ProLeap/StepMaster wheels are used but rather mechanical whirring when it is raising its legs and lowering them.
For a beagle that sheds a lot (can relate as someone who lives with a *heavily shedding long haired corgi* who we think is part alien since he’s 2 times bigger than a standard breed corgi), I’d recommend the Dreame/MOVA models with the fur compression model as they generally have bigger dustbins and can make good use of the space in the dustbin. MOVA sent me their MOVA V50 ultra in exchange for making content about it. I wrote an honest review of it that you can check here. I recommend the V50 over the Dreame X50 mainly because it has more helpful upgrades like better mopping (review has more details and I’m lazy to type too much), dustbin and dustbag drying helps reduce odor, and the duosolution tank can use a regular mopping solution and a pet odor neutralization solution which surprisingly worked in my home. Just not a fan of how the glossy plastic finish and the battery life being shorter than what I expected but floors are fur and drool free~ https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/ Navigation in my experience has worked in straight lines and it was never driving like it was drunk unless someone tried to trap the robot on purpose (which has happened several times) which will drive any robot mad. It stayed consistent in my use with the firmware it shipped with and the latest current firmware. Outcomes can be different due to the different layouts of homes. The roborock Saros 10 is also a good choice if you need it to go under lower clearance.
For fur, absolutely. The TriCut brush on my old robot (same vacuum dustbin design as the p50) couldn’t consistently pick up fur as well from carpets compared to the dual antitangle brushes on my V50.
https://www.the-ambient.com/news/mova-v50-ultra-ces-2025/ > Finally, it also packs in a DuoSolution System; a dual cleaning compartment designed to eliminate pet odors. This is all I found. Hope it works (and that it is secretly backwards compatible with other dreame models). MOVA is finally showing their more experimental designs in the international market when all they did before was repackage dreame models at a budget-ish price. I do expect the MopSwap Hub to be further refined or axed in the future and probably make its way into a Dreame product.
Jamie Andrews did say dreame was working on a very similar robot to the MOVA Z50 Ultra but based on the X50 Ultra so it may come with even better vacuuming with the double brushes with a name that is too long to remember (I’ll shorten it to dualstream). Absolutely hated that arm thing. Gimmick was a waste of R&D funds until it matures into an actual solution that can help the physically disabled and the elderly. I would have preferred a better self cleaning design where they can clean the brushes and side brushes to turn it into nearly maintenance free. The MOVA V50 Ultra is also worth taking a look at. It’s the only combo bot that I am aware of that can change the type of mop pads (3 are in the station) through the MopCarousel system to better suit the floor type. It also comes with some duo solution thing that they claim will neutralize pet odors (I’d love this feature and I think many other pet owners will as well). It’s basically a souped up X50 Ultra.
The MOVA V50 Ultra is just a last-gen flagship that still cleans great, and the T90 is made to be a budget pick (a great budget pick if you’re in the US but not in Australia). The Australian Consumer Law protects your customer interests, so paying a retailer like JB HiFi or Harvey Norman the extra insurance isn't worth it. I've written[ a review on the V50 Ultra](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1mmdaw4/still_not_perfect_but_my_dog_and_i_think_the_mova/), and it’s still cleaning great after cleaning several times a day!
